Hotel non vicino al centro di Newport. Camera di media grandezza con tutti i comfort. Colazione all'americana che predilige il salato al dolce. Pur arrivando con 2 ore di anticipo lo staff ci ha messo subito a disposizione la camera.

Extremly poor breakfast, not replenished quickly enough, had to wait for basic stuff like bread, eggs and bacon, only one waffle machine and disgusting coffee. Stayed in many similar hotels and this was the worst so far... Was accommodated in an interconnected room- I could hear everything what was going on in the room next door, zero privacy.

The room was so spacious for a group of four and multiple mirrors in the room to sinks and a nice balcony. I went to the pool and jacuzzi—It was great.

The breakfast was OK. I’ve had better hotel breakfast before he kind of feels like you’re picking up snacks. You had to make your own waffles and I feel like they should have more hot food on display. I didn’t like the presentation. It felt like a banquet but it wasn’t bad. Also, I felt like we were charged a lot for two nights. The total came out to $955. I felt like for two nights that’s a little bit excessive

I didn't expect to stay in a hotel so well-rated by other travelers, but this Howard Johnson hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was so clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet offered many different selections.

Struttura molto carina e personale gentilissimo! La stanza era molto spaziosa e i letti comodi... unica pecca un solo bagno per sette persone. La colazione era molto semplice ma buona, con la macchina del tè e del caffè disponibile h24.

Lo spazio per la colazione era abbastanza ristretto e collocato direttamente all'ingresso della struttura ma nel complesso è una struttura che consiglierei.

We stayed in room 203. We loved everything, and it breaks our hearts to say, that unfortunately, the mattress in our bed was not the best. it gave us both sciatica pain and for some reason the mattress seemed smaller than the bed frame

La climatizzazione per fortuna si poteva regolare in autonomia altrimenti ci saremmo congelati a luglio. La camera non era male, positiva la presenza del microonde. Piscina e solarium buoni. Struttura comoda a supermercati e fast food.

La struttura sembra una nave da crociera. Corridoi lunghissimi stretti e scuri. Scelto questo albergo per la colazione, ma è stata deludente. Andate a mangiare da ihop, li vicino, che mangiate meglio. Se avete bisogno del clima sappiate che punta direttamente sulla testiera del letto e il rumore è insopportabile, ma per fortuna non è centralizzato e potete spegnerlo.

They attempt to look good.

They are very particular with their parking as in you cannot park anywhere, which is weird. The hotel is in sections and they are far from everything and our wing was a pain to get too. There is no main elevator,l. The pictures are not representative of the hotel rooms.

The Management and Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facility was very clean, and quiet. We are so glad that we chose the HOJO. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Super friendly and helpful with suggestions of where to go. Loved the shuttle that was offered. Beds were really comfy and the rooms were incredibly clean. We truly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Because we were traveling for a family wedding, there was a group of us staying there. We all gathered at night for a nightcap. Just wished there was a nice outdoor space we could have been able to go to instead of just the lobby.

Very, very noisy. Yelling in halls, slamming doors, people trying to open our door - all up to and after midnight for 3 days. Walls are paper thin. Hoards of people at free breakfast of fake eggs, terrible tasting waffles and brown bananas. Housekeeping knocking on our door to talk to us even though we had ‘do not disturb sign’ hanging on doorknob and it was not yet checkout time.

We thought the breakfast was nice. Great that it started at 6 am for early birds. A very convenient service.

Absolutely amazing and clean

Not necessarily the property but apple bees on site was literally disgusting and ghetto with the worst customer service ever lol. It was like walking into a creepy town in the middle of the west . They literally acted like they were zombies .

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We all slept quite well! Easy to check in and we were able to park close to our entry door.

For a total bill of $575 for ONE night I felt the breakfast was lacking. There were only children's type breakfast cereals, there was no cut fresh fruit available, and there was NO breakfast meat. (Remember, we paid $600!) There were breakfast fajitas with peppers and onions, neither of which I can eat. On the plus side the two women helping with the breakfast very thoughtfully asked if they could make me a cheese omelet, which I accepted. It still lacked bacon or sausage!

We have stayed at the best western express, Holiday Inn Express, and Howard Johnsons, over the past 7 states on our long road trip, in comparison to all the other hotels, the breakfast quality at this hotel was poor, all the food seemed cheap and bottom of the barrel the whirlpool spa appearance was kinda gross and the water inside questionable, the layout of the facility was strange, moving from long hallways with large doors to another. The aesthetics of the room were nice but I would prefer a clean comfortable room/bed and some good food before heading out.

