Hilton Garden Inn Irvine/Orange County Airport

Bed linens were scratchy.

The room was clean and comfortable overall, although a few items from a previous guest had been left behind in the bathroom. The location was convenient, and the property itself was generally well maintained.

The biggest problem was the lack of communication and customer service. My prepaid Booking.com reservation was for three nights, July 29–August 1. On August 1, while my son and I were away, I received no email, text, voicemail, written checkout notice, or other effective communication from the hotel. When we returned, our room key had been deactivated, and only after my son went to the front desk did we learn that our reservation had ended. Management later said they had attempted to call me around 1:00 and 1:30 p.m., but I checked my phone and had no incoming or missed calls or voicemail from the hotel. When I asked for verification, management said they do not retain records of every attempted call. I was also told that the hotel created a new reservation for our occupied room at 1:52 p.m. We ultimately incurred an additional charge of $272.02. I understand that guests are responsible for their reservation dates, but one effective notification could have prevented this situation. I tried to resolve the matter directly with hotel management and later through Hilton Corporate Guest Relations, but it remained unresolved. Overall, the physical property was fine, but the communication and handling of the situation were very disappointing.

Upon arriving we entered the hotel lobby which was bright and open. Checked into our room no problem. Samy at the front desk was so sweet and kind. Very welcoming. Our room, although we requested a double bed room, we got a king but made the best of it. Our room was very clean and modern. We got the breakfast add on and it was well worth it. Stocked nicely everyday with fresh fruit, assorted pastries, eggs, bacon, home fries and oatmeal. Even a make your own waffle station. The highlight of our dining room experience was Miguel. Such a warm, welcoming, knowledgeable of the area, funny man. Looked forward to seeing him in the mornings for a joke or two and recommendations of what to do in the area.

Stacey took such great care of my coworkers and I at the hotel bar! She was super attentive and engaging. Room was great, super clean and I had everything I needed. Can’t wait to come back!

Stacey who runs the lounge bar is a breath of fresh air. Makes you feel at home a. Dis always fun. She is a true gem and hopefully is treated accordingly. Took the time to teach how a modelo can be fun for this Virginia Beach. Traveler.

Nonna Front Desk has excellent customer service skills!! Friendly yet professional. Staff at the breakfast at Garden Grille Restaurant are very helpful and attentive!!! Great selection of buffet breakfast. Crispy bacon and eggs are my fav! Will comeback again.. Celebrated my birthday here with family had a blast!!!💖💖💖

The $30/night cost of parking was never advertised.

We had breakfast in the lobby restaurant, and Miguel was our server. He is amazing. Friendly, courteous, he kept our coffee full and brought water as well, even after we forgot to ask for it. He was working hard the entire time we were at our table. Cleaning, restocking table items, and constantly checking on us and other tables to ensure we had everything we needed. He is an outstanding server, and it is easy to see he enjoys what he is doing.

The systems went down and the staff snapped into action and manually got us all in our rooms. Samy and Dorothy were amazing with handling upset folks. They calmed them down and got to work.

USA Water Polo Junior Olympics 2026-Clovis Red Water Polo This hotel was absolutely awesome. For a group of 35 families this hotel checks every box in amenities and the staff from breakfast, housekeeping and the bar (thank you for the great music Stacey!) was the best. The breakfast is top notch. Fueling 40 boys for a full day of games is hard. The hotel makes sure the kids are ready with breakfast opening at 6:00 am to catch early game times. If you are in Irvine and need a clean, close to airport, the Spectrum and other SoCal attractions I highly recommend this Hilton Garden Inn. Finally, if you are traveling with a group, Sabina was the most gracious coordinator I have ever worked with.

I came here one of the staff members for Honolulu Water Polo Club during our Junior Olympics Tournament. Miguel was our main server during the breakfast that was very important for us and all of our players… He made sure we laugh in the morning and have a pleasant and peaceful breakfast as we get ready for the day! Thank you Miguel for your service and to everyone in the Hilton Garden Inn for welcoming us and making sure all of our needs are met.

