Loved the waterfront location and your patio bar. All staff from housekeeping to front desk were polite, friendly and helpful - a big plus.
Perhaps entertainment on the patio - not loud - just laid back guitar???
The location was perfect. We were able to see Kingston at our own pace and book outings easily. The breakfast was ok, hot and replenished when needed. A thank you to Cheryl who served us!!
We couldn't change our room to lakeview because we booked with a third party so that was a negative for us. You need to look into being able to make a change as their website showed a picture of the lake and didn't identify the view! It would have been nice to have a box of tissues and small writing pad. These are the norms when we've travelled. The balcony as dirty so we didn't sit there much, despite the rain it was was a bonus for us.
The view from our third floor room was beautiful. The short walking distance from our room to restaurants and tourist sites was great.
The location was great
The waterfront view was lovely
The location was great. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable
The view - I had the parking lot balcony view. Typically, would not have complained but at least clean the balcony. It was full with dust and cobwebs. The shower is not modern and for the price, I would except an updated version
Liked location
Bed sheets still damp, we were a mother and daughter travelling together and our room on main floor, looking at parking and entrance with curtains that did not close completely - gap where you can see out and in - luckily we brought extra hair clips. One of the keys didnt work on first try. Nothing included with stay.
breakfast incl please every one
The location is wonderful.
The only thing was the balcony. We understand how difficult it is to keep it perfectly clean as the spiders and bugs can make a mess around the screens very quickly.
Great service
Location was great. Room very nice...shower was awesome...and loved the balcony.
Little too expensive.
Nice location qnd clean room
Nothing

Great location overlooking harbour. Easy parking. Lovely view from room.
Could have been cleaner. Bed linen needs replacing.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would like to share some feedback that I hope will be helpful to the management and staff. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the beautiful view and, especially, the veranda. The veranda is a lovely space where guests can sit, relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. The view is truly beautiful, and I could see myself spending a lot of time there. However, I noticed that there were quite a few spider webs around the veranda, including on the railings and other areas where guests sit and spend time. There were also some small insects around the area. Unfortunately, because of the amount of spider webs, I was not able to enjoy the veranda as much as I had hoped. I understand that a hotel located close to nature will naturally have insects and spiders, and I also understand that it is not realistic to expect the area to remain completely free of them. However, I believe that including the veranda, railings and surrounding areas in the daily cleaning routine could make a significant difference. Regular removal of the webs, together with consistent cleaning and maintenance, would likely help reduce the problem considerably over time. I am mentioning this as constructive feedback because I genuinely enjoyed the location and the view. In fact, the veranda was one of the features that attracted me to this hotel in the first place. With a little more attention to this area, I believe the experience could be even better for future guests. Apart from this issue, everything else was very good. The staff were polite, respectful, attentive and welcoming. I appreciated the way the team treated guests and how willing they were to assist when needed. I have also worked in the hotel industry myself, so I understand that maintaining a property, especially one surrounded by nature, is not always easy. I know that housekeeping and maintenance teams have many responsibilities and that some issues cannot be eliminated completely.
Shout out to JAS and his assistant as the front desk - Treated us so well.
Great location!
Comfortable beds!
Great location right on the waterfront and access to restaurants and shops.
I don’t always like paying for parking, but I get it. Would also like a little more variety with the buffet breakfast.
Zweckmäßig. Leider nicht sehr sauber. Die Lage am Hafen führt dazu, dass es sehr laut ist.
Nicht sehr sauber. Recht laut.
Great location
Air conditioning was really really loud and we had to turn it off
Everything
Their was a small issue with a double charge on the security deposit but the manager was kind enough to help me and reasured me itcwill be resolved. Their was a problem with electrical on one side of the room. Light, tv and coffee machine thaks to the quick respons of the maintenance staff all was resolved quickly. Some family members where jalouse of my stay and booked a long week-end escape to your hotel for next weekend.
