Quiet hotel with large rooms and nice staff. Good value for a short visit. It is about 25 min walk from MIT or Harvard campus and by a small park next to the river.

Far away from Metro Red Line and every other type of public transport (20 min from Central station). The food in the restaurant was terrible with unfriendly staff. The Wi-Fi requires an account by Marriot and I couldn’t register with their system for some reason so I had to relay on very slow public network instead.

The lobby and room were both very clean. I travel a lot for work and did feel like this room was on the cleaner side of what I've seen during my travels around the US/Canada. The staff were also really nice. I appreciated that they let me check in early when I asked to just drop my bags early and they allowed me to store my luggage the last day when I had to leave for work meetings.

The one downside is there was a strange noise that I kept hearing in my room. I still don't know what it was. I did call the front desk during day two see if there was maybe something below my room that might be causing it but the lady I spoke to (who was very nice) did not know what was causing it. She did offer to bring up ear plugs which was very nice. But overall I was really happy with the hotel and would be willing to stay again.

The vent fan in the bathroom didn’t work. We reported it on the 2nd day of our stay but, it was never repaired.

I liked the breakfast. I liked the $32. coupon. I liked the destination of the hotel.

Definitely I didn’t like that I had to pay to park even after I already paid for the room. I didnt like that I was charged a destination fee on top of what I already paid for the room. I didn’t like that no one told me that I would be charged that fee. I didn’t like that there’s no free Wi-Fi without having to sign up for it.

Das Frühstückskonzept hat uns leider nicht überzeugt. Anstelle eines Frühstücksbuffets erhält man einen Gutschein und muss sich das Frühstück selbst im Restaurant aussuchen und kaufen. Für uns war das umständlich und entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen an ein Hotelfrühstück. Außerdem wurden Einweg-Plastikbesteck und Plastikbecher verwendet. Das wirkte weder hochwertig noch besonders umweltfreundlich. Die Parkgebühren empfanden wir ebenfalls als hoch. Uns ist bewusst, dass dies für Cambridge vermutlich nicht ungewöhnlich ist, dennoch hätten wir uns günstigere oder im Zimmerpreis enthaltene Parkmöglichkeiten gewünscht.

The AC unit took a long time to cool the room. This was even despite a friendly maintenance member coming to assess the unit. I was able to stay comfortable, but the unit might need to be updated.

Will not recommend. We were hit with a $32 destination fee which we didn’t agree on. Then they give you a $32 cruder to use at the bistro that we didn’t use. Reached out to the front desk and was told that the fee was bonded into the contract with TripAdvisor. Searching everywhere and didn’t see such thing. We were still disputing the charge and requesting a refund for that amount

Easy check-in- helpful staff answered all our questions.

The $32 credit that was charged first and then offered for us to use at the bar/breakfast. That was a surprise. Usually we like to chose how we spend our money.

Will stay here again. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast looked great but we were unable to stay to enjoy it.

I came in through the parking lot door and I didn’t think that was very nice. That made me worry that we had chosen a place that wasn’t so nice. But the rooms and breakfast are were very nice.

Le crédit de 32 $ pour le petit-déjeuner (pour deux personnes) s’est avéré inadapté à notre situation. En effet, je ne prends pas de petit-déjeuner, contrairement à ma femme. Or, sa consommation quotidienne s’élevait à environ 15 $, ce qui signifie que nous n’avons jamais pu atteindre le montant du crédit alloué. Nous avons donc rapidement constaté qu’il était impossible de récupérer la différence non utilisée. Au final, je me retrouve avec sept tickets de petit-déjeuner non utilisés, mais néanmoins facturés, sans possibilité de remboursement selon la réception de l’hôtel. Certains équipements de la salle de sport étaient hors service.

We resided at the courtyard for two weeks in late February and early March 2026. The stay proved challenging for our family, as I was frequently away and my husband had to care for our 13‑month‑old daughter entirely on his own. We are deeply grateful for the exceptionally kind assistance we received from Sandra at the front desk, David from the restaurant, and Ace from the security team. They made us feel welcomed and supported, and brought us great joy. We look forward to return and sincerely hope to see them in person again.

