Great location in the city, clean and spacious and very comfortable.
The location was the only good thing about it
The room was very dusty, every surface was covered in dust or dirt. It was like the bed was laid and the rest of the room wasn’t wiped down. The hotel is very dated, the tub was peeling same as the mirror in the bathroom, has cracks on the edges. There are two microwaves available to use in the laundry room but it was very dirty. It had mosquitoes flying out of it when opened. The wifi is terrible, was difficult working with it, I had to use hotspot on my phone for teams call.
Low level of clearance toilet seat is almost blocked no enough lighting inside rooms coffee machine not clean. Ac is very noisy I almost not sleeping. Not recommended for anyone
The location is great and breakfast was very affordable. Also like that there are laundry facilities for guests.
It's s bit dated.
Outdoor pool and gym, friendly staff.
Noisy bedrooms, AC was old and noisy, windows let the noise through so you hear all the traffic noise and other guests with kids scream at 6:45am, cannot sleep properly in this hotel, foul water underneath the bath bottom and bad odour because of this in all the bedroom. Weak options for breakfast.
Nice
The pool outside close to early at 6 pm .

Bcp de tarifs sont pas claires ! Pourquoi je dois payer le parking dans d’hotel ou je suis résidente?
Location
Air Conditioning is noisy. Beds and blankets are kinda old
Nothing to like.
Very dirty and uncomfortable space, weird smells all over.
Nothing
Everything the staff the room the bed bugs the facilities the service Everything sucks
The location is good, and it also has a swimming pool.
The quality of the accommodations was unsatisfactory. My room was leaking from the roof during a rain, and the bed became thoroughly wet. Additionally, essential toilet supplies and drinking water were not provided. The towels had stains, and the room had an unpleasant odor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
The location is excellent.
My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and unfortunately, I will never stay here again. When I entered my room, I found that the pillows and bedding were very hot and uncomfortable. I immediately informed the staff and asked to change rooms, but the employee refused and told me that there were no available rooms. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I checked the hotel’s website myself and could see several rooms available. I felt that I was being treated unfairly. The employee was also very rude and unhelpful. He made no real effort to assist me or find a solution. When I tried to cancel my stay because of the issue, they refused to help me with that as well. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service and the way I was treated. I expected much better customer service and basic consideration for a guest. This was my last stay at this hotel, and I definitely will not recommend it to others.
Nothing was worth remembering
Outdated, felt like we needed to keep our shoes on the entire visit. Parking was terrible.
great pools
I've stayed here several times. The staff is always polite and nice. The rooms are always clean. The breakfast buffet is nice to have and a reasonable price. My balcony door was very difficult to open and close, oddly this has been the same in every room I've stayed in at this hotel, and the only other thing I could mention is that the air conditioner was over loud, but definitely not a deal-breaker. As I said, I've been here several times before, it's my go-to when I need to come to Toronto. Really it's the only place with a reasonable price that is Central.
The location.
My room wasnt clean room 469 I can guarantee the beer can is still underneath that was room wasn't vacuumed after the previous guest left.pipe in the bathroom was broken front desk offered me a new room but then denied it by wiping up the water and just leaving it as very bad service all the way will never going back there i rather pay more for a cleaning nicer room.

