There are few additional costs while checking in. Malaysia Tourism Tax and one more. They were not documented properly in our receipt. We got it checked and validated from reception so that got sorted.

When I pulled back the duvet, I was shocked to find blood stains on the duvet and pillow, as well as dirt/stains on the bed. I immediately called the reception to report the issue, but unfortunately, there was some misunderstanding. A cleaner was eventually sent to our room, but instead of addressing the issue, he initially brought us a brown blanket, saying that it was an extra blanket. We immediately explained that we were requesting for the stained bedding to be changed. However, he told us, “But it’s okay, right? The washing machine already cleaned it, so it’s clean. And I don’t have anything to remove it.” We explained that we were uncomfortable using bedding with visible blood stains and wanted it removed due to hygiene concerns. What disappointed us even more was his attitude afterwards. He appeared unhappy, said “okay,” and slammed the door when leaving. I understand that accidents can happen, but cleanliness and hygiene should be a basic standard for any hotel, and the way the situation was handled could have been much better. Overall, very disappointed with both the hygiene and the service.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Very Comfortable Stay I really enjoyed my stay at Jazz Hotel Penang. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I especially appreciated the large, spotless bathroom. For the price, I felt it was very good value for money. I also managed to use the gym, which was a nice bonus. What I enjoyed most was the quiet atmosphere and relaxing ambiance—it made it easy to unwind after a long day.

Disappointing Service Experience While I liked the room and overall ambiance, I was quite disappointed with the reception and housekeeping services. I had to call and follow up three times just to get extra bath towels. I also waited more than an hour for an iron and ironing board and we have to request again the next day since already too late. The room make-up service was another issue—I had to follow up before someone actually came to clean the room. The facilities and room itself are good, but the service response needs significant improvement. I hope the management can look into this, as better and more responsive service would make the overall guest experience much better.

I stay jazz hotel 4days 3 night this second time I comeing. 1 house keeping no good ( went i check in drink water only one .2nd day Itoil clean my room i went out . went back i saw housekeeping didn't clean i need wait in room he came just he coffee bag tea bag toilet he clean but night i going shower i saw one towel was toren colour was blue no white. Driffield preas body and head shampoo.3 days he housekeeper clean room good but he didn't clean cup I drink last night poor service. last year same jaazz hotel was super good. breakfast wise bad ⁸

The unit is clean, the staff was friendly and near Lotus for food and shops, onsite parking was also available at the property.

Our three-night family stay was extremely disappointing, especially as we were travelling with our young child and our room was never properly cleaned throughout the stay. Housekeeping knocked as early as 9 AM on the first morning and never returned, so the following day we personally went to the front desk to request room cleaning before heading out for brunch—only to return late at night to an untouched room, with the front desk officer seemingly having forgotten our request despite supposedly recording it. To make matters worse, calls to the front desk frequently went unanswered or took an unreasonably long time to be picked up even during non-peak hours, reflecting a serious lack of communication, follow-through, and basic guest service.

Great friendly staff and good breakfast

There was no pool bar and the lounge had been closed too.

朝食の時、お客さんが食べ終わった食器がなかなか片付けられていないから雑然としているし、片付けてもランチョンマットを交換しないため汚いことが多かった。お皿を下げてもらえるように頼んだ時、お皿にのっていたドレッシングがテーブルにかなり溢れたのに何も言わないでそのままにされた。朝食会場のスタッフはヌードルコーナーの人以外殆どの人が不親切で何も笑顔がないから寂しい気持ちになった。

Nos gustó la habitación, era muy cómoda y limpia. También el desayuno, es muy completo! La piscina en la azotea una maravilla. Tiene un centro comercial en frente con comida a muy buenos precios. En los bajos del hotel también hay alguna tiendecita y una lavandería.

Está un poco alejado de Georgetown, pero si buscas tranquilidad como nosotros es ideal.

The room 1905 seems to be a heavily used/frequently used room.this is the third time I have been allocated this room. It took 4 visits to the front desk to change key cards and an intervention by an actual key to over ride a dead tap and enter pad for the room. (The battery was flat). This room is next to the lift system and at times a “loud” room. The toilet poorly flushed and then failed entirely. (My previous visit, the same room sink was blocked and needed under sink access to drain. It was not fixed over my three day stay.) breakfast is also a rather tired attempt to impress, with few healthy items available like healthy fibre cereals, yoghurts and choice fresh seasonal fruit. The net curtains were torn. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and other facilities were fine.

