On site parking and location
All good ideal for a overnight stop over
The cooked breakfast was fine but they need to invest in new toasters! The staff were pleasant and helpful but they are working in difficult conditions.
The hotel is in need of investment the carpets are worn the furnishings are cheap tired and tasteless the pillows like bricks. The shower rooms were grotty and the shower was useless
Car park and restaurant were very nice and in a good location
The stairs
The room was very clean and comfortable. The food well the breakfast was superb with plenty of choice. The restaurant evening meals were brilliant and again the menu choice was brilliant.
In all honesty nothing at all The Mount Pleasant was everything that I needed for my stay 100% first class and well pleased with everything
Excellent location for exploring Malvern. Room basic and small, but clean and comfortable. Staff delightful and accommodating.
Breakfast basic and room for improvement. Continental selection poor selection and poor quality: small boxed basic cereal and little additional options.
Easy to find in a nice location and good parking spaces.
Did not find receptionist very welcoming. Small double bed so not a very comfortable sleep for two people. A notice explaining a £50 fine if any of your own food or drink was brought into the property. Poor continental breakfast though a food full breakfast was available. Did not find the hotel very welcoming or comfortable for the price I paid.
The staff behind the bar and the table service bringing our food to the table went above and beyond especially during the evening of September 6th, we were very well looked after excellent friendly service which made our experience as a group of 13 dining with you extremely pleasurable. Also compliments to the chef
Good location
Room disappointing and overpriced
Location Quiet and comfortable night’s sleep Pleasant staff
The room - tired and old looking. Duvet cover marked The bathroom - smelly, (damp / mould smell) In need of decoration Cost of stay did not represent value for money
The breakfast was outstanding, plenty of choice & perfectly cooked
My room was a little tired & definitely ready for a fresh coat of paint & the carpet needs replacing. The room was very close to the catering facilities so could be very noisy.
Lovely hotel, with historical features and amazing views Tasty breakfast included with booking, you help yourself to continental and get a choice of hot meal All the staff we met were very friendly and happy to help Couldn't recommend more and so close to all the local amenities and activities
Cooked breakfast was very good. We had the veggie option and it was very varied and tasty. Continental breakfast was rather limited and was not really adequate if you didn’t want a cooked breakfast, but what was on offer was nice. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The rooms felt clean and had plenty of storage space. Location was lovely as you could look out over the town and also back towards the hills.
The bedroom we were in ( no. 12) was tired and the double bed was tiny. I hardly slept all night as my husband kept hitting me every time he turned over! The furniture is functional and simple but lacks character and cohesion. The shower thermostat seems to have given up as even when turned fully to cold it was still too hot to actually stand under it. Personal preference: I don’t like instant coffee and don’t drink black tea, I settled for a hot chocolate but a herb and/or fruit tea option would have been nice, especially as no bottled water was available as an alternative. Toiletries are the bare minimum (a shower/hair gel) so remember to take conditioner and body lotion if you use them. Our room was at the front level with the outdoor drinking area so was rather noisy, but as it was our families wedding party making the noise I ignored it. But if you want a quiet room, ask for one at the back!
Excellent location, very clean, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent
Slight odour coming from the drains in the bathroom
Close to all amenities excellent breakfast
No good for people with walking issues, lots of stairs in main building
Close to town & the location we were there for
Room was through the fire door on a metal floor
The location was great and the staff were all awfully nice.
The room had tiny windows, and it was still in the heat wave.
Economy room was not as shown on website. A lot smaller than expected from room shown. Breakfast disappointing especially continental side. Breakfast service a bit haphazard.
breakfast everything was deep fried
Useful carpark and central
The bedroom was invested with flies (room 18) When asked to be moved rooms we were told that they wernt any rooms available with a smirk
Location Friendly Staff
Average Breakfast
Amazing location with beautiful views across the hills. Friendly staff. We had a good breakfast.
Excellent location Comfortable

Pleasant helpful staff. Great location
Limited car parking
Good breakfast
Nothing happy with stay
Excellent evening meals and the full breakfast. Staff were excellent.
Continental breakfast was bland. No muesli croissants or loaves of bread to choose and cut to your liking. The steep hill from the shops and stairs to the room was hard work. Limited parking created parking anxiety and we were constantly worried we wouldn't get a parking space and would have to park at the bottom of the hill. As a result we always came back early from day trips to secure a spot. Even though upstairs, windows can only open two inches from the bottom so impossible to create a draft during the recent hot weather. Even with a fan it was very uncomfortable trying to sleep. No fridge in the room to keep cold drinks.
comfy beds, good shower, good veggie breakfast included in room rate. car park was a big bonus
room was very hot and the window only opened a bit. the fan provided help a bit but meant a poor nights sleep
Everything you could want on site, for an amazingly relaxing break. And some quaint interesting shops within walking distance. Friendly staff. 2 amazing restaurant on site. Perfect.