On the positive side, the hotel was clean and fairly priced. The pool area and outdoor seating spaces were well-maintained and offered a pleasant place to relax. While there were no coffee makers in the room, complimentary coffee was available 24/7 in the lobby. The continental breakfast was well stocked with a variety of items, and staff kept the area replenished throughout the morning. It’s also important to note that the property does not have elevators, so travelers with mobility challenges may want to call ahead to ensure appropriate accommodations.

Based on this experience, I’m not sure I would stay here again. While the hotel was clean, fairly priced, and the daytime staff was nice, the nighttime staffing issues and the way the domestic disturbance next door was handled left me hesitant about returning. About 20 minutes after we arrived, there was a domestic disturbance in the room next door (Room 120), and police responded. Although management staff were present, they did not appear to assist the officers constructively. They stood nearby, and the person who seemed to be the manager was holding a bag of garbage & greeting people instead of monitoring the situation. I even had to alert an officer that the individual causing the disturbance was approaching him from behind while he was questioning others. As a suggestion, it may be beneficial for staff to receive a refresher course in Crisis Management and Risk Reduction within a hospitality environment. Daytime staff were professional and conversational, but the night shift seemed understaffed or overwhelmed. We waited over two hours for extra pillows, and after being placed on hold twice for more than 15 minutes, I had to locate a hotel worker myself. Thankfully, he was extremely kind and helpful, even fixing our TV remote. Despite his great attitude, it was clear he was stretched thin — I saw him cleaning outside, watering plants, and then rushing inside to assist guests. Considering it was around 10 p.m. and the hotel appeared busy, more staff should have been available to support him. It was also evident that he was physically exhausted; he was sweating heavily, and his face was extremely red, yet he remained professional, polite, and conversational - that is, someone who is dedicated, & the hotel should be proud that he is their employee. ( I think his name was Dave)

The bathroom sink was very small - no area to place sundries, etc. Breakfast was very good however there was no protein (sausage/bacon) offered at the time we were there. Staff was very pleasant and helpful with the elevator for my husband to access the breakfast area from the 1st floor to the lobby level. Thank you very much.

Unassuming as we pulled up but interior was modern and extremely clean! Faux wood floors in the room make it so much cleaner. Front desk staff was pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend if traveling in the area.

Clearly an older property but it has been nicely updated and the photos on Booking are a true representation. Lots of nearby businesses, grocery, pharmacy, local, and chain restaurants. No more than 10 minutes to the USNWC gate.

Initially wasn’t going to knock the property for the lady smoking weed (it‘s apparently legal) however, they had a butt can right by the door to our section of the building which prompted smoking in the area. Walking repeatedly through a cloud while loading our car could have been avoided if there was a designated smoking area away from the building.

I was absolutely amazed by the hotel. I was really impressed by how up-to-date, clean and comfortable the hotel was! The location is right in the heart of Middletown, close to restaurants and shops. The drive to Newport takes about 10 minutes and is really easy. Beds were comfortable and the place is super pet friendly! We loved being able to take our dog right out the slider door.

I would love to see a bit better breakfast with a few more choices, but really other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The Closest Affordable Hotel to Newport in Middletown with Breakfast, Pool, Hot Tub, & Sauna. Rooms are Clean & Updated as well.

Location next to park was convenient to walk the dog. Applebee's being attached was convenient too.

Check in and check out super easy and friendly. Breakfast was great with many options including gluten free and dairy free. Rooms extremely clean. This has become our new home away from home while traveling in the area.

This hotel is located in a very convenient location within short driving distance to downtown Newport. The hotel is adorned with newer modern accessories and furniture/rooms. Comfortable rooms and beds. The only noteworthy thing I should mention is that there wasn't any exhaust fans in the bathroom that we could see, which completely left the entire mirror fogged up after showering. Other than that, I would definitely recommend for any looking for a nice stay in the Newport area.

Breakfast was overall okay, nothing spectacular. Egg omelette could have had some cheese or some kind of meat in them instead of just plain.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, King-size Bett, die obere Etage ist pet-free, Erdgeschoß auch gern mit Hund, Frühstück mit Muffins, Bacon und Rührei und gutem Kaffee war eine positive Überraschung. Gleich im Gebäude ist ein Applebee's mit guter Küche zu akzeptablen Preisen.

Der Toilettenpapierhalter war defekt, der Fernseher nicht smart. Mehr gibt's nicht zu sagen

Our kids live in Newport and we finally found a nice quality place to stay that we can afford. The service, rooms, breakfast, exercise room and pool were excellent.
