Staff were very friendly. Easy check in.

Beds were very narrow. Breakfast was poor selection for price. Bathroom sink tap was difficult to work and shot water across the sink.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was nice and with a large range of hot and cold foods.

Room was probably due some re-decoration soon, just some scratched up looking furniture and older looking carpet brought it down a little bit, didn't detract from my stay.

I think the room was nice and I enjoyed the breakfast. All the staff were friendly especially in the breakfast sitting.

The breakfast was a problem for us. Something we ate made us immediately react poorly. Stomach issues and needing the toilet. The quality of the breakfast wasn’t very good, the sausages and bacon tasted cheap and with us also having issues I’d say We would stay again but wouldn’t have the breakfast. The parking is good they have it but abit dear in pricing

Rooms were very hot, aircon didn't work, raised this but never got fixed. Forced to keep windows open through the night and very noisy due to central location, so we couldn't sleep. Also, despite leaving the sign on the door for room service at 10am, no one had come by the time we came back at 4pm, to relax and get ready before heading out for 5pm. Shortly after someone came and insisted they would only clean now between 4-5pm. We said that was not convenient, they had had 6 hours to come and didn't, and to come back after 5pm. A few minutes later someone else came saying this would not be possible and not at all understanding. Staff at reception and in the restaurant/bar were good, but room service poor and inflexible. The two points above marred our stay and wouldn't go back here because of it.

Great location, with additional bonus of parking . Lovely breakfast, great choice for gluten free.. On arrival was met with such a lovely friendly receptionist called Joanna, who could not do enough for us.

Whatever she believes it seemed self serving & unprofessional. To someone’s face we would never use pronouns & if we spoke about her after we would say she because she was clearly a woman. So a bit immature & posturing.

Booked a junior suite this time certainly not disappointed. Plenty of space with some nice finishing touches of a proper coffee machine, fridge stocked with bottled water and soft drinks. Having a "separate" sitting area was nice although the lighting could be improved. Bed comfy as always but seems to get bigger with each stay...!

Not offered the vouchers for the daily coffee on arrival and had to request them which was confusing for the bar/coffee man in the restaurant who had to check if we were eligible for them(!). Air conditioning not working in the room which is why we guess there was a stand alone unit to use.

Good location, clean & spacious rooms. Good food in the restaurant, breakfast was also good.

Rooms were extremely hot, limited ventilation. Toilet didn’t flush well. Staff was very nice but very slow as well (at the bar / restaurant).

Everything from the central location, grear room, delicious breakfast which was actually hot which was a bonus. The staff were lovely really helpful great front desk welcome so first impressions were good. Joanna stood out and provided directions and other information, nothing seemed too much trouble. Lovely touch in our room with Birthday balloons.

Overall the hotel was good, the staff friendly and accommodating.

The air conditioning was weak, and cut out after about 30 minutes. Would probably not have been a problem if there had not been a heatwave.

El lavabo un poco antiguo y la ducha era pequeña y la cadena de la ducha era corta. Lo demás bien. Pero pedí habitación luminosa y daba a zona interior. La habitación grande y cómoda y el personal muy agradable y colaborador.

Went to leave luggage, room was ready so early check in by Joanna who was lovely and genuinely interested about our stay and plans. She remembered us from a previous stay which was lovely. We had a free upgrade and a bottle of bubbly for my husband’s birthday. Highly recommend this hotel 😄

The bar and restaurant lacked atmosphere, we just had breakfast. The area is down trodden. All the pillows were very firm, needs to be a mix.

First time at Leonardo, and we were really impressed . Everything was lovely & clean, staff were lovely & helpful, the breakfast was absolutely delicious & had absolutely everything, will definitely be visiting again.

Bar a little expensive, on leaving room for breakfast the hall way to the lift, /stairway was literal littered with 50 plus students sat on the floor with open books and folders waiting to enter a exam in one of the suits. Reported to the staff who told us they wouldn't be there for long. Not really the point blocking our way to breakfast.

Very creeky on our floor in the room and along the hallways. Got woken in the early hours by people walking around and the creeping from rooms above

Perfekte Zimmer und gute Lage - allerdings ist die Lage so gut, dass ein Pub mit open-air Terrasse direkt auf der anderen Straßenseite ist, so dass man nur mit geschlossen Fenstern oder bei sehr lautem Stimmpegel schlafen konnte. Frühstück war ausgezeichnet.

Eine zentrale Lage hat eben auch Nachteile und wer mit geschlossenen Fenstern schläft, hat kaum Einbußen.

Das Hotel liegt in einer perfekten Lage im Zentrum von Cardiff. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist ordentlich.

Das Zimmer war aus unerklärlichen Gründen sehr warm, man konnte aber mit der Klimaanlage runterkühlen.

They upgraded us to a very large room on a corner with a lot of windows. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Some soft pillows would’ve been nice. The biggest problem was the construction right across from us.

