Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The hotel is in a great location, making it convenient for getting around. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. The gym and pool facilities were also very good and a nice added benefit.
There was a slight issue with the room when we first arrived, but the staff handled it quickly and professionally, which was really appreciated.
Rooms are very nice, so is the lobby and the restaurants. Staff is very nice. Location is fantastic as starting point to visit all Toronto.
Swimming pool is too old and is falling apart. Sauna and dressing room are not aligned to the rest of the building (renovation needed). Not possible to have fresh air from outside in the room due to non-opening windows. Acoustic insulation in the room entrance door is absolutely insufficient: noise from other guests can be heard at every hours of the day and the night. Waiting for the elevators sometimes takes wait too long (several minutes). Complementary water has always to be asked at the reception: having it directly in the in-room fridge would be more comfortable.
Location
I paid at check in . Then during the night they updated the payment on my Revolut charging me 102 dollars extra. I complained the next morning and was told they would refund me . 7 days later and I am still waiting and they just keep saying it's processed . Very poor
Loalização, limpeza, conforto
atendimento das pessoas e restaurante
Location is good. Staff is friendly
No amenities at all, not Hilton standard that i know in other countries
The staff was very kind. Breakfast was great rooms were clean
Booking lied. Kids aren't free under 17, its 12. Charge double upon arrival. $350 deposit, not mentioned on booking. Reservation never registered with the hotel. And price wasn't accurate. It was $380 for the nught as advertised on booking. Its was $700 for a night. Definitely a hassle to checking and again false advertising on booking. Wont be back.
The room provided at the front desk was different from the one I had booked. After switching rooms, they didn't even check me in properly. Then, after entering my new room, a staff member could open it with a key from another room—this made me feel completely unsafe. The front desk management was chaotic and the overall experience was terrible.
Located perfectly to everything. Restaurants, Roger Centre etc.. pool area, clean and comfortable
Nothing
They were friendly seemed clean it was close to where we were going
They didn’t have the room we paid for available and had to give us two queens instead meaning my husband ended up having to sleep on the floor and my toddler got hurt jumping off of one bed and slamming her head on the footboard of another. And the maid woke us by knocking repeatedly at 8 am to see if we were there and she could clean. Which while efficient was rather annoying.
The room was very quiet, no noise from other rooms; excellent.
They were working on the elevators during our stay. So, sometimes we waited for an elevator. There were signs stating that work was being done to the elevators.
The bathroom door of my room was not closing but the view was great! And room was spacious
Beautiful, location, facilities, staff
Between our room, dinner, breakfast, and price to park the car, we spent $1000 for one night. It’s too much.
Pool and room
It was recently renovated, nice and spacious room, nice view, staff was friendly and helpful!
One of the towels was dirty (had some red/pink spots on it) and during the night I could hear loud noises from doors banging, which woke me up a few times.
Easy to get to, very clean, the pool was great
I appreciated the staff's positive attitude and the cleanliness.
We paid for wifi and only had access for the fist time we used it for 10 minutes after that, the wifi connection didn't work with none of our electronics for the rest of our stay. Hotel room is way too cold, wifi connection not stable and no 24h room service... Not worth the 700$ amount for one night.
The location of the property, the staff and amenities were great!
It's close to the Rogers center.
Our kids both have allergies and they couldn't offer us a pet free room, instead they offered us a "deep cleaned room". The shower had grime and first build up, rice was on the ottoman at the foot of the bed and an alarm went off our first night and it scared our kids. It was loud and if it wasn't an emergency where we had to evacuate, I don't understand why it couldn't have been turned off. It's great that the hotel allows pets but I feel like they should designate some rooms where pets are not able to stay in. Our kids were sneezing and required allergy medicine, my son's asthma was acting up.
The location was great, lovely pool and great overall vibe
L’emplacement
Toronto is an amazing city! The location is good and the rooms are spacious. We booked a suite and a regular room. Suite is comfortable with a large sofa and 2 chairs. Beds are large and comfortable. However, rooms can use a renovation. There is a pool which is nice when you travel with kids or just want to relax after a warm day.
We requested for a connecting room or 2 rooms near to each other or at least on the same floor. Even though we booked months in advance, we were allocated 1 room on the 8th floor near the elevator and 1 room on the 15th floor all the way at the end of the hallway. Carpeted rooms so I would have expected slippers. No lock on bathroom door! And rooms could be cleaned better as there were still hairs from the previous guest in the shower and dust on the furniture.
Excellent but expensive breakfast.
The price was high.
