Clean. I had asked for twin beds and they had to rearrange bed to make it into twin beds so no problem, they rectified situation right away.

Hotel is in a good location, with plenty of food options around it. It was clean and modern, with all the amenities you would need.

You can hear everything going on above (if you’re ground floor) and around you which, if people are arriving late / running a 5k above you (as in our case) then it can be difficult to get a good nights sleep.

Chambre fonctionnelle, globalement propre et confortable. Un très grand parking devant et énormément de restaurants à proximité.

Quelques éléments abîmés comme beaucoup de marques sur les murs, une des lampes de la salle de bain qui ne fonctionnait pas ou encore des rideaux de fenêtre déchirés.

Przyjazny personel. Pomimo mojego spóźnienia przy meldunku oczekiwali na nasz przyjazd. Świetna lokalizacja przy autostradzie umożliwia dojazd w różne zakątki Szkocji. Duża ilość miejsc parkingowych i restauracji.

The room was fine

The food, again like last year, shortages from menu, told by staff you had run out of various items that was on menu. Had a carvery on first night and you could have soled your boots with the roast beef. Was told it would get refunded but never got refund. Second night we went elsewhere for food, wont be returning to Sweet Chestnut for food.

Clean comfortable room with helpful friendly staff. When the air con in our original room failed the manager on duty ensured we were moved to another room with working air con as it was a very hot night. The food in adjacent restaurant is good. We have stayed before and will stay again

Fab location to keep family entertained

Saw a rat outside as rubbish (not from hotel) kept falling out the bins. Inside was lovely though.

We liked the location and the clean bedroom & bathroom. I liked the complimentary hand wash and shower gel/shampoo. The bedding was clean and we liked the tea & coffee making facilities. We liked that there was a few food options nearby.

Quite disappointed that there’s no hot breakfasts and very little continental breakfast selection out when we went for breakfast. We did go for breakfast at 10.30am so it was later than most people I think but surely the last guests should have the same selection as the first? We didn’t like the smell of mould in the bathroom however the room itself was very clean. We have previously stayed here in the past but currently it feels like it needs some TLC.

No breakfast could be offered, even though paid, and I did not get a refund as promised. When asking by mail I got the response to call the hotel..

Location.

Restaurant offered continental breakfast only. Cooked breakfast not available. No Turkey on Carvery on our first night. Roast beef tough. Manager offered to refund part of meal cost but then disappeared. Fan in room bathroom ran all night both nights of our stay. Reported this to reception when we left. On arrival only one keycard provided and original did not work. Had to return to reception in another building for a new key. Several other newly arrived guests had to to likewise. We will not be back. Hotel desperately needs redecorating/refurbishment.

Quiet place outside the city. 40 min by train to Edimburg. Pub with nice food.

Breakfast was not what we paid for. On the check in they said they had a problem with the kitchen and couldn't provide what's usual so they were going to serve continental breakfast instead. But no boiled eggs, cheese or salami, no iogurt. Only milk and hidrates.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily come back.

Not much. You get what you pay for.

Our room hadn’t been properly cleaned, and icky rug stains, you pay for food when you order, and then it’s not available (no refund), trash on the grounds, for “included breakfast” no eggs, no fruit, no yogurt. Most of the help is busy having coffee and the guests are an inconvenience. I attribute it all to poor management.

Oggettivamente, pur considerando che si tratta di un motel, la struttura offre servizi sotto al par. Al posto di un letto matrimoniale ci hanno dato due singoli, non agganciati, con ruote non fissate. La doccia non era pulita.

Desayuno espectacular. A la carta. A media hora de Edimburgo en tren. Ubicado en una zona de cines de ocio con infinidad de plazas de aparcamiento delante

Levendige lounge/ pub waar je kan poolen/ darten. A la carte ontbijt en veel parkeerplekken voor de deur. Ook prima bedden.

Personeel achter de bar kan wat vriendelijker en leek ze moeite te kosten om je te helpen.

Tot estava correcte. El lloc, a les afores d'Edimburg, és com un centre comercial a l'aire lliure amb molt de lloc per aparcar.

Una mica just per 4 persones, el llit supletori un xic incòmode però en general bé.

Drei Betten waren sehr gemütlich, das 4. war jedoch nur ein Zustellbett und sehr hart und unbequem. Das Personal war freundlich.

Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer für 4 Personen. 3 Betten waren sehr bequem. Die Gestaltung des Zimmers und des Bades waren ansprechend.

Das 4. Bett war nur ein Zustellbett. Es war sehr hart und man hat die Metallfedern in der Matratze gemerkt.

It was very comfortable and clean

La habitación era tal como esperábamos: cómoda, limpia y con aire acondicionado, lo que hizo que la estancia fuera agradable.

Nos resultó un poco extraño que el check-in se realizara en un restaurante, ya que daba la sensación de estar interrumpiendo el servicio. Además, no vimos una recepción o un punto de atención claro al que recurrir en caso de necesitar ayuda durante la estancia. Por otro lado, la ducha tenía muy poca presión de agua, por lo que bañarse no resultaba del todo cómodo.

The room was a handicapped room which we did not ask for, nor need. The bed was 2 twin beds put together and very uncomfortable. We did not rest well at all. The Sweet Chestnut restaurant was not good.