Close to Ferry and restaurants
View was not what we order. Online pics are very misleading. You can hear other rooms in the bathroom. Called front desk numerous time with no one picking up. Value of money for hotel was terrible. Will never go back to this hotel.
was put on the bottom floor rehab room. Housekeeping dirty water pail and mop sat in the hallway by our room from when we arrived..overnight..still there next morning along beside a used dirty plate and fork and used wine bottles.Discusting.....will never book there again. Don't go !!
Location was excellent.
Our room was on the 2nd floor looking at the parking lot. Disappointing. Asked to be moved and was told no.
Great location!
Dated and could use some upgrading
Perfect location in Kingston, close to all good bars and restaurants and if you plan to walk on the Wolfe island ferry it’s right there
The seal around the room door wasn’t great. You can hear any noises in the hallway.
Location
Disappointing stay. The balcony doors were noticeably dirty and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned properly. Better attention to cleanliness would greatly improve the guest experience.
Did not have breakfast. Location was perfect could walk to restaurants.
The patio was dirty, bird droppings on the floor, watched a person next to me ask to have it cleaned up and nothing was done. Person cover the droppings with paper napkins.
Nous avons apprecié notre séjour, lit tres confortables, les chambres sont grandes. Bien situé.
Les serviettes n'étaient pas propre et plusieurs poils dans la douche à notre arrivée.
Did not have breakfast or any food on site.
Small elevators.
Location is great, breakfast was good, bathroom was renovated.
Old carpet smell was there when we checked into the room first as AC was not ON.
Excellently located at the water where the cruises start. Good food at reasonable prices on the terrace. Good size room. Guest laundry
Has a but of a dated feel to it. Indoir pool available, rather small, always out of towels
Good position e good breakfast
the smell in the room, not so clean, in some point dirty; the entire hotel should be renovated.
When I booked through Booking.com, my receipt stated that breakfast was included in the $421.21 cost for one night. When breakfast came, front desk said it was not included. Luckily I keep everything and they agreed to cover breakfast after I showed them this statement on my booking receipt.
No one mentioned (until check-in) that parking was an additional $30.00 per night! I was already paying $421. for one night. That's a lot, already. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and front desk (young lady was not overly friendly) told me to come back in an hour. Our shower door wouldn't stay closed, kept opening, causing water to leak onto the floor if not constantly holding it shut.
This place is to avoid at all costs!!!! They charge you extra for a room with a water view and a balcony that you cannot use since it is dirty and full of mosquitoes. AC is old and noisy. Breakfast (not included in the initial price either) was also very bad. The only thing they did when I complained was to tell me to give them a bad review!
Great waterfront location and an excellent breakfast, making it a super convenient base for exploring the area.
Housekeeping for the balcony area could be improved. Also, there was no switch to turn off the balcony light, which made it a bit annoying at night when trying to sleep.
Not enough editing staff for the patio area.

Aria condizionata rumorosa
The location was great especially travelling with my elderly parents.
The breakfast buffet food was lukewarm warm and we were down by 7:00 for breakfast.
Emplacement parfait et les lits super confortables
Super bien placé! Propre, confortable!
C’était cher
Room was second floor all good no blow dryer went called front desk taken care of immediately and delivered very nice room and service.
Potential early check in would be nice but not necessary as we were able to park and wait. Very considerate
Hotel restaurant and Bar staff were Amazing ! Thank-you.
L emplacement
Air conditionné très bruyante
location of the rooms. courtesy of the staff
did not like to have to pay $30 a night parking.
Great location, loved the room and balcony.
I did not like the spiders on the balcony. The spiders even made homes in the patio chairs and mini table. Prevented me from enjoying the balcony that I paid a lot for. Not cool.
Beautiful location, easy to park and walk around. Staff were all very nice in hotel and restaurant. Food was good and children even got to enjoy their meals free of charge which was a nice surprise.