RAS
Place is modern and kept well. Amenities could be updated but overall really enjoyed the overall stay
Well located Hotel in the Downtown, easy walking distance to restuarants, bars and public transport to venture further afield. Staff were excellent and accomodating. The refurbished bar and restaurant are excellent. The Rooftop pool offers a great view and nice relaxing end to the day. Well equipped and clean gym.
The Suites are not really suites at all, they are just normal hotel rooms with a double bed, a desk and a bathroom that are slighly larger than the conventional rooms.
Localización céntrica. Tiene dos ascensores panorámicos. Personal amable Aparcacoches.
Location and staff were good
The phone in the bedroom didnt work and I let the front desk know and they didnt seem to care about it and never fixed it.
Stayed at the Hilton Downtown Toronto during a vacation to Canada. The hotel is centrally located and in walking distance of everything downtown. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the bellhop and warmly greeted by the desk agent. After being awake since 3am CST we appreciated the early check in at 1pm. The room was nice and clean, hotel areas nice and clean. Everyone professional and friendly.
Close to everything downtown. Super helpful staff and nice and cozy rooms.
Difficult to find food if you arrive late
Loved the pool. Amazing views from the pool. Delicious breakfast.
Parking available later than 7 am.
Very happy overall. Nice place, nice location staffs are great
Excellent location, rooms, overall ambience! Breakfast was also good with chefs accommodating requests as far as they could!
Nothing in particular
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The front desk staff were welcoming, and the location was perfect for our visit. Our only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. Considering the price, we found it very limited compared to other hotels. The food selection was quite small. The service in the restaurant also fell short of our expectations. We had to ask for water three separate times and even had to look for our server, as we were repeatedly forgotten. To make matters worse, our bill was brought to us while we were still eating, which gave us the impression that they wanted us to leave rather than continue enjoying our meal. Despite this experience at the restaurant, we truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. We hope to see improvements to the breakfast buffet and service, as everything else exceeded our expectations.
We booked a room with 2 queen beds using Hilton points and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a spacious room overlooking the CN Tower. Check-in was quick, though there was an odd moment — we were welcomed as Diamond members (which normally includes lounge access), even though our actual status is Gold (we were Diamond last year). This same mix-up happened at several other Hilton properties during our trip, so it seems like a broader system glitch rather than something specific to this hotel. Aside from that, the front desk staff were efficient and friendly. The room itself was comfortable and clean — two good-sized queen beds and a standard bathroom — nothing fancy, but the space and the view more than made up for it. Breakfast is served buffet-style. Continental breakfast is complimentary for Gold members and above, with a $10 fee if you want the hot options. The selection was good, and they also do made-to-order omelets and other egg dishes, which was a nice touch. A fun bonus: the hotel has connected indoor and outdoor pools, so you can swim between the two — great if you're traveling with family. The location is fantastic — just a short walk to the CN Tower, Rogers Centre (Blue Jays stadium), and plenty of other downtown attractions. Overall: A comfortable stay in an unbeatable location, with a spacious room, great view, and solid breakfast. The status mix-up was more amusing than annoying, and everything else about the stay was smooth.
The rooms were very comfortable, clean, and spacious. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore the city on foot. Overall, it was a very pleasant place to stay.
The elevators were quite slow, especially at check-out time. We waited around 15 minutes for one with our luggage. Also, payment could only be made with a credit card, as debit cards were not accepted, which was inconvenient.
Rien
Hotel seems okay overall. Two things - elevators not working properly. Out of 6 elevators, only one works and it stops on every floor going down. It literally can take you 15 minutes or more to go down. Unacceptable. Also, and this isn't about this hotel but about the brand, I am a Diamond member and should get many benefits as such for being loyal. I booked the hotel stay through American Express and since not booked through Hilton, they won't honor my Diamond benefits. If they aren't going to be loyal to me, then I won't choose them next time, no matter who I book through.
We stayed at the Hilton for one night on a vacation in Toronto. We have stayed there before. The hotel has a great location, in easy walking distance to major attractions and close to public transportation. It is also conveniently connected to the PATH. The room was up to date and very nice. The front desk staff was very nice and we appreciated that they were able to let us check in early.
Loved how central it was. Everything we wanted to see was within a 10 minute walk.
The Staff was extremely kind and aware if we needed assistance with anything. The bartenders were also super nice
Nothing
Everything is just a short walk away. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Water bottles are available at the hotel.
Nothing
Great location in downtown Toronto. Overpriced and no HHonors Gold upgrade although we got two renovated room. Courtesy HHonors Gold breakfast was downgraded to continental breakfast mid-stay. Staff is OK but not stellar. Rooms are clean, large and well appointed.