We were here for a sports tournament. Hotel was full and super busy. Yet, every staff member was helpful and friendly. Always greeted with a smile. Rooms were neat and housekeeping was so helpful, quick and thorough. Breakfast was delicious and staff continued to check on us for refills etc. Miguel and coworkers could not be better!!! Daniel in the sales office helped me straighten out my reservation when I messed it up. I will come back and use Hilton garden inn again. Several families have already asked our team owner to continue to use this chain again. Great experience

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Dorothy at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with a warm smile, genuine kindness, and an incredibly professional attitude. She went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable, and her positive attitude made me feel truly welcomed. I would also like to recognize her manager, Sami, for his excellent leadership and commitment to outstanding guest service. It is clear that he leads by example and has built a team that genuinely cares about its guests. Employees like Dorothy and managers like Sami are a tremendous asset to Hilton. I was satisfied with the quiet location and accommodation.

What I want to improve is that I didn't know there was a parking fee for guests, but I stayed for a day and I was surprised that the parking fee in the hotel was 30 dollars. At least it should be free parking for guests.

Every time someone opened or closed their door near our room, it sounded like someone was entering our room. We got used to it, but initially it was a concern.

If you stay here, ask for Stacey at the bar. Her customer service, pleasant disposition and ability to make you feel safe, celebrated and served is second to none. Best espresso martini and an original maitai to die for. You've gotta do happy hour. You've got to get to know her. Best thing about my visit.

Staff didn’t seem to care. Especially the night desk attendant. Didn’t feel welcomed, no thanks for staying with them. Despite being informed of my allergies ahead of my stay no provision was made for my 2 day stay so I only had fruit to eat.

I enjoyed my stay at this Hilton Garden Inn. It’s in a great location close to John Wayne Airport. Rooms are very nice. It’s fairly modern. I recommend it.

I want to thank Dorothy and Sammy for making our stay one of the best ever. They were very courteous, extremely pleasant and most important responsive to our needs. They are a tremendous asset to the Hilton family. They are the epitome of what the face of the Hilton brand should be. With all the guests coming and going, they never failed to greet us with a smile and ask how our day, and more important our stay was going. Dorothy especially, went above and beyond of what we expected. Employees such as they, truly reflect what the Hilton brand should strive to be.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels, and this one stands out because of both the facility and the people. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern with excellent shower heads and some of the best water pressure I've experienced in a hotel. The gym is well-equipped with free weights and everything needed for a solid workout. The complimentary breakfast is also fantastic. Plenty of protein options every morning with eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, and more. It's one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. What really made this stay special, though, was Sarah at the front desk. She has gone above and beyond from day one. She helped me extend my reservation, remembered my name and room number despite the hotel being packed with hundreds of guests, and when she asked me to check back the next morning regarding my stay, she had already taken care of everything before I even made it downstairs. She had my breakfast vouchers ready and waiting and has consistently been friendly, professional, and genuinely kind. I've also managed to lock myself out of my room and misplace parking passes more than once, and each time she helped me out without hesitation and with a smile. Customer service like that is rare these days. Sarah made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another room number. She is a huge asset to this hotel, and her attention to detail and genuine care for guests did not go unnoticed. Highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're lucky enough to be helped by Sarah.

Our family of 3 with 2 dogs evacuated from the Garden Grove incident. A great reception by Dorothy made us feel right at home for a peaceful visit during this crazy time. Pepe was a good morning experience. Being creatures of habit he easily had our dining choices memorized. Such a friendly and warm person. Thank you Hilton for choosing great people to work with us weary travelers.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I had a large van full of expensive equipment. I didn't want to leave in the parking lot. I asked if there was space in the garage and there was not. Sammy. And it moved his personal vehicle to make space for mine. Super appreciative. Went way above and beyond to make sure my stuff was safe. Very happy with this place. Recommend 10 out of 10. Rooms were super clean and updated bathroom was amazing. Shower was awesome.. Food was good. Nice 24-hour store at the front desk. Good job, guys I didn't think good people existed like this anymore.

We had breakfast in the hotel which was excellent. We had a wonderful server, Migel who was courteous and efficient. Well done Migel!!! You are the best! One caveat is that we are eco conscious and would have liked cloth napkins.

We had a couple drinks and snacks at the bar, Stacey is outstanding!! She was talkative, very friendly and helpful on what we were doing the rest of the trip. I highly recommend this Hilton property, but more importantly go see Stacey, she’s outstanding!!

Great experience, and friendly front reception desk. I lost my cell at the room and Daothy D helped me find it, Amazing!

