The staff were exceptional – going more than the extra mile to be helpful and friendly. We very much appreciated their cheerful attitude and professional capability. Thank you.
Every one was nice
Everything
Nothing was bad
Very modern, visually appealing hotel. The pool was nice and always had available towels. Breakfast was more varied than expected
Cleaning our room was done only around 4-5 pm every day. Earlier in the day, someone hanged a "please come later" sign on our door handle. At breakfast we couldn't find a clean table once. I eventually cleaned it myself with water from the pitcher and napkins. No employee even noticed me cleaning. On another morning, I couldn't find a high chair for kids, and no employee was around to ask
I had a poor experience.
Staff was rude
Loved everything about this hotel!
Czystość, lokalizacja, basen
Lovely room. Great breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff.
No housekeeping unless you ask. Brought fresh towels upon request but didn’t take away old ones. Maybe I should have been clearer.
The hotel location is very nicely positioned close to the Paseo and is very quiet with minimal traffic noise. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the service was excellent. The only downsides were a slightly small pool and the breakfast decaf coffee which was a bit on the bitter side.
Great location, great amenities, helpful staff, and a very clean comfortable stay. The breakfast was especially good.
The staff was so friendly. The breakfast was absolutely amazing it had a variety and everything was so fresh. The check in process was easy.
Check your sheets in the light specifically down comforter. Otherwise everything is clean.
This hotel is very convenient for exploring the area. The staff we encountered were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great with a variety of hot and cold choices. Only amenity missing in the room was hand/body lotion….i wish they had that.
Skipped the breakfast as it didn’t look great.
Pretty basic breakfast, so preferred to eat somewhere else.
Clean, quiet, excellent bedding, and new furniture. Also: very good breakfast.
Nothing not to like.
I want to start by saying that the hotel itself appears new and very well-maintained. Our room was clean, and the staff was friendly, courteous, and pleasant throughout our stay.
I must share a highly frustrating experience regarding the parking situation. We returned late one evening after a very long and exhausting day exploring Los Angeles with my family. To my complete surprise, there were no parking spots left in the hotel’s parking garage, despite the fact that I had specifically paid for a room that included parking. The receptionist casually informed us that this is a routine occurrence. We were directed to park in a public parking lot (provided for free). Unfortunately, this off-site lot is not directly accessible to the hotel. We had to exit the public parking facility and walk outside through a public area late at night just to reach the hotel entrance. This was incredibly inconvenient and difficult for a tired family returning after a long day
This is a very good location if you have an event at the Pasadena Convention Center. Everything is exactly what you would expect, no surprises - but also nothing special. The rooms are Hyatt Place standard, everything clean and in good repair. The front-desk staff was very friendly and helpful - big plus there!!! On the not-absolutely-super side: the WiFi at the location of my room was pretty bad. I had work-related video conferences, and those were plagued by low bandwidth and frequent drop-outs, up to the point where it was embarrassing. Definitely needs work on WiFi-coverage! This is the main reason for not giving five stars. The breakfast was serviceable and "fine," but kind of an unloved affair. I had better variety at other Hyatt Places. The seating area is not as cozy as in other Hyatt Places, either. It would have been nice to have real porcelain mugs for the coffee - overall, breakfast felt more like a Holiday Inn Express than a Hyatt Place.
Great Location, excellent breakfast, and an exceptionally comfortable room. Room and bathroom was very clean and orderly, beds comfortable, and the room I chose exactly matched the room description photos. I would stay again if ever back in Pasadena.
The only negative was daily parking costs but said costs are competitive for similar hotel properties. Always read small print when reserving hotels in dense urban areas.
The location of the hotel was very convenient to me. It was in walking distance to so many places. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I had wonderful experiences with the front desk staff as well as the staff at the hotel/bar and restaurant. The food at the Placery is really great! My bed was incredibly comfortable and the whole room has plenty of really great lighting. I even had a little balcony that was lovely to sit on in the morning. Everything was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again.
