Friendly, helpful staff Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Relaxed atmosphere
On a trading estate on outskirts of malvern so quite a walk into the town (But easy to get to by car)
Good location for our specific visit. Spa was lovely.
staff were excellent throughout, cheerful, polite, professional. Treatments were outstanding second time around. Restaurant service excellent, food good, high quality breakfast. Lovely spa facilities, very clean throughtout
Service room, bed not made tea etc not replaced. Carpet had long hairs in it.# and stuck to feet. Bath ran cold and had to be supplemented by boiling kettles. Bath plug kept popping out.
Excellent spa, exceptional food and great customer service, relaxing massage
Food was superb.
It is a spa rather than a hotel so no bar or lobby area that you'd find in a traditional hotel.
Location
Expensive if you don’t use the spa facilities. The kitchen was closed so no meals. No character
We had a lovely 4 night break in July during the hot weather. the pool was lovely but understandably busy and there aren't enough parasols to ensure that there was enough shade for everyone. The breakfasts were good - although I object to being asked to book a time for breakfast - this is supposed to be a relaxing stay. The restaurant food was good although the menu didn't change much. The staff were pleasant and helpful. As we had had to pay for all 4 nights before we arrived I was surprised to be asked to pay another deposit on arrival.
The spa facilities were really nice. The breakfast was lovely
Couple of the saunas were broken
The was great! Staff were brilliant!
Lovely swimming pool with good opening times for guests. Nice breakfast. Comfortable room with a/c.
Location on an industrial site was a bit of a surprise- surroundings were a supermarket and lorry park. Mandatory deposit for room on arrival also seemed unnecessary.
It's all about the spa. A great place to spend time. Not really a pool so much as a giant indoor/outdoor jacuzzi, which we intend to revisit in winter, along with the best saunas and steam room you'll find.
Simply not as "posh" a hotel as I'd expected but that may be my misinterpretation from the spa images. Location is a pain if you want to go out to eat. Basically a business park a couple of miles from anything. But just plan to stay there all the time 😏
Very nice staff
It didn’t look as good as the photos . Pretty dated .
The hotel very nice and staffs very friendly and good really good
Nothing at all
Lovely spa Fantastic room
Lack of bar facilities to enjoy a drink in the evening
Didn’t use the spa facilities but they looked great. Hotel was very comfortable and spacious. Our room was good and very quiet overnight and we could see Malvern hills from our window which was a bonus.
Clean hotel , friendly staff
The coffee
That I went solo and I felt so welcome and safe. Everyone was lovely.
Nothing I love coming here.
i love this place, the staff are great and the treatments are lovely, i like swimming outside. The food also is very good
The outside could do with dressing up, eg living plant wall, as its very industrial. Areas are starting to look very tired, however, i understand this is being addressed.
Had the most amazing full body massage by Katie D- highly recommend booking in with her
4 of us came for my parters 30th, we had the best night and are already sorting plans to come back soon
Everything
Nothing
All of it lovely staff
The breakfast
Nothing it was great
I didn't like it much at all.
I stayed there while visiting friends & thought a hotel with a pool would be nice. In fact I could have stayed at the Premier Inn at the back of this hotel and forgone the delights of the overpriced pool & steam/sauna suite with its collection of day pass members. I would say that it reminded me of a health club with rooms. The restaurant was poor and the chairs in the lounge area were uncomfortable and I cannot understand why a double room only has one chair in it - I guess you are not meant to spend any time in your room unless you are lounging on your bed. The rooms were basic and beds were also uncomfortable. The staff were on the whole focused on handling the constant stream of demanding day members rather than paying hotel guests although some staff such as those in the bar really did work hard when given a challenge well done to them.
Seems to if ticked all our boxes really enjoyed our stay.
The smell of marijuana in the corridor just before our room . Did disappear on the Sunday /Monday though.
Spa was lovely, staff was helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy, plenty of tea coffee, shampoo and conditioner.
Rooms are a little dated, could do with a bigger tv, and more plug sockets, and the hairdryers in the rooms need upgrading. Manager did tell me there was better hairdryers in the changing rooms which I did go down and use. Food at breakfast could do with covering up, a few customers mentioned flies around the ham and cheese. And there was always a queue for the toaster. Internet/signal was an issue for a few of us
The outdoor pool

spa was great, room great, breakfast great dinner menu had less choice than on other vists
Beautiful and peaceful
Fabulous retreat. Comfy rooms, relaxing and airy environment throughout and great spa & pool facilities
Absolutely nothing
Everything was perfect
Very quiet and relaxing. The staff were all very helpful. Comfortable bed.

The staff we encountered during our stay in both the hotel and spa were all so lovely and helpful. The spa and pool were decently sized and didn’t feel too busy at any point during our visit. Our room was spacious with tea & coffee facilities provided. Small issue during breakfast but this was rectified swiftly by staff so no complaints here!
Air conditioning didn’t go very low in our room so it was a little hot overnight even with the window open.
Everything. Easy parking and check in. Corridors smelt lovely leading up to my room. Room was super clean. Bedsheets looked brand new. Bed and pillows were so comfy. Breakfast was delicious. Pool area and gym super clean. Checking out so easy.