We recently stayed for the weekend at the Hilton Toronto Downtown while my wife was in the city for hip replacement surgery, and we couldn’t have been more impressed with our experience. From the moment we arrived on Friday evening, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you to Carlos Sanchez at the front desk for his warm, professional check-in. Knowing why we were visiting, the team went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible, even treating us to a complimentary breakfast at the Bistro Restaurant, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The accommodations were exactly what we expected—comfortable, clean, and perfect for what we needed during a stressful weekend. The hotel’s downtown location is outstanding, with easy parking nearby and convenient access to everything in the area. Every member of the staff we encountered, from the doormen and front desk team to the restaurant and bar staff, was friendly, courteous, and eager to help. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. There was a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options, an excellent omelet station, and everything you could want from a premium hotel breakfast. As a football fan, I also appreciated that the FIFA matches were playing on the large screen in the lobby, which added to the atmosphere during our stay. I also want to recognize the bartender working on the afternoon of Saturday, July 12. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was outstanding. Despite being the only bartender serving a busy crowd, she never stopped smiling. She provided friendly conversation, quick service, and made one of the best margaritas I’ve had. Her professionalism and positive attitude made an already good day even better. We highly recommend the Hilton Toronto Downtown to anyone visiting the city. Thanks to the exceptional hospitality we received, we’ve already decided that when my wife returns for her next hip surgery, this will absolutely be where we stay.
Great location. Parking is a little high. Plus it’s valet. Restaurant isn’t the best but the rooms and hotel are great.
Very clean
Nothing
Pricey, but for central Toronto standards worth it. Excellent pool, inside and outside part. Varied breakfast. Nice bar. Friendly housekeeping, the coffee-tea maker in the room is not good for tea hence they lent us a kettle. Large room, good wifi and bathroom. One minus, too small to cost them a star: no guest laundry (only expensive 24h service). A shame, all other large chains in Canada that we visited has this facility.
ALLES
The bed was too old and saggy
We were so pleased with this Hilton Hotel in downtown Toronto. The reception area is fabulous and the decor for the World Cup made it even more special. We had a family room with a great view of the CN tower. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location - would definitely stay here again. Only slight negative is the sofa beds are not the most comfy.
Very good. Good selection. Loved the overnight oats
The pullout bed wasn't the best. Not very comfortable
I spent a night and thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will stay at the Toronto Hilton again! Walid Osman was my first interaction at the Front Desk and he was so pleasant and professional. I also dealt with Maya Vonrus on the phone a few times and again pleasant and professional. However 5 stars to Jacob Eapen who not only helped me with my bags but made sure to patiently help me with the TV and WiFi so I could use YouTube during my stay! And he responded to calls for assistance several times and took such good care of me! He is a fine young man who I can see going far in any profession he chooses. He is an asset to the hotel and made my stay really enjoyable. In today's world it's nice to come into contact with a young person with his degree of professionalism and able to communicate in a friendly and articulate manner. Although all the staff were warm and the room really nice, his level of service is the major reason I will definitely be staying again in the future and will recommend the hotel to others. This is the first review I've ever felt moved to give! Thank you for a great experience!
Avery Good place to stay
Super service. Propre. Confortable.
Location is fantastic. Room was great when they fixed the air conditioning.
location. Size of room. Bed -v comfortable. Bathroom. Large windows and the view.
it's all good.
After relocating to the Hilton after a terrible experience elsewhere I could not have been more happy with the hospitality of the Hilton.
The streets outside are a bit loud
Fabulous rooms, food, pool temp, service
Bath robes for pool for adults but not kids.
Rien service nulle
hotel bien ubicado, instalaciones limpia, cama confortable
Hotel lobby is nice, room decor looked newer, carpet was a bit old and dingy. The worst part was I woke up to. Bed bug crawling on my bed. I have bites all over my wrist. I took pictures of the bites and of the bug and the manager just said they would investigate it and call me. Completely unacceptable, I am so disappointed and worried these will transfer to my home.
only downside was that the rooms felt a bit outdated. Otherwise the place and staff were great
I am a man 70+ years old. recently stayed here with my daughter who had business meetings nearby . I am familiar with walking the PATH. came across some barber shops and later decided to get a cut. decided to ask concierge if she had any recommendation. wound up at Tower barber on Queen west close to University. they had the old style chairs and I enjoyed the best barber work I can rembember. my thanks to the tip from concierge staff. also, the hotel is top class and the French themed restaurant magnifique
The location is close to the station really great for connection to the airport. Loved the pool especially the fact it is open at 6 am as I am a fan of early peaceful morning swims. Room is very spacious with fabulous king sized bed so comfortable too
Clean good location. Nice breakfast
Bathroom needed updating
The location and comfortable beds
Unhelpful rude staff. Lack of attention to detail such as not enough towels left in the room for correct number of guests. Staff said they “ran out of robes”. Bins not emptied and towels not replaced after room cleaning. For the price of the hotel we expected more. Will opt for a different hotel next time
Emplacement et piscine extérieure chauffée
Tout était A1
Gorgeous hotel and stunning rooms!! Get the executive pass if you can. The hotel has a great french restaurant that serves delicious French fare. If youre downtown Toronto, this is a solid stay!