Nice check-in staff. Rooms were cleaned by the time we returned. Improved in-out for parking, thanks! Have stayed here many times before
Room (4/5): The room is spacious and has the typical Hyatt Place setup with a bed(s) and a separate couch/living area. The hotel does not yet have too much wear and tear but over the past year, I can see some age start to show. Hotel (4/5): Has a really large common area with space to sit, work, and eat breakfast. Breakfast is complimentary and the food is quite good and freshly prepared. This is probably the main reason why I keep choosing this hotel when visiting the area. Parking is expensive though ($35/night) and the reason why I deducted a point. Location (5/5): Located a brief walk to Old Town Pasadena with many shops and restaurants nearby. There's definitely a lot of restaurants and cafes to try a short walk away. Service and Cleanliness (4/5): The front desk has always been nice and helpful. The cleanliness isn't always consistent though. I hope they have enough workers and training to keep the rooms in good shape and do the proper upkeep.
Clean new hotel in a perfect location with outstanding front office staff such as Alisson and the GM Joseph.
Nothing our time there was perfect and we will return.
Wonderful location. We walked to restaurants and the movies.
We did enjoyed the complimentary breakfast ! Unfortunately the body wash soap was not refilled on arrival overall great location in Pasadena ! Parking was decent price at $35 with in/out privileges !
The facility was absolutely beautiful with wonderful offerings and a very kind staff
My shower was stuck shut and I was not able to use it. This proved to be quite stressful when coming for work from out of state. It seems the shower had fallen off of its track and became wedged shut. I feel like this should have been seen by staff before renting the room out. It caused professional delays and unnecessary frustration
Very clean and excellent service. Good breakfast in the morning that is included. Very much appreciate very helpful service at the front desk by Erika.
Nice staff, comfortable rooms, nice neighborhood, good breakfast. My family and I enjoyed our stay. We recommend it especially to families.
Exceptionnel !
All good !
Location is near several shopping and dining options. The hotel is clean, modern design and staffed with friendly people.
Good location. Quiet specious
Clean and Great Breakfast
I book there often but sometimes they don’t clarify is breakfast is free for guests
Very good location. Has more choices of room types. Decent pool area and fitness room. Attentive staff. The onky problem i had was when system was done to update keys - keys do have a tendency to deactivate. It took staff an hour to get my keys reprogrammed which i had to go downstairs to get myself after engineering had yo accompany me to my room.
Location, cleanliness, staff -all great!
I was in room 320. There was noise upstairs until the early morning. I don’t know whether it was elevator traffic or the room directly above, but it was hard to sleep through it.
Excellent location. Helpful and polite staff. Nice stay. You can easily walk to pretty much anything you need, and you can also safely walk into Old Pasadena for nighttime entertainment.
Exceptional customer service. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Clean and friendly staff
Parking a little pricey
la localisation de l hotel
le petit dejeuner assez pauvre te arret du service à 9 heures
Loved the location with nearby shopping, food and even a movie theater. Also enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet!
No complaints.
Great location. Spacious room. Friendly and efficient staff.
I didn’t like the set up for the breakfast or dining. Not a lot to choose from.
Restaurant and or food.
Comfortable room, clean, great location beautiful lobby, and breakfast area. Breakfast was delicious
Walking distance from Old Pasadena shops and restaurants.
Walls are VERY thin, so we were able to hear our neighbors talking from 10:00 a.m. until past 3:30 a.m. on the first night. Our room window was facing Los Robles Avenue so we could hear the traffic, especially loud trucks and motorcycles. The pillows were very uncomfortable. Otherwise, our stay was nice.
The hotel is in a wonderful location, easy to walk to restaurants and attractions. Very clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast with comfortable dining area.
Breakfast was delicious and staff friendly.
There was not enough towels for shower. Extra would of been great!
Beautifully spacious and very clean.
You need fam in bathroom to clear steam.