The bathtub was not very clean
Location
All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, facilities were clean and well maintained. Our room was one of the higher-end options with a balcony overlooking the river, and it was surprisingly relaxing to sit out there and watch the Wolfe Island Ferry come out and in
My only qualm is the fact that the shower head in our bathroom needed to be positioned a certain way in order to prevent ALL of the water from pouring out of the shower LOL
Good room (Queen with 2 beds); we had hoped to swap for a 1- bed King, but reception said they were fully booked and that anyway it would cost extra. Strange, receptionist (Malik) was more arrogant than helpful. Location great, 3 mins walk to the tour boat jetty. Public transport challenging mainly due to the Downtown bus stand renovation; we asked a driver which bay line 2 (train station) left, and 2 minutes later we saw line 2 departing from another bay around the corner 300 m further! So had to take a cab... Balconies and river view nice (90' angle). Nice buffet breakfast for 22$. Main reason why we did not feel the HI level of quality, next to reception, was the whole motel like setup of the building. All quite bare bones. But they were renovating, that influences the feeling.
We like the location and the view of the Harbour.
The lights on the balcony stayed on all night and all the bugs kept coming in. We should be able to control our own lights. Also there was a very loud wedding above us and we could not get to sleep.
belle chambre , mais la vue sur le lac n'est pas extra , ca donne plutot sur une cale industrielle avec un bras d'eau..
Petit dejeuner pas terrible
The location of the hotel is excellent and there is plenty of parking attached to the hotel. Our room overlooked the waterway and it was large and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. There was some confusion over our room when we arrived which was quickly sorted out. It's a shame that we couldn't have early check in, but it was worth asking. It didn't stop us doing anything as they stored our luggage. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and all the staff were lovely. We hope to come back to Kingston as we didn't have enough time to do everything and we loved it! The three things we did manage to squeeze in: the Sunset Cruise, a Trolley Bus tour and a tour of the Keewatin passenger liner were amazing!
Nothing, although this was the most expensive accommodation we stayed in on our tour of Lake Ontario. If it had been a little bit cheaper we would have stayed longer. Kingston we will 100 percent be visiting again!
The location was amazing! Rooms were spacious and comfortable
The balcony was so filthy, we couldnt even sit outside! There were many bugs and it s clear that it has been cleaned in a while. They expect you to tip at breakfast, even though its included and self service! They hand you a bill at the end that says “paid” but tell you gratuity is not included!
Within walking distance to restaurants and attractions.
Right on the waterfront. A great location. The staff were very helpful and friendly
All good
Emplacement à proximité de l’embarcadère et du centre-ville
Les maiflys
being so close to things within 10 min walking. nice having a balcony with view of water. nice big shower..lots of room
wondered why you never heard a vent running when having a shower, fogged up mirror. I almost seemed the bathroom sink when you turned faucet on water eassily spilled on counter. It was like faucet wasn,t long enough
Location
We were supposed to stay at the corner and the bigger room. However, the substrate room was smaller and not clean. They gave us free parking, drinks, and breakfast but we are not happy about this experience with them.
The hotel is located downtown on the water (Lake Ontario), very close to many downtown amenities. Our king room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We were very satisfied with the in-house restaurant (the Wharf and Feather), such that we ate both dinners there, first night on the patio and second night indoors (on account of bad weather). The reason for just an average rating is this. The occasion for us being there was my wife's nursing reunion, for which husbands were not invited. This meant time on my own, some of which I had intended to watch TV (golf, baseball and the Belmont Stakes). Unfortunately, there was a malfunction of the TV - it could not bring regular channels, although I could access my bill and pay online. A service person (Mohammed) came to the room and attempted to remedy the situation, without success, but he certainly did try (we were present). Interestingly, the couple with whom we had dinner that evening had the same problem with their TV, leading us to question how widespread the problem might have been. For anyone planning to stay here and intending to watch TV, the first thing I would do is check out the TV before you unpack.
