Humidity in the room and all of the furniture felt sticky. The corridor is tired and needs a refresh with new flooring, as does the former lounge area and entryway. The road into the property is very rutted with potholes.

Easy to locate initially, drove down a lane, met by the pleasant owner who checked me in & showed me my single room. I was asked if I woukd like to add breakfast as I was room only. Room was obviously on the small side but suited my needs for a one night stay near the city centre. Slept well throughout the night, not a sound. Breakfast was hot & freshly cooked 🍳 to order. Easy check out. Can recommend this hotel in the city. Shall certainly stay again if attending Nearby Knockhill circuit.

Only the drive to the b n b which had quite a few potholes but we knew this when we booked. I can understand why it hasn't been done as it would be very expensive as long as you drive carefully it's fine

TOP-ontbijt. De host is uitermate vriendelijk en vraagt je hoe laat je wilt ontbijten, en wat je wilt. Vervolgens wordt het persoonlijk voor je gemaakt: scrambled eggs, of gewoon. Gebakken champignons, tomaten, worstjes

Niet erg aan te rekenen, maar: - de ingangsweg is smal, lijkt eerder een fietspad. Ik reed het eerst voorbij. Dan de toegangsweg, .. is vol kuilen, en hobbels (door boomwortels?), matig verlicht in het donker.

Close to airport, lovely quiet area, room clean, shower good, hairdryer on request, TV tiny, overall great for our stay.

Chap at reception (owner), very polite and checked in very quickly. The room itself was clean and ample room for a single. I didn't utilise the facilities so can't comment on them.

The constant noise. First off it was the creaking bed, turns out it wasn't just mine. I could hear everything and everyone. From the extremely loud guests walking back and forth along the creaky hallway late on in the evening, to the constant raised voices and slamming of doors. The road leading down to the hotel really needs to be looked at and pot holes filled in.

Auld Mill House ist ein nettes kleines Hotel. Die Betten waren schön groß und bequem, die Zimmer ruhig. Das Zimmer war sauber und gepflegt. Es gab gutes kontinentales und warmes englisches Frühstück. Bei den warmen Speisen konnte man vorher auswählen, was man essen möchte. Zur Info: bis Dunfermline Zentrum (mit vielen Pubs und Restaurants) sind es ca. 3 km. Eine Bahnstation mit 2 Zügen pro Stunde nach Edinburgh ist nur 7 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt.

Die Zufahrt ist schwer zu finden (schmal wie eine Hauseinfahrt gegenüber vom Autohaus Arnold Clark) und recht holperig - sehr langsam fahren.

Wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend, super freundlich empfangen. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war super lecker, alles wurde frisch zubereitet.

Alojamiento muy correcto, a 5 minutos caminando de la estación de tren que te deja en unos 45 minutos en el centro de Edimburgo y a 5 minutos en coche de una zona comercial de restauración. Se puede llegar fácilmente en coche desde el aeropuerto, opción de desayuno por 10£ hecho al momento. El señor que nos atendió y nos hizo el desayuno fue muy amable, nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos. Íbamos con nuestro bebé y nos puso la cuna en la habitación así que ninguna queja.

Por decir algo, las instalaciones en general están algo antiguas y descuidadas, pero no es una queja para nada ya que no fue impedimento y estaba todo limpio.

Room was adequate. King bed with clean linen. The breakfast room was ok and the breakfast was generous. Close to train station for access into Edinburgh.

The common corridor was very worn. The walls were very thin and noise was an issue. The driveway is very rough The whole place needs some tlc.

The room contained not just USB charge slots, but even 1 electrical socket of the international standard, which is not ordinary for UK. Breakfast was tasty.

L'accoglienza è stata ottima. In una posizione molto tranquilla ma vicinissimo alla stazione dei treni che in circa 30 minuti ti porta ad Edimburgo. La colazione, pagata a parte, era molto buona ed abbondante.

L'unica pecca, la mancanza fi un asciugacapelli.

Good friendly reception upon arrival, everything was explained about the rooms etc. Checking and out was easy.

