DoubleTree by Hilton Atlantic Beach Oceanfront

I love the location to the beach.

The vent in our room was filthy - I was disappointed because the Doubletree has always been so very nice when I stayed in other cities. The shampoo bottle was empty also.

Michelle at the front desk was fantastic... appreciate her so much !!

Can’t think of anything

We brought ate grandkids to Shackleford Banks and chose Double Tree Atlantic Beach due to it's beach access, location, ability to bring our pets, pools and room configurations. Due to my husband's handicap he stayed in the room with our pups and was very comfortable while I was out with the grands. We had a great time and the biggest surprise was the quality of Molly's food. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We had two towels blow off our oceanfront balcony and they checked several times to see if anyone turned them in.

That their wasn't handicapped parking for my husband who walks with a cane.

It was a nice property located directly on the beach. The parking lot was small and you had to park across the road in a parking garage. So, that was a little annoying.

I did not like that. I booked it on a day that cost me one price and then I tried to add a day and it was gonna cost me 200+ more dollars.

The fridge barely work wasn't very cold and the door to balcony was very difficult to open and close.

We love the location, the fact that there's an inside and outside pool(because it was raining while we were there). The rooms are always clean and nice sized. We keep returning every summer and it's nice every time.

It’s great location and access to beach with great staff! Had issue with a toilet running all night that kept me awake, the next morning I told the front desk and was fixed right away!

Bed was comfortable, easy access to the beach, pier, and bar. Most staff (the ones we seen and spoke to) was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast staff was wonderful.

The room we was given barely had any beach view after paying x amount for a beach view. we had more view of a roof than anything so sitting on the balcony wasn’t an option for us at night. The tv remote in our room barely worked. And the room bathroom was very small.

Room was oceanfront, but was way too expensive for two nights over $1200.00. Indoor pool & outdoor pool, but outdoor pool needs some repairs with so much of the inside walls chipping off badly. Could also use some nightly entertainment on weekend like live music by pool.Breakfast buffet was very nice. But service was too slow.

First check -in with terrible attitude of staff, didn’t get all informations that I ask for such as is the 2 rooms we book connecting? I ended up getting to switch room with the other staff that was so nice and arranged that for us.

Mollys was awesome. We got a seat with the beach view.

I thought I booked an ocean front room. The room was also equipped for someone with a wheelchair and I don’t have to use a wheelchair.

Our room (#311) had an AC unit which would make an eccessive amount of noise. At one point in the night, I had to try sleeping with a pillow over my head. The sound and vibration were very, very loud and strong. Since we only stayed one night and were checking out the next morning, we didn't request a room change.

We LOVED the convenience of the beach and 2 pools! One indoor and one outdoor.

I liked the location and that it is dog friendly.

I did not like that I chose oceanfront when booking. Email said oceanfront but was given ocean view. The beach chairs for rent were very limited.

Location is good, staff is super friendly and it was a nice surprise that my 2 dogs got goodie bags at check in! Beds were very comfortable.

All the windows were dirty… The whole property could use some updating.

Some patrons were not responsible about picking up dog poo, I feel this needs to be more enforced

The mixed drinks at Molly's bar by the pool were very lacking. We got a daiquiri, painkiller, Miami vice, and all were mediocre at best.

There was a dirty glass and plastic ring on the floor under the table between the beds. I don’t think it was vacuumed. Looked like lots of crumbs were on the floor there as well.

From the outside of the hotel, it was obvious the property was not well maintained. The room had an unpleasant smell, and the AC unit constantly made loud noises throughout our stay. To make matters worse, a large dead roach fell on my daughter, which was extremely disturbing and traumatic for her. At that point, I had completely had enough. Considering we paid $535, I expected a much better experience and a clean, comfortable environment. There was not even shower gel or basic personal care items provided. Overall, this stay was very disappointing and unacceptable.

We thought we were getting an ocean front room but got a ocean view room. That was my fault when I booked, but the name of the hotel implies that all rooms are ocean front so I assumed it would be.

The staff was very very nice.They went above and beyond their duty.When I arrived and they found out O was celebrating my birthday they found a room and let us check in hours before regular time.They ask each time they saw us if we needed anything and gsve us great info on things happening in the area and all the things they had to offer.EVEN COOKIES THAT WERE HOT AND DELICIOUS.THANK YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS.IWILL DEFINITELY BOOK AGAIN.!!!

Staff was super friendly, location was fantastic, indoor pool. The free parking and the ramp to the beach were very nice. Good view from our room.

Pretty dated room that needs replacement of some banged up furniture and the curtains need a good cleaning. The indoor pool was nice, but needed to be cleaned. There were things floating in it, and the pool floor felt dirty. There were no towels available at the pool. We wanted to try the restaurant and were given coupons for a free drink at check in- however, the reviews were so bad, we were afraid to try it 😬.

Balconies are very small and no seating available. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the waves, so that was disappointing.

Great view. Room is a good deal for the price we paid. Facilities are good, pool and hot tub were nice. Great place for a last minute vacation.

Rooms needs to be cleaned better. We did find a cookie in the floor when we arrived so the cleaning needs to be better. Staff needs to have more control over the pool area. Too many people and adult guests were drinking alcohol while in the pool with children swimming nearby. That should not be allowed to happen. Need to have a greater presence in that area.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was good. Close to everything and I love having access to the beach right from the hotel.

The mini refrigerator could be updated. It does not get cool enough, but other than that, I loved everything.❤️

I believe that the beds may have been air mattress, I'm not sure but one of the 2 beds was deflated on one side. It was like rolling up hill to get to the good side. The good side was close to the wall so it was difficult to get into regardless. The furnace was very very loud and the bathroom fan did not work. The bathroom door would not stay open either. Avoid room 414.