This hotel is in a really great location. Nothing too special about the hotel itself or the rooms, but the harbor view was nice, and the location was super convenient to walk to restaurants! Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
Excellent location right on the waterfront with beautiful views and easy access to downtown Kingston. The facility was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The room was spacious, quiet, and well equipped, making for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety of options and friendly service. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would gladly stay at the Holiday Inn Waterfront in Kingston again
The hotel overall was excellent, with a great waterfront location, friendly staff, and beautifully renovated facilities. However, one aspect of the room design did not work well for us. The bathroom and closet shared a single sliding door, which meant that when the closet was closed, the bathroom was exposed, and when using the bathroom or shower, the closet area was exposed. It felt awkward and did not provide the level of privacy or functionality we expected. We mentioned this at check-in and were told it was a newly renovated room. While the renovation is attractive, this particular design feature may need to be reconsidered or improved for guest comfort.
great location food good beds comfy staff friendly. breakfast lovely
الموقع ممتاز . والموظفين جميعهم دون استثناء جدا رائعين ويعملون باخلاص الجميع هذا لاحظته بالفندق
تهالك بعض الاجهزه بالغرف
Loved the location, and the view from our room.
Did not like the extra parking fees $30 and that the breakfast buffet was $22 per person for the same quality food that is included most everywhere we stay
Gute Lage, sehr gutes Frühstück, gutes Fitnesstudio.
Kein Housekeeping in einem der gebuchten Zimmer, für den Preis und vermeintlich 4 Sterne ein sehr übersichtliches und etwas günstig wirkendes Ambiente. Für die Schlichtheit zu teuer.
Well situated and very good service at front desk and restaurant
A bit too expensive for what you get
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past few years and brought several friends and family two years ago. At that time, experience was less than optimal. Parking (which you pay for) was difficult (one night could not find a space) and also not recognized at IHG members. Not a big deal, but folks in our party were given complimentary breakfast vouchers (hadn't booked through IHG for years). We weren't recognized as IHG member or given vouchers. When I asked, was told we need to be members - have been members for years. This year, we decided to give it one more try and I'm so glad we did. Check in was great with follow up texts the next two days. Wharf and Feather folks were amazing, too. We will happily go back and recommend!
Only the buffet food
1. Staff behaviour for check in not allowed until 4.30 pm. 2. Balcony was private but not clean. 3. Overpriced when compared to delta hotels much much better. 4. Crib was not goven with so many requests. 5. Bad behaviour of staff when asked for tooth paste and toothbrush for multiple family members but the staff gave only 1 tooth paste and brush. 6. Has taken 100 cad on hold and did not return yet.
1. The location on the waterfront close to downtown Kingston. 2. That it is pet friendly. The dog water bowls in the entrance to the lobby were very welcoming and gave a friendly vibe. 3. Friendly concierge, helpful staff. 4. Amenities - loved the iron and ironing board in the room, the microwave, the pool, the fitness centre, the guest laundry, the breakfast included (breakfast was nice, but not piping hot).
1. The dirty windows on the patio doors. 2. The goose poop right outside the patio doors, on the grass directly outside and on all the walkways. Yuck. 3. The hair in the bathroom sink when I walked in. 4. The smell in the room. 5. No screen on the patio door to let in fresh air. 6. The dried drop of blood on the pillow case. 7. The extra charge of $30 each for my two Cavalier King Charles spaniels. 8. The extra $30 charge for parking. 9. That the breakfast sausages and bacon weren't hot in their serving dishes at 7 a.m. when we were the first ones there for breakfast. 10. No fan in the bathroom, no bathroom shower mat.
The location is great and the beds were good as was the shower.
Felt that desk staff could have been more accommodating. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our bags but they did not offer to call when the room was ready. We came back a second time close to 4 p.m. and the room was still not ready but they said we were on the 5th floor with a good view. When we came back at 9 p.m. they put us on the third floor not the 5th floor. The second night our keys would not work so we had to go down to the desk again at 9 p.m. to fix that issue. Very disappointing for a Holiday Inn
Location was good
Room was very smelly, bath tub was not white from dirt, almost grey
Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, included a microwave which was very useful.