We visited The Malvern for an evening at the end of May to celebrate my birthday. My sister and I had a lovely time relaxing on loungers by the outdoor pool in the late sunshine and enjoying all the facilities. Elderflower gin cocktails went down a treat! A highlight was our experience in the bar area of the restaurant. As well as enjoying delicious food, we were delighted by the efficient and attentive service and good humour shown to us by the lovely Ollie. What a great member of staff he is, The Malvern are lucky to have him. We hope to visit again soon.
Clean with good staff.
Air conditioning in room didn't work. Toilet didn't work
excellent staff
cost per night
I have visited many times in the past and always loved it. Unfortunately, on each visit the service seems to decline and more facilities appear to be out of order. On this occasion, the salt room door was missing, one of the foot spas was broken, the indoor pool jets were not working, and only some of the outdoor jets were functioning. We were also given just one key card between five of us. The spa manager assured us that another would be programmed, but we never received it. There was only one poolside host on duty, a young girl who was rarely visible. On one occasion, we asked for drinks and she said she would return, but she never did. Guests were leaving towels on loungers while going for lunch, and the towels remained there untouched even after they returned an hour and a half later. I also personally raised a query with the spa manager. She told me she needed to check the pricing and would come back to me. She took both my phone number and email address, yet I am still waiting for a response over a week later. Overall, this was a very disappointing visit. It is sad to see standards slipping so noticeably, and if things continue to deteriorate in this way, we will unfortunately have to look elsewhere in future.
The outside spa is a treat but the inner part needs upgrading
The salt scrub and showers were not working and the web pictures must have been taken several years ago as there tiles needed replacing in several areas. The changing rooms are also away from the pool area so you have to walk along the corridor near reception to enter the spa area.
The spa. Bed so comfortable Food amazing
Slightly out of town
This hotel is just fabulous for adult depressing and relaxation. The vibe is peaceful pool is lovely and warm its so chilling. Staff are mostly helpful been here a few times and its evolved although treatment offers were not as good as previous. Food is aways of a high standard. We were not permitted to sit in the dining area in our gowns like we had for may years which completely spoilt it for us. You go there to chill and chilling for us is nit needing to get dressed for dinner then undressed again. Rooms are lovely although the shower on this occasion didnt run very warm
Myself & 3 friends had a day spa yesterday. Everything was lovely.....The Elemis facial was superb, the pool (inside & out), spa, food, drinks, staff were all good, perfectly good. However, the cost of it was expensive in comparison to similar other (high end) day spas I've visited. I think the Malvern Spa needs a better offering to keep up with some other similarly priced venues. It was also extremely crowded around the pool area & we couldn't find anywhere to sit. It was my 3rd visit & I will most probably visit again.
The staff was very friendly, and attentive. .
The Malvern was a spa with rooms rather than a hotel. Not suitable for the tourist or travel weary, . The restaurant was mediocre, overpriced, limited menu and bland food. The rooms were certainly not executive, short on storage space and surface area and lacked adequate power points. The location wax also disappointing, in a industrial estate. Our concern was the hospitality tray situatied in a cupboard, a fire hazard!
Staff very polite and helpful.
Bedroom too warm overnight. Air-conditioning noisy.
So clean and friendly
Nothing
Evening meals, quality and service were very good; breakfasts were good but items on buffet were not replenished regularly enough
For a supposedly executive room, the bed was average size and the room was not large with very little shelf space for clothing, felt we were ripped off and would have had a similar or better room at a budget hotel (Premier Inn) fo half the price.
Spa facilities excellent and staff really friendly and helpful especially within restaurant at breakfast. Rooms good size and in good condition.
Issue with shower throughout stay, could never get a hot shower even though basin tap hot! Final night the TV was stuck 'ON' and Remote would not respond. Had to go down to reception for assistance who could only help by telling me to reach over the top of the TV to find an 'ON/OFF' switch!
Location Comfortable bed
Bathroom was grubby-coffee on tiles, dust on floor, damp/mould on paint work & build up of hair/dirt on door hinges-not enough attention to detail paid to cleaning as you would expect for price of room Unable to use spa facilities as communication from staff about this was confusing -one sent us to the spa, spa staff directed us to the website which showed no availability, then no spa staff present to book with, information about opening times unclear
Close to everything, restaurant was great
Tea and coffee in room so old fashioned Instant Coffee was very stale
Staff were so kind and helpful
Nothing

Nothing
The Malvern was beautiful and felt relaxing as soon as you walked in the door, it was clean and elegant. The rooms were a good size and all the staff were super friendly and very helpful!
There was only a couple of things I think would have made the stay better…there were no sockets by the beds to plug in devices and phones. Also, myself and friend found the beds very uncomfortable, when you suffer with back/hip problems the beds were far to hard, used to having memory foam at home that helps with this. Think older customers would find the same
So relaxing, staff are so friendly
Spa whole aay. Top notch facial with the bonus of a head massage from Natalia, nice ambiance. ALL team members friendly and attentive to my every need. Tasty salmon eggs benedict for lunch, decent coffee. Value wise OK as had 45 min treatment, £15 for lunch and £10 off Elemis. Pool was a little cooler than usual, as there was a fault. Poolside inside very busy from 3pm, cool cloudier day. I'd always choose the a.m. if going for half a day.
