we checked in on August 24 around 11 pm . maybe it was too late, but we felt absolutely unwelcome from a girl who was assisting us ( like, monotonous speech, eyes on the screen... I don't know, maybe we are just too demanding). Even thought, after that we didn't even want to try a restaurant or any other service, first impression- last impression.

I paid extra for a view which I assumed meant a capital or lake view …. In reality it was view of a loud bar. On check in the staff seemed untrained and confused. Staff at check-in weren’t unfriendly but they certainly weren’t friendly

Great location and helpful staff

Breakfast was delicious as I enjoyed Eggs Benedict with Greens and my husband ate Chicken & Waffles. We choose to eat outside with a beautiful view of the State Capital. Prices were very reasonable. We also went to the Farmer’s Market across the street on Saturday morning and used the pool.

Parking was easy to get to.

A suprise early check-in fee wasn’t very cool. We got an email for our pre-registration, which we completed ahead of time, and it gave us the option to check in at 3pm, which is when we arrived. We had no time to discuss due to an event we needed to be at by 4pm, and needed to check in, and was not disclosed when we chose the 3pm pre registration. We were also told it was $45 by the front desk, but was charged $60 on my account. So thats also not cool.

Close to everything! My capitol suite was incredibly clean and nice!

Not that I didn’t liked it but everything in their little store was very expensive, but you can’t expect less because of the high quality of the hotel.

Arrived around midnight, but the front desk was still well staffed and cordial. Room was beautiful and love the elegant design touches around the meeting room areas. Staff setting up our meeting area were SO gracious. When leaving, I didn't ask about the shuttle in advance. I just popped up at the valet, and JACK shuttled me (party of 1) to the airport immediately. He shared some history of the hotel and the area. It was a great ending to a great stay.

I am giving this hotel a 5 because it greatly exceeded my expectations. I was there for 5 days for a conference and was impressed by the location, room size, friendliness of the staff and the hotel bar/restaurant. They even have a free hotel shuttle to and from the airport. The location is across the street from the Statehouse which is a must see. During the week in the summer there are free concerts at night on the lawn of the Statehouse and then the best farmer’s market on Statehouse. I had a room that looked out at the Statehouse. It had a sitting room and separate bedroom. The room included a microwave and small fridge. There was a large TV, chair, desk and couch in the sitting room and then another TV, king bed, chair, armoire and two nightstands in the bedroom. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower with great lighting. Our group really enjoyed the hotel bar/restaurant - especially the Happy Hour. However be sure to visit all of the restaurants and bars in the area! There is a large indoor pool with a great sitting area and fitness center. While I was there for a business conference I would definitely go back with family or just couples. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

Great location right across from capital. Rooms large, comfortable, and very quiet. Everything feels pretty high quality. Fitness room is really nice and spacious. But overall this was a great hotel and we’d definitely stay again.

The bathroom is small and nothing to write home about, and the shower temperature was unpredictable. (I took several showers that were sort of lukewarm even on the hottest setting.) Would love some free weights in the fitness room.

Inquired about early check in before trip. Was told it was possible if rooms were ready. Upon arrival, around 3pm was told front desk that lots of rooms were ready but it was $25 to check in early. No one mentioned this when we inquired about early check in before the trip and no other hotel has ever charged me for early check in.

We were visiting our son who lives and works in Madison and stayed at the Best Western Premier Park Hotel for 3 nights. This hotel is located right across the street from the Capitol and is walking distance from Monona Terrace, both lakes as well as a ton of shops, restaurants and bars. I could not have imagined a more perfect location. I had reservations about staying at a Best Western as the brand is not high on my list normally but this one blew me out of the water. It was a beautiful hotel and the staff were all very attentive, from the valet and bell hops to the front desk and the bartenders and servers in the Post (the onsite restaurant). The fitness center and indoor pool area were huge and well equipped with anything you could possibly need. I booked a King view room and it was beautful. the room was spacious and the view of the lake was spectacular! The room and facilities were very clean, although the carpets could use a refresh but otherwise everything was updated and well maintained. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when we visit next.

The room was amazing, really beautifully appointed and comfortable. The location is perfect as well, close to everything downtown Madison has to offer. The restaurant was delicious and the staff was attentive. Just a lovely stay all around.

The property was beautiful. The parking was nice.

The room I booked was supposed to have a view but did not. I paid extra for the view and they stuck me on the back of the property on the second floor. There was no view to speak of. I was basically at street level next to a restaurant. I was supposed to get a decent view of the capitol or some water or something. It was the whole reason we were staying there. And the "heated" pool was cold.

I didn’t know that parking was only valet $30/night. Didn’t see that on any of the disclosures. The front desk ladies weren’t really friendly. Especially at check out they kind of blew me off and wanted to go back to their conversation with each other.

