Location, staff, room
They don't have breakfast
A repair to the lighting in my room was made upon request.
No ice machines. Not even a plastic cup or glass for water in the room. No light over the bathroom vanity when I arrived. The A/C took a long time to kick in. And worst, I didn't feel secure. The window overlooking the walkway to all the rooms and the parking lot had a shade that wouldn't go all the way down.
I would like to place on record that on Saturday afternoon, we were asleep in our room when the door suddenly unlocked and was opened by a staff member by mistake. This gave us quite a scare at the time.

Buena zona a pesar de estar alejada. Tranquila. El personal bien. El baño bien. Con aire ac heladera y microondas.
Esta en construccion. Ascensor no funciona. Tenes que hacer una vuelta gigante cada vez que vas a tu habitacion. Deberia haber una puerta abierta/cerrada de entrada. Puede entrae cualquiera.
Cheap, ok location
Poorly organized front desk. Noisy renovations start at 7am. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room.
When I booked it , I didn’t know it was under construction and I didn’t know the pool was taken out, NO POOL … still shows pool on site ….. I received a notice about NO POOL & UNDER CONSTRUCTION two days AFTER I BOOKED …

MIT went above and beyond for the short lovely time I had. My bicycle is my primary vehicle and MIT kindly locked it safely and gave me full assurance and peace of mind throughout my stay. Wonderful staff. Thank you.
Construction
Very convenient location close to the metro station and front desk staff was very friendly.
Great location. Staff were responsive.
A high step to enter room. Ongoing construction, including early morning. Low water pressure at sink.
És un motel correcto, pero estaba en obras y lo deslucía mucho.
No tiene servicio de desayuno. Ofrecen café gratis en recepción y ya está.
Very friendly staff .. all rooms have been renovated .. exellent location
Our stay was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is still under construction, yet guests are being accommodated in rooms directly next to the construction area. We were woken up at 6:30 AM by extremely loud construction noise and were unable to get any more sleep. Both rooms next to ours were still under construction, and in fact, the entire floor appeared to be an active construction site. The hotel should not be accepting guests while these conditions exist. It was completely unacceptable and made for a very poor experience.
The motel is going through major renovations and has been bought out by another company and is now Pasadena Inn. Needs lots of work. Hopefully it will improve when work is complete.
Room nicely furnished, easy parking,
Bathroom sink was stopped up - was repaired upon request. Several lightbulbs above the bed were not screwed in properly, electric outlet above desk did not work, black widow shade blocks all light, but if you raise it you have no privacy - should have transparent curtain in addition. Property is under some construction - swimming pool is filled with dirt - just ugly.
The AC unit was very cooling.
Construction work on the pool.
Very friendly staff . Chris was a great person who checked me in .. rooms dully renovated.. modern clean comfortable .. exellent location
The location of the area was great in all aspects from being able to explore the area
The renovation did take the view away
I’ve incorporated your additional point naturally into the review: The location is ideal; however, it is a terrible place to stay. We stayed in Room 201, which was dirty and in poor condition. The walls had been painted very badly, with an uneven finish throughout. The bathroom ceiling looked as though it was coming down, the bathroom socket didn’t work, the hairdryer was broken, and the bathtub drained so slowly that it took at least 15 minutes to empty after each shower. With four people sharing the room, this made getting ready extremely inconvenient. The mini fridge barely kept anything cold, while anything placed in the small freezer compartment froze solid. The blinds were torn on both sides, allowing daylight to stream into the room from around 6:00 a.m. every morning. The hotel and the rooms look nothing like the photographs on the website. The advertising is misleading, creating expectations that simply are not met. One example is that the website gives the impression that there is a pool, but there isn’t one. During our stay, the hotel even gave our room to another couple. They repeatedly tried to enter while we were asleep, and we eventually had to open the door because they were so persistent. This was extremely concerning and made us feel very unsafe. Our return flight was cancelled, so we extended our stay by one night. We had arranged and paid for a late checkout, but on the day we were due to leave, the hotel staff were reluctant to honour the agreement, causing unnecessary stress at an already difficult time. Perhaps most disappointingly, our room was never cleaned during our five-night stay. Housekeeping never came, we had to search for clean towels ourselves, and when we arrived there was only a single roll of toilet paper provided. The location is the hotel’s only real positive. Unfortunately, the poor maintenance, misleading advertising, lack of cleanliness, inadequate housekeeping, and poor customer service mean I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.
