Sonesta Irvine John Wayne Airport

I had very good experience in the hotel.

Everything was perfect.

All...

Parking fee...

Location is good.

Terribly noisy. The neighbor next door wouldn’t stop playing games and making weird noises throughout the night. We could barely sleep as the doors are paper thin. The bed was also quite uncomfortable. Not good value for the money.

It smelt amazing when you walked in the staff super friendly loved the grateful board in reception , the beds were so comfy and the view from our room was amazing

Great location.

There is a parking fee of $39, and there is no complimentary breakfast buffet.

Proximity to airport and shuttle. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I had left my cell phone in the Uber and Milo on reception was most kind and helpful in the retrieval of it.

Clean rooms, nice pool area, great lounge and bar area

Didn’t have complimentary breakfast and/or coffee… parking price was outrageous. Should t have to pay a high price to park when you are paying a high amount for the room.

Maribel at the bar/restaurant was wonderful.. an absolute sweetheart. She made every morning more enjoyable, and I think she should deserves to be recognized.

The windows don’t open for proper air circulation… I brought my cat since I’m in between moving and honestly for spending 10 days here with no windows. It’s a bit suffocating.

It's very close to the airport and university. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, the restaurant has good food.

There's nothing in walking distance of the hotel. That's obviously not the hotel's fault.

Gym was nice.

Air conditioning was terrible. 80 degrees in the room during my stay.

The hotel over booked for that night they could not check me in and they asked me to go find a different hotel. By the time I got to the hotel it was 1:30am and it was very difficult for me to trying to get a room with a different hotel with my two a little kids so that was very frustrating.

the pool area being indoor is nice and the jacuzzi the breakfast is good but a buffet would be better for options, room is clean, there is also a little program to color and write your thoughts by the entrance which is nice

pool is kinda dirty in the afternoon, the ladies at the dining area need to be more genuine with smiling at customers, no microwave at the room which is odd cause other hotels have that available

No a/d very low water pressure

Clean, good energy and accommodating staff

Nothing

Its location and proximity to the airport. Yet, it was very quiet and calm. I especially liked the seating areas and also availability of books and TOYO device for our grandchild.

I liked everything !

Clean and spacious room. Modern design.

My A/C unit was loud and I had to complain three days in a row to be offered an alternative room. Staff could have been more helpful. Additionally, the breakfast deal was not clear to the staff and we had to contact management through the app to get our vouchers.

Location

Terrible elevators - it was a packed weekend and they only had 2/3 running and wouldn’t open up the stairwell. It made you never want to leave the room. The rooms were also dirty

离机场和高速都很近

Cleanliness

NA

I really enjoyed the hotel. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The pool seemed clean and warm. The property is close to a lot of restaurants and businesses

I didn’t like the hotel had a $20 daily charge (which they gave $10 restaurant credit and then 2 bottled waters). Parking was also a bit excessive at $39 per day. The king size room was comfortable but also small

room was spacious and temperature control worked well. Liked the Google cast feature of the tv

wi-fi connection was poor, handicap room assigned without request, shower gel bottle was empty

The location

Arrived at the hotel at 1015pm after our flight from Miami was delayed 5 hrs. I pre warned the hotel that I had a service dog. All of the necessary documents. Upon arriving at the hotel. A man after some time finally asks how can I help you. I said. I’d like to check in please. Handed him my ID and CC. My husband walked in with our service dog and suitcases while I was checking in. Angel rudely said it will be $70-$75 for dog. I explained it was a service animal. He asked what service it provided which I was taken back with. I replied. I never been asked that question and fly with him all the time. I didn’t really want him to know that my dog is able to grab my inhaler. As I suffer with extreme asthma. So I told angel. He supports me. Angel with a grin and cocky attitude said… it will be $75. Again I explained it was service dog. I have a binder with his papers. He refused to acknowledge them. I whispered that he helps me before an asthma attack comes on. He laughed in my face. After 9 hours of traveling I didn’t have the energy to fight with him. I told to cancel the room. Not about the money. Because I felt zero empathy from him. He laughed in my face. So we got in the car I called booking.com who was wonderful. They told me to go back to the hotel and show them the papers. Well let’s just say Angel became ruder. I don’t want to see the papers it’s $70. I told him I had booking.com on the phone. After standing in the lobby another 50 min Booking.com found us another location minutes away. The following day we were at the airport by 7am to catch our flight to miami. Your customer service agent Eduardo C. Could not have done anymore to help calm us down. He was wonderful.

