We had 2 single beds which was not a problem but one of them was very uncomfortable we told the desk staff the first one came up and laughed the manager said he was lost for words. We were told we would get a 50% discount from booking. Com I am still waiting for the email to confirm this.

La cama pequeña, colchón duro, la almohada súper dura, cuando desperté leí un cartelito que decía que podía solicitar otra almohada en recepción? Raro que un hotel de 4 estrellas no provea de 2 o 3 almohadas diferentes dentro del cuarto. No hay heladerita. En el baño no había ni crema corporal, ni acondicionador para el cabello Lo peor fue el calor del cuarto, mediados de sept, puse aire acondicionado en 19 grados y solo echaba viento, se maneja en forma central y a gusto del hotel

The staff added another bed in my room for another of my guest, it was clean and quiet and such an awesome vibe throughout

I had to ask for an extension lead as there are no plugs close to the bed, as I have sleep apnoea, and my plug wouldn’t reach the plug, but they happily gave an extension lead no issues.

Rooms really dated, but comfortable. Very overpriced for the stay. Had to check out early due to road closures for a football game. appreciate this wasn’t the hotels fault however this wasn’t communicated on booking only found out when checking in. This meant we had to leave 2 hours before checkout which impacted our stay, if we would have known this we would have booked an alternative hotel.

Location - right next to the castle and rugby ground - next to the city centre too - perfect really. Room was reasonably priced, clean and quiet. Breakfast was generous too

It is convenient for the centre of Cardiff for shopping and visiting the castle. Great large comfortable bed excellent breakfast with a good choice. Car park easy to get into and near to hotel.

Parking was unavailable. A large lorry and truck delivery depot just outside my window made a lot of noise 2 nights running. I asked to move rooms but was told by a member of staff that all rooms are noisy!

Room met expectations

When I booked the room for the first night it cost me £70 When I asked on reception if I could extend my stay for a second night they wanted to charge me £155. I did of course refuse and went to Premier Inn for just £62.00. Guess where I will go next time.

Best location , clean and comfortable, nice bar and restaurant on site , great service from Gio , rooms are not luxury but have everything you need , spacious enough for suitcases etc , parking convenient so close to main centre although extra cost , worth it for no stress to find park . Opposite park for walking , water ferries and Cardiff Castle. 5 mins walk to city centre. Also next to stadium if there for sports.

The hotel location was about a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central Train Station and directly across from the Castle gardens and close to the city centre shopping malls, restaurants and bars. The location was ideal for the event we were attending and was a short 6 minute walk over the bridge to the other side of the river which was perfect. On returning back late from the event the bar area was still open and we managed to order a pot of tea for two, but other guests were still enjoying late night food which was a nice touch. We were located on the 5th floor and the bedrooms had a great view of the Principality Rugby Stadium and again the river.

One of the two rooms wasn't ready on our arrival even although we arrived late due to train delays, but we were given a voucher for any drink at the bar until the 2nd room was ready. Downstairs in the hotel is fairly modern and spacious but the rooms were a bit dated with furniture and furnishings and at £166/night was very expensive for what it was. They were however clean and tidy.

The location is perfect, it's literally across from Cardiff Castle in the center. There is a big parking lot, although parking is not free. Staff is very welcoming and helpful.

The whole hotel needs an upgrade, as everything feels very outdated and worn. Bed we had was too small for a double. The main concern, however, was the noise. There seems to be no soundproofing whatsoever, not even the usual amount. Up at the 6th floor we could hear the road, traffic lights and people singing with the window closed. To say nothing of constant doors closing and a strange thud somewhere in the hotel that never stopped. Definitely not a good option if you are a light sleeper.

All very average but the food at dinner was decidedly grim.

We stayed for two nights. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the room had a large TV. The room was clean and was serviced during our stay, with the bed made after the first night. The location was convenient and within walking distance of Cardiff Central train station.