Absolutely nothing
The beds were filled with dirt in between the sheets and lights weren’t working, towels moldy and dirty. spiders. This hotel needs to be investigated
Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The property is currently under construction and is an absolute mess. While I understand renovations happen, that is no excuse for the condition of the room we were given. The room was filthy. There was sawdust and drywall dust all over the bed frame, floors, and walls. To make matters worse, the towels in the room were dirty. After requesting fresh towels, we were given replacements that were somehow even dirtier. We asked multiple times for the room to be properly cleaned, but the staff failed to address the issue each time. The lack of cleanliness and attention to guest concerns was completely unacceptable. I contacted management several times after my stay seeking a refund or some form of compensation, but received nothing. The owners and managers of this hotel should be ashamed of how this property is being operated. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
The only good part about this CONSTRUCTION ZONE of a hotel is the staff - they are genuinely nice and kind and they try their best to be helpful, but they are dealt an AWFUL hand of cards to play with. So they can only do so much with what they have. The location is good - easy to get in and out and there's 2 levels of parking. The property has a laundry room. But the room is very dirty and each load costs $3.25 (as of June 2026). Also, you have to download an app to use the laundry machine - a huge downside and annoyance. Much prefer paying cash or loading a card with EXACT amount I need, not the rounded-up amounts in the app that guarantee that some funds will be left on the account unused.
Endemic problems - Been in 2 rooms and they both have an AWFUL and highly unpleasant smell to them. The rooms smell like a mix of wet cement and construction adhesive. You CANNOT GET RID OF THE SMELL - it's just there. No amount of AC or ventilation can address this smell problem - it's just a horrible smell that you have to endure the entire length of your stay. The room we were in did not have a working shower fan exhaust and it did not have a visible return-air duct, so the air circulation got progressively worse as you moved further away from the AC unit under the window. Speaking of the AC unit - what a loud and obnoxious thing. You need it to be ON to try to address the smell in the room, but it's old and loud and hard to sleep next to. The bathroom sink has a clog somewhere in the pipe and take forever to drain. The bedside lights are DIRTY. RELEVANT IN 2026: The temporary headache that made the stay UNBEARABLE - the construction! They are demolishing the pool in the parking lot with jack hammers and they start hammering at 6:30 in the morning! YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THIS CONSTRUCTION NOISE! From 6:30 in the morning until they finish in late afternoon, this is NOT a hotel - this is an active construction zone with a lodging side-hustle. As of June 2026, the new owners of this hotel are actively trying to renovate the property - this part is understandable and commendable. The hotel in its current form is very run down - the carpets are old, the laundry room is dirty, the rooms have an awful smell to them, and each AC unit sounds like a 1950s tractor. About 1/3 to 1/2 of the hotel rooms are being renovated at the same time. But this is NOT stated anywhere beforehand! I did not sign up to PAY to be at a construction zone with jack hammers at 6:30 in the morning. The only upside here is that they are gutting the rooms and redoing everything from scratch - perhaps in June of 2027 they will be in a much better state.

Location
Not well kept
Clean nice rooms
Parking under repair
Staff and free coffee in the lobby.
Construction noise made it almost impossible to sleep. The hotel should not be open with the noise level created by jackhammering and bulldozers. The least they could have done was offer a significant discount and provide complementary ear plugs. I didn't expect they could do anything about the early morning noise from the huge flock of birds, but that just left me with less time to sleep. Also, no water glass or ice bucket was provided in the room, and shades didn't completely block the light at night.

