Was nice for 1 night. I loved the pods that locked. Felt very safe staying there. Bathroom was okay
Walking downstairs to techno music blaring at 7:30am wasn’t great.
Best stay in Cambodia, clean, helpful, and peaceful!!
Eberything is great at this place. Bar, lounge just a good vibe an all the workers the best!
The location is near a lot of food options.
nothing , it is the worst experience and the attitude of the staff is horrible
from the time i arrived they were in the plan for cheating me in the worst way which i could not never imagine. i had booked a 6 seater AC dorm ,First the non Cambodian staff who checked me in made me instead stay in a pod dorm with 10 beds ,slyly assuring me that the pod is better than the AC dorm . once in the pod, after 5 minutes i realized that wthe fan above me was not working and the AC was also too far away and so the wooden pod was extremely hot which made me stuffy. So, i came down to the reception asking for the dorm which i had booked originally. the non Cambodian staff again discouraged me saying that the pod is better, but still if refused to listen to him and asked to be shifted to my original 6 bedded dorm, so i was taken there ultimately but ALAS to my HORROR the AC WAS NOT WORKING here, they told me that within 10 minutes it would work , but it would not ,the cooling was extremely low and the temperature control did not work at all. the fan was also a small one and didnt help much in the hot summer heat , the room had no windows . it was already getting late going to be 3 pm, so i left the hostel since i had to go to the genocide museum.( i had only 1 afternoon left in Phnom Penh). i reached back the hostel at around 7 pm , and after sometime , i came to the reception to complain about it , the staff came to the room with a service boy , who could not help the cooling , What this staff told me was the most shocking . he said that SINCE I AM ONLY ONE PERSON IN A 6 BEDDED DORM FOR THE NIGHT , THE HOSTEL IS LOSING POWER BACK UP AND ELECTRICITY and so it is a LOSS FOR THEM SO THEY CANNOT HELP ME MORE and provide me AC. i also asked them if they could downgrade me and shift me to a dorm which had atleast AC, WHiCH HE SAID HE CANNOT DO IT.(because the only other dorm was the pod) this was my worst experience in a hostel in my years of travel. So, i took my bags and left the property immediately after 5 minutes shocked in disbelief.
The value for money is unbeatable if you book a bed in a dorm, but i wouldn't have feel safe as i was alone. The location is convenient to catch the airport shuttle.
The private room was expensive compared to other places and it was gloomy, the ventilation very loud.
We stayed 2 nights at the Double Room with Pool View. It has the basics of what we need. The room has both Aircon and fan. The windows and glass door are covered / blacked out from the heat and light. There is access to the shared balcony. The view is looking out to the neighbourhood and looking down to the pool. We didn't use the pool though. Pros: - Located close to the railway station and to the city centre at walking distance. Easily accessible by tuktuk - local street food stalls close to the hostel - Simplicity and cleanliness of the accommodation.
Cons: - the blackout sheets on the glass window and door aren't really sealed properly so the cool air from the Aircon was escaping from the room. - the shower water pressure is low.
Value for money. Good staff.
No food.
The price and location
the facilities
Friendly staff
Limited restaurant menu.
Close proximity to Vireak Bunthan bus station ,Airport Express bus stop, eateries etc
Nothing in particular.1 or 2 hook for cloth and a small tray inside capsule would make life easier inside.
Good location close to the bus stop, convenient for a short stop
The dorm is a bit impractical, there is no place to put any personal belongings next to your bed while you sleep. The upper beds have no curtains.
The location is nice by the river. The staff takes good care of things.
The fact that women stay in the 4 beds women room one day and leave the next day. It becomes a lot of sheet changing and staff checking on that room all the time, like a hassle. The other thing is the A/C in the room. It can get pretty cold some times, and there is no remote control to adjust it.
The Eighty8 hostel is a laid back, quiet and clean place. I enjoyed my stay there. Thank you.
Ubicación y A/C , camas grandes
Booking couldn’t be found in the system.
Expansive building. Choice of.dorms or individual rooms. Bar downstairs with food available.
Nothing
Cheap,AC
When I was there, there were so many scammers, and I’m certain that’s what they were doing. There were actually four telecom scammers staying right in my room, which made me feel very unsafe. This is likely because Cambodia has been cracking down on scam compounds recently. Women, in particular, should be extra careful.