It was Mayfly time of year other than that everything was perfect
I arrived on Monday and still here till Thursday. But not a great experience so far. When we arrived after a long days travelling form the uk, we found out our room had been downgraded. They offered us 5000 points but I don’t generally travel much for work so this wouldn’t help me so I asked if they could do free breakfast so they did. Turns out it was only one coupon for one breakfast which nowhere near covers the cost of the room. Dead flies all over the window sills in the corridors. Called reception and no answer. This happened on several occasions. I called room service and no answer so had to call reception and again no answer. To the point where I was close to walking down to speak to reception but finally got through to someone. Overall, would not stay again.
The staff, the lobby, the dining area and the reception
The rooms are just regular motels
Friendly staff ,clean and comfortable
Cold shower at pool ! Sign says take warm shower 😂
Extremely disappointed. Upon arrival our room was not ready. The cleaning lady came to set our room up n just took out dirty towels....fluffed the pillows n remade the beds without changing the sheets. I was mortified! I asked if she will be changing the sheets n dhe said "NO" My husband went to change our room at the front desk. We did get another room but we're not pleased by its condition. It was Mayfly season n their were dead flies all inside the patio door tracks n our carpet had toothpaste all over it outside the bathroom door. I have pics to prove it! Just discussed!
Le service beaucoup de chambres grand parking restaurant tout étais parfais
Une chose que j ai moin aimer le prix du stationnement très élever et dehors en plus,j ai fais d autres hôtel, pas cher comme cela.
Nice, friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was delicious!
Not a thing!
The staff was friendly, breakfast correct and the view of the marina was absolutely beautiful also the late check out
The sound insulation could be improved as sime noise could be heard from outside
Exceptional location, clean, pleasant staff, good restaurant on site, great pool for the kids.
There was no ventilation in the toilet, which was challenging with 4 people.
Very disappointed We went as a bus tour with reservations and we had to wait a long time to get checked in At breakfast time We were not allowed in the restaurant we had to be shuffled off to another room with very few options which made us feel like we were not welcome at your hotel We had sent notice of gluten free and dairy free needs and none were available on the first day On the second day we still had to ask for many items but still no gluten free toaster No fresh fruit we had to ask for everything bananas Peanut butter Dairy free milk Gluten free bread Still no gluten free and dairy free items today No gluten free cereal at all
We stayed here for a quick getaway to explore Kingston. This hotel is in an excellent location right on the waterfront. Easily walkable to the wharf and many restaurants. Staff were friendly and attentive. The ladies at the breakfast buffet were nice. The food was fresh with good variety. Rooms were clean, comfortable and good amenities like full size Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and hand soap. It was nice to have a view of the water from the balcony with chairs and table and there was a screen door so you could get fresh air without the mayflies coming into the room. The paid outdoor parking is convenient but was pricey. There is a pool, gym and restaurant on site as well.
Room was ok, but they did not give us the room we have booked as it was in the picture . It was completely different area and the other side of the building. They did not put proper toiletries . Not even proper water bottles as required for 3 people .
They should have put some extra stuff in the fridge which was empty. They should have double checked the toiletries before allotting it to us. They should have answered our call right away and fulfilled the request we made at that time.
Check-In was quick and easy upon arrival. Staff was friendly. Location is absolutely perfect in downtown Kingston. Tons of shops and restaurants nearby in walking distance. We ate breakfast at the restaurant - $22 per person for basic buffet, but food and service was good. We had drinks at the hotel bar patio and it was a lovely setting and super enjoyable on a sunny afternoon - people watching and seeing the boats come in and out. Parking was $30 per day. Room has a balcony overlooking the harbour which was nice. Unfortunately, the room is very dated and needs some repair. Bathroom door was a sliding door, but had no track on the bottom, so it basically just flopped in and out. Zero water pressure in the showerhead. It pretty much trickled out no matter what setting. I had to rinse the shampoo out of my hair with the tap! Floors a bit dirty. Patio dirty. Overall, I would definitely return as the location is top notch!
