Single glazing windows and the parties went on right through to the morning we got no sleep at all, we were meant to stay for 2 nights we changed hotels after the first night wouldnt recommend it at all.

The hotel is very accessible and comfortable for the price range, and the staff were also very helpful and quick.

The area during the evening and night became rather sketchy, with the building windows not isolating any noise.

The location of the Hotel is within the city centre so ease of getting to the hotel is perfect, Coach station nearby too. Short walking distance from Gloucester Train station. The Room was very spacious and clean. Room had a microwave and a fridge which is extremely handy, nice big tv. Spacious shower unit too. Staff were very professional and polite. This hotel I would Recommend as its ideal for self catering needs and location within the city centre.

First issue upon arrival was the fact the lift was not working. According to staff, the contract had expired for it and locating parts was difficult. I had to carry my suitcases up three flights of stairs. Would have been helpful if they communicated this before arrival or assisted in helping me with my bags or provide a room on ground level. Second issue, after the second night of staying. I went out on my business on Sunday and returned to find that the room was not been serviced, Bin was still full, towels not replaced, toilets roll not replaced and no clean cutlery. in end had to collect toilet rolls from reception myself. Third Issue, THE BED. Mattress is not comfortable, when laying on bed, felt like was laying on a lump of hardwood. spent most of the nights changing position, as prolonged laying would cause discomfort.

Allerdings ging das Fenster nicht zu öffnen und es war super heiß und stickig. Das Personal war stets ansprechbar, sehr freundlich und lösungsorientiert. Wir hatten ein 4Bett-Zimmer gemietet, die Couch ging aber nicht aus zuklappen. Daraufhin erhielten wir ein 2. 2 Bett-Zimmer.

Due to the location unfortunately not due to the hotel itself it was very loud at times with cars and motorbikes outside the property. The bed felt a little unstable and rocked when you moved in it which made it harder to settle but once I relaxed I slept fine.

Asked for a double bed and was given a twin when I arrived and had to change rooms. Put on the 3rd floor and the lift was out of action and no offer to help with luggage. It took ages to book in. The room was dirty, no headboard behind the bed and the wall was filthy. Lots of screaming and shouting in the street outside until 4am this could be heard even with the windows shut. They had no idea about the car parking even though it stated 24hr parking in Kings Walk carpark. I eventually parked elsewhere after a friend advised that cars were being broken into at night and unfortunately another friend who attended the reunion had his window smashed and items stolen. Overall a very bad experience we will never stay there again.

Check-in was straightforward and friendly. The room was well appointed; nothing special but then nothing wrong either. A bit small but then it was enough for what we wanted.

The lift was out of operation, and I had heavy luggage. Thankfully, I had only two flights of stairs to negotiate. The street was noisy at times and the seagulls started calling early in the morning, but nothing the hotel could do about that.

Great location, very close to the bus- and train station and very close to the centre. Staff were very nice and helpfull (especially James). Big room, beds were good, bathroom was good, nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room.

The lift was broken, but the staff were nice to offer us rooms on the ground floor and they offered to cary our luggage to our rooms, which was very nice and helpfull. No breakfast or bar, but plenty of places in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately this hotel is no longer part of roomsbooked. It's very sad to see that the prices are doubled now, while the rooms are no different from the other roomsbooked hotels. Unfortunately this means we will choose for a roomsbooked hotel for our next stay.

The lift was out of order yet again, it wasn't working in June, still out of order now , I have mobility problems and was given a room on the 3rd floor!

The general location of the hotel is good. That is why I chose it!

The room had none of the things one would expect to be available e.g. no way of contacting the reception from there except going down to the actual place. The fact that there was only one small towel in the 'bathroom' The fact that the toilet seat was loose and eventually came off!!! The bed was so low that that having got on it I had difficulty getting off. The window in the room was open. I tried to close it but couldn't. The room was near a bus stop and was very noisy due to voices of people below as well as the buses coming and going. Shutting the window might have helped against that.

The room was on the third floor, and the elevator was broken. I have a disability. The room's windows faced the street, and it was noisy. The biggest downside of all hotels is the poor pillows and synthetic blankets—they always make you too hot. And this room was no exception....

