Entrance was welcoming. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and clean.

Nice hotel, nicely reachable close to the highway. The rooms are quiet and very well equipped with everything you need. Also everything was super clean, and it is a great value for the money you pay.

The breakfast was good but the breakfast area is small and as the hotel was fully booked it was really busy in the mornings. So one had to queue up for getting to the breakfast buffet and sometimes tables to eat at were scarce.

Honestly my expectations were low. Michigan game weekend so prices were 5 times normal and the reviews just said the place was very clean. An independent facility. It was actually very nice. Not 5 star but met all of our needs for the weekend.

The overnight staff was as rude as anyone I have encountered in travel. We had a long day of flights and a 3 1/2 hour drive. We got in at 1:00 AM and were ready for bed. We had three rooms reserved and the second we came in my wife gave our name and she immediately without looking said we didn't have any rooms booked. When she finally looked she found my room. Although I booked all three rooms we had to give her individual names to find the other two. Each time she started with no we didn't have rooms booked. There were even vacancies! She was on some type of power trip and it took another person coming to the front to get her to act professional. She has no place in the service industry.

Very dated. Carpet stained and faded, floors sticky. Air conditioning unit old and did not work well, air was humid. Was just not that comfortable. Renovations would do wonders to the place.

The first room we were given smelled like there were gallons of bleach spilled and had an ozone machine going. The second room was by the pool so our air-conditioning tucked chlorine into the room. The air-conditioner was so loud we barely slept. Should have left but we did not have the energy to find another hotel. $250 wasted.

The facility was clean, with a great pool and jacuzzi. My room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly.

The rooms are very clean and maintained to the highest standard. The staff are equally efficient, professional, and effective. The breakfast includes hot food such as eggs, sausage, potatoes and waffles in addition to cereal, bagels, juice and great coffee. The atmosphere is relaxing which makes you feel like your at home. Very peaceful retreat.

The breakfast selection was limited and coffee could have been better quality. Although coffee was available throughout the day which was appreciated.

We had to pivot from camping plans due to wildfire smoke and needed a hotel. This place is GREAT. Clean rooms, friendly people, a pool table and nice pool and hot tub, and plenty of space in the parking lot for our truck and small RV. It’s close to good food (check out Detroit Filling Station) and overall a great, local establishment. Stay here instead of a big chain!

The attendants were very efficient. The designated breakfast area is quite small & difficult to maneuver.

Great experience!! The hot tub in the room worked fabulous! The room was clean everything worked well had no complaints. The breakfast was delicious! Biscuits and gravy on a weekday with sausage potatoes and an omelette was a treat considering most hotels only do that on the weekends. All of the staff was extremely helpful. The pool and the hot tub were clean and beautiful. The grounds are beautifully kept up on. The location is perfect. Guaranteed if you need something it's within a 5-minute Drive. All of the cool stuff to do is within a 15 minute drive of the hotel. All in all this has to be one of the best affordable Jacuzzi room s we've been to. We will most definitely be back again!!

Great location and amenities (kids loved the game area), rooms are very clean, staff is friendly. However, the breakfast area is way too small. They have a gym and my teenager wanted to use it, but he tried several times , and every time there was the same barefoot guy either sitting on the floor eating food (a meal) or lying on the floor doing nothing. This made my kid uncomfortable and concerned about hygiene. The front desk said there was no rule against having food in the gym which surprised me.

They tried to scam me out of $250. For a smoking fee. Never smoked in a room. Always take pictures before you leave this facility. The housekeeper couldn’t understand I need a toilet paper. But somehow she understood ashes. On a bedspread. But no smell of smoke. I’m so glad my credit card company. Trust me. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never been charged for a smoking fee. One of the easy disputes ever. Next time you wanna try to charge somebody a smoking fee, Mr. Lee. You might want to do a thorough investigation. And clean out those nasty AC units. Blowing dust everywhere.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at the Ann Arbor Regent Hotel & Suites was wonderful from beginning to end. The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and an incredible value for the price. What truly made our stay exceptional was Sway, the night manager. We had originally booked a king room, but when more people joined us for our trip, the staff graciously accommodated our request to switch to a room with two queen beds. Their kindness and flexibility were greatly appreciated. Sway went above and beyond in helping our family. We were in town looking for an apartment for my daughter, who will be attending the University of Michigan this fall. She took the time to encourage us to research the apartment community we had planned to tour and suggested we read the reviews first. Thanks to her genuine concern and honesty, we reconsidered our plans and ultimately found a wonderful apartment community where my daughter will hopefully begin this exciting new chapter of her life. That kind of care and compassion is something you don't often find, and it meant more to our family than she probably realizes. Although we didn't have time to enjoy the pool and hot tub, they looked beautiful, and we hope to take advantage of them during our next visit. We will definitely be staying at the Ann Arbor Regent Hotel & Suites again when we return in August. Thank you, Sway, and the entire staff, for making our stay so memorable and for treating us with such kindness. You helped make an important milestone in our family's life even more special.

