Air conditioner extremely loud.

The breakfast was really nice and the overall experience in the room was excellent.

The ice water provided in the lounge was good, but the hot water served during breakfast tasted a little weird. The flow of shower water was a bit too fast, but not a big deal.

The Hyatt Place downtown is a 2 star hotel, not 3. Room was filthy, sheets smelled like bleach, everything was old and broken.

Room was very clean and quiet (high floor). It was more spacious than I expected it to be. Breakfast was good—the usual hotel options. Bonus there was a small outdoor space with table and chairs. Would definitely stay here again.

Location great, staff friendly, price awesome the room was spacios clean & very welcoming. We arrived very early & the staff even helped us with a method of waving the early arrival fee. Breakfast was fairly typical of a American Hotel.. No complaints. Location is unbeatable, staff recommended great restaurants, the Irish bar up the road has an amazing selection of draft beers & great food.

The gentlemen at the front desk (from Italy, I’m sorry I can’t remember his name) was the nicest, most helpful and welcoming person I met at the hotel. Everyone was nice, but he went above and beyond.

Standard Hyatt near the state capitol. Underground parking not unreasonable price (used to be free). Fridge in room is convenient. Simple but adequate breakfast offering.

We went to art on the square and the hotel was a convenient distance from the capital. The room had an accessible roll-in shower and had enough room for a scooter. Wonderful!

The front desk supervisor was one of the most incompetent person i ever meet in my life

Booked thru the booking.com, got there and made me wait for 1 and half for the incompetent supervisor to come and open the system to find my reservation, even when I had to confirmation and payment on my phone

Breakfast was fine

Communication with staff was less than optimal. Our microwave caught fire. The service department was fast and efficient and tried to replace it but the new model did not fit and they provided us with a countertop replacement. The front desk staff tried to give us a new room (at our request), but they were all booked. They then said that they would adjust the bill to reflect the problem. Even though I reminded the front desk staff (manager) re the adjustment to the bill several days before checking out - there was no record of the fire in our account, no mention of an adjustment. Staff said they would fix this. A second staff member the next day was unable to do anything. Again, at checkout there was no adjustment to the bill, with the staff member saying that they would contact us within a day. No follow up contact. Three calls to the hotel were not returned. I finally received a call back from someone who did not know anything about the incident. They offered points to be deposited in my account. This didn't happen. A follow up call resulted in another person saying that points would be deposited in account. I tried to access my account and was told that it had been closed in 2016 (!) and obviously no points were deposited. While the location of this hotel was great, we will not be returning to it due to the very poor staff communication.

What’s great location! We only stay here when visiting Madison. Everything is so nice and the staff are so friendly. This trip we had 2 small children and a dog and we never felt like we were an issue for them. One front desk staff said she likes the energy our little boys brought!!

The Hyatt Place was perfect for our visit. The staff at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. The location was ideal, since we were visiting Madison for a biking vacation. We were able to park the car and bike directly from the hotel. There is safe and easy access to the Capital City Trail and the Southwest Commuter Path from the hotel. It is also an easy walk to restaurants near the capital building and along State Street. The rooms were clean and large enough to store our bikes. There were a lot of kids and some dogs on our floor, but noise was never an issue. The kids seemed to like the pool on the first floor. We are already planning to return next year.

The hotel was a convenient location, rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast could use some improvement in selection. Forest at the front desk is very kind and helpful

Very nice budget-friendly hotel in Downtown just blocks from both the Capitol building and the UW campus. Hotel is clean and the room was very comfortable. The 2-Queen room was plenty spacious, which left two taller individuals were very comfortable with room to stretch out. Breakfast was good. Nothing stood out so it was right where it should be for the price.

This is a lovely place that is well situated within walking distance of the State Capitol, a multitude of good to great restaurants, museums, music and comedy venues and for a longer walk that's easy, UW of Madison campus (which is lovely and sometimes has free live music).

Friendly, helpful, professional staff. Clean rooms and public spaces, and convenient onsite paid parking. Great location within easy walking distance of UofW, the capital building, and loads of restaurants.

Check in with Matteo is always pleasant, the breakfast is great and kept clean and neat, I like that. The rooms are clean and large with the extra seating area which we really like if hanging out in the room. Location is excellent for the things we like to do...visit the Student Union, enjoy a gyro, biking trails, walking options like around the capitol square, meeting locals...MSN is a great city.!!!

Very central location to food, shops and shuttles to Epic Campus. Staff was amazing, room was clean and great! Would absolutely stay here again for business or for personal traveling!

Had a one night stay after UW Madison graduation. Great staff at check-in and held our bags for us till room ready. Very comfortable room. Very nice breakfast. Perfect location.

This hotel was very good. Probably the best hotel breakfast I have seen. It has a good location. It has nice common areas for seating. Parking is handy with no charge for going in and out. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The room was very clean. Had extra couch we did not need it.The bed was very comfy. The person checking us in was very nice, and helpful. Told us about places to eat that was close by. We went to Coopers tavern . Food was excellent. Would go back again.

French toast It was cold, I did not see a microwave to heat it. There was a girl cleaning should have asked her about it. Just found something else. Had a big selection of food.

At first, it was a bit confusing because the layout of the hotel. However, once I figured it out, let’s stay was awesome. The bed was The staffing was nice. The food was surprisingly good. The manager took the time to bring my food and drink up to my room requested time which is unheard of. Absolutely will come back.

Overall a really nice hotel and great location. The staff was super friendly and it was within the UW Madison campus and walkable distance to State Street, the Capitol, the ice hockey rink and many restaurants and shops. Breakfast was generous with variety and it was a good value for the money.

Limited housekeeping. During a 3 night stay, had to request towels and toilet paper.

The common/gathering space in lobby was great. Lots of comfortable seating in many configurations. The water pressure in the shower was a dream!

Arrived 35 minutes before check in time (booked 2 rooms for 2 nights - approx $1500). A room was ready but we were told that we'd have to pay a $25 early check in fee. I felt that it was just a money grab so we sat in the lobby for half hour. It was a big negative to me and I will definitely consider other brands ahead of Hyatt when booking travel again. It wasn't about the amount of the early fee but the fact that you could have done something at no cost to you to show customer appreciation. A fee for late check may make sense but this seemed entirely unnecessary for such a small amount if time. If I had been told the room wasn't ready... no problem.

Was in Madison for a basketball game at the Kohl Center. This is a great location because you can walk past many drinking establishments on the way to the game or the way back. The staff was super friendly and helpful even though I was cheering for the other team.