Some of the furniture was a little dated. The desk drawers did not work properly – when opening the top drawer, the lower drawers would open as well. The windows were quite dirty. After our first night, the room was serviced, but one of the small towels was removed and not replaced, and the coffee sachets were not replenished.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The location is right across the road from Cardiff Castle and just a few minutes' walk to the Principality Stadium, shops, and restaurants. The staff were amazingly friendly and offered us some delicious Welsh cakes at check-in. Our room was spotless, exceptionally comfortable, and very quiet despite being so central. We recommend it!

Only gave a 5 out of 10 as there was a banging noise in our room approx every 3 mins ALL NIGHT, maybe the lift or the air con? Meant I got absolutely zero sleep.

The location was great. We really enjoyed the clean and comfortable room and the air conditioning was an extra bonus

They was nothing we didn't like

We stayed in a twin room which was spacious and well designed. The beds were comfortable and it was a five minute walk from the main Cardiff railway station. Cardiff city Centre was within very easy walking distance, with an enormous number of options to eat out very close by. The aircon was very efficient, Netflix was available on the bedroom tv, as well as the option to Chromecast. Breakfast was delicious, a vegan diet was catered for very well and all of the food looked freshly cooked.

The bathroom wasn’t very well laid out and quite small compared to the bedroom. Unfortunately for the Hotel at the time we stayed, BT were digging up the road very close to us and so we were kept awake with pneumatic drills starting at midnight. However, this is a very temporary issue while this work has been carried out.

Hotel was lovely, all area including the room where clean, reception team, waiter/waitress were lovely, we had a lively conversation with the Greek waiter, I wasn’t expecting the restaurant food to be up to much but we had burgers that were very tasty well seasoned, very filling, breakfast was very quiet and calm, breakfast was good, great selection.

Everything, would defo partly visit again, we are quite frequent visitors to Cardiff, the convenience of the car park was great, fab location with short walk to shopping centres

Great location , decent condition . Staff friendly

No one was able to answer the room service after 10pm. Went down to bar. Lots of people were in the bar trying to get a drink and some food from the 24hr menu. But there was only one person serving. The staff member did his best, but ultimately had to turn people away because he couldnt make food and serve drinks .

It's was genuinely good, my dislikes are not real issue.

The hotel was very close to the venue we were visiting and close to local restaurants. When we arrived we were early. My son is a wheelchair user and we hadn't been able to book an accessible room. Despite our assurances we would be ok, Fiona who was looking us in said she would do all in her power to sorr one out for us. When we came back to get our keys she had arrange an accessible room. Unfortunately she had left at that time and we were unable to say thank you

Air con in the room was very good especially during this heat wave. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional as always. Like this hotel and the location is easy to get to, Impressed with the free parking being close to the facilility and even better when we were told if we use our IHG it would be free : )

Great Location for Exploring Cardiff We had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn in Cardiff. One of the best things about the hotel is definitely its location. It is very close to the city centre and just a short walk from Cardiff Castle, one of the city’s most famous landmarks. Restaurants, shops and many of Cardiff’s main attractions are also within easy walking distance. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Our room was tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. After spending the day exploring Cardiff, it was nice to come back to a quiet and relaxing place. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. With its excellent location, cleanliness and comfort, I would happily consider staying here again if I return to Cardiff. I would definitely recommend it, especially to anyone who wants to explore the city on foot.

The bar area and restaurant are great and well laid out so that you're not sitting on top of each other.

The bedrooms are looking tired. Could do with a paint, new carpets and a thorough dust.

Excellent size room, very big comfortable bed, we both slept really well. Bar area and restaurant lovely and relaxing, all staff very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our breakfast, both mornings it was delicious,hot and very good selection. Hotel is in the perfect location for shopping and castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel. Can’t wait to come back..

Didn’t realise it was one bedroom with signed in it meaning 2 couples all sharing a room

Check in was very good arrived early but staff were extremely helpful with my bags etc.

Very convenient for a concert we were attending in Cardiff Castle as castle opposite. Would also be excellent base if attending Principality Stadium. Was able to park my car at the hotel which was a bonus as I am disabled and unable to walk very far. Good choice of breakfast.

Received confirmation from booking.com by return Two days later found my credit card was charged twice by booking.com. sent emails but received nothing from them.