Room Was Spacious
Uncomfortable bed
The Hilton Toronto is in the heart of downtown Toronto which is centrally located and walking distance to many restaurants, bars, the harbor, Union Station, CN Tower, and Chinatown. The downtown area felt safe and clean even at night. We had a room facing the CN Tower which was ok but nothing spectacular. There were a few minor problems during our stay. The hair conditioner bottle was not refilled for several days until I called housekeeping. There is a concierge but only available on the weekends. The lobby was full of big groups which made it difficult to walk with luggage. Many times the elevator stopped almost on every floor and it took awhile to get somewhere quickly. One day, the elevator got stuck and wouldn’t move. The breakfast buffet was adequate including eggs to order which we were not told about for several days. The highlight of our breakfast was a server named Baba who has worked at the hotel for over 50 years. Every morning he greeted us with a smile and went out of his way to serve us. He is a big asset to the hotel. Even with the few minor problems, the Hilton Toronto is a solid choice in downtown Toronto.
The staff were kind and professional.
The sliding shower door was…. Backward. I don’t know how else to describe it. The entrance was next to the toilet rather than with any sensible clearance. I also honestly think it was overpriced. The room was fine, serviceable, but honestly the rate was obscene for a pretty average room and a weird bathroom.
The lounge or club access is worthy it! Great stay!!
L'emplacement
The entrance, valet personnel and front desk personnel were all lovely people. The lobby was beautiful. Rooms were extremely spacious, beds comfortable and pillows were TOP NOTCH in comfort. Room/bathroom was clean and well laid out. Loved the closet where lights turned on when you opened it, and drawers for clothes in there - all a nice touch!
The only thing was there were no coffee cups with the coffee maker, so I Could not get coffee in the room. Don’t want to call down to front desk as my daughter was sleeping. We would have loved to eaten breakfast in the Frenchy Brasserie, but the prices were a bit steep.
Good location, very clean and been upgraded since our last stay. Restaurant was really yummy and great service
Elevators broke one day so had to use staff elevators instead. Also they didn’t know what a cot was. They thought a cot was a sofa bed.
I loved it
Nothing in particular
I stay in a lot of hotels for business. The good here — Great location in downtown Toronto - connected to PATH system linking via underground to finance towers, Blue Jays stadium, Union station etc. Checkin was smooth, friendly and was offered water on a hot day. Hotel had good bar/Restaurant and cafe and place to grab coffee etc. with lots of options nearby. I had a standard room - the layout was large and bathroom well designed. Lots of plugs and good lighting. Seemed updated - glass elevator view esp riding it up to 32nd floor was fun. The not so good here - coffee cups in room were paper disposable type only — after I used the first two, I never got more — had to use my water glass last days. Coffee pods not replaced - had to switch to decaf last day. Coffee was mediocre (not Nespresso or lavazza) — think the type you get from vending machine in a hospital. Towels were taken away but never replaced. The four large bolted-in bottles of products in bathroom were low — no lotion at all — and was not filled until I forcibly removed the empty bottle from its holder and placed it on counter to get a refill the third day. No other bathroom amenities other than the (empty to empty-ish) four bottles. If I was in a holiday inn etc would have been fine - but doesn’t match amenities or service of hotels that are the same price or less in downtown Toronto. That said I would stay again but bring my own coffee cups.
Clean
You have to request for everything you need! Room is literally empty. Not even a bottled water! Staff are not friendly and not welcoming. Not worth the price you paid.
The place in general
Food no variety
It was near the train station so not too far to walk the bed was comfortable and it was quiet
Not a lot to say about dislikes we only stayed one night getting there at 10 at night and leaving at 8 in the morning
The location and vibe in the hotel was cool. Large room!
NA
i like that the location is close for the work event i was in town for, many restaurants in the area.
it's my third time here and i feel that it's gotten noisier everytime i come. there we loud humming sounds from the ventilation and pipes in the walls that disrupted our sleep on every night we stayed. on top of it 2/3 times there were very large groups having parties til 4am. security did come stop them but it was another factor in our lack of sleep. the hotel itself and staff are very nice, but the noisiness in the room made it uncomfortable enough that i will be looking at other option for my next visit.
Great motel
Poor selection of Gluten free foods at breakfast buffet.
