Its great to see that works are happening to upgrade but it would have been good to know before booking or offered a refund. We appreciated the alternative arrangement for the pool but it was a big inconvenience and that was the main reason we booked here.

The people. Saravanan and Irfan and the other gentleman at the reception whose name escapes me at the moment made our stay special! Having said that - It's very hard reviewing hotels in Singapore because one spends so little time in them. This time though we had an excellent meal at the Indian restaurant which was excellent - and singlehandedly handled by Mr. Saravanan, who did an excellent job, catering to our whole group of tired, crazy shoppers!

The hotel did inform us that there were renovations being undertaken during our stay there, so we weren't surprised when there was noise of heavy machinery working - in all honestly, this wasn't much of an issue because we were not at the hotel for many hours of the day!

The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to help. Rooms were lovely and the breakfast was very good.

Our first room we got, started to smell with chemicals, this because of the renovation, which was ongoing, without any questions they switched our room. The first room had a great view, but the second one did not have great view.

Pulizia, posizione, gentilezza. Non si e’ potuto usufruire della piscina perché in ristrutturazione. Ci hanno offerto upgrade della stanza, uso dell’executive lounge anche per colazione, uso della piscina del vicino hotel Concorde + un voucher per consumo interno all’hotel.

Swimming pool under reconstruction with option to use one in a nearby hotel. During daytime the reconstruction noise was audible throughout the hotel. The hotel did inform us a few days ahead about that, though. FX ATM machine offers rates 20% (!) below the market rate, reminded me of those at Prague airport.

The location to Orchard Road, eateries and the subway was good.

The new beds were horribly hard (like sleeping on a rock) and unbeknown at the time of booking a room with double beds, did not realise they are smaller in size in Singapore - equate to a king single in other parts of the world which made sleeping arrangements challenging. Was only advised 3 days prior to arrival swimming pool had been closed for renovations. Interesting project management choice during the hotter / humid months of the year. However arrangements were made to access another hotels swimming pool approximately 5 minute walk away.

Property is conveniently located, approx 30 min taxi ride from Changi (around 30 Singaporean dollars). Staff were all extremely helpful, the rooms had just been refurbished and very nice and clean. Location is nearby to many shops and restaurants. Buffet breakfast was a hit with the kids.

The swimming pool was under renovation meaning we had to walk to a nearby hotel for pool access, however this was well arranged by staff. Room was good but slightly cramped for a family of 4 plus luggage, I would probably book a larger room next time.

My friends & 1 had a wonderful Hi-Tea session at Hari’s Lounge & Bar. The staff Sasi Reddy was very attentive & friendly & the food was good.

Qua prijs kwaliteit verhouding wel aan de dure kant voor alleen een standaard slaapkamer.

Le personnel a été compréhensif et réactif pour le changement de chambre suite aux bruits extérieurs nocturnes. Du coup, nous nous sommes trouvés dans une chambre donnant sur l'avant de l'hôtel (côté autoroute) qui était beaucoup plus silencieuse pour nous. L'hôtel se situe à proximité de la rue Orchard et de ses centres commerciaux, ainsi que du métro et un bus qui mène à l'aéroport. Juste à côté de l'hôtel, il y a une laverie ouverte 24h/24 (même si la journée me semble plus rassurant), très propre et il y a un personnel sur place pour vous aider (notamment à mettre les vêtements dans le sèche linge une fois que le cycle du lave linge est terminé)

Nous étions dans une chambre qui donnait sur l'arrière de l'hôtel, bruyant la nuit, en raison de la présence de clubs (nous l'avons su après) Le lit double est étroit pour 2 personnes et rebondit lorsque l'autre personne se retourne, ce qui est inconfortable

Excellent hotel, the rooms were new and staff could not be friendlier. We were afforded a late check out and assistance. The location is very convent and easy to access transport options.

Noisy nightclub nearby. We booked (with free cancellation) mid 2025 for a stay in Jul 2026. No mention of renovations was made until a few days before our arrival and sometime after our free cancellation period had closed. The works started in January 2026 so plenty of opportunity to tell us before we confirmed/paid for our booking. The website also said snacks would be available in the executive lounge pretty much all day. Unfortunately this is/was not the case. None of these were major issues, but disappointing nonetheless.

