The location is excellent. The restaurant staff were friendly and provided good service
The building looked and felt old and in need of updating. Very cold look. The room took forever to cool down. The bed was very uncomfortable to start. A lot of bugs at the entries including bees hanging around our car. For the price we paid I would expect breakfast to have at least been partially if not fully paid for.
It was located close to our half marathon race!
The two young staff members at the desk kept telling us that the rooms would not be available until four at check in time. As soon as the both left at 3:01pm went back to the desk . The nice gentleman said oh we have Available rooms now. Wow what a coincidence that as soon as the two staff members left five people checked in..
The location made access to Rocky Mountain National Park easy. The free breakfast was available early, which provided the opportunity to get into the park before crowds arrived.
The hot food items for the breakfast brunch were luke warm to cold.
GREAT STAFF!
Location
Dated room despite recent “refresh”. Cheap motel feel. Especially the hallways with their dirty carpet, low ceilings and dark interior.
Location and free sparkling water and Starbucks coffee
Air conditioner old and loud. Time to change the mattresses.
Very convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park.
I couldn’t raise the air temperature in the room and my curtain was broken so I couldn’t keep the street lights from shining in towards the bed.
Heel goed hotel, het ontbijt was heel erg goed en uitgebreid. Goede locatie, dichtbij de rocky mountains. Je kunt water met lekkere smaakjes gratis tappen. Fijne ruime kamers.
Alles was goed.
Outside fire rings were a nice touch. People gathered and enjoyed conversations
Location
Narrow doors coming in and out of alternate main entrance, privacy window curtains cover air conditioning from filling room with cooling, bathroom exhaust was poor if it was working.
We loved the pool, game room, fire pits with smores and the friendly staff in the restaurant.
The room was very small with very little lighting. The air conditioner didn’t work well especially with the drapes blocking the vents. No desk to write on or set up a laptop. There is also no fan in the bathroom.
Muy bonito lugar
La alfombra
room was great; staff was great; loved the location; loved the lobby and dining area...very spacious.
Rooms are fine. Basic. Towel bars were falling off the wall. Huge Garbage bags were left in hallways. Air conditioner worked well. Didn’t use pool or hot tub. Outdoor fire pits were nice. S’mores kits available. Game rooms. Location was convenient. Important to know for families! There is one (1!) small washer/dryer combo machine for the entire hotel!!! Absurd. So, to do one small load of laundry it’s takes a minimum of an hour for the wash and after 1.5 hours of drying, the clothes were damp. So 2.5 hours for one load of damp clothes. And they did not have laundry soap for sale. Referred people to the laundromat nearby.
Loved the atmosphere and layout of the hotel
Bar closed early
Nothing - we never got to stay there ...
Registration (which is via some silly property management company) was closed when we got there on the Friday - it was the 3rd of July, the day before the big 4th July celebration, and the management team seem to have gone home early. Then they were shut all Saturday, then Sunday and when their phone wasn't answered on the Monday we gave up completely. We spent a fortune on hotels and never even saw the place. APPALLING! We seem to have got our exchange fee back but I can't see that our points have been returned ... I am chasing.
Decent place, wonderful location. Nice touch to have complementary water, coffee, tea, cocoa in the lobby. Towels scratchy.
The restaurant was great and the game room was a hit for our kids. The fire pits were also amazing.
The porter and staff for our room at night was not helpful when we had an issue with the bedding.
Cafe da manhã Atendimento Quarto
Beautiful views in this comfortable room
Tv Cable was not working, but service man came in and got it working
We were here for a business meeting for several days. Our room had what we needed and was clean. The lobby area had nice seating available. The lobby also had a flavored water dispenser and coffee area. There were free bikes to use. A nice indoor pool (nightly movies) and fire pits outside (s’more kits are free at the front desk). The fitness center was a disappointment. Just a two and a half sets of dumbbells, some kettlebells, and cardio equipment. Not much to work with The location was nice. You could walk into town or to the Visitor Center. There is a free trolley around town. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.
Staff was excellent. location too'
Bathtub and sink did not drain properly plus curtain by the bed was broken. They did come and fix the plumbing
Location and many amenities including a game room to entertain our kids.
The only complaint we had was walking down to the front desk late one night the gentleman working at the front desk was playing loud rock music which seemed completely out of place and inappropriate.