The tap on the bathtub is a bit fiddly to use. It’s not easy to change the water temperature. The room near lift lobby can get noisy in early morning

Friendly and helpful staff, centrally located. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Convenient hotel carpark right next door (entrance is just before the hotel main door as you drive into the dead-end road), which has a reasonable number of spaces, if expensive.

The poor air-conditioning in our room on the hottest day of the year! We reported in the afternoon that it wasn't working properly and were promised it would be looked at but nothing changed. We had been looking forward to a cool night's sleep after a very hot day, but instead we sweltered through the night as there was barely any cool air coming through the vent (and you can't open the windows more than a crack). It also kept turning off, so we were up every couple of hours during the night to put what little we had back on. The receptionist told me the next morning that it is pre-set to go off every 2 hours, which is a good idea to save electricity during the day but ridiculous at night. There are no instructions in the room on how to change that setting, if it is possible anyway. To be fair, the hotel did give us a partial refund, but still, we were exhausted the next day and it impacted our stay in Cardiff. Also, the parking instructions are really confusing. The hotel website said one thing, the information we were sent by email another, and most of it seemed to be out of date. We found that the hotel doesn't give a discount on the nearby NCP carpark, it costs double what we had been told, and it's not straightforward to pay. I wouldn't recommend leaving a car there overnight anyway, based on the amount of vomit, urine and food waste everywhere. It's worth the extra 35 pounds to use the hotel carpark.

The aircon was terrible, the control pad kept switching off after about 2hrs, not that you could feel it working. The windows didn't work as the sash ropes were broken. I had to prop the window open to try cool the room down. The fan was just blowing hot air around. This made for 2 nights of very poor sleep. When aiconditioning is listed as a feature I at least expect it to work. When it was on you couldn't feel it blowing. I wouldn't recommend to friends and colleagues because of this. Its not the standard I expect.

The front desk receptionist on the evening of August 28th 2026 around 10.00 PM who wasnt helpful at all. Context: i lost my wallet in the backseat of a taxi which brought me to the hotel. Once I realized that, I asked her to call the number that was on the receipt, it had all the details of my fare, she never tried to assist me in this matter. And i asked her kindly to do so since I was all shaken up because of it ( coming from a long flight and all that). She turned her back and left me in the lobby all by myself. Here is a question for the management of this hotel. Is this the way you train your employees to deal with your customers? I might add that I left the hotel within two hours since my arrival because of this inappropriate behaviour of hers, althought i paid my room in full( 137 £ / night). I left the hotel because I felt utterly UNWELCOME. so, next time I will ask for my money back.

Poziția este foarte bună. Micul dejun este ok, dar se termina relativ repede multe sortimente.

Am rezervat o suită (305) și mare ne-a fost surpriza cand am constatat ca la toaletă era doar apă fierbinte. La duș, evident, doar apa fierbinte si foarte fierbinte. Imi vine greu sa cred ca personalul nu știa despre aceasta problema. Nu acceptati sa vinse dea camera la etajul 3, deaorece acesta are o inaltime mult mai mica decat etajul 1. Hotelul este ponosit, cu mobilier vechi. Dupa ce am semnalat incidentul, camera ne-a fost schimbata cu una inferioara, evident cu returnarea diferentei, dar o zi a fost de cosmar fara a avea posibilitatea sa te speli.

Ampiezza e comodità della camera, il personale in reception. Una buona colazione in una bella sala.

La tenda sporca della camera assegnata. La vasca da bagno uso doccia. Le ditate sulla porta. Zona centrale con schiamazzi notturni. Diversi homeless nei paraggi.

It was a great location if u are going to a show at the arena or doing anything central

It was quite pricy for one night but it was a special occasion and the hotel did do a nice surprise of balloons on the bed and a bottle of wine in the room so was worth it for a treat

Our room was directly opposite a night club with old single glazed sash windows so we were basically in a rave until 4am 😱 DO NOT stay in rooms 109-116…………209-216………or 309-316……….on a Saturday as you will be totally unable to sleep………ask for a rear room 👍

Location was really good, it was only a 5-10 minute walk to both the castle and the museum. And right next to all the shops.

The bath was slippery and my partner fell and hit his head. Nothing serious and to be fair enough there were signs about the bath being slippery but hey... Men don't listen!👂 Apart from the windows there were only 2 lampshades. I needed a bit more light (curtains open led to the room being warmer than needed).

Noisy neighborhood, noisy air conditioning, carpet got wet because of leak in the window and wall. When I reported the problem, they just said they were fully booked and couldn't do anything. Worst customer experience. There is annoying light in the room that you can't turn off when you go to sleep.

Lovely stay for 2 nights to celebrate our 39th Wedding Anniversary and to visit our young grandchildren who live in Caerdydd. We had lovely artificial Rose petals on the bed and heart shaped towels arranged prior to our arrival. Nice touch!