Pool area only 4 chairs ?? Pool bar was never open even though it was advertised as open on select hour the restaurant was very disappointing as when for dinner and it was closed at 730pm even though it was advertised as open. The breakfast was also disappointing as hot food cold and selection was poor. Most of the staff seem very untrained. It was not what i would expect from a 4 star hotel

The room was nice, cozy and clean. The hotel is near to Lotus, which is very good and easy for us to get food.

Spacious room

During check in the receptionist has informed there will be no water from 1.30am till 3am. So I timed to be back in hotel in time and get shower. However when I want to take shower at 11.30pm the hot water was already cut. Turns out the maintenance has been started but not informed the guests at all!!!! Room looks old, need some renovation. The towels have stains on it, looks dirty. I wouldn't go back.

Very poor managment , middle of the night power went off , hotel keys were not working properly , breakfast time until 10:30 , but around 9:30 most things finished for eating and they dont refill.

Nicht buchen! Die Sauberkeit in diesem Hotel ist eine Katastrophe. Mein Zimmer war sehr abgerockt und marode. Es war deutlich verdreckt und gealtert: 1. Die Bettdecke, das Bettlaken und das Kopfkissen hatten allesamt einige Flecken, die darauf hindeuten, dass es schon benutzt wurde. Die Decke hatte sogar Urinflecken. 2. Das Badezimmer müffelt unangenehm 3. Der Fußboden sowie die Tische und Ablageflächen hatten klebrige Flecken, welche ich mit einem Desinfektionstuch entfernt habe. Dieses war danach sehr braun. 4. Die Lampen flackern und summen. Service Ich sah mich gezwungen, das Hotel nach einer Nacht zu verlassen. Die Managerin wurde zu dem Fall hinzugezogen und war sehr freundlich und nahm den Sachstand auf. Mir wurde ein Upgrade in die Executive Suite angeboten, welches ich ablehnte: Der Grund meines frühen Check-Outs war nicht nur das Zimmer, sondern auch das ungenießbare Frühstück (wo Sauberkeit übrigens auch nicht vorhanden war.) Die Managerin versicherte mir, dass ich mein gesamtes Geld wiederbekommen würde, obwohl ich darauf keinen Anspruch hätte. Danach passierte nichts mehr. Ich ließ den Fall über Booking.com eskalieren. Dort bekam ich dann nach ein paar Tagen die Info, dass das Hotel nicht bereit ist, eine Erstattung zu veranlassen. Warum also wurde mir das von der Hotelleitung versprochen? Ich empfehle jedem, einen großen Bogen um diese Unterkunft zu machen. Die Lage war auch nicht die beste.

Close to Straits Quay

It’s falling into disrepair. Safe doesn’t work, sliding door is stuck, vinyl flooring is popping up. In my most recent stay, there was a power outage in the middle of the night and the hotel reception was totally unreachable and they made no attempt to contact us. I finally made the walk down 20 over storeys to find the fire escape stair case stop at level 8! I exited through a door and ended up at the function room area. I had to walk across to the end of the floor to access another stair case that eventually brought me to the ground level. I shudder to think the amount of panic I will have if this is a real emergency. When I reach the lobby, the staff on duty asked me to wait this out in my car if I feel that my room is too stuffy. 🫩

My friend's Room didn't even hv water jug provided. Room safe box not working. Room aircond temp was erratic Breakfast coffee stations had broken down.

Jazz hotel kindly upgraded us to the suite so that our families could be close together. Rooms and lounge was quite spacious. Great customer service as well. Really liked the whole theme of the hotel, very unique Awesome location, conveniently located across from a really nice (shopping) mall and near the promenade

Would be worth management relooking at the breakfast menu. Even though there was a good buffet size, the quality/variety of the food could be improved on for international guests. This was our 2nd time in Malaysia, and compared to other 4* hotels we've been to, this buffet was our least favourite.

Room was clean and comfortable. With bathtub which was nice considering other hotels does not provide bathtub at similar price. Bed was comfortable. Staffs were nice as well. there is a convenience store downstairs that opens 24hours. With a Lotus supermarket just across the street. Convenient to buy snacks.

The swimming pool was not clean. Wanted to swim everyday of my stay but because of this I only swim once.

Pool requires cleaning and more chlorine as it had alge growth which would get stirred up when swimming. Door lock required 3 attempts before unlocking everytime.

I saw in booking.com properties photos, there was bath bomb provided but when I reach there, it is not available. So I cant really use the beautiful bath tub.