I travel frequently and typically stay at five-star hotels, so I’ll admit I arrived a bit skeptical. That said, I was pleasantly surprised! The property is beautifully maintained and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and breakfast at the restaurant and everything was fantastic. Although parking is an additional cost, I absolutely loved the valet service—it made coming and going effortless. A wonderful stay overall and I would absolutely recommend this property!

The location was perfect. One block from a nice restaurant (Graze), three blocks from the Overture Center. The room provided a nice view of the city and lake.

I understand the location requires valet parking, I prefer parking myself.

Great location, basic rooms, clean, expensive for what it is. Not flexible with late checkouts. The restaurant is not worth it. The bar/restaurant needs a major facelift + a new menu. They have events on the top floor; they should make that the bar area. The service was amazing the first time we stayed; however, the last time was mediocre at best. The bellhop team was so kind and helpful, and they should get a lot of shout-outs! We didn't use the amenities, but they looked very nice and clean.

This hotel is in a prime location with easy walking to the attractions we were there to see. This is also the best kept and cleanest hotel I've been to. Staff was great too.

The location was great for exploring downtown Madison and the capital. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Really nice view out to the lake.

We normally keep a light on in the bathroom, unfortunately the setup of the door caused this to let way too much light in the room while sleeping.

The suites are a good size, the staff is very responsive and the location can’t be beat.

The bedroom pillows are kind of lumpy and uncomfortable. Also, our breakfast was late and was missing something.

The hotel is beautiful, and we had a lovely view of the capitol. This is our second stay at the property. We like the location, view, daily housekeeping, and coffee and water in the lobby. The pool and exercise equipment are both top notch.

We had to buy coffee in the restaurant the first morning of our stay as almond milk isn’t complimentary. It would also be nice to have a nice warm shower at the pool.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was so convenient, right on the capital square. The valet parking was excellent and well worth it since we were coming and going a lot. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was large and very nice. We ate several meals at the restaurant and they were all good.

Beautiful hotel, great location to Badger events and loved getting to the farmer's market Saturday morning. Loved the room- it was spacious with a living room and pullout sofa for our teen. The bed was a bit too firm for my taste but we were happy with the hotel and plan to stay again.

Staff was friendly and accommodating as we got in early and they helped have our room ready. Location was great by capitol and nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Pool looked nice though we didn’t go in. Heard the food was good but we didn’t get a chance to dine at Post. Lively bar scene with good happy hour deals. Room was very clean and comfortable. Air worked great. Would stay again.

My daughter and I had a great stay. Very close to all entertainment areas, State Street, and the UW Union. There are many nice dining options in the vicinity. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommend it.

We stayed here when in town for a concert at the Orpheum and what a treat it was! Valet service staff were amazing and made check in, and check out quick and easy and fit our needs. Desk staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfy. The hotel is in easy walking proximity to the Orpheum, State St and right there in Capitol Square. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else while in Madison. Thank you!

I was in Madison for two nights on business and wanted a hotel somewhere close to bars and restaurants. This hotel ticked that box perfectly. There is a a great deal of choice within a short walking distance. The hotel itself is nice. It has an old school feel about it. The rooms are comfortable. My room had an amazing outlook to the State Capital Building. The staff were great especially the valet team. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Madison. Don’t be put off by the connection to Best Western , this one is amazing.

Room was clean and opened directly to the pool which was ideal for our little one. Location was great for the children's museum, capitol building, farmers market, and a walk down State St.

Have stayed at Best Western Hotels for many years and always enjoyed them. Not this one. Was very expensive and breakfast was not included! Thought that was standard for BW. In the room, found food on the floor from the last occupant. No glass glasses in the room. Received only partial room service. Had to ask for towels. Not at all satisfied. Only good thing was that valet service was excellent. Would be glad to talk to BW Customer Service.

We came to see a concert at Breese Stevens Field. This hotel was walking distance to the concert, and to restaurants and shopping around town. Was a brief, but fun stay.

Wasn't interested in having to valet my car but that was only option to park on site.

We have stayed here before always a relaxing stay. Alway get view of our Capital of Wisconsin.

Every staff member was awesome. Hotel was very clean and quiet. We we're celebrating my wife's birthday and staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Plus, located near amazing restaurants.

Location - great. Directly across from the state capitol. Lots of places to eat around, and a block to State Street Mall, leading down to the university campus. The hotel was very nicely done, rooms were comfortable while being a bit small, but my king room had a comfy chair in it. The value, I felt, was phenomenal. The room was very clean, and even though the hotel was full due to an Ironman race weekend, I never heard any noise in my room. The front desk was very helpful. There was parking on site and a nice restaurant in the lobby. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Madison.

Overall the hotel was very good experience. Our only issue was in the restaurant. When we checked in on Friday afternoon we decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. Even though we had a party of nine, it should not have taken over an hour to get our food. Also, the server never came over to update us about the delay. The next day, two of us attempted to eat breakfast in the restaurant. We seated ourselves, but no one ever came over to wait on us. So we left. We were really disappointed that we couldn't enjoy a meal in the hotel.