All was great.
Great location, lovely hotel and rooms
Was very warm and window would only open a small amount.
The location is excellent and the staff were great. The restaurant was good with excellent service.
The room had no views and windows were opaque not good for the cost and the towels were very thin and small in the bathroom. A hotel costing this per night should be better
Grandness quirky lots of stairs
Nothing
Good location, helpful staff
Breakfast was great. Location was close to many good restaurants and bars
Signage to reception/restaurant was a bit lacking from the room.
Lovely location and a very nice welcome at reception. Food was good in the restaurant too
Nothing
Staff were very friendly and hospitable, the room was so big and the bed very comfy! Breakfast was so delicious. Great location to walk the hills with entry via the rose gardens right next door. The Lantern offered amazing Indian dinner too!
Nothing, loved it all!
The hotel is in a fantastic spot with incredible views. The rooms could do with a little updating but are clean and the bed was very comfortable
Being in a town on a road it can be a little noisy at night
I liked the location, nice and near to Malvern Hills. The restaurant down stairs, the food was lovely.
Rooms and bed were smaller than I'm used to but comfortable
Great posiion, very good value, excellent spacious rooms, on site parking, helpful staff. Couldn't ask for more
Hotel and room was great
Breakfast was bad,egg was so hard must have been deep fried and on the second day I returned my breakfast as not had a long hair in it,also egg was horrible again,so I would stay again but not with breakfast included that is if you do room only.
Location was excellent
The room we stayed in was very small and was overlooking the back of hotel. No view and it was too hot although they supplied a fan. Didn’t like the electric shower either too hot or too cold and it was difficult to open the shower door. At one point I couldn’t get out. Very small bathroom. I think the price of room 18 wasn’t value for money. The breakfast was nice.
Excellent breakfast and location. Room was okay
Mulberry restaurant was a little bit disappointing - food was okay but dull
Awful room Nothing worked Fan broken Shower didn’t work Blinds broken. No staff to talk too
Awful room Nothing worked Fan broken Shower didn’t work Blinds broken. No staff to talk too
I arrived on a motorcycle. With the walled car park and all large fenced off smoking area, ample space to park a motorcycle totally hidden from the road.
Very comfortable. Fabulous views.
The room was clean
The continental breakfast offering was really poor. I didn't want a hot breakfast but there were limited cereal offers, the fresh fruit was just water melon that tasted strange. There was also no pastries. Not great for what you pay. Just basic toast and marmite or jam. I only had breakfast there 1 o f the 3 nights as a result.
Location is fab
While it’s very clear the decor lacks any character or style shame as a beautiful building from the outside and would have been prime in its day.
The hotel is centrally located and my stay represented good value for money. I was in Great Malvern for one evening to go to the theatre. The staff were friendly and welcoming and keen to please. One or two features in the room in terms of decor and equipment were dated. This did not detract from my stay but these aspects were noticeable. I would happily stay at the hotel again.
Very clean. Polite and helpful staff. Comfortable. Good location.
Very pretty Comfortable and spacious room and large beautiful bathroom. Breakfast was great
Views, car park, bar, breakfast
Noise extractor above kitchen
Reception, Room, and Breakfast, and location at the top of the town, were all that could have been hoped for and expected.
The only niggle was that in the morning the water in the en-suite shower-room was no more than lukewarm, even after running the tap for a god while; alright with the heat-wave weather but would be less good with more average temperatures.
Great location for walking the Malvern hills and a midway stop between Ledbury and the Worcester way.
The terrace and curry was amazing
I prefer to stay in somewhere that has some history relevant to the town rather than a modern 'everything works' place so I assumed the hotel might be a bit faded grandeur and I am happy with that. The room was large and beautifully proportioned with sash windows and a pretty comfortable bed but a wood chip ceiling with obvious water damage. I don't mind that but keep your expectations at this level. Lovely old house with beautiful views down over Malvern and easy access to the hills and the Priory. Has a lovely feel of being a former focal point of the town,
Would have liked a fridge to avoid having to have UHT milk portions for the coffee/tea. We ate in the dining room on one night and it was OK nothing special and the breakfast left A LOT to be desired. For example, the bread was brown or white supermarket cheap - it would be easy to have decent bread and, in a hotel, offer croissants/pain au chocolat - in the town I saw at least two pretty good looking bakeries. The scrambled eggs were done with an air thingy which is my personal dislike and they couldn't cook poached eggs. The inclusive breakfast doesn't include the cost of tea and coffee which was a first for me! The reception was rather intermittently manned and I, as a guest, had to help two separate arrivals with directions to go downstairs to the restaurant. after a tiring travel, it doesn't set the hotel up well. Although there are a few electric car chargers, none were working (and haven't been for a while), and, in my opinion, are very badly located - they are up a very very steep hill which, as anyone with an electric vehicle will know, is worrying for a low slung car/battery. Is there an outside terrace? yes, ... in the car park!
nicely situated
terrible parking, very strange layout - restaurant with no bar seating and stuff ushering you away. The reception was just a desk plonked in a room and a seeming rather clueless receptionist. Room was tidy but clearly hasnt been p[ainted ot updates for at least a decade. My window opened directly onto the back of the Indian restaurant so all i could smell for my stay was curry.