Location is convenient to Harvard. Clean rooms. The staff are lovely and generally very attentive.

Food at breakfast and in the restaurant could be much better. Breakfast is overpriced and the coffee was not potable. The only thing I wanted to eat (oatmeal) was gone before breakfast was over. Fruit in the lobby basket was 😑 . I don’t like leaving reviews unless they are positive, but this properly really needs some improvement. Staff can’t work miracles without decent resources from management.

Overall great location! Not far from the city at all and parking available on site for 43$. Totally worth it to be honest! We didn’t notice until morning our sheets had some what looked like coffee stains- but since we didn’t notice sooner we didn’t put forth a complaint. Quiet and polite staff. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing.

The comforter on the bed was not good as it was not really made and in three pieces. Also the heat didn’t go lower than 70 so for sleeping it was too hot so I opened the window which got too cold:(

When I got to first room there was a very load noise from corner of room. An old air conditioner heating unit the other side or partition. After a long day having to go back down to reception to request a room change which they did is annoying

Title: Acceptable Stay, but I Would Choose a Different Hotel Next Time I stayed at the Courtyard Boston Cambridge for a few days during a business trip to Cambridge. The hotel is somewhat dated and could definitely use some modernization. The room itself was clean, which I appreciated, although the bathroom — especially the shower — felt a bit old. Unfortunately, during my stay a very large school group arrived at the hotel. As a result, it was quite noisy at times, which is not ideal when you are traveling for business and need a quiet environment. Overall, the price-performance ratio was acceptable and the stay was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. For my next trip to Boston, I will most likely choose a different hotel.

We stayed here for the Nike Volleyball tournament at the Convention Center. Jerry the manager did the best he could to make things right but this hotel stay was the WORST in my 51 years of hotel stays. I’ve stayed in other hotels in Boston and hotels in other major cities in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Costa Rica and never had a RAT in my room. The second night we were there, I was told that two of my daughter’s volleyball teammates had ‘mice’ in their rooms and were moved. We took precautions in our room (putting all food in the fridge, throwing our food garbage out in the main lobby, wiped down all surfaces with anti-bacterial wipes, and packing up and zipping our suitcases). Then I wake up to a lady yelling in the hallway about rats and having a baby in her room. We should have left that night because sure enough, the next night there was a RAT that ran by the armchair through a hole in the wall that was behind the chair. The manager moved us and comps but both Friday and Saturday night as well as for parking. But still. Worst experience ever.

I loved staying here. it's close to a TJ's which is helpful and the people at the front desk are super friendly and helpful. I felt safe coming home by myself at night and the room was inviting and clean. Deyli was especially helpful, professional, and friendly at the front desk. Would definitely come back!

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I chose this hotel both times due to its proximity to the MIT campus. The rooms are mediocre, they need renovated and updated for what they charge per night. The pillows are lumpy. They charge a $32 per day "resort fee". When you check in they give you coupons for $32 for each night you stay to use in their Japanese steakhouse (I don't like that type of food) or their morning bistro. If I am out of town and spending $32 on breakfast, I am going to go eat at a decent restaurant, not mediocre hotel breakfast food. They have sensors in the room now that "detect" smoke. I am perfectly fine with that, as I do not smoke, vape, nothing. I am having to fight a $500 charge for their smoke detector sensor going off in my room, on a day and time when I was not even in the room. The manager on duty at the time ( I didn't get his name, but it was February 17th, 2026 in the morning when I talked to him) was not helpful or friendly at all. He was not willing to help me get the charge taken off, told me it was what it was and accused me of smoking or vaping in the room. I asked him to pull hallway cameras to see that I had left the room and wasn't in the room at that time, and I was told that there are no cameras in the hallways. Very poor customer service from the manager.