Pool is lovely. Very warm. Room was quiet. Breakfast was good.
Position of hotel on an industrial estate. This isn't clear on the description. Also if you are not there for a spa day there is no comfortable lounge bar to get a drink during the day. We had to wait for our room in the 'grand lounge' where we were the only people dressed in outdoor clothes. Everyone else was in robes and flip flops. My husband felt a bit uncomfortable. We could see people having pedicures and foot massages. Don't think it's clear in the description that this is a 'spa' hotel and not really for people to stay just for a visit to Malvern ( we were going to a show). The availability of plug sockets in the room was dire. There was a double plug behind one bedside cabinet but the phone and lamp were plugged in there ( had to pull the phone out). The other side had one single socket which was unusable as it was for a round prong plug. Definitely room for improvement.
Always amazing hospitality
Clean and friendly
It was two years since we were here and we noted some improvements in the facilities around the pool and spa areas. It’s clear the hotel has invested in the property. The bedroom we had was refurbished and was tasteful in decor. Everything worked ! However still only small tv on the wall shame it wasn’t upgraded to a larger flat screen ….
Since our last stay the menu got changed in the restaurant. Personally we felt the food choice somewhat strange not haute cuisine and not pub style somewhere in the middle and not quite there Felt quality not there and was disappointed. Quite pricey too.
Had to cancel lift not operational
Lift not werking
Spa, room and breakfast good, staff very pleasant.
Location, not what we expected, an industrial estate. This should be reflected within the hotel details so that the booker is fully informed.
The spa was incredible. Especially as it is heated. The food was lovely, lots of choice for lunch and dinner: the room was spacious and bed was really comfy. Staff were friendly.
Even though there was a window. The room was quite hot. Some staff were a little unprofessional as I could hear their conversations. (Coffee bar)
Easy to park
No proper lounge to have a drink if you are not using the spa
Everything
NA
Was an amazing stay despite the weather! Spa was great and the food and drink was also of great quality. Not too far from the Malvern Hills and only a 5 minute walk or a one minute drive from a retail park, situated really well!
Nothing, the stay was great even despite the weather!
The Staff were brilliant The food was amazing The facilaties Excellent The Treatment , firm upper body massage was Perfect .
Parking and no Garden
Mixed experience for us Pros - Very pleasant pool and inside and outdoors, the water was very warm and the staff were attentive. Massage was very good if expensive. Breakfast was good, didn't try the dinner as there seemed better value in the town. The gym looked comprehensive but we didn't try it. Cons - The Spa flatters to deceive, it was quite crowded at times and there were no hot tub /Jacuzzis although there were areas in the external pool where there were jets. Its didn't consist of much else, treatment areas , and a chill room ( a dark area with beds !) . The foot spa was a joke ( 3 wash hand basins on the ground ). The steam rooms and saunas were far too hot and unpleasant. The Spa and hotel is basically in a retail park with a Premier Inn at the back and a Lidl at the front, so don't expect scenic olde world charm. The rooms are OK but didn't have enough plugs near the beds. Some areas of the spa are starting to age and show wear. What was bad IMO was that the lift had been out of action for a month and the notices said it would be OOO for 9 weeks which is quite unprecedented in my experience, meaning that people with walking difficulties ( not us ) were struggling with two flights of stairs. We had the experience as a present , but for the high average rate this was pretty poor value and we would not go back.
Really relaxing and comfortable two night stay at Malvern spa hotel. We chose to eat at the restaurant both evenings enjoying the variety of the menu and friendly staff. The restaurant host Ollie stood out with his energy and enthusiasm towards ensuring we were happy. Also a special mention to Sarah the spa host who worked very hard with nothing too much trouble!
The bar
Clean room and communal areas. Loved the pool and the pod. The Spa was very clean.
Some parts looked a bit old.
The whole space & spa was stunning, spacious & generally beautiful. The staff were absolutely amazing & could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
There wasn’t anything aside from when we went for late night walks, requires a night staff to allow us entry again so felt maybe a key card to gain access would be better however this is minor as we loved our stay so much.
friendliness of the staff
Evening meal
TV in room doesn’t work No hot water Lift broken Generally feels like Fawlty towers 1980!!!
See above
Beautiful location, decor and styling are wonderful. Very clean, tidy with a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and attentive. Fabulous food served at the restaurant and priced well. Wonderful spa facilities, four clean and tidy sauna/steam rooms to choose from and a stunning indoor/outdoor pool, especially in the evening.
Unfortunately it wasn’t the staff, food or facilities that slightly let down our stay but some of the other guests! Very entitled, miserable and just downright rude especially to the staff.
Again a brilliant place to stay, can’t fault anything really, slight issue with the air con in our room , was sorted while we where out, excellent
Nothing
Love the Malvern
Staff were amazing smiling helpful
Lift was still broken and that's was six months ago we last visited BUT our large case was carried all the way up for us - thank you