Large expansive building. Swimming pool, pool table, and large bar. Food is available as well. Pod room is the ticket. 4 Shers and 2 sinks with mirror.. Hot adjustable shower and comfortable AC. Best hostel in the city.
Nothing
The entire place is a really awesome place. Very clean a the owner a staff are really cool an always there to help with anything you need.
Everything staff a very clean!

I liked the supportive behavior of the owner and the convenient location to go around other places.
I didn't like the geyser in the bathroom as there was no water when I wanted to take a shower.
Great staff, friendly and welcoming. Super clean, comfortable. Plenty of safe space for all belongings. Muiltiple areas to sit and relax whether that’s outside the rooms in the sun outside or down in the very spacious bar&restaurant area. For a hostel this place is a 10/10. Would recommend to anyone who visits Phnom Penh.
There is nothing to dislike.
Friendly stuff, clean, highly recommended 👌
The staff
Absolut Top .Late Check in .Motorbikes to Rent in the Hostel cheep beer the owner was helping with a lot of things and aranged a free Pick up by the Bus Company when we left.
The King did Not come around to say hello
Good "bicycle-friendly" hostel for long-distance cyclists. Bikes can be parked next to the entrance (inside), the six-bed dormitory has plenty of space for the panniers and bags. Stable WiFi, draft beer at the bar 1$. R
Just loved the ambience and the friendly staff
Was a great time to staying with Eighty8 the staff super friendly and helpful- I wanted to recommend your guys to stay here . Nice swimming pool. Great music you can playing your favorite music or karaoke 😜 also the bass are really helping and friendly

Was great to staying here . Staff was friendly helping a lot also the bass are really nice. They’ve recommend a lot of traveling about staying in Phnom Penh for a couple days helping for travel from Phnom Penh direct to the island and free return . Cheap price. We’re would like to recommend your guy to stay here super nice and hospitality . We will stay here again
Was great and comfortable
Was a great time to meet up good people
Was great with swimming pool chilling
I often travel to Phnom Penh. I wish I had discovered this place earlier. First of all, it’s a safe place. The staff are very kind and helpful. I loved the pod rooms. The pool is cool and clean. I’ll definitely come back.
The staff were lovely, they have water refill at the bar, but the water refill were dirty and had a lot of mosquito's larva, there's a water heater.
There wasn't hair dryer & the POD room had no key on it. Then locker had no padlock, so bring your own.
Ants in the shower gel!
I liked the fact that I could walk to a lot of important and famous spots in the area, such as the Wat Phnom, the Market, but it does take some time to walk to the Museum and Royal palace.
What I didn't like was that, maybe they could have provided slippers to enter into the bathroom and maybe they can regularly clean the public toilet at the lobby. Maybe improve the airconditioning.
If you are fond of nightlife then do not stay in this hostel. Because the gate is closed at 12:00 in the night and if you are outside then you will remain outside because they do not open the gate after that. Even if you ring the bell, there is no response.
Feels like a crack den. Walked in and felt very uncomfortable. No backpacker scene. Aircon hardly works. Wanted to leave
Toilets for PODs really need some extra-care and fixing.
Close to the bus station and Wat Phnom Daun Penh, the place to be for the Cambodian New Year. The beds were big and comfy.
Not much atmosphere.
Average
Location was good, staff seemed friendly
The property has gone all out as a party hostel and is probably the loudest place I've stayed at in Asia despite having very few people at the bar. We were staying on the top floor and it was still pretty loud until about 1am on a Sunday when we stayed. The place was apparently fully booked but weirdly only about 5 -10 people in the bar when we checked in around 11pm. Rooms were a decent size but the bathroom wasn't clean. Apparently no sound insulation anywhere and no one seemed to mention this in the reviews! If you want to go out drinking every night this could be for you, don't stay here if you want to sleep!
The pod bed was AMAZING, Super clean and comfy, there is also a fan inside to keep it cool with the AC outside, The room has 2 ACs which makes it a perfect temperature. WIFI is also fast and stable. The staff were super nice and helpful, definitely recommended.
There was 4 washroom inside the room which is great but only one of them has toilet paper. Not a big issue but Just a small comment