Location, safety and staff
Room and staff
Construction starts early in the morning
Location was reasonable given the stops that would be made.
Well maintained
TV channels and controls
No like
It was dirty, there was bed bugs, lots of outside noise, too expensive for what you paid for.
They didn’t tell me that we had to be older than 21 and wouldn’t give me my money back for not allowing me to stay.
Wasn’t able to stay even though I spent $200
Hotel is located very close to the Rose Bowl and Old Town Pasadena, which was great for convenience and proximity to points of interest. The hotel appears to be a work in progress with noisy construction activities taking place throughout the day. The pool was closed and the free breakfast no longer was available (permanent or not is unknown). The staff seemed new and somewhat unfamiliar with working with the reservations system. All in all, we had a good stay but will probably pass on returning until they complete their updates and bring their staff up to speed.
Good location, walkable distance to everything
It was under construction just changed owners. No hot shower , sofa was missing cushions and it was not clean.
Location
Pool was closed without notice. Breakfast was closed without notice. We booked to use the pool and have the connivence of not needing to search for breakfast in the morning with kids. At check-in we were informed neither was open. Fridge had mold in it. Everything was kind of clean but not fully. No parking due to construction. Paid $211 for one night for no amenities and a dirty room without any notice. Kids were mad. Was not a good trip. Overpaid. Was not worth it.
Location
No attention to details in the room.
Price was good, first room was not. Stinky, couldn't access window because the blinds were duct-taped and wouldn't move. Second room was better, though wad(s) of hair on bathroom floor/door, and toiletries were empty so unusable, and only one, not full roll of toilet paper. Front desk staff attentiveness and kindness was definitely hit or miss and, horrors, they were "out of coffee" at the free breakfast -- and when they said out of coffee, they meant for days. (Surely it doesn't help me that it was "on order" when it was unavailable in that moment, that morning.) Cleaning crew (the lady at the room, the guy doing exterior) were both very nice. I dunno, it was OK -- but it definitely could have been better!!
Good location. Decent bedding.
The mini fridge was open and leaking water when i checked in. There were towels just laid out around it to soak up water. Could also hear the other rooms theough the wall as if there were no walls. Checkout was a nightmare as they couldnt find my payment history from when I checked in somehow and had to call a manager for twenty minutes. Dont know why I even bothered letting them know I was checking out.
Comfy beds, great breakfast
No lo cambio por ninguno
Siempre al nivel
The staff was nice, the room was clean.
The sink didn’t drain at all. The bathroom faucet was broken, there was foil on it and it took like 10 minutes to jiggle the knob to turn the shower on.
Needed a comfortable bed for the night because I had an early work day in the area and greentree inn really fit the bill! I got a full 9 hours of sleep which I don't even get at home most of the time - very clean and comfortable for the price.
the lights in the hallways outside are flickering and kind of spooky tbh but I didn't spend much time there so it was sort of irrelevant
Location, free parking
Our first room had mold in the shower and the room smelled weird. I asked for a new room and the shower was clean and everything was much better. There was no breakfast room but they did have grab and go coffee & limited food in the lobby.
Its location was close to the hospital where my mother was in for brain surgery.
There was mold in the bathroom, the appliances in the main room were leaking water, tv was cutting in n out, and lights weren’t working in the led bathroom mirror. Did not end up the night due to these conditions. No service and still charged a service fee.
Very well placed centralized location to Pasadena

nice work
very nice
The GreenTree is a short pleasant walk to Old Town. Room surprisingly big, and clean. Biggest fridge I've seen in a hotel room, even including a little freezer that can accommodate two to four frozen Trader Joe's dinners (or Whole Foods, which is just a block away). I liked being able to get raisin bran, apples, or bagels (or popcorn!) in the lobby whenever I wanted. The evening front desk manager was very friendly and helpful, easily bumping the rating to a 9 all by himself.
