Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you. It’s up there with my favourite hotels. I will staying again soon

Location was excellent and the staff were wonderful, they went out of their way to make us comfortable and help us celebrate my partner's birthday.

Stayed 3 times at the Indigo and the breakfast is always exceptional so much choice and you can also have a kipper or poached egg cooked for you always plenty of orange juice for people like me who do not drink coffee it is about 15 mins walk to the station so wished I could transport the hotel a little bit nearer felt very secure entering the hotel on a night Liked having a fridge in the room

The letter regarding breakfast dinner times could have been in a folder maybe as we missed the reverse about how to operate the air conditioning

When making a reservation with Booking.com , I am always given a less desirable room. We did not have a room with a window which was annoying .

we had a family room on the 2nd floor where windows were not transparent and could not be opened. for 2 nights this was ok but would have been a problem for a longer stay. not recommendable if you feel claustrophobic. but not all the rooms are like this, we were told.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I loved everything, from the location and the room to the staff, who were all so kind and welcoming. The highlight was definitely the breakfast. It was absolutely amazing, and everything was delicious! I couldn't have asked for a better breakfast. Thank you for such a lovely stay. I would happily come back again!

View from window was just walls. Main entrance was down an arcade which you had to unlock after 8pm.

Esta en pleno centro, la habitacion tiene un tamano perfecto, el bano es increible con crema de manos y acondionador que no suele haber en los hoteles de este precio incluso tienen altavoz en el bano para escuchar la tv, tenian una bata para cada uno. El desayuno fue excelente, tienen todo lo que puedas imaginar de bufet y tambien te ofrecen desayuno a la carta. Increible

The welcome, the service, and location! Loved the decor in my room. Perfect stay of going to a concert at Cardiff castle.

Rooms are clean comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was lovely and the staff at reception (hi Zara) and restaurant were all very sweet.

The recommended parking garage although very conveniently located, was horrendous: dirty, dodgy and overall unsafe. I understand that there is a transition going on between the owners. Hopefully with the new management it’s going to change to the better.

The staff was absolutely phenomenal, very kind and resourceful. The rooms were quiet, very bright and comfortable. Everything was spotless, the location is unmatched.

It's been one of the best experiences in a hotel. One thing worth mentioning is that, although the shower was very nice, water can splash out and flood the floor if you're not a bit careful the first time you use it. Other than that, it was pleasant.

The staff were extremely friendly.

Wow honestly we couldn't of been happier, we were met with a big smile from the receptionist who was so lovely , she told us we were upgraded as we were guests of the day, which was very special and made me smile, free mini bar, room upgrade and drinks in the bar...just amazing <3

Quiet and simple

I felt like Theseus navigating the labyrinth to get to my room.

The hotel was excellent, the rooms were very spacious and lovely. The location was more than amazing, in the center, and I used the gym in the hotel which was very good and good in size.

The room lighting was less than ideal as the windows were glazed and probably this was because they faced the inside of the hotel. The lights were also dim in general. The corridor is tight and I had a difficult time taking my bags to the rooms as there was no trolley to assist me in moving them.

Outstanding customer service from Callum and the team. They looked after us. They upgraded our room when a light bulb wasn't working, which was very generous. Room decor was very thoughtful and imaginative with lots of storage, a fridge and GREAT air conditioning. There was a walk in shower and a large modern, clean bathroom. Location was excellent. Close to Boots, shopping and the excellent entertainment district of Cardiff. And the castle.

We would've liked a larger bed (Queen size, at a minimum). The barman on the 6th floor seemed to be indifferent in his attitude. He not only served us wine that was very obviously "off" (stale) it was a red instead of the rose that we asked for. There's a training opportunity for him. It was so lonely in the bar we took our drinks to the ground floor. Lastly the coffee mugs don't fit into the coffee machine.

Dissatisfied that it wasn’t pointed out to us to download parking app on arrival - caused huge problems when leaving - unable to put in previous day’s date to enable payment!!?

I usually always stay here when I visit Cardiff for work yet on a previous visit I noticed a hair on one of the bath towels. I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and rebooked. During my next stay I went to have a shower. Again, there was hairs on the towels. In addition to this, the kettle was so dirty I couldn’t use it. When they brought me a new kettle to use, while making a cup of tea I looked in the fridge to see it was dirty. Entirely put off by staying here again.

Cleanliness.

Great location for the city centre and convenient parking nearby. Staff were very welcoming and friendly from check in to check out. Lovely restaurant food although drinks were a little pricey. Room was spotless with everything you need supplied. Very comfortable bed and the shower- wow - fantastic. We visit Cardiff regularly and will definitely be going to stay here again. A real gem of a hotel

El problema no es el hotel, el problema es que el centro de Cardiff a partir de la tarde noche es un lugar poco amigable con ambiente muy enrarecido lleno de borrachos. En otra ocasión me ubicaría en la zona de la bahía de Cardiff.

The staff were fantastic and gave excellent recommendations for where to go. The hotel itself is quite quirky and charming. I loved the sheep!

