The staff are exceptional the young woman at the front desk when we checked in is gonna be in management before long

The slamming doors. It turned out it was maintenance going door-to-door to put screens back in. They’re heavy doors and they would just let them slam.

Breakfast was great, and the woman at the desk gave us complimentary tickets, which was extremely nice of her. Parking was convenient even though we had to pay for it. Our sink was not draining well and maintenance came and fixed it very quickly. The shower was fantastic! The hotel sits exactly where I had a student apartment 55 years ago, so that was fun!

There's no vent fan in the bathroom! The loud music across the street at 2 am! That we had to pay for parking. It's a little congested around the location, but I guess that's development.

i had made some requests prior to my stay and they fulfilled them very satisfactorily,.

Fresh baked cookies! Everyone was very friendly and helpful!

No laundry, but even that wasn't a problem, as there was a laundromat right around the corner.

Brooke at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating for everything. Friendly staff overall. The free shuttle service worked out great for us. Drivers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Proximity to Kohl Center, campus and downtown. Quiet.

Maybe a little dated feeling, but clean and comfortable. Being walkable to everything was great.

I loved the proximity to the University of WI and the parking onsite. I do not like paying for the parking but I understand it is Madison and the lack of parking is an issue. The lobby is very nice, the bar is awesome, the rooms are also very nice so I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was REALLY OUTSTANDING! I have never had such a helpful staff at the front desk. Usually I see anywhere from a bit rude to okay. The staff at the desk, no matter what time I was there, was fantastic.

My hallway was noisy at times - we were right by the elavator and the ice machine. That's not really a hotel issue though. The shower has that super awkward handle where it takes forever for the water to get hot and then it's crazy hot and there's the typical low pressure you can't overcome. It's just a typical issue with all hotels though.

מעבר להערות על ארוחת הבקר, חסר במקלחת telephone shower שזה אביזר חיוני מאד ומפתיע לגלות שזה חסר במלון הזה.

The staff were absolutely amazing..so friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Bri, Mary and Patrick at the bar..who really looked after us. All the receptionists welcomed us everytime we passed the desk.

The room was clean and orderly. The staff was super kind and it was in the perfect location.

The breakfast buffet they offered was a standard continental breakfast but they charged 20 per person.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Parking was also easy. They also offer a free shuttle that can take you anywhere diwntown.

Facility great, but most importantly, the staff were outstanding.

Location and the building is nice.

There isn’t much soundproofing for the rooms, so if there’s a noisy room on your floor you’ll definitely hear them in your room.

The pipes in the bathroom were a little musical--almost like a harmonica softly in the background. The water pressure okay.

Overall a wonderful experience. The room was meticulously clean and spacious, the staff very friendly and the breakfast buffet offered a lot of rotating choices. I also visited the gym which is well maintained. Good location for Kohl Center and UW campus. A couple of blocks away there's a bus stop with buses coming to/from Chicago and O'Hare.

Room smelled a little... not horrible but it had a certain stale smell to it when we walked in. The bathroom counter space was tight.

Clean, customer service was wonderful, and rooms were warm, cozy and makes you feel at peace away from home.

Everything we needed was there. The room was smallish, but super clean and nicely decorated . Loved the powerful shower pressure. The staff was exceptionally polite and accommodating. The bistro was a great amenity. The Doubletree was just a few blocks from the UW campus - perfect to visit our student.

The rooms were a little compact, but did contain everything you might need.

Pleasantly surprised that the ADA rooms were close to the elevator - oftentimes they're at the end of a hallway very far from the elevators. Good blackout curtains. Nice that although the shower was NOT a roll-in like I expected, it did have a decent lip that prevented water from leaking onto the main bathroom floor which means I did not slip & fall like I did at another local hotel last year. Although not covered, I did like the rooftop parking access especially because it was not far from my room -convenient as I was going to/from the hospital a lot while there.

Mobility bedrooms typically have shorter beds - I had trouble climbing up onto the high bed as my feet couldn't touch the ground. Also if I HAD been in a wheelchair, the lack of roll-in shower despite it being a mobility ADA room would've been tricky. Soaps/lotions/etc wall mounted a bit high up but manageable. I was promised 4 bottles of water, there were only 2 but it wasn't worth calling about. Isn't this the place where I should get cookies at check-in? I didn't. Also, I had family book the hotel room while I was traveling - they were supposed to ask for a late check-in. When I arrived about 3AM I had been marked as a no show and it took quite a while to get checked in, although the staff was very nice about it. She did mark my room as do not disturb as I would be sleeping for the morning and then back to the hospital in the afternoon. I was in town to sit bedside while my mother was dying - not the most ideal or happy circumstances, but having my own space at the Doubletree rather than traipsing out to a family home in Verona made things easier on me.

The universal shower soaps. I know they save money, but I'll never use them. You have no idea if a former guest put anything into them.

Location was great! Easy parking. Chris, at the front desk, was very personable and helpful!

The staff was great and very accommodating. The rooms was large, clean and overall very nice.

The noise. A lot of noise. There were a lot of parties until early morning hours, loud talking and someone pulled the fire alarm. And it didn’t seem that anything was being done about it. The people in the room next to me were loud from check in until check out. I didn’t get any rest. In the morning, housekeeping was talking so loud in the hallways starting early, that I couldn’t even try to sleep in a bit. For this reason, and this reason only, I probably would not stay here again.