Clean comfortable and great location for the park
We prepaid for the buffet breakfast and received a slightly lower price. However, in my opinion, the breakfast was horrible. The original price is $17.99. That’s outrageous. Everything else about our stay was fine. I wish we would have eaten breakfast elsewhere.
This was an overnight stay the night before my Wife and I went to Rocky Mountain National Park and it didn't disappoint. Location was perfect and the staff was excellent. The following morning we had breakfast before we headed out and it was fantastic! This location is very close to the Park to be prepared to pay a premium but in my opinion, it was worth it.
My husband and I stayed here 2 nights. If you are expecting updated rooms, you will be disappointed. I will start with the good... Good - Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. - Amenities for children include a game room with video games, pool and s'mores by the file in the evening. - Location was great, close to everything. - The lobby is updated, very nice and there is a complimentary Starbucks coffee machine. Not So Good - The rooms are VERY outdated with tiny bathrooms with no vanity space. - No microwave in the room. - The curtains/shades where falling off of the rails. We used a hanger to clip them together. - The air conditioner was loud. - Not a lot of space in the rooms, no chair and very little room. - Breakfast cost was $18.00. We did not eat the breakfast, there is a McDonalds very close by and we chose to eat there. For the cost of the stay, breakfast should be included as are most hotels these days. If you are expecting a 4 star hotel, this is not it. It was fine for a couple of nights but not what we were expecting.
The restaurant was nice
We weren’t able to get into our rooms until 1&1/2 after the check in time and we had a wedding to get to. They took off the amenities fee which I don’t think they should have. There weren’t any amenities worth paying for. The grounds were not kept up at all. The view from our room was gross. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
My son enjoyed the game room. Pool area looked fun. We did not use it.
It was a little dated. Lighting was not great in the room. The room seemed small compared to the other Holiday Inn we stayed at on our trip. It was also the most expensive room we had.
Lobby ,pool,business cenete
room numbering was not right
Had a great visit here. Highly recommend.
Fire pits and Smores! Room design was nice. Location convenient!
We weren’t there long enough to find anything wrong!
Great location, close to downtown and park. Spacious rooms and excellent amenities including pool, exercise, games and more. Fire pits outside are a perfect place to enjoy the late evenings and wind up the day. Jessica and the staff at the breakfast were nice and friendly. Loved the whole experience. Thanks
Can’t think of anything that was missing 😊
I loved the chicken biscuit. Hehe!
I don't travel often. There isn't a laundry basket for used towels and I feel bad for the staff.
Location
The noise of the air conditioner was very loud in the room :(
Lobby area
I wanted to share feedback regarding my recent stay at your Holiday Inn location in Estes Park. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and below the standards I normally expect from Holiday Inn. When we arrived around 4:00 PM for check-in, our room was still not ready. We were asked to leave, take a drive around town, and call back later before returning to see if the room was available. After a long day of travel, this was very inconvenient, especially with family and luggage. Additionally, the bathroom condition in the room was poor. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working, making the bathroom uncomfortable to use, and the bathtub did not have a stopper, which was inconvenient for our family during the stay. Overall, the room and service did not reflect the quality and comfort typically associated with Holiday Inn properties. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and that these issues are addressed for future guests.
The out doors fire pit an complementary smores kit was a cute addition.
The facility is older. The bath room had a face-lift but the tub an shower was dated. The layout was strange.
accessible/clean
No free breakfast
Great location. Friendly staff. Resturant had good options.
Esta en buena ubicación
Offer more menu items and/or free breakfast
Amanda(?), the front desk lady and server, was amazing. easily made our stay 10x better. very professional and gave a great dinner recommendation.
We love the location and the amenities. It’s so fun to be able to swim and hang out by the fire pits and make s’mores.
We chose a room with pool view. It’s something we have wanted since previous visits. Amazing during the day. The night was awful. Walls are very thin and having the door to the pool made for an extremely loud night of kids and adults screaming and yelling until 11pm at the pool. I was not expecting it to be so loud and the pool to be open so late. The screaming kids was not the the property’s fault obviously but something to take note of if you get a pool view. It was LOUD.
Lots for the kids to do, food on site.
The restaurant was very slow from order to time of getting food. Facility and game room felt dated
Great facilities Coffee machine and pool and spa were lovely. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Staff were very helpful and friendly
Worst experience ever. Me and my husband booked for one night we got 2 queen beds and they wanted to charge us for 2 nights. It was all dirty. Really unsatisfied.