The only small drawback during our stay was the breakfast area. The breakfast itself was delicious, with a nice variety of options, and everything was well stocked. However, the serving area and dining space were quite small, making it feel a bit crowded during the busy morning hours. We found the space a little claustrophobic when several guests were trying to get breakfast at the same time. That said, it certainly wouldn't keep us from staying here again. The outstanding staff, beautiful accommodations, and overall experience far outweighed this minor inconvenience.

This hotel is beautifully appointed and meticulously clean. Every employee we encountered was friendly. We wish this hotel existed in every city we visit. Especially convenient was the separate entrance for each area of the hotel. We also enjoyed the beautiful gardens and gazebo outside of the pool area. On this extended trip we have stayed in 10 hotels. This was without question the best.

This is an old school hotel and I mean that in the best possible way. They still have a game-room and a pool and the staff cares. Its the sort of place you might bring your kids as a "getaway" even though you live in town. It's not a fancy hotel, it's not an expensive hotel. It is one of the most charming hotels I've been to since the 80s. Well done. Keep it up

We tried to take some balloons and a cake into this place and they wouldn't even let us bring them in for a little 4 year old birthday this place need to shut down you can even bring balloons into a hospital we will never be back

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Ann Arbor Regent Hotel & Suites and it never disappoints, the building and it's surroundings are keep in excellent condition, the rooms are clean and the area is convenient to shopping and dining. The staff of the Ann Arbor Regent are very friendly. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to the area

Everything was fine except the TV in the sitting area of our room didn't work. Went to front desk 3 times to let them know. Same person each time. She was more concerned with her phone than our satisfaction. I even changed the batteries in the remote myself. Not once did anyone attempt to fix the issue. She probably never noted it

I was very disappointed that there were ants in the room. When I told the front desk, she advised she did not think there was anything that they could do but she would let maintenance know. Maintenance showed up several hours later and did spray for ants.

The staff are great! Breakfast also pretty good! Hot breakfast available. Waffle maker is a bonus! Pool, hot tub, gym and a relaxing patio are why we stay here everytime we're in the area. The only weird thing is that for the last couple of bookings, we stayed 2 nights. Our room was not cleaned. We had to get towels from the front. The do not disturb sign was in our room. Not sure what we did wrong. No biggie. Just weird. On another note: Room 1101 bathroom light is blinking, air con is making clanking noise, and the toilet tank is busted. Need to jiggle the chain to fill the tank and jiggle again to stop the water. I forgot to let the manager know before we checked out. Still, it's all fixable. We will stay here again!

Toiletries are minimal, but most hotels are not even providing toiletries anymore. Overall, nothing to really complain about. More variety at breakfast would be nice.

We like the location of this hotel. It is clean and quiet. There is a beautiful pool and spa area with large windows overlooking a courtyard that is beautifully landscaped. Be careful, as the tile floor deck is very slippery when wet. I was disappointed that they only have plastic ware for breakfast. Making hot oatmeal in a plastic bowl is a recipe for microplastic contamination. It also would be nice if they kept a small Keurig out for guests to make their own decaf coffee at breakfast rather than having to ask staff to do it on a cup by cup basis. We like the no pets aspect to this hotel. I would have given it a 5 star if they were more health and environmentally conscious. Please no plastic plates or bowls!

This places isn't a 4.4 star the working have to be doing the review I took some balloons to the hotel to check in and they told are family we couldn't have balloons and I said what who don't let people bring balloons on there room this place is a joke we had a cake and balloons for my 4 year old granddaughter birthday I will never be back

The hotel clean the room and make up the bed daily without requesting it. The staffs are polite and friendly. The furnishing style is like early 21st century, but all facillities are well maintained.

I love staying here. The breakfast is great, the workout room has decent equipment, there is a real coffee maker in the room - not one of those annoying single serving kind, the staff is terrific, the room is quiet, the location is convenient, etc.

The outside of the hotel looks really nice and the room was fine. The inside of the hotel as far as the hallways and game room were very dated. the carpet in the hallway hallways was not pulled tight so you could’ve easily tripped over it. For $180 a night, I would expect something a little bit nicer than this.