Very noisy
Great location in the heart of Pasadena. Walkable to restaurants. Easy parking garage across the street or parking under the hotel. Spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast, I love myself a good yogurt parfait and the toppings available were top notch!
We are loyal customers ever since 2022 when our daughter started her medical school studies at Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine, which is diagonally right across the hotel. The hotel is modern, comfortable and well maintained. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The service is very professional and friendly at the same time. The complimentary breakfast is good and offers variety. We always know what to expect and we have not been disappointed. The hotel offers great value.
The Good - the hotel is very clean, modern, and in a very good neighborhood of LA area with lots of great restaurants and things to do. We had a Juliette balcony room (I need fresh air!) and my 2 cents on the balcony is that 1) if the balcony doors are open, the air conditioning won't turn on, and I've reported to Hyatt that some signage would be helpful. 2.) There were happy but loud children in the pool and adjoining patio until perhaps 10 or 11 pm, not a problem but if you're a lark not an owl, you may not like it. 3.) There are three balconies adjoining each other, each with a semi-wall which enables acess to the other balconies/rooms via the glass door (which opens out- not sliding, btw) so if you need to feel super-safe, you might not like that. Could be good for families or large parties of guests, though. I am a Hyatt member and I've been very happy with all my stays there, which are usually in San Francisco. I would stay here again, as Pasadena is easily one of the best spots to land when visiting LA generally. If I had a request, though, I would ask that Hyatt Place add a magnifying mirror & better bath lighting for those of us with too many trips around the sun and fuzzy sight attempting to apply a temporary coat of paint before going out on the town.
Surprisingly seamless service for a wheelchair rider/service dog partner. Great location and easy to maneuver. Close to Pasadena City Hall, restaurants, Huntington Gardens.
I had a very disappointing experience at Hyatt Place Pasadena. Upon arrival, I waited at the front desk while two employees carried on a personal conversation in Spanish, seemingly unconcerned about guests waiting to check in. When I was finally assisted, the staff member Erica came across as dismissive and inconvenienced, particularly because I arrived earlier than standard check-in time. What made the situation more troubling was that, although they appeared to assume otherwise, I understood their conversation and found it to be unprofessional and inappropriate for a guest-facing environment. This created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere from the start. Additionally, it felt as though priority and quality of service may be unevenly distributed. I was given a subpar room, while it was evident that certain guests such as affiliated groups may receive preferential treatment. Every guest should receive the same standard of care and accommodation, regardless of status. This experience reflected a lack of professionalism and attentiveness that should be addressed by management. Staff training, particularly in guest interaction and workplace conduct, seems necessary to uphold the standards expected of a hotel in this category.
Un albergo eccezionale. Colazione ricca e ottima. Stanze grandi e confortevoli. Palestra funzionale e ben attrezzata. Ottima la posizione.
L’emplacement. Grand confort des chambres. Petit déjeuner sympa et avec beaucoup de choix
La réception avec ma réservation difficile à trouver. Avec ma CB issue d’une banque française qui paraissait être un problème à utiliser.
Hotel is in a great location. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here the next time I'm in Pasadena.
Awful. They never answered the phone. They didn’t tell us anything about breakfast. It was pretty awful. They ACOMODATED NOTHING
I love Hyatt properties in general, but as far as Hyatt Place hotels (of which I’ve been to a handful throughout the years) this was by far the nicest I’ve been to (and the others were nice), but everything from shower head pressure to room AC, to gym cleanliness, or even buffet breakfast setup was clean/worked well - overall a top notch great experience for our family vacation. Would definitely come back if ever back in the area!