The only fault I good find is the drive way leading to the hotel as it has quite alot of pot holes and is very uneven, but just drive very slowly and carefully over them.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was a great size, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to enjoy, and they also make a brilliant cup of tea! Everything made for a really comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Hard pillows - sorry! A bedside rug would have made the room a bit cosier. Difficult to direct shower where needed.

De toegangsweg moet absoluut vernieuwd worden die is bijna onbegaanbaar. Verder zijn de kamers functioneel maar niet gezellig.

Die Zufahrt war schwer zu finden und mit vielen Schlaglöchern durchzogen.Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen,was auf den Fotos nicht zu sehen ist.Es wurde auf einfachste Weise renoviert,hat eine sehr nüchterne Ausstrahlung ohne Behaglichkeit.Ein paar Bilder würden dem Raum gut tun.Außerdem hört man jeden Schritt,Gespräch und Toilettengang der Nachbarn ringsherum. Beim Frühstücksangebot ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Um am nächsten Tag schnell zum Flughafen Edinburgh zu kommen okay,sonst nicht zu empfehlen.Am Abend fanden wir leider auch nichts in der Stadt wo wir uns gerne aufhalten wollten. Es hatte bereits ab 17.00 Uhr das meiste geschlossen.

Lovely secluded hotel away from any traffic noise. A 10 minute walk to the unmanned Railway station with regular trains ticket machine on Platform 2. The breakfast is optional at £10 and was good quality and we thought worth it. The bedding and towels were lovely as was the large double bed. Plenty of parking space.

The only issue really was the very small TV in the room.

The entrance to the hotel property was hard to find from the main road. The room was quite dark (out to the back).

Set back from the main road, it was a nice building in a quiet area. 35 Min walk to the centre of town. 5 mins to nearest restaurant.

Unfortunately in the morning, we had to speak to the owner. Told him that there were a number of issues with the room. His response was to deny there were any problems, even before he had gone to check. The mattress felt old, collapsed and I could feel the springs. This was apparently impossible as it was commercial and other people loved it. The bedside tables were sticky. That was just the furniture polish and the room was clean. There were large sticky head marks on the headboard. I asked him to come to the room and see them. I was told that the marks were from hair product from previous occupants. He insisted that the headboard had been cleaned, despite the grim sticky patches still being there.

The property was in a great location for what we wanted (visiting family). Just off a main road but very quiet setting.

Floors in bedrooms and hall were very “squeaky” so woke you up when someone walked down hallway. Breakfast was good value and tasty but expected black pudding when in Scotland.

Nice modern room with ample parking - much better than the Premier Inns or Travelodges nearby . We picked this to stay in before an early morning flight so the location close to the road to Edinburgh and ability to check out early was great.

wir waren nur für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise. Uns hat das allgemein gut gepflegte Haus und das saubere Zimmer gut gefallen. Das angebotene Frühstück für 10 Pfund war gut und kann ich nur empfehlen.

die Einfahrt ist etwas schwierig zu finden und hat eine enge Einfahrt. Der Weg zur Unterkunft könnte etwas besser in Schuss sein.

The room was a reasonable size and clean. It was very simply furnished. as there are only 8 rooms, it made perfect sense for the breakfast to be cooked to order, rather than a buffet. The bed seemed bigger than a king

Ideal location as it was close to the centre of Dunfermline with Asda supermarket and a good pub which served food nearby. The rooms have been recently renovated and done to excellent standard. As it was tucked away there was seclusion and quiet which made for a peaceful night. Brent the hotel owner was fantastic and cooked up a great breakfast in the morning.

The hotel looks a bit tired on the outside but the owner is aware of this and has a maintenance plan to upkeep the renovation.

This little family-run hotel was perfect for our small group of friends - comfortable accommodations in a charming old building, delicious breakfast, and Brent, our host, was engaging and helpful. We hope to return for a longer stay!

My niece had washed her hair before bed & no hairdryer in the room (removed as people have been taking them with them, which is fair enough but as customer if they need one on checking in).

Superb breakfast. Room was clean, although small. Host was friendly and accomodating.