Wir trafen saubere Räume an, mit bequemen Betten und einem schönen Badezimmer. Hinter der Unterkunft gab es einen tollen Platz, auf dem wir gleich nach Ankunft ein ausgiebiges, mitgebrachtes Abendessen einnehmen konnten. Selbstverständlich haben wir es uns am zweiten Abend im hoteleigenen Restaurant gutgehen lassen. Die Nähe zur Bushaltestelle mit Anbindung in die Innenstadt von Edinburgh war ideal.

Das Familienzimmer war für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder (13 und 7) etwas klein. Eine Klimaanlage wäre wünschenswert gewesen.

Poor breakfast, the did not have coffee, did not restock the juices and did not offer discount to our breakfast fare. The bathtub was clogged and the bathroom poorly cleaned.

Die Lage ist perfekt, wenn man Edinburgh und Umgebung erkunden möchte. Der Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür ausreichend Plätze sind vorhanden. Es gibt einige Möglichkeiten zur Unterhaltung und Restaurants.

Es war unser 2.Aufenthalt und kein Vergleich zum 1.mal,sonst hätten wir dieses Hotel nicht nochmal gebucht. Wir haben 3 Zimmer gebucht und nur in einem wurde wirklich geputzt und Handtücher und Toilettenpapier nachgelegt,trotz Bitte das geputzt werden soll,kam niemand auf die Idee mal vorbeizuschauen. In einem Zimmer ging die Fernbedienung vom TV nicht . Das Personal war überwiegend sehr freundlich und stets hilfsbereit unser Anliegen sofort zu beheben. Es gab aber ein bis zwei sehr unaufmerksame und ignorante Damen beim Frühstück, entweder wurde ewig keine Bestellung aufgenommen oder es wurde selten sofort das Büffet nachgefüllt. Das Geschirr war wenn vorhanden sehr dreckig und das ist nicht nur uns aufgefallen. Die Tische wurden nicht sofort aufgeräumt, obwohl die Gästeanzahl überschaubar war,ich habe mich gefragt was so stressig die ganze Zeit war um so unaufmerksam zu sein.Wir werden dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen, da es eine herbe Enttäuschung war, da konnte auch nicht der sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter darüber hinweghelfen.

The large double bed was actually 2 single beds already made up and pushed together. Not comfy!

Wir waren für 2 Nächte hier, um Edinburgh zu erkunden. Dafür war es perfekt. Liegt ruhig. Wir sind ca. 6min zur Queen Margret Station gefahren und dann mit dem Zug ca.25min nach Edinburgh. Sehr gutes Frühstück.

Das Frühstück ist für mich nicht gut gewesen. Nichts frisches und nur Nescafé, das geht für den Preis gar nicht.

The pub had yummy food, staff was mostly friendly and ready to help when needed. There's a bus stop close by. Plenty of other restaurants as well.

The room needed repairs. There was a hole in the wall. Most of the outlets didn't work. Our key card needed to be re-coded many times. Continental breakfast was not included. Though some staff members seemed to let it slide. House keeping didn't make the room every day. We tried to get them to change our bedding twice before they finally did.

We arrived in the evening after a long drive from down South England. Receptionists was friendly and efficient, we had issue with aircon in our room! She came couldn’t fix and immediately changed our room to our satisfaction ❤️ Morning breakfast ~ one woman to deal with orders from drop ins and hotel guests ~ she was very stressed 🤐but again efficient friendly. Very restful sleep with good breakfast ✅

We own a couple of businesses and very rarely get a night away or a long lie. So a night away is heaven or should have been ... except... our room was on ground floor and right outside staff carpark. We were rudely awoken at around 6.30 with a staff member parking his loud car...!!! White fiesta !.... over revving his car whilst reversing!!! Have some respect to customers 😡😡

Unfortunately, the sink in the bathroom was blocked and was unable to drain so we had to wash hands, brush teeth etc.. in the bath. Staff tried very hard to help and gave us free breakfast as a result.

Well the room wasnt good firstly the bedding needed changed as we found hairs on bed and under duvet. Plus toilet floor was very fragile had a gash on floor.

Checking in at the pub when there is a desk that could be used at the accommodation block. No on-site parking but an open public car park opposite the accommodation. The food in the restaurant was pretty poor but this was dealt with by staff before we left.

the room was only cleaned once, the food was poor and service was very slow, it felt like the food had been ready a long time and kept under a hot light to dry it up before being served, nobody enquired if the food was ok all in all disapointing.

The position of the Hotel was excellent able to get where we wanted effortless. A god menu.

The room had nail clippings on the floor and had a strong urine smell in the bathroom , there was no Wi fi the first morning but was also slow throughout our stay. The breakfast was OK but you had to order a cooked breakfast and was very slow the first morning which is hopeless when you have a bus to catch the second morning there was a much nicer person on duty and the breakfast came quicker but had very salty bacon.. The evening meal carvery was run out of ham so only had beef at 7 pm.

It’s in an excellent location on the edge of the leisure park with lots of restaurants and entertainment nearby.

There was black mould around the bath, the shower curtain needed replaced and one of the coffee mugs was dirty.

Op de kaart stonden veel mogelijkheden tot ontbijt. Echter te vaak waren er geen eieren. Yoghurt. Op speciaal verzoek ivm ziekte kreeg ik een half bakje yoghurt.

The room AC wasn't working and the UK undergoing the heat wave it was unbearable to sleep.. we made a complaint too but want heard or actioned.. we rather fot exhausted due to very disturbed sleep. Additionally, the room wasn't clean enough and was with dust and stinky..