Lift was out of service and my room was 2 floors up, not great carrying 2 heavy bags. Room had no air con except a noisy electric fan and loud music playing most of night near hotel. Difficult to get a good night's rest.

Unbearable heat in the room, it felt like we were prisoners, even when its 14 degrees outside the room was absolutely unliveable, i debated going to sleep in my car, with just a few fans pushing the hot air around the room which must have been 35 degrees it was impossible to sleep or stay in there

The staff were pleasant and friendly. The location is super convenient and the rooms were clean and tidy.

It isn’t the hotel’s fault, but there were several addicts and prostitutes hanging around the entrance area and on the street out front. We spoke to several other guests who were very concerned about this. Our room was front facing so we could hear them shouting all night and in the morning between 8-9am there were police down trying to deal with them. Again, it isn’t the hotel’s fault and while we would still probably go back, it is the sort of thing people could do with knowing

Very spacious room. Fridge was useful, especially in a heatwave. Crockery and cutlery was also provided, which is unusual in a hotel. 24 hour reception.

Noise was a problem, especially from the cars and motorbikes speeding outside the hotel so we had to sleep with windows closed. Gloucester has some lovely places like the Cathedral and Docks area but also seems to have a bit of a problem with anti-social behaviour. Unfortunately we also had noisy people in our adjacent hotel room but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. Wallpaper above bed was stained.

The floor and room were ridiculously hot, no air con but one small fan. No windows in the room, one small unreachable skylight with no blind which let light in in the morning. We did not sleep well. We were third floor and lift was broken. Bed was small. Carpet wasn’t very nice. The road didn’t feel very safe.

Firstly, the location was ideal, being within walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit. It is on a street which hosts a number of bus stops, so there was some street noise, but it was not excessive. There were three extremely hot nights and, being on the ground floor, opening the window was a non-starter during sleep time, but this was a climate issue, not a downer on the hotel. The facilities were fine, allowing for breakfasts and (for us) salady meals to be prepared and enjoyed. The fridge was efficient and quiet. The shower was good, almost too good, as the water was slightly too warm for comfort. I needed to get advice from the Reception Team on three occasions and they were helpful and polite and efficient.

The only negatives were the shower (see above) and the fact that there is a trend in double hotel room to only provide one chair. Two might be better, especially for older people. Small niggles when placed against the positives.

Excellent central Location and very friendly staff. Very easy to get in and out. Also, very nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in the property.

Although there were good cooking facilities, it would be helpful to have a better designed mini kitchenette. Balancing all the crockery and utensils on top of the microwave is not a good idea. In addition, the height of the worksurface was too great for easy use of the computer. A separate facility would’ve been very helpful with associated sockets. None of the sockets had any USB access which is normal these days.

Most of the things one would expect in a room like this were not there e.g. a link to reception, no 'extras' such as a mug or glass in the shower room for cleaning teeth. The bed was too low down i.e. the top of it was only about a foot from the floor, which made getting up out of it very difficult. The toilet seat was broken! \every time I reported such things to the person at reception he just smiled and nodded!

There was no storage unit which had any drawers. The bins were not emptied every day. There was only one chair, although this is a double room. The pillows were lumpy.

Spacious refrigerator, microwave, kettle with coffee and tea, has a lift, 24 hour front desk, window opened and fan, street quiet even though bus stop on our side because buses are electric. We ate at the Witherspoons close by which was lovely restored theatre, the cafe nearby were discounted to aid homeless and the food was good, area is a bit rough around the edges but was ok.

Area needs more green, the feature photo is misleading unless you stay in expensive “suite”.

It is very close to the train station and tourist attractions, and the in-room amenities are good. The room was big enough, and there was space for the suitcases. The internet connection is strong. The person in charge during the day was very friendly.

The bed wobbled a bit because it was made by joining two bed bases; the wooden surfaces, in particular, felt sticky. The overall cleanliness could have been better. But is it a place to avoid? Absolutely not. It meets your needs. The night supervisor was avoiding conversation.