The location was good
The room AC was SO LOUD and kept cycling on and off we needed earplugs just to fall asleep. We were provided not nearly enough shampoo/conditioner, actually we were not given any conditioner, we asked for more through room service, and they forgot to bring us some. I had to take some off the housekeeping cart later
Climatisation bruyante. Chambre manque un peu d'amour.
Bien situé
the price
The Wi-Fi isn't working properly. Even when I tried to use my mobile data, there was no signal.
Contrary to many of these reviews, I had a great experience. Much nicer than a lot of Toronto hotels at the same price point and no issues with safety, comfort or service which is important to me as a solo female traveller. I enjoyed the restaurant downstairs and thought the food as very fairly priced. Would have loved to have used the pool, but there was a child screaming in it (which is in no way the hotel staff’s fault). Had to check out super early for work, but otherwise would have loved to stay longer and enjoy the amenities.
Access to the lobby and then into the rooms is very difficult. The ramps are outside of the main entrance and are not clearly marked. Restaurant is not accessible because of stairs unless you are prepared to go outside to use ramps. Although we ordered dinner through texting, it did not go through. Instructions were given on a card left in the room but apparently ordering is only available on the weekends. I had to make several trips to the restaurant to straighten this out. Staff were very helpful in trying to resolve our dinner issue. They were also quick to respond when our first room had no air conditioning. Pool area looked nice but again not easily accessible.
It grew on me but it is very dated and needs a deep clean. I don't care about the datedness of the place but the rooms could be cleaner. I had checked out and needed to return so I had 2 different rooms. Both rooms had mold looking spots in the bathtub tile and mirrors that weren't quite clean and the brown carpet didn't help. The bed linen and towels were clean and nice thick towels. Bathroom floors had radiant heat. We were there for a procedure at Sunnybrook Hospital and this is your best bet if you have to go to Sunnybrook. It is easy to get to the hotel from anywhere and easy commute to Sunnybrook Hospital. It is not luxury, it is just a tired hotel. The pool looks very cool with lots of natural light and there is also an outdoor pool for the warmer months. There is also a gym and a restaurant (only restaurant within walking distance). The property is off the road and quite private which is nice.
We arrived and checked in shortly after midnight, only to encounter multiple unacceptable issues that rendered the room unsafe and uninhabitable. Firstly, the heating system in the room was excessively loud, making it impossible to sleep. Secondly, there was a metal rod protruding from the bed frame, which caused injury to my wife’s leg This is a clear health and safety hazard. Thirdly, the wash basin in the bathroom had no proper drainage, as the stopper was stuck and could not be opened. One of the power socket in the bathroom was clearly burnt. These issues were immediately reported to the receptionist, Miss Sue, who attended the room but was unable to resolve them. She attempted to relocate us by showing us six different rooms across multiple floors; however, the heating systems in those rooms were even noisier. Instead of resting at 1:00 a.m., we were taken from floor to floor in search of a usable room, but none were suitable. I requested to speak with the duty manager to seek a resolution, including the possibility of a room upgrade, but was informed that no manager was available overnight and that the receptionist did not have the authority to make such decisions. We were told to wait until the morning. With no alternative available, we were forced to remain in the original room. We attempted to mitigate the safety risk by covering the exposed metal rod with a pillow, but we were unable to sleep at all due to the extreme noise. Turning off the heating was not an option, as the outside temperature was approximately -1°C. The following morning, I returned to reception expecting to speak with a manager, only to be informed that no manager would be available for 2 days. When I explained the situation to the receptionist named Einav, I was met with an extremely dismissive and unprofessional response. I was told, “you booked the cheapest room,” and that there was a sign outside indicating the building is due for demolition. These remarks were both inappropriate and unacceptable. When I raised concerns about the health and safety risks and mentioned the possibility of legal action, I was abruptly told, “I will stop you there,” and that she could no longer speak with me, advising me instead to contact head office. However, she refused to provide any contact details for the hotel’s head office. Given the circumstances, we had no option but to check out immediately. We requested a full refund and were told it would be processed via the booking agent. This experience was wholly unacceptable. As a result of this incident, we suffered physical injury, significant distress, and the loss of a full day of our holiday due to sleep deprivation and the need to urgently secure alternative accommodation at a much higher price due to last minute booking.
if you are traveling to the greater Toronto area and want to stay at a large, fantastic hotel -- stay at this one! it is Great -- its a bit on the older side, but in a genuinely classic way. the rooms are comfortable and clean -- our shower was great; our bed was really comfortable. it was not in the middle of town but easy enough to get to by car. the people working there were generous with their time -- never had us feeling rushed. easy, reasonably priced parking. but my favorite part was the little store -- it had nice stuff very fairly priced and the woman working there was helpful. the best part of whole experience was no one -- NO ONE, was pushy. we arrived a bit early -- and that wasnt a problem. the food was delicious by any standard -- not just hotel standards. the price was fair, reasonable -- solid! there is no better place around for the price. the single hassle was there were not microwaves in the room. but it didnt seem to matter to us because the food was so good and fresh and reasonably priced. no microwavable food would be that delicious
We stayed at this hotel for 2026 Provincials Hockey Tournament! Someone should have read the reviews before adding this hotel to the list for teams to choose from! We arrived at the hotel prior to our first game, looking to drop off our luggage - the early check in charge is $40 (never been charged an early check in at any other hotel). When we entered the hotel there was a strong odour of weed (even though they charge $250 for smoking, vaping or smoking weed). When we got to our floor the stench of weed was worse! Our room was musty (thankfully I brought febreeze with me), old and out of date. Our room had 2 double beds, a chair, and a desk. We also had quite a large a TV, but it had a small chunk missing out of the screen (I will add photo). Our room did not have an alarm clock or screen for the patio door, Our bathroom vanity was damaged and they used scotch tape to “repair” it (I will include photo). There was hair on the walls of the shower. The beds were decent, but the one duvet had burn holes in it, and a chocolate stain. My child also noted that the carpet beside the night table was quite dusty and there was.a piece of broccoli or a weed bud under the bed (I will include photo). The woman who checked us in was quite rude, argued with me about the cost of parking. Tried to tell me parking was $15/night when on their own website it says $11.95/night; she wouldn’t provide me with a copy of anything I signed, instead said “take a photo”. The pool was nice for the kids, but lacked seating for parents to actually monitor their kids. The glass roof was questionable as it has many broken/cracked pieces with tuck tape on them. I would not recommend staying here even if the alternative was sleeping in your car!
I checked in late after a long drive. The room looked like there had been a brawl, broken washroom sink, broken picture on the wall, ripped up carpet at the door, dust on lamps. I would be ashamed to offer such. The bed stunk. I couldn't sleep in it. When I asked to be moved, the front desk asked me what the bed stunk of. What a question! Fortunately the 2nd room was better and closer to the elevators. Still not the best. Pool out of service, No smoking policy is not enforced, as was evident walking down the hallway.
Worst crap box I’ve ever stayed in. Found the same things other people posted. The icing on the cake was the maid stole my Mac Cosmetics blush. I complaint at the front desk and the guy said, ‘I hardly think the cleaning staff would steal make up’. I’m not done with this. If he hadn’t been a condescending ahole I would let it go but now I am going to be a dog on a bone. Avoid this dump!