Friendly service convenient location.
Breakfast buffet was no that great.
Great location.
Not enough handicapped parking spaces at each entrance. Loud music played by the fire pits until 11:00.
We elected to eat off site
They had no breakfast, only at their restaurant.
Location was perfect
Restaurant was expensive with not a lot of choices
Food was good but too expensive. Staff was very nice.
The floor was not clean, curtains did not close, AC was noisy, no one asked if we needed any extra care and I traveled with someone who had physical issues, no signage indicating where ice was, refrig needed defrosting, TV did not work and had to call folks in twice, coffee pot did not work.
The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very nice.
We had a room with a door adjacent to the next room. The people in the next room were VERY loud. Their kids and a man were screaming, yelling, and crying all the time. Especially late at night and early in the morning. I can tolerate kids, but their parents should have told them to be quiet while indoors. I thought the noise was coming from the hallway, but I found out it was the room next door. It was hard to sleep and have a conversation with my granddaughter.
Room wasn't very clean the vent in the bathroom was disgusting. The floor was filthy. We saw 3 bugs crawling around. When we walked in the room there was cand wrappers on the floor behind the TV. I was not happy with cleanliness at all... We had to pay for our breakfast and it was not good at all.
Keep on the maids that clean the rooms I don't think they even clean the floor on the entryway of the room. It needs a lot of TLC.....
Room was quiet; very little noise from neighbors. Holiday Inn was close to town.
Room needs repairs. Drawers don't open and close correctly. Furniture looks worn; very outdated. For what we paid for the room, I felt the room was substandard. It would have been nice to have a free continental breakfast included for the guests who did not wish to purchase the buffet.
Nice
No free breakfast fast and fire place turn time 5 pm so that I asked them in morning she said we can’t turn it on it was cold and wildy also freezen but she refused to turn on.
Pool was fun for the kids. It was a very busy time and I felt they were understaffed. One front desk member was very kind and offered us pool access since our room was not ready upon check in (we had two other sets of friends also staying with multiple rooms that had already checked in). Then when we actually got checked in the gentleman who checked us into our room was extremely upset about us being able to utilize the facilities even though we were guests staying there. We have stayed at this hotel for many years and have always been pleased. Overall we had a nice experience and will stay again. I just hope they are better prepared for a busy weekend next time.
We liked everything, we especially loved the pool and hot tub!
The location was great. The room was nice.
There needs to be adult hours for the amenities. We weren't able to do anything that was available because it was overrun by kids there for an event in town. We should have been given notice and a discount. I chose this hotel for those specific things and then wasn't able to use them. Therefore, I paid a lot of money for a bed.
Kid friendly and location
Breakfast is terrible. Poor choices and poor quality. The chocolate pancakes were very mushy and you couldn’t even serve yourself one pancake without getting so many crumbs. Also, the AC/heat system in the rooms is terrible. In my room, the system was on constantly, making a very loud noise and my child had difficulty sleeping because it was so loud.
Location, pool
Charged for breakfast, dining ended at 9
My husband, Nicholas and I spent four days and three nights at Estes Park Holiday Inn by IHG. We were in town for our cousin’s wedding/reception. The hotel was very comfortable and our suite was extra comfy because we were able to manually control the temperature by adjusting a flawless and easy-to-operate thermostat. The people on staff were friendly and eager to accommodate, especially the Food & Beverage Supervisor, Ms. Jennifer Edwards. Kudos to her! She went above and beyond the call-of-duty to make sure that we had a pleasant stay and received everything we needed. Jennifer was great! Awesome, customer service! There were two Front Desk Attendants (Daniel S. and Jae S.) who helped us with questions and maps of the area before we checked out. They were patient and kind; we worked with them quite easily. Overall, I’d rate this Hotel and our experience there as an A+. You too will find this to be true when visiting Holiday Inn Estes Park, Colorado. Enjoy! Juanita M. (and Nicholas) Sarasota, Florida (USA) P.S. The breakfast buffet was absolutely yummy too! 😋
1st time staying here at this facility. Have been visiting Estes Park since 1990. My regular place was booked so I wanted to give this place a try. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. It was a little difficult try to exit the facility due to the fast moving traffic. The location however was within walking distance to the Riverwalk area. About a 5 to 7 minute walk.
