The hotel was beautiful and the man at the reception was awesome, so nice with everyone and he was helping everyone with everything. The bed was very comfortable and the room was big with a huge tv. We also loved the bathroom and the coffee.

It was very clean and close to everything

Rooms are great, beds are comfy, great pool area!!

only downfall of this hotel is no elevator- and even knowing they don't have one Ive been back twice !

Modern

The hotel was clean and had everything we needed. Coffee pods, water fountains, water bottles, clean rooms. The front desk staff was kind and allowed us to check in early. I would stay here again! Not to mention, the on-site restaurant had great dinner options.

The outdoor seating and the pool were wonderful! The restaurant and all staff were great. The lobby was very inviting and the room was comfortable.

The lighting in the room wasn’t great and the TV selections were very limited. If there was an option to sign into our Netflix account, I didn’t see it.

Nice renovation, decent price considering the area, while not being too far from downtown Newport.

No elevators. No big deal for me despite heavy suitcases, but certainly a problem for a lot of elderly or disabled people. Unsure why the property (and the brand) are not considering installing one, I suppose this is against regulations and somehow discriminatory. Unless their is a dedicated elevator for disabled perosns, not accessible to other customers, in which case this would be fine.

The staff especially Radu were so helpful. The facility was newly renovated and you could tell the workers took pride in the renovation as we spoke to the chief engineer. The common spaces were bright and airy and a very overall pleasant and affordable stay for the area.

Loved everything.

Large room and very large bathroom. Cooked to order breakfast (included) was a plus!

AC was a noisy. Room felt damp. we think the carpet had just been shampooed.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is great. This is our third time staying here. This year, they added a new pool and patio with fire pits that were great to sit by and have a drink at night. We will definitely be back next year.

It was conveniently located and pretty clean.

We had to go to the front desktop multiple times during our 3 night stay and ask for more coffee stuff, towels, and toilet paper. The 1st guy was really nice even carried the towels to our room. The 2nd guy was rude and stingy.

This was our sixth stay in 18 months. The Pell really feels like a second home. The warm and friendly staff are exceptional and keep us coming back. We look forward to seeing everyone again in December!

The place is super nice and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are super helpful. The hotel design is very pretty and gives a very good vibe for the vacation. I can’t wait for the pool to be finished so we can come back again!

Friendly staff, clean location, very accessible to Newport and cute bar/restaurant on site.

Allows dogs, there were guests who do not clean up after dogs and it was disgusting with these messes outside right near door.

Decoration

No soundproofing. I had a bedroom with a connecting door and you could hear everything. There was also then construction work at the hotel outside the window commencing early morning. Breakfast was poor and not good value for money. Waited ages for food to arrive. My tea arrived with just a cup and a tea bag (no hot water or milk). My husband’s omelette arrived with no cutlery. It says free parking in booking.com but we were then charged $10 which was refunded because of my complaint. Pictures show view from bedroom window.

A very comfortable and well maintained room. Fresh towels every day. A nice breakfast, dinner, and bar area. Cordial, efficient front desk staffers, and a positive vibe throughout.

Some distance from Newport’s downtown and wharf area, though only 5-10 minutes by car.

The mattresses were so comfortable and the breakfast was very good and fast.

The elegant simplicity of the hotel, the cleanliness. The design was well though out. It was a bonus to have a restaurant/bar on premises. Ample parking. We were visiting off season and the price was another added bonus.

There really was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pell. Great location- so close to all the places we went to! Clean and well maintained. Live jazz music at the restaurant was a plus!

Wish there were more choices on the food menu at hotel restaurant.

Best value in the Newport area. 8 min drive to downtown Newport at a fraction of the costs. Great staff and great rooms.

Amazing staff was kind, courageous and willing to help in any way. There was a restaurant on site and live jazz music on a Friday night.

No elevator; however, the front desk carried my suitcase upstairs for me.

We did have a problem booking up to room tv ,we were upgraded for the inconvenience but then the room door would not lock and the new room phone was not working .staff checked it out very quickly and the door was repaired the next morning.phone never worked . Las habitaciones son amplias, están muy limpias y disponen de todo lo necesario.. La cama fue muy cómoda. El hotel es moderno y bonito.

El aparato de calefacción es muy ruidoso y no nos dejaba dormir. El desayuno no es buffet, ofrecen muy poca opción con fruta (solo yogur con frutas rojas), alternativo a las demás opciones, de forma que si quieres tomar fruta, no puedes tomar tostadas o huevos, por ejemplo.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and helpful. The interior of the hotel was so welcoming, clean and updated as well. The location was perfect, we had a comfortable stay, and the value was amazing! I would definitely recommend it.

Had a few noisy closet areas near our room from the facility workers at 5 or 6am.

Had booked a King room, upon check in was assigned to a double room due to a system error. Would have been good to get confirmation of the room booked prior to arrival. Overall, staff was very friendly and accommodating to making the stay a good one.

Yet another great stay at The Pell as we visit family nearby. Everyone is fantastic and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfy. We’ve also had breakfast and dinner there. Consistent service and food. Look forward to our next stay.

Fabulously renovated, clean, & quick drive to Newport.

We liked very much that it was so very clean. The personell in front desk was so friendly and helpful. Jesse in the restaurant was so nice to us. He gave the best service possible. Really a man who made our stay special. We booked two nights, liked it so much that we stayed four nights. Thank you for the very best service to all the staff. Sincerely, Anders

This is our third time in six months staying at The Pell. We discovered it when our Airbnb rental fell through—and what a find! Erik (manager) and his staff are incredibly friendly, and together with the great food, atmosphere, and clean rooms, we keep coming back. We’ve stayed during the holidays, off season, and peak season, and each stay has been terrific!