Great hotel in a convenient location. The room was spacious, and the large bathroom with a bathtub was a nice bonus. Comfortable stay.

The TV options were limited, with no YouTube or Netflix access. The fridge was not functioning at all. Although we reported it, the staff said all the hotel fridges worked the same way.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I had a very disappointing stay at Jazz Hotel. Upon check-in, we were given our room key cards and went up to the room, only to find that the key card didn’t work. We had to go all the way back to the lobby to get it fixed. The receptionist assured us the issue had been resolved, but when we returned to the room, the key card still didn’t work. This meant we had to make a second trip back to the lobby, which was extremely frustrating, especially after a long journey. After this happened twice, I requested a room change. The staff told me the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t change our room. However, I checked online immediately and found that rooms were still available for booking. This made me question whether I was being given truthful information, which was disappointing. Later that night, we discovered that the air-conditioning control wasn’t functioning. The room became uncomfortably hot because we couldn’t adjust the temperature. I called the reception three separate times before the maintenance team finally came to inspect the issue. Having to repeatedly follow up just to get assistance is not the level of service I expected. On top of that, the room cleanliness was below expectations. It did not feel well-maintained, which further affected our overall experience. Unfortunately, this stay was disappointing from check-in to the room condition. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves both staff responsiveness and room maintenance, as these are basic expectations for any hotel.

Der Lift war sehr schnell, Pool und Basic Gymausstattung ok auch wenn nicht genutzt, da erst ab 8 Uhr offen. Frühstücksbuffet hatte gute Auswahl. Schöne Aussicht aufs Meer und schönes Ambiente. Grosse Badewanne.

Lage etwas abseits von der Altstadt. Wasserinstallation problematisch. Am Nachmittag gab's kein kaltes Wasser im ersten Zimmer. Wasserspray für WC und Kühlschrank im zweiten Zimmer defekt.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and very comfortable bed. The pool, on the rooftop was excellent outdoor area to enjoy.

The room was not 4 star, the lino boards had many gaps that needed repair and quite a few areas needed touch up painting. One of the lifts was unserviceable for the duration of our stay. My expectations were raised based on the 4 star rating.

The hotel is clean and nice, good location and many shops nearby. Easy access to anywhere. Spacious rooms and clean toilets. Bell boys are helpful and polite.

They should provide better quality towels and the sink tap should change to a better design. It's too short, It wets the top of the sink. The tissue box on top of the sink gets wet. Parking is at 6 to 7 floors but it's okay as it's spacious to drive up and not narrow.

Comfy stay, spacious rooms, suited for a business traveller as it has a big study desk. Each rooms has a bathtub and separate shower area. Great!

The hotel cancelled our booking at the last minute on the very day we were supposed to check in. This is extremely unprofessional and caused us significant inconvenience, especially having to find alternative accommodation on such short notice. The service was very poor, and the lack of consideration for guests is unacceptable. I am very disappointed with the way this situation was handled.

First and foremost, my special requests were not fulfilled. I was informed that I needed to make additional requests and that there would be extra charges. After checking in, I called the front desk, and they confirmed the same. The room itself was only average. There were very limited complimentary beverages provided, and only one tea bag was available. If I wanted more, I had to request it. Even the bath bomb for the bathtub wasn’t provided in the room and had to be requested separately. Overall, the experience completely spoiled my day. I was really disappointed with the level of hospitality. It felt like every little amenity had to be requested, which made the hotel seem overly stingy. For the price paid, I expected a much better experience.The breakfast was also a letdown. The selection was quite limited, and it didn’t meet my expectations in terms of variety or quality. It certainly wasn’t something I looked forward to. Unfortunately, the staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming, which made the overall experience even more disappointing. Hospitality plays a big role in a hotel stay, and I didn’t feel valued as a guest. Overall, I did not have a pleasant stay at this hotel. From the unfulfilled requests to the lack of amenities, underwhelming breakfast, and unfriendly service, the experience fell far below my expectations. I left feeling disappointed, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The cups in the room are dirty and old I request to change them but they don't change it at all. So be sure to have your paper cup with you if you stay and also no smart tv Netflix or at less YouTube. The sheets are not clean I found some spots and hair in the bed. The mattress is firm and also the billow is stiff. The water fall down form the sink to the floor in bathroom and also thr draing is so slow and water full the bathroom when you use the jacksui they give only one bottle of water and every time you have to ask for water and the phone in the room is not working not blessed by my stay