The hotel is in a great location, very clean, and staff were wonderful. Pool was small but well maintained and the patio area is nice. Parking was convenient but $35 a night was pretty hefty for a paying guest. The hotel has a lot going for it but there were a few small and fixable things that would keep me from staying here again. The bed was horribly uncomfortable and sagging badly which they attempted to "fix" by adding a thick mattress topper that offered no relief. By our 3rd day we had to cancel plans for a hike because we were so sore from the awful bed. Not a huge thing, but although the room was a decent size it had 2 weird upholstered benches that took up space without being of any use and made the room difficult to navigate without badly stubbing your toes when the sleeper sofa was pulled out. We ended up tipping one on it's side and stowing it in a corner. The worst part of the room itself is that the bathroom does not have an actual door, but rather a sliding panel of framed frosted glass. This offers little-to-no privacy to the occupant of the bathroom and sibjects the other guests in the room to all of the sights, sounds, and smells of the bathroom. It makes the room completely inappropriate for use by more than a single occupant. Breakfast looked good and the cold items, while limited, were pretty decent. Hot items were served at room temperature and tasted as if they'd been microwaved hours earlier and left out. Breakfast was super crowded and set up awkwardly so everyone was constantly in everyone else's way. It also ends at 9 on weekdays which is pretty early for leisure travelers and resulted in big crowds and difficulty finding seating after about 815. They also remove the coffee from the lobby promptly at 9 which is super annoying. Overall, it was a nice clean hotel in a great location with wonderful staff. But at the end of the day, I book a hotel because I need a decent place to sleep and on that critical factor, this property fell short enough that I'd not likely stay here again.
Location was perfect for our purpose (seeing a show at Pasadena Auditorium). Lots of restaurants around the area and a mall. We felt safe walking around even in the evening. All staff arw nice and attentive, especially the person working at the restaurant/bar. No valet parking but the garage parking is convenient. Will go back again if in the area.
Downtown Location is convenient . Walking distance to many stores, movie theatre & restaurants. Love the overall vibe- modern and muted color tones. a very-up-scale feel.
The Hyatt Pasadena had a great location. The hotel was clean and modern with tasteful decor. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was bountiful.
We stayed two nights. The location is great in Pasadena. We like the layout of the rooms including the sitting area. The breakfast is very good and consistent. The lobby area is very inviting and nicely decorated. Our room was clean, spotless. Friendly desk staff. The bed was very comfortable. We could hear movement on the floor above us and next door to us someone had a dog, but did not affect our pleasant stay.
Location is prime, parking is easy and plenty spots. Room is clean and nice. The breakfast is superb. We're going to come back, for sure!
Rating: 1 Star Do not stay here if you’re traveling with kids or if you expect to receive the room you reserved. I booked a King room with sofa bed and confirmed it ahead of time. When I arrived at 11 PM with my wife and kids (6 and 9), they gave me a King room with no sofa bed. I went back downstairs and was told they gave my reserved room away because they were fully booked. They offered a Two Queen room so the kids would have somewhere to sleep, but that’s a downgrade from what I reserved. Smaller beds, smaller room, and not what I paid for. To be fair, Thomas at the front desk was very nice and tried to help. He even offered free snacks and drinks, which we declined because the kids were exhausted and just wanted to sleep. He handled it professionally. However: • They called earlier in the evening asking if I was going to show up — in a tone that was not pleasant. • Breakfast the next morning was bad. Hot food was cold and the orange juice tasted off. • Even though we had late checkout, housekeeping was knocking around 11 AM to see if the room was empty. If you’re a Hyatt Globalist, don’t expect your benefits to be respected here. If you’re traveling with kids, double-check your room type — even a confirmed reservation apparently doesn’t mean much at this property. Very disappointing stay.
Exceptional staff, super clean and comfortable. Great location. They were so nice and accommodating for my dogs...even gave us a free travel water bowl.
Stayed 1 night using my free night as Globalist. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room with good water pressure in shower. Nice gym; didn’t use the pool. Breakfast with good variety of food; can get crowded at certain times. Underground covered parking. Love the Globalist benefits of complimentary breakfast, late check out, waived parking fee.
Breakfast was very low budget. Problems in the bathroom. Wifi underperformed. It was a mediocre 3 star experience with 5 star pricing