The location was beautiful, right next to a ravine
It is dated, certain things in our room were very old, like shower fixtures, but it did work! Colours were very dated. There was a very cold draft coming from underneath the room heater, we wondered if there was something where outside air was coming in! Finally we blocked the cold air with pillows

The layout of the pool was great. The beds weren't the worst.
The one cleaning staff member was extremely rude at pool area. The indoor pool area has mold on the walls. Our room itself could have been better kept up. Wallpaper pealing stains and hair on the bed skirt, holes and dirt on the walls. Trying to leave was impossible. Busses blocked the exit/entrance of the hotel for almost an hour. Staff did nothing to try and direct traffic flow and just told me to continue to wait while the busses kept the exit blocked. Kinda a major safety hazard. Will not be going back.
Sheets were stained
The room was great, the Hotel is vintage 70’s but I love the main floor & reception openness
Accessibility issues for my walker. They have made modifications to compensate but it clearly was not part of the design
very old and unkept low budget motel
Indoor heated pool
Beds, room could have included a microwave and larger tv
Nice and clean. Good service

The place was clean and nice.
Everything.
Room was fine, and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were very good and great value. The bar server was very efficient, the only one working which at times meant she was a little rushed. Underground parking a bonus
Heating was noisy so I turned it down which meant it was cold in the night. No extra blankets. Bathroom was a little outdated, but clean. Reception was cold.
The room was comfortable and very clean. Getting into indoor parking was a bit of a challenge, but we were pleasantly surprised when checking out and explaining we found finding our way around the garage that the owner took time to walk us to our car.

Areas to consider
Cleanliness
3.5/10Multiple reviews report dirty rooms, dust on surfaces, hair and dirty towels in bathrooms, peeling tubs, dirty microwaves and pool-related health issues (swimmer's ear); overall cleanliness is a clear weakness.
Service
7.8/10Service is mixed but generally positive: several guests call staff pleasant and helpful, while a few mention rude reception staff; staff awareness of issues was noted but response sometimes lacking.
Location
9.2/10Location repeatedly praised as very convenient and central (easy access to Don Valley, city centre); considered one of the hotel's strongest attributes.
Room Quality
6/10Rooms are mixed: some find beds comfortable and rooms spacious, others note dated rooms, smells (weed), noisy plumbing, peeling tubs and doors that don't shut properly.
Amenities
6.4/10Amenities include indoor/outdoor pools (positive) and paid parking (helpful but a cost); problems flagged with elevators, dirty shared microwaves and noisy AC/phones reducing the amenity score.
Value for Money
6/10Mixed perceptions: some guests call it great value for price, others find it too pricey especially given cleanliness and food shortcomings.
Food and Beverage
5.4/10Breakfast and buffet described as 'mid' with limited options; coffee machine and food areas noted as unclean by guests, lowering confidence in F&B.
Overall Experience
8.5/10Overall mixed but salvageable: excellent location and generally friendly staff create a positive core experience, but serious cleanliness and maintenance issues negatively impact stays.
