The hotel is handily placed in the centre of Malvern. The welcome was warm and friendly and all the staff were excellent. The hotel bar had a great choice of Ales and I enjoyed dinner. There was a downstairs bar that showed the football. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom looked recently decorated. Breakfast (and service) was excellent. I would definitely stay again.

Another excellent stay at the Great Malvern Hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was very tasty (especially the porridge) and the customer service very good as ever.

Excellent breakfast menu however you had to decide everything you wanted at order. No offer of other items if not ordered. When asked for toast after order was told I already had fried bread!!

A great stay. I stay in many hotels every year (more than 80 days per year). This was the best breakfast I have had for many years. I stayed in the studio. Didn't look great in an annexe. However the standard of accommodation was first class. Would actually try to book this next time!

Excellent location close to Malvern Theatres, loved the excellent breakfast, very clean room and the bowl of old fashioned sweets in the room was a cute, and appreciated, touch !

We stayed during the heatwave in July so we’re grateful for a powerful tower fan provided and the ability to open the sash windows wide. Even so it was very hot in the room

The rooms are rather stuffy and warm in the hot weather, but to be expected in an old building, and there was a big sash window to let in fresh air.

Our 2nd visit to the Great Malvern. Very friendly hosts, lovely breakfasts and very nice bar area, with Benji, the friendliest dog ever ! Great location, was only a 5 minute drive from the Morgan Car Tour Experience - the purpose of our visit. Would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant was fabulous. Home made pies and much more. The bathroom was huge.

The central location was unbeatable and the staff were very friendly. As mentioned in other reviews, breakfast was particularly impressive! The hotel is ideally suited for people walking the Malvern Hills: the room included a mat for muddy boots, which was a nice touch.

Breakfast was lovely, great vegan choices and friendly, warm service from all staff. Nothing was too much trouble throughout my stay and I will definitely return

Lovely light, airy, double-aspect room with a spacious brand new modern bathroom. Downstairs bar areas were just like a 1950s rural pub so not for us but the breakfast upstairs was great. On-site parking much appreciated.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Great Malvern. Excellent service, rooms & breakfast.

We stayed for two nights. Breakfast on the first morning was delicious and entertaining! For the second morning the staff very kindly made us a cold packed breakfast tray, the night before, to take away with us as we were having to check out at 5.30am. This was also a perfect combo and delicious! Our room was clean and very comfortable, and well supplied with tea and coffee. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Malvern on foot, which we did while there. An would be a great spot for exploring further afield too. Would love to have stayed longer.

Parking! We always filter for free parking when looking for hotels. Parking here is very limited and very tight, not suitable for our vehicle (short wheel-base transit-size van). We did manage to wiggle around in the shared parking behind though.

Clean and spacious and comfortable room. That said, the highlight of each day is the amazing breakfast in the peaceful dining room.

“Busy” area of Malvern, so occasionally the street noise was noticeable. Not too much of a concern and the room was laid out very nicely to minimize this, but if I had to offer a criticism, that is all I have.

The studio apartment was excellent - very clean, quiet, well furnished. lots of space, Literally across the road from the hotel front door. Breakfast was excellent - great choice, excellent service by the host and everything served without any plastic or paper wrapping. small jars for butter, sugar, jam, coffee etc!

Very minor issue and only for awareness the staircase to the first floor apartment is a little bit steep so some people may need to take extra care if carrying luggage.

Parking was a bit tricky but not terrible.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good but one of us does not have breakfast anyway. The hotel was very well situated for all that Malvern has to offer and we enjoyed visiting quite a few places although the museum was closed. The room was a studio opposite the hotel and was clean and comfortable. We did get disturbed by the bin men in the alley behind the studio around 07:30 emptying many bins, but there is not much that can be done about that and will only be on that particular day every couple of weeks. We were staying at the hotel as we were attending the Malvern flower show at the 3 counties showground which we really enjoyed. We had intended to use the shuttle bus to the event but went in the car instead which was easy and better if you are buying a lot at the show. The hotel is near the base of the Malvern hills so is ideal if you want to go walking which we intend to do when we return later in the year.

It can be a little noisy at times as it is on a main road junction and if you are staying when the bin men empty the bins to the flats behind the studio.

Quality of ingredients for breakfast was great. Hotel bar buzzy with folks from outside coming in - felt lively. Owner is a real character - more Prunella Scales than John Cleese. Shower was a real highlight, excellent temperature and pressure after a long walk.

The location was fantastic, right in the town. The room was light and roomy, beautiful clean facilities and welcoming staff. And breakfast was delicious and generous.

This is our 4th visit to the property and it did not disappoint. Staff are friendly and helpful, beds are comfortable, rooms spacious and clean, breakfasts are fabulous & evening meal are good value & delicious. Plus a great location.

The hotel is very nice with a cosy, family run vibe. Nice rooms, great food, bar has loads of local ales, and perfect location for shops, local pubs and restaurants, and for getting up into the hills. Stayed and / or eaten here a few times now, am sure I will be back again!

Few issues getting the shower to work, but all got resolved.