The decor, the fresh scent of the lobby and the staff.

Could use to have a selection of pillows with varied firmness.

Rooms were very clean, and the lobby and rooms smelled so good! Free parking! Felt so cozy and comfortable.

Pool

Staff was very helpful and nice. Room clean and bed comfortable.

The restaurant bar tender was not very nice when we asked what time restaurant closed he said 9:45 it was 9:40pm when we asked, we were told they closed 10pm

Room was clean and comfy

They charged me extra fee for nothing. My checked in and out were on time. Didn’t eat or drink simply just stay. I’ve been asking them to send me invoice, however, they never send me one

hotel and hotel staff 5 starts

Kitchen staff needs better training and I found early bartender rude

The staff, friendly, attentive and they remember return clients

The spike in price due to a convention in Anaheim, almost double of what is the usually the week day rate! I stay there weekly and thought is was a little outrageous

COMFORT

NONE

I liked the breakfast. The room is spacious and the restaurant bar lady was kind.

The lobby and elevator smells too strongly of cologne. They need to stop spraying that. The guy that checked us in was terrible, didn’t give us any information about our stay, no info about where the gym or pools were, no info about our breakfast that was included, no info about parking. When we went to get breakfast the next day, the bar lady had to tell redirect us back to front desk to get our vouchers that the front desk guy never gave us. Also, our room was dirty: there were old false lashes on the floor by the mirror so the cleaning staff likely did not sweep or mop the floors. There’s also brown spots near the toilet below the sink. Also $39/day for parking is ridiculous.

Very courteous and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room. Good black out curtains. Nice, walkable area.

May need pillows with more varied firmness.

Clean and modern

Pool a bit dated

Very friendly staff that went above and beyond to make us feel welcome as we were celebrating my niece's birthday. Loved using the pool. Loved how close it was to the airport.

I was disappointed that the price I was quoted wasn't what I paid during check out. When I booked it said total $167, but at check out they charged me extra $22-23 bucks for taxes. They need to be honest to begin with.

Very clean. Nice to come back to the room and it’s clean, beds were made, bathroom was clean with clean towels and wash clothes.

The cost of parking was a bit excessive. I spent $117 to park my rental car for 3 night. This would be the one reason that I might not stay here again.

Everything was VERY clean and comfortable!

High parking fees

extra charge per day. we had no idea beside parking charge.

Your mattresses is as old as Izenhour , so dirty and old , you have to go to the chiropractor the second morning, advise to management, go through garage sale and you will feel nd better mattresses. It was a waste of my hard earning money.that your establishment doesn’t deserve. It’s very sad to get fooled by the size of the building and think it’s a good hotel. It’s a shame, terrible, I left with back pain.

The mattress, they even upgraded me to the 14 th floor, it was the same shit .

Nice room, bed, and accommodations, like parking.

Good location

Knocking on the door before check out time

This hotel was AMAZING, so clean, comfortable, & the staff was so nice!

The check in and check out were easy. The elevators are fast. The people who work there are friendly and professional. Parking was easy. The restaurant in the hotel is convenient for eating in and taking food to go. There was complimentary water in the lobby and some water bottles if you’re a member. They allowed me two extra hours for check out as a member. The location was pretty quiet and convenient for Irvine.

The parking is 39.00/night. The toiletries bottles in the bathroom were not super clean. The shower heads and water spray were not the greatest. The beds were old mattresses with sunk and unsupportive areas. The comforters were weirdly wrapped with a sheet on top and bottom instead of a duvet cover.

I only had a to go breakfast sandwich which was awesome and the Thanksgiving dinner. Two meals were about the best I've ever had. Style and cleanliness of the hotel and restaurant.

I don't understand the 100 dollar per day deposit which so far both the deposit and the room rate are pending and processing on my bank account. After two free bottles of water upon check-in, good, The standard price of 5 dollars or 9 dollars after seemed a bit unkind.

The light around the mirror

No water and no indoor slippers provided

Nice location and overall good stay. Even with the renovations going on at the property, there was no disturbance.

Nothing.

Location, cleanliness, customer service

Nothing to add
