Fantastic location staff very professional friendly and welcoming
Attention to detail in the room superficial clean but dusty stains on carpet and on walls overall very dated and tired very dissapointed that the windows wouldn't open no fruit at breakfast
Location is fantastic for exploring Chester.
The rooms are dated and quite small. Significantly better ventilation is required.
The hotel is ideally located right in the centre of town, making it very convenient for exploring the local area. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, our stay was far from relaxing. The hotel felt very dated and in need of some serious attention. There were cobwebs clearly visible all around the light fittings, and even the drinking cups provided in the room were dirty. The bathroom in particular is in desperate need of refurbishment. It looked tired and poorly maintained, with the seals around the shower door actually coming away. The room was also extremely hot and uncomfortable. The windows were sealed, so there was no way of getting any fresh air into the room, and the air conditioning did not work. There was a small portable fan provided, but when we tried using it on the cool setting it made a horrendous noise, making it impossible to sleep with it running. This meant we were left with a choice between an unbearably hot room or trying to sleep with a very noisy fan. Unfortunately, I was also suffering from a migraine during our stay. Lack of sleep is a known trigger for my migraines, so the heat and inability to properly cool or ventilate the room certainly did not help. I had gone to bed hoping to rest and recover, but the fire alarm then went off and we all had to vacate the hotel. I completely appreciate that fire alarms are essential for guests’ safety and that the hotel has to take them seriously. However, we were told that the alarm had been triggered by steam from another guest’s shower, which made the disruption particularly frustrating, especially when I was already unwell. What was supposed to be a relaxing hotel stay ended up being anything but. Between the dated surroundings, poor cleanliness, bathroom desperately needing attention, an extremely hot room with no working air conditioning or usable ventilation, and then having to leave the hotel while suffering with a migraine because of an alarm triggered by shower steam, I came away feeling more stressed and tired than when I arrived.
All hotel staff very courteous & helpful
The staff were so lovely. Location absolutely amazing and a comfortable bed.
The WiFi didn’t work in my room. The plumbing was awful - the bath filled when showering and the tap took a while for the water to come out! The bar hours ate not good and I was unable to call reception as the option on the phone didn’t work. The hotel is dated and needs a major upgrade. It was VERY noisy at night as you can hear the noise from outside. I won’t stay again unfortunately and it wasn’t worth £250!
Great location
Bathroom old and needs a better clean Carpet work needs replacing Gap under door large is this meant to be a fire door ?
The location couldn't be better as it is right in the centre of the city.
The room was not clean, very dusty with lots of cobwebs on the ceilings. The furniture and carpet was worn and damaged. The bathroom sink was blocked with toothpaste and hair, we could clearly see that the plughole had not been cleaned for a long time. We asked for sink unblocker, even said we would be happy to do it ourselves, and was told someone would be sent up to do it, but this didn't happen for the entire 4-day stay. At check-in, the receptionist had no record of my booking and tried to charge me again. I had to show my bank statement and booking confirmation emails to convince her. We were booked for 4 nights, and on night 2 until the end of the trip, there was no hot water. When we asked at the desk each morning, we were told a maintenance man was either on his way or was working on it. Paid for an upgrade, but there were no Elemis toiletries provided instead it was the same brand as the standard shampoo and shower gel all bathrooms and the 'King' size bed was two beds pushed together so there was an uncomfortable gap down the middle.
not very much!
Absolutely horrendous hotel. 30+ degrees and they have no working air con.. staff say it’s been broken for months. Can’t open the windows as they have been boarded up, Tv& WiFi not working and room was Absolutely FILTHY! Excrement on the walls and the doors, filthy toilet and bathroom. Yellow stains on the bed and towels. Stunk of damp.. Make a complaint to the staff and was promised the manager would call me back.. 3 times I’ve phoned and 2 email. No call back ever happened. Save your money and go to another local hotel.. so many better and cheaper hotels available.
Just ok
No hot water. No bar open and no atmosphere
The location is perfect, not too far from chester station and it's situated right in the city.
The room was clean apart from several empty brandy bottles in one of the TV cabinet drawers. Other than that it was great.