Really friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good and The Latern, Indian restaurant, was fantastic, lovely food. Great position, we had a room at the front that overlooked the Priory, and the countryside, for miles beyond.
Beautifully renovated room - fabulous bathroom. Friendly staff and great breakfast, including veggie options
The room I was allocated was right next to the beer garden, so had to keep the net curtains across, and headphones in. I'd booked one of the lower cost rooms, though, and appreciate a room with a view would have been more expensive
The location & availability of parking were excellent. Dinner & breakfast were both very good and all staff were helpful. Easy check-in.
Unfortunately stayed at hottest time of year & the 2 (vertical type/very weak) fans in our room did not make a huge difference to the heat.
We only stayed for 1 night, but it was a good experience. It was very quiet.
It would have been better to have a fridge in the room.
room - modern, great shower and large tv screen; breakfast - lovely filling cooked English breakfast. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location - exactly where I needed to be.
bed - was oddly hard
Parking right outside, clear check in instructions, helpful staff. Breakfast was nice. Good central location.
Bed was so hard, pillows very old and duvet was way too hot.
Excellent breakfast and friendly staff
There were no glasses in the room, so we had to use cups for drinking water.
The location was great, fantastic views from the front of the property and the beer garden. Bar/ breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful.
WiFi was patchy. The room we were allocated was actually identical to a Pontins chalet, not an integrated hotel room that we had expected from the pictures on Booking.com. No lounge, which is weird.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast suburb. Room super.
booking.com technology.
Staff were very nice and breakfast was lovely
Evening meal was disappointing for price. My burger was burnt. Room was clean but could do with TLC. Quite expensive for what it was
It's originality
The stairs
The hotel and room were lovely and very comfortable - fabulous bathroom in my room. The staff were excellent, couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. The Mulberry Restaurant was great - delicious food and excellent, polite service. Location was great for Royal Three Counties show.
Sadly, the Lantern Indian restaurant was a shambles. We booked a table for 7.30 pm, but ended up walking out at 8.10 pm having been ignored and not even offered a drink. Another 2 people who were there before us, walked out 10 minutes earlier. I have never walked out of a restaurant in my life.
Staff were helpful.and kind. Wonderful view overlooking the Abbey
Any issue resolved quickly so no.complaints at all
The room was large with a great view over Malvern and the priory. Breakfast was very good. Location was right in the centre of Malvern with the priory just across the road.
Nothing it was all good.
It was all good
Nothing
Good location , comfortable and clean. Friendly staff and good value for money.
Shower temperature erratic and pressure low.
Didn't like the bread, nor the toaster. It is not practical for guests to use.
Being given a menu card with prices on.
Good location
Limited parking, no water glass or bottled water in the room
Breakfast was excellent & dining area was comfortable. We stayed in Room 4 which was a large bright room with a lovely view however there is no air con just a fan. We were extremely hot all night plus the duvet on the bed was a heavy winter tog. The shower was over the bath but not very good & the toilet did not flush well. We have stayed there previously & would stay again but hopefully they’ll sort the plumbing out.
The room was too hot & the bathroom called be improved.
Easy to find location, plenty of parking if needed.
Lack of hot water in the bathroom. Both for the shower or the sink. The room was right over the beer garden so this could have been quite unpleasant on a weekend. Reception closes at 6pm until 10am the next day, and lacks information on what to do in an emergency.
Great views and location. Comfortable bed.
Property was great. A bit pricey for one night.
Brilliant location for popping out to shops walks etc. Reception staff very nice most waitress service excellent. First morning breakfast super and evening g meal value for money
Roomss very tired now same room as last year peeling wallpaper on ceiling window frame black mould around edges glass dirty . Faded headboard bathroom just ok . Little choice second day the breakfast low choice of everything and evening meal poor choice to busy so service poor.
Great location, good parking. Decent price, good breakfast.
Nothing
Excellent location for hills walks and prxomity to towns bars, cafes and restaurents. Room was basic but clean and functional. Conveneint parking excellent breakfast
Shower was a bit fidly and the head was scaled up.
Receptionist is knowledgeable and friendly. Staff in the pub restaurant were also nice peopl.
Friendly helpful staff, great location, tasty breakfast

Location
Dirty everywhere Very bad mattreses
Great location. Food was good.