Some of the old plastic finishes were worn and blistered. Though the room was very quiet, when the wind hit just right it made an odd whistling noise--no biggie! Took a moment to realize the shower mechanism was incorporated into the bathtub faucet. As far as I could tell, local broadcast channels were not included on the TV package, so I watched the Olympics on my laptop.
Amazing staff! Shout out to Patrick he was very accommodating and went above and beyond!
Blinds were slashed and anyone was able to see from the outside
Review is not in regards to hotel but instead booking.com. They canceled my reservation and still charged me.
Booking.com is not a reliable website. Booking.com canceled my stay then proceeded to charge me.
受付の方々の接客も明るくて素晴らしかった 駅も近く徒歩3分ほど、近くにスーパーもある ホテル1階の南側付近に自販機があり飲み物、スナックやカップラーメンが売られている
しいていうなら部屋が暗い
The location was really good and quiet. The room was comfortable with a working shower, bathroom and TV, plus a mini fridge and iron board. They did have a small pool and parking free. For the price, it was safe and pretty clean.
The free breakfast was cold cereal and bagels, but coffee was good. No chairs to sit and TV not on. Its right in the lobby, so could be better. The staff was helpful, but no place to sit around pool either. Check in a little tight, but parking down below.
parcheggio
colazione molto scadente, non c'era piu niente nonostante fossero le 7 di mattina, per di più all'aperto
Close to Whole Foods & Trader Joe's & close to the light rail station. Ideal lodge for Rose Parade
Very wet weekend
Staff, Location.
Room did have a peculiar odor.
It is close to Pasadena Convention Center and to the metro station. The room has a built-in hair dryer.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was marvelous. I could have used a blanket the first night but there was none in the room. However, when I asked for one the next day, it was provided. The sink had no stopper so I lost an earring but when I asked the next day maintenance fixed the sink. There was no restaurant or hot breakfast, apparently a fire had destroyed the restaurant, so breakfast was just cold bagels and cereal. But there was a toaster, coffee was provided all day, and I managed. I liked that they offered popcorn. And the location is great.
The notice that housekeeping came only every three days is ridiculous. I do not want to live for three days with wet towels, over flowing waste baskets and no change of sheets. But when I asked for fresh towels, they were provided without a problem. I got the impression the staff were all new, and they did their best to do a good job but the systems were still uncertain.
Everything
Excellent hotel, every time, extremely friendly and responsive staff make the experience seamless. The rooms are simple, but perfectly prepared, parking is easy, simple but solid breakfast, excellent front office staff.,
Comodidad
When breakfast was served upstairs it was fine. When they moved it downstairs it was not adequate. At times they had no coffee. No one was reallyanagonge the breakfast area
It stated in the room that they would not clean for three days. Our reservation was for five days. I had to go and get towels myself and they NEVER cleaned the room. I even went and asked them twice. It was gross. So I left towels outside my door and went and got towels twice. They said they were short staffed but it was ridiculous.
Bed was comfortable
Rooms were old and dirty
We had a nice overnight stay at the Green Tree! The staff was excellent and the room was spacious and tidy!
Parking was a little crowded.
Close to where the Rose parade started!
Mold in bathtub caulk. Main Light in room flashed on and off so couldn’t use.
It was close to where where we needed to be.
Heater didn’t work. Elevators not accessible from parking garage. Unable to heat the room. Washer and dryer non functional.
Good location, free parking, easy check in/out
Breakfast is really bad, room dirty ( found a pair of socks in the nightstand), bed very soft
Location was excellent for our needs. Sheets & towels were clean. Lots of parking. Accomodated is with a handicap room. Having a free breakfast was nice.
The floors were dirty. They said it was the cleaner that rubbed off the finish on the floors and said they would mop it. Did not seem it was mopped because it was still dirty after we came back in the evening. The A/C was set in Centigrade, not Fahrenheit. Was too cold so we raised the temp but it reset after a few hours so had to raise temp again in the middle of the night. Mirror lights had burnt out LED lights so was not very bright in bathroom.
