Got PCN ticket for going through the bus lane, the sign post was not good going into the hotel carpark.

Beds were old and uncomfortable Bathroom had no hot water the times I went to shower paid for an early check in to use the shower - no hot water, went to the funeral that I was in Wales for which was over an hours drive away, returned 5 hours later, went for dinner in the hotel, went to shower before bed and the water was still not hot. Was hot the next morning. Room was super noisy, was with my mum and we were placed on the noisy side of the building. Considering I paid around €330 for the night with the early check in and late check out and a room upgrade - would have thought we have been given the option to a quite room.

The Location was perfect! The Staff (in particular 'Zsafia') was so helpful and happy to go the extra mile in making our stay so pleasurable. Exceptional service! It was my Birthday treat to go to Cardiff and we will definitely be back to stay at the Marriott Hotel.

We couldn't fault the hotel at all. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that, but if it was anything as good as the rest of the service we received then full marks! The Staff really made it for us! We felt that we really 'mattered'. A very big THANK YOU

Location was good and was nice to have a bar in the hotel

Not impressed with the additional payments they tack on like wifi. If I am paying for a room I think asking for payment for wifi is not acceptable. The payment for parking was also very high.

The rooms are dated, the beds extremely uncomfortable. The description of the rooms does not meet the reality

Beds very uncomfortable Both toilets in reception closed at same time for cleaning ! Man came into room at 8.55 to complete room service on Saturday morning, said he knocked but we did not hear him and I was sat up in bed reading !

Beds were incredibly uncomfortable, very lumpy. The shower was very small and had a curtain that stuck to you whilst you shower. Not very hygienic.

Aircon could be better

The location is brilliant - plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. The hotel has its own car park which is very convenient. Cost is £18 a day. The outside seating area is a great place for a drink and a snack and to meet friends. The refurbished restaurant and bar area is lovely. The room was clean.

The room was a little disappointing. It had been refurbished since our last visit but it was small and had no storage apart from the wardrobe and one small bedside drawer. Not even a desk to put things on. We were staying for 2 nights so left everything in the case that wasn’t on a hanger so it was ok. But if you were staying longer it was a little spartan considering the price we paid. Far more luxurious rooms in the price bracket within walking distance of this hotel so we’ll probably look elsewhere for our next stay. The over bath shower was difficult to operate. We had a snack on the terrace which was very disappointing. We ate elsewhere for the rest of our stay.

Very good location. We trained in so was very convenient. Room was spacious. Why do hotels only ever have one suitcase holder when almost always there will be two people in the room? Very helpful reception staff. A great place to stay. Thank you.

Bed was hard, no milk on arrival for tea and only one teabag.

Check-in a bit of a trial. I'd paid for an upgrade but check-in staff not aware, so had to be changed. Luckily I also checked they knew I'd paid for breakfast - turned out they didn't and nearly got charged extra. Made to feel a little like I was giving them extra work in making the changes. Not the best welcome to the hotel.

Having to pay £30 early check in charge I requested an early check in when I booked several days before and I know Rooms were available due to checking availability on Sunday 9th August I find this very disappointing as we always choose the Marriott when we stay in CardiffSwansea but I think we will look at other options for the future

We took our dogs and the staff were so kind to them! Really impressed that the dogs could come in the bar area for breakfast.

Paint peeling in the bathroom and damp above the shower. Fire alarm alert kept going off every time we had a shower, must have been faulty. Received 2 phone calls from reception to state the alarms were going off but sent no one to fix the fault.

The reception, breakfast staff & cleaning staff are amazing but, the staff in the bar at the weekend were unhelpful. I was burning in the sun on Sunday 9th August & when requested to put sun canopy up I was told to ask other people if this was ok. There was nowhere outside to shade so we left the bar & went over the road to a local bar for a comfortable drink