Definitely order the breakfast buffet. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of meat and vegan options. Fresh, clean, delicious preparations with plenty of attention to an appetizing impression. The waitstaff was very attentive and gracious. Dining space was well lit, airy.

Dorothy who was working the front desk the evening of 4-25-26 was phenomenal. A family medical emergency necessitated me extending our stay for an undetermined amount of days. Not only did she quickly and flawlessly arrange things with speed and efficiency, she provided comfort to me in a personal and touching way that eased the pain of a very difficult day. She displayed true servant’s heart and is a beautiful asset to your business.

Stacey was great, I gotta be honest…I watched he handle 5 folks at the bar and 5 tables with multiple ppl. The food was great, you can tell they work with pride and ownership

I’m disappointed that the pool is under repair during my stay, as it was one of the key reasons I booked this hotel. I believe this should have been clearly communicated on front desk and on your website prior to booking, as it impacts the overall experience.

The Hilton Garden is in a great location to work and OC airport. The atmosphere when you walk in is beautiful and very clean and bright. The staff is very professional and very nice. Especially Samy at the check in reception desk. And Stacy the bartender is awesome and kind and makes amazing up to date drinks. The cooks also make amazing tasting foods. The on-site manager was also walking around and talking to guests or just people coming in for happy hour. Its a great place to stay. Its a calm and quite place, nice to relax after a long work day. The rooms are nice and a great price. Make your reservation now!

I stayed at this hotel as temporary accommodation before finding an apartment in the U.S. During my stay, I had to go on a business trip, and the staff were incredibly kind and flexible in helping me with my luggage and arranging a taxi. Thanks to their support, I had a wonderful experience. I truly appreciate their hospitality.

This was our second stay at this property in the past 4 months. When we knew we were coming back to the area, we booked without looking at other properties due to the great stay we had near Christmas.

It’s a clean typical room. Standard no issues. But honestly where they shine is with continental breakfast. Perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, egg whites, sausage, bacon, waffles, fruit. But the reason I decided to take time to write a review, is that I thought the service was exceptional. Was greated by Pepe when we walked in, and he made feel like a 5 star experience (at a continental breakfast…no way). Guided us to table, explained the features, kept the coffee full with perfect timing (not too much not too little), reminded us that last call was coming up with time to spare, and kept the table bused. He did it with elegance. I know I sound smitten for Pepe but really he made it feel like a wonderful luxurious 5 star experience. So kudos. My wife and I thought he did great. Great way to end our stay.

Great hotel! Never had a problem when I stay here... bartenders Jerry and Sergio will take care of you if you visit them on your stay! Always great conversation and they really take care of their guests... I've stayed several times now and I look forward to seeing them when I visit the area! Great hotel and people!

I just love coming to this hotel even for a couple days to go feel like I’m at home. Sammy and Dorothy take such great care of me. I’ve been coming here for years. It’s such a clean place and the staff are amazing. I highly recommend it. I go to so many Hiltons but this is one of my favorites.

This hotel is very nice and accommodating. They acknowledge diamond member benefits, which is a huge bonus and I appreciate that a lot. Check-in is always very easy anytime I need something. They are on it. The waitress and the restaurant is a sweetheart. Dorothy at the front desk is amazing.!

The service I received while saying at this location was impeccable. Samy,Rosie and Dorothy all deserve praise. I haven't experienced customer service like this in a while. From the moment I walked through the door and the check ins throughout my stay. All I can say is I am glad that I was able to experience this level of customer service satisfaction with these three. The staff was very nice specifically Dorothy, who checked us in when we got there. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable.

The fridge didn’t work . That was my only complaint about the room.

Room were very spacious. Designs were modern and the room had a bath tub, which is rare nowadays at this price point.

They charge $30 for parking your vehicle at the location. Really? This is the first place that does this as far as I can tell. Terrible management!

Very central and practical location close to major roads, 405/5, John Wayne airport, and shopping/food. Easy parking. Easy in and out, access.

The shower water pressure was absolutely pathetic. I don’t get the Irvine hotel parking fees - weird - this is one of the worse ones - $30 per night!! Come on.

The staff at Hilton Garden Inn Irvine Orange County Airport are unbelievably attentive and welcoming, and go out of their way to ensure my stay is perfect. This is my favorite Hilton hotel!!!! I also love their bar/grill.