We had a great stay at Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre with our family. We were allowed to stay in one room with our three children, which made our trip much more convenient. The Executive Lounge was a nice bonus, offering tasty snacks, good drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere. The pool was also great and our kids really enjoyed it. What truly stood out was the exceptional staff. During our stay, our son slipped while entering the elevator. A staff member saw what happened, and the next day we found a lovely surprise waiting in our room: a box of delicious macarons for him. It was such a thoughtful gesture!

Gym is a bit small. Renovation is in progress and is necessary.

The exclusive lounge was really good and the staff was really nice and kind and I would comeback again

Nothing was too much for the staff. They were so helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and made up fresh every day. The pool area was also fantastic and lovely clean towels and water provided made it feel very luxurious.

It’s a bit of a walk from the water but very central for shopping.

Construction works to be out the room between 10am to 6pm. Booked double double and the beds are small for hotel standards (pillows doesn’t even fit side by side).

We travel extensively but felt this was very overpriced for what it was. Breakfast cost extra ontop of the already overpriced hotel room and was average. The room itself was clean but old, tired and smelt stale. Wouldn’t stay here again

​The location of this property is absolutely stellar. It sits right in the heart of the Orchard shopping arcade and food paradise, within easy walking distance to all the best malls Orchard Road has to offer. ​The hotel itself is definitely showing its age, but the front desk staff mentioned that they are currently in the middle of a renovation project. They did a fantastic job acknowledging my IHG rewards status; we were granted a late checkout and a highly appreciated room upgrade to a 1-bedroom suite. The suite was incredibly spacious with a classical luxury vibe that is typical of old-school Singapore hotels—a rare find nowadays. We also appreciated the included Nespresso pods in the room and ample supply of bottled water. However the room did have a few maintenance quirks. Upon entering, there was a strong chemical smell. We requested an air purifier, and to their credit, room service brought one to our door instantly. It helped clear the air a bit, and the staff assured us the scent was safe and normal for the property; not from recent fumigation. After further research, the smell was probably from the room fragrance mixed with some muskiness from the old carpets or trims. There were also a few small patches of mold in the shower and toilet area, which is likely endemic due to Singapore’s high humidity. A bigger issue for us was the shower drainage, which was a bit slow. Because the barrier between the shower door and the bathroom floor is quite low, water easily leaked out. Luckily, the housekeeping team provided plenty of towels, which we used to block the water seepage. ​Breakfast was another strong point of the stay. The egg station follows a great IHG system where you order using a card on your table, meaning there is completely no need to stand in a long line. While the overall buffet selection isn't as massive as some other hotels, most of the flavors were spot on, and the Indian section was impressively comprehensive. ​This stay originally warranted a solid 4-star rating due to the initial chemical like smell in the room, but I am bumping it up to a 5-star review solely because of the complimentary suite upgrade, the excellent late checkout perk, and the prompt service recovery by the staff. We will definitely recommend this property to others and won't hesitate to come back!

Poor communication, 2 days prior to travel, notification was sent about upgrade work between 10am to 6pm - be expected to be woken up by construction work at 10am. Double double size, don’t be fooled, it does not fit 4 people. It’s set up like twins, the pillows don’t lie side by side without one hanging off the bed. Stars are given to the hotel staff who are very tentative in providing customer service. But unfortunately it’s failure of the hotel management for not informing the guests of the real disruption to the stay until it’s too late and payment is cleared.

The Holiday Inn Singapore is centrally located, within easy reach of all major attractions and malls. The staff are friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the chats, the smiles, the care and entertainment. The hotel staff gave us a taste of the friendly atmosphere and welcoming culture in Singapore. The hotel is beautiful. The lobby area has a luxuriuous feel, the gym and pool on the top floor of the hotel are wonderfully private. Of course there is also service up by the pool area. Our room was lovely and quiet and the room service excellent. We did make use of the buffet breakfast option. This was quite good.

There was nothing not to like. There was minor construction noise which the hotel warned us about before booking. It was so little noise, we barely noticed.