Lots of stairs in the property. Parking very tight.
The location of the hotel.
The bedroom and the bathroom facilities. There was virtually no space for both of us to be moving around the bedroom at the same time. The bathroom facilities were very basic. There was no view from the bedroom which was at the back of the hotel above the kitchen which was not very pleasant. It was a very expensive stay considering that the facilities were very basic. The breakfast was disappointing as many of the items on the menu were not available.
It’s location , the car park & breakfast
The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable & poorly furnished The entire place is in need of refurbishment
The hotel is in a lovely location and the staff are friendly and most accommodating.
The room was lovely but over the entrance to the hotel so other guests were constantly banging the door, not the hotels fault but it kept us awake most nights. Also the price we paid was double what we paid last year which I do think is a little excessive, I think there should be a deal or discount for staying 3 nights or more.
Position and view,very good breakfast.
Breakfast
The room was very basic ,the shower looked very tired and need of renewing ,only saw reception when we booked otherwise closed.beds could be more comfortable.
Very friendly staff.Indian restaurant excellent
No fruit left at breakfast and when asked for more refused
Excellent location. Beautiful building and could be a fabulous hotel but needs a lot of money spending on it. Room was lovely and our view was exceptional. Staff were friendly. Outdoor seating is nicely done.
The hotel overall is tired. Breakfast only had one staff member on trying to do everything. She tried her best.
View from window is astonishing!
small selection of food at breakfast. Very expensive "Cappuccino"
Perfect location if you’re wanting to be central.
There was nothing I didn’t like.
The location was perfect for our needs.
Perhaps a slightly larger portion of kippers for breakfast
Excellent location, a short walk from the Malvern town centre, about 3 mins walk, the rooms are clean and functional and the staff all super friendly. Breakfast was great, good selection of food, well cooked and friendly table service. Parking and Wi-Fi being included is always a winner for me also. Will stay here again for sure.
I am being super picky, but the walls between some rooms are very thin and you can hear others snoring, the showers are electric and not very powerful but still functional and clean. The rooms outside, to the rear of the property can be very loud, I was awoken early as the bottle bin was emptied at the back of the pub/restaurant, this is something that must be looked into, such as a no noise policy before 09:00 ???
The hotel is in a good position and the views are beautiful.
The beds were terribly uncomfortable and I asked to be moved to a different room. After trying out 6 different mattresses to find one that was not lumpy, I was told I would need to upgrade to a better room to get a good mattress so I checked those rooms as well and they had the same lumpy. cheap mattress. Walking around the hotel one could see that it was dirty, the carpets were awful and the bathrooms were dirty. The room I ended up in was overlooking the kitchen area and was apparently one of the newly refurbished rooms!
Good location for theatre and town. Plenty of parking
The size of the room and the view over the abbey.
No bottled water left in the rooms along with the tea and coffee. Not all people drink tea / coffee.
Location is perfect for the hills. Staff friendly & welcoming. Excellent value for money when visiting Malvern
Carpet/decor a little "tired" but did not detract from stay
The property was full of character and very clean. High on a hill, with some nice views through the window, and en-suite too. Also, very quiet which meant getting a good nights sleep. The service was great too, very friendly and helpful staff.
I cannot say anything negative about the Mount Pleasant Hotel. I will book again!

Staff very welcoming, Ashley and Marcus booked us in and ensured our whole stay was enjoyable. Cleaning ladies of the hotel definately impact the quality of hygiene and ensured room cleaning posed no inconvenience. Waiting staff in the mulberry restaurant were also professional and polite as well as attentive. We were upgraded in room choice, resulting in a wonderful view of the priory albeit at the top of the staired building. The cleanliness was excellent and in room facilities including, tea, coffee supplies along with biscuits were a really nice touch. Comfortable bed with good quality linens and room temperature and mattress very conducive to enable a great nights sleep. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful again with friendly helpful staff ensuring any requests were met. There is an adjacent car park for which a car parking electonic hub in reception and bar is available. The menus of the mulberry provided expertly cooked main and snack meals. The variety met with dietary needs. The quality and quantity of food was very good and cooked professionally, very tasty! Overall i would definatly stay here again as a 2 night stay was not enough. There is also a triple lauered seating stea outside to sit and have a drink. Wide selection of drinks at the bar. Oh and as you walk from the hotel car park, there is direct access to the malvern hills. Lastly there is a convenience store next door and the hotel is right on the main road for central shops, cafes, eateries and about a 20minutes walk from the malvern link railway station.
Parts of the decoration appeared tired and may benefit from painting. However the personnel/staff investment deflected any concerns, as their focus of client care was impressionable. If a small room fridge could be a considered in the future, this may be beneficial for guests.
Great location
Could do with changing stair carpet and room needs a bit of work