The toilet seat was so worn it looked dirty and while the room was clean and charming, there were homeless people encamped 200ft from the elevator to the rooms at the back entrance to the hotel, which Google Maps kept leading me to. There were a couple of dings in the wall.

Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless that hang around near by drinking etc which can be quite intimidating to walk through, to make it clear they are not directly outside of the hotel but on the same street leading to the hotel

stanza molto bella, stile industrial con letti comodi, bagno grande, doccia fantastica. Posizione a due minuti a piedi dal castello. Colazione ottima tutto buono, fresco, sia dolce che salato. Ottimo soggiorno.

A well located hotel, superb room, very nice and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast spread.

The area is in the centre of Cardiff and there were quite a food people who appeared to be drug-addicts living rough. They weren't bothering people but it led to a slight feeling of discomfort.

Perfect location 3 minutes from Cardiff Castle, and easy walking distance to trains, buses, and many many restaurants and amenities. Check in and out was smooth and easy and the room was very cozy and comfortable.

Todo genial, habitaciones amplias y bien equipadas. El baño con ducha cómoda. Las camas cómodas también, aunque en una de ellas se debieron olvidar de poner el muletón, pero por lo demás todo excelente. Personal muy amable y dispuesto. Lo recomendaría sin duda, muy buena relación calidad-precio.

Sehr nettes Personal, Zimmer sauber und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Die Lage des Hotels ist schrecklich. Sehr laut, Fenster waren nicht zum öffnen. Das Parkhaus in der Nähe war eine Zumutung und glich eher einer großen Toilette. Wir waren froh, dass unser Auto unversehrt geblieben ist, nachdem uns einige Autos mit eingeschlagenen Scheiben ins Auge fielen.

We booked this hotel because it had a gym which was good. The breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful as our air conditioning wasn’t working effectively so they moved us to another room which we really appreciated.

Drop off was at the back of the arcade and a bit seedy. We didn’t use that exit again. The restaurant ran out of food on Sunday night so the only items available were hamburgers and a salad.

The staff were amazing. Communication with hotel before we got there was excellent. The room was lovely bright and clean. Tea and coffee in room was plentiful. They have a Guest of the Day - room picked at random. How lucky were we to be that room. Complimentary drink each in the bar on the 6th Floor which we enjoyed on the terrace outside. Breakfast was very good. Overall we could not fault this hotel. Location is great but a bit tricky to find - the hotel board should be outside as you could easily walk past the entrance unless you are looking up and you can see the name on the front of the building.

The suggested car park (Greyfriars) was good value with the given discount code but it is not for the faint of heart. Car was secure and fine but be warned about the stairwells which are vile. Strong smell of urine and rubbish everywhere. I would have felt very unsafe if I’d had to go back to the car for anything at night and would definitely make sure you don’t leave anything inside the car at all

Everything, the location is amazing and despite it being on a Main Street in Cardiff so close to the castle it was extremely quiet, the beds were super comfy I fell asleep so quickly and had one of the best nights sleep, honestly 10/10 stay and would definitely stay again

The air conditioning unit was a bit tricky to navigate and didn’t work fully as expected but can’t expect it all 😂

Staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The location was superb, 5 minute walk from the railway station, right in the centre of town. Excellent use of the Welsh language throughout, a great sense of location. Room was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty with a great choice of items.

You had to walk down a floor to find the toilet for the rooftop bar and restaurant, not a major problem but it was difficult to find

We love everything about the hotel which is why we only book it for our trips to Cardiff.

All good, lack of fresh air in the room wasn’t great and the air con wasn’t functioning particularly well if at all which meant the room was far too warm and had a poor night’s sleep.

Close to the centre. Especially rugby ground cricket ground and castle. Restaurant was good with a small area for looking over the city. Nice helpful staff. Basically the hotel is good once you actually get into it.

The car park. No discount available as NCP had sold car park to Q. It was not easy to set up parking with the new provider Q The area around the car park walking to the hotel is not very nice.

I had to leave on my second day of staying. So, nothing I can remember. Some stains on the mirror from the previous guest. Also, at Booking the property advertised as “on prepayment needed. Pay at property” but in real time I could not book the suite without the full payment. Please update the booking information with the site.

El tapizado del respaldo de la cama estaba roto, tenia un agujero donde se apoya la cabeza; la pintura del baño estaba saltada. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba bien, solo apenas un poco de ventilación y afuera habian 28°C! La entrada es a través de una galería comercial, por lo que desorienta a la llegada y no lo hace muy atractivo. La ducha muy buena

Stayed 5wks ago and had to go back to Cardiff, so didn't hesitate in staying at The Indigo again. I also told my Colleague to stay there too, he was also very happy with it. Once again the staff on reception were so friendly, the hotel room was great and the full Welsh breakfast, absolutely fantastic.

The hotel was located in an arcade. This was closed at 8pm, and entry was by card. This gave added security, and I felt it would be especially good for lone female travellers . The breakfast was excellent with very good service. I loved the shower.