My view. This was my only negative. The view of the ACs and flat rooftop blocked a lot of the view of the mountains and lake. But that is on me. Next time I'll look a higher floor with unobstructed view.
Great location, good price, hotel is showing its age, but still kept clean. Close to downtown Estes Park, could walk, but we drove. Game room had everything you would want to play. 24 seven coffee available in lobby. Everyone was very friendly.
Fire pits were outstanding! Bedroom was nice. Location was great. Front desk personnel were very helpful!
Our room lacked a dresser, having shelves instead(belongings were in the open). Bar closed early enough, it should be at an old folks facility - not a hotel. Very, very restrictive hours(not addressed on web site). A BIL had a to-go food box from a restaurant nearby - wasn’t allowed to take it into the bar, while having a drink. Our group chose to not go into the bar, that nite.
Great location, nice warm pool
Hot tub closed the 2nd day
I received multiple requests from the hotel to grade my experience, so here it is. Honestly, I was disappointed with my stay. First, the hotel is overpriced for what it offers. The facilities are old and outdated, and the rooms are quite small. Second, the staff were not professional. Check-in took a long time, and when it was finally my turn, they couldn’t even activate my room keys properly. What frustrated me the most was the room with view I paid extra for. When I checked in, the window was almost completely blocked by trees, so there was basically no view at all. I called the front desk to request a room change, but they put me on hold for over 10 minutes and never got back to me. I then went to the lobby directly, but there was only one lady at the front desk who kept talking on the phone while a long line of guests waited. Even when she noticed I had been waiting for a long time, she spoke to me impatiently while still on her call. In the end, they didn’t help me change my room.
not much
everything the stuff rude for the price should have been better.
Amazing overall.
The location
We were put on the third floor of a separate building from the main building, where we had to climb 14 steps since they had no elevator from the second floor to the third. We are both elderly and requested a room on the first floor, but they said they had no vacancies for the number of days we were staying. Plus the front desk staff weren’t very friendly, didn’t even attempt to accommodate us in any way. Plus we did not get to enjoy any of the amenities in the main building, because who wants to go back out of their room from a separate building in the cold. Also there was no microwave in the room. We had to request one. The only good staffer we met volunteered to help us get our luggage up the stairs and into our room was a gentleman named Forrest. He went out of his way to make us comfortable. Including bringing a microwave to our room. Big kudos to him. We ended up checking out a day early. We were also not happy with our billing. Since we ended up staying 3 nights instead of 4. Our billing consisted of 2 nights at $229, and 1 night at $324 (not including amenity fees and taxes). We didn’t understand why we were being charged almost $100 more for the last night which was a Thursday night.
Great place to stay. Very clean, easy access to park and downtown.
Comfortable and clean.
Awesome location to stay
Game room, pool, rooms, restaurant food was great.
Everyone was so pleasant. Loved the atmosphere, s'more kits were an awesome treat. Will definitely recommend and return.
Staff was very nice...the hotel was in the best location and really loved how they care so much about the visitors and the food in the restaurant was really good too 10 outta 10👍👍👍 a
Wonderful property, pet friendly, wonderful room, and staff
The only comment i will post is that the beds are vert firm, not very cushy. Might be my preference for the mattresses to have a memory foam topper.
Great
Loved that they have free good coffee and tea all day long in the lobby! My room wasn’t made but maybe that’s because they don’t clean rooms everyday? No free breakfast but it doesn’t seem like that’s a thing in Estes Park. 10 min walk to food and the Main Street.
The man checking us in was so helpful. He was just so nice. When my husband had gone down to the restaurant he was very kind and helpful. After having had a rough day his kindness was extremely appreciated.
Everything was fine.
We were assigned to the West Wing which was located a ways fron the main building and the amenities. Building is old, no elevator and small rooms. They were clean and adequate for sleeping but the rates in this part of the hotel should be much less than those in the main building.
Staff is great! Building is old, but it’s mountain time and you have to love it.
Great location to explore Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The staff is welcoming and tries to make the stay as pleasant as possible. There is a Starbucks coffee station available for self-service at any time and a water bottle refill station that offers flavoring for the water and various levels of carbonation. At the end of the day you can enjoy your beverage at one of several fire pits and make a s'more with the complimentary s'more kit. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay again if the opportunity arises.
Pet areas good
We would definitely stay here again.