I made my reservation through BOOKING.COM and Front desk refused to give me an official email since this was paid to Booking.com. However, booking.com's webside says ONLY HOTEL can release the official invoice. I am being bounced between these two entities and they pass the task to each other. Unfortunately I need official receipt for my EXPENSE report to Company.
Very friendly staff. Great view of the harbour
The coffee in the room 😞
The hotel made an administrative error. Despite my (multiple e-mails) proof that I had a room reserved for 2 nights, they automatically checked me out from my room. My daughters and I tried to enter the room unknowingly, and couldn’t access our things. I was told I was checked and leaving. I had no communication from the hotel that I was supposed to leave after 1 night. The girl Alisha, at the desk was checking in people travelling alone in front of me while telling me I had to leave. My daughters were beside themselves not understanding why we being told to leave. We were travelling with other families and it was extremely embarrassing and we weren’t able to enjoy the trip anymore. I spent 3 hours on the phone with IHG, multiple times the phone line cut, no one called me back despite me having provided my phone number. The manager Kristine Gomez has no common sense on how to direct a situation. She and Alisha were heartless and cold. They are under qualified to be taking care of guests.
Die Lage am See ist sehr gut. Wir waren nur zum Übernachten dort, daher kann ich nicht alles beurteilen.
Shower head spraying and leaking all over Have your cleaning people report plumbing issues and maintenance staff FIX THEM
The beds were very comfortable and the staff were very good at keeping the hockey players and parents from running up and down the hallway.
The price per room was the highest we have ever paid. It was almost as much as what we paid per night at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City the night before.
Location is central
Noisy guests. But hotel tried to address it. Walks too thin also.
The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the use of the pool.
Trying to eat in the dining room was near impossible. The main entrance doors were constantly open to in/out traffic and the freezing cold wind just blew through the dining area. As well, there was a dearth of staff in the dining room... only two at lunch on Saturday... due to either illness or just not showing up... the staff that was there did a terrific job ...but the wait was long and we were freezing. It's sports playoff season this time in Canada... and I would have thought that the hotel business would have been better prepared.
Staff very nice, very clean, close to downtown restaurants and shopping. Being downtown Kingston's waterfront is beautiful!
When we arrived there was no water. Water never came back on until the next morning. They were very apologetic. These things happen and was out of their control. They compensated us with free parking, free breakfast and a complimentary night in the future. Still had a fun girls night out!!
Location. Beds are very comfortable.
Staff indifferent, dismissive. Not helpful at all. Mold in the room along the ceiling. Water suddenly off while trying to get ready to check out so I couldn't shower or brush my teeth before leaving. Expensive parking in a lot that required dragging suitcases through mud, potholes and large puddles. Couldn't pull up to door because of workers.
Location was nice for walking distance
We were told we had to pay for breakfast buffet 22$ each even though when we booked it said it was included. Huge let down. We werent expecting to go walking around in the cold to find somewhere to pay for breakfast.
Disappointing Stay – Not Hockey Team Friendly We stayed here for the Kingston hockey tournament and were very disappointed. The hotel showed little tolerance for kids, despite actively booking hockey teams and charging $700 per room for the weekend. We were spoken to for simply standing in the hallway outside our room with jackets on while heading to dinner. The following day, we were approached about a noise complaint shortly after returning from a hockey game—despite barely being back at the hotel. The kids were being kids, remained respectful at all times, and were always under parent supervision. The constant reprimands and being watched made us feel unwelcome. If this hotel does not want families or teams, they should not book youth hockey teams. This had really taking away from our kids experience and this is really what hockey is all about. Would not recommend this hotel if you are staying with a hockey team.