This is a MASSIVE complaint for me. I stay at this hotel every 6 months or so. Trouble is I forget a consistent major irritant for me. And that is the sheets on the bed are too small. They spring away from the mattress. I find myself waking and trying to pull the sheet back on the mattress. Which inevitably fails. I have never gotten a good nights sleep at the Central Hotel because of this. Will give it one more go and if it is still the same will look elsewhere.

- Great location, near the station and at the bottom of the main high street. - Shower was big and good pressure/temp. - Reception staff was really friendly upon arrival and got us an extra fan as it was quite hot. - Fridge was very large and plenty of utensils.

- Room did get very warm and fans weren’t able to keep the temp down. We also think the fridge was probably contributing to the heat. - Mattresses weren’t the best, one kept sinking down the middle.

The place is nice however sometimes the road infront of it get noisy. It is nothing to do with the hotel as the hotel is quite nice.

Location is spot on for the area, however the street the hotel sits on seems to be the place to be a popular place for groups to hang around causing noise & nuisance, and the very open use of drugs outside of hotel, (though thats not the hotels fault and staff were friendly) Shower pressure was lovely Tv is a decent size with great TV signal Love the idea of a fridge in the room Provided bathroom toiletries. Its ok for the money (but would expect a comfy sleep)

Was kept awake most of the night with noises from outside and inside, every door slams and it echos. The bed was probably the worst bed ive ever stayed in the comfort was 0. The heat in the hotel was unbearable they had tried to open window close curtains and provided a desktop fan which I do appreciate but an upgrade of air-conditioning would be highly ideal. All the rooms were stifling we had 6 rooms between us all and all 6 were ridiculously hot. Our bathroom had a strong smell of urine and the place overall just didnt smell clean. Tbh if the beds were upgraded and they updated their system to make the hotel cooler, then It wouldnt be a bad hotel at all.

Rooms we had were on the ground floor, with easy access. They were clean, and we had the use of an ironing board and iron, which they kindly got for us. Staff were friendly and very helpful

The lift yet again was out of order, so happy we booked ground floor this time. Also, the beds are very low, difficult to get out of as i am disabled at the moment, being that they are on the ground floor, perhaps getting some bed risers would help future customers..

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They did a free upgrade for some of us. The location was perfect, near shopping mall, and good breakfast options were available across the road. Rooms were big. Would choose this place again in the future. Every room was equipped with kettle and microwave oven.

The lift was down, the heat was too much due to the heat wave. The rooms were quite warm, but we managed. The small fans were helpful.

Room was very good but very warm. Fan was a help so thank you for that.Staff were fantastic. Young lady at reception loaned me her battery charger as my phone had died and I had not charger with me. In the morning I was being collected early and asked about coffee. As I had bags and was waiting for a lift I felt I could not set off to buy one. Young man promptly went off and bought me one. Very Impressed with these members of staff.

The lift was not working and my room was a good few flights up. I am 78 and had been at the hospital nearby all day so carrying my bags up there was do able but a lift would have been good.

Very good shower. Tea/coffee making facility plus biscuits 😊. Although the sound insulation in hotel isn't great, my stay was really quiet and there was no disturbance from outside.

There were two of us but only one chair in the room. The room was very warm, I imagine it would be quite uncomfortable if the outside temperature was high.

Location is top notch as it was located in the central of the city – few walks away to the train and bus stations, restaurants and supermarkets.

The bed wasn’t that comfortable enough as the mattress was too soft. I could feel the bed frame when I’m laid on sat in the bed which gave me a bit of back aches. Not certain of other beds in the hotel, but I’m speaking for the bedroom where I dwelled.

Location. Hotel is a very close to Gloucester Station which was just what I needed as I was passing through and needed to catch an early train in the morning. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There was no bottled water supplied and, at the time I arrived, I had difficulty finding a supermarket locally to buy snacks and water. Although a fan was supplied the room was very warm and the window only partially opens.

Disgusting stay. Paid for three nights stay, was constantly disturbed staff knocking calling moving my stay every day. It’s horrible