Convenient for city centre
Creaky floorboards in room and above
Nothing, we could not get access as mother could not get up the stairs. we could not stay.
nothing we could not enter as mother can not climb the stairs
We had an issue with our toilet not flushing. This was immediately attended to by the very helpful receptionist, who organised the maintenance team to come and see what the problem was. It is an old building and it worked after he left, but just took a very long time to fill up after use. Knowing this helped. The breakfast was excellent, however, the staff did not know that we had breakfast included with our booking. The staff were very attentive, once this was rectified. The travel directions and car park arrangements worked well. Lovely big roo
We had tea and coffee in the room, but a biscuit would have been great, as we had had a long drive to get there-- 4.5 hours. We didn't know that it was Race weekend--Chester was extremely busy.
We stayed for two nights for a weekend away. We went to check in at 15.20 and given our key card. Once we entered the room, it hadn't been cleaned from previous guests. After the room was cleaned we then went to unpack as we had dinner reservations. The room was shocking and out dated. The room was still un clean after the maid had apparently cleaned. You cannot open or allow any fresh air into the room and given a crap fan. Breakfast was 3/10. Overall. Just avoid!! The staff are lovely!!
Great location, staff very friendly
Over £200 for a double room of less than average quality, I understand race days the price increases but the room was very poor. Toilet handle falling off, both taps on sink loose and door room hinges falling off frame, causing door not to open or close properly without lifting, evidence of previous poor repair using yellow screw plugs in hinges, missing screws.
The proximity to the town centre
The bathroom was poorly maintained the sink was badly cracked and poorly sealed with shabby sealent that didnt match the colour of anything , None of the window in the room could be opend not one huge fire risk , The amount of cobwebs and thick coating of dust everywhere i do have photos to back my claims up . 2 or 3 plugh sockets loose on walls no air con instead we got 2 fans that made a racket all night long so little sleep plus because not one window would open the teprature was hot and stuffy , And i paid £277 for the room plus £27 to upgrade well if the room i staued in was an upgrade ibwould of hated to see the original room i booked bery dissapointing £300 for a room that was cracked seales shut internally should there of been a fire anywhere on the second floor where our room was located there would of been no means of escape , I did book breckfast for me and the wife too at a cost of about 40 quid extra woke up this morning to the smell of cheap sausegas and badly burnt toats decided to skip brekfast too all in all a very disapointing experience , would deffinatley not recomend bery expensive for a room you could not get out of should there be a fire anywhere on rhe first or second floor due to the windows been screwed shut .
Location only
Everything!! Creaking floorboards from above woke us up in morning. Pigeons were trapped in net that was supposed to keep them out, 5 carcasses were hanging from them. (Zoom in on pic) The cooing was loud from 5am! Mould in bathroom, cracked tiles. Dust hanging from ceiling. Previous leak in ceiling not been repaired. Room was dated and very hot. Windows were screwed shut. Not enough plugs in room and we found an extension lead in drawer! Could not get in car park that was suggested as it was full! Had to use alternative one that was more costly! LCD tv, not even HD or smart! Very tired hotel and no maintenance
Cleanliness, needs to be addressed, the restaurant area is 1inch of dust on lamp shades and raised areas . Not good when eating area .
Central
Very central and clean
Nothing to mention
Helpful staff Good breakfast Excellent location Comfortable bed
No hot water for half the time we were there. Room dated Bathroom floor tiles cracked, bath panel rough
The staff on Reception really tried their best.
The place was absolutely filthy and dated. Old broken furniture, the lift broke down(more than once)and the windows were sealed shut. A fan was provided but it just circulated hot air. Asked for a change of room because of mobility and washing facilities, was given a room that hadn't been cleaned. Returned to original and hoped for the best. Was asked on arrival for breakfast timings, no food was ready when we went down. Had to ask staff (when they appeared) if/when food would be coming (easily a 20 minute wait) then saw staff cross contaminate using the same serving utensils on the meat then mushrooms (which might not be a big deal to most but when you are vegetarian, it matters!). The only redeeming feature was the ladies in reception who tried to accommodate where they could, but I got the impression they were embarrassed to be there. I have stayed in 'Premiers' for a fraction of the cost, with much higher standards.
You can see it used to have class and grandeur but that has long since faded. We only stayed a night but had it been more I would have asked for a full refund as the rooms are tired, the furniture old and shabby, light fitting broken and there was no hot water to have a shower.
All the above, I would have at least expected hot water, staff didn’t have uniforms and some looked as though they had just walked in from the street.
Booked and paid for room on arrival. Location was excellent. Once in hotel room, attempted to shower - but no hot water! No contact for reception. Dressed and enquired downstairs. Receptionist told us the boiler wasn't working - but had no disclosed this information upon arrival! Full refund and booked ABODE instead.
No hot water - staff failed to disclose this and allowed check in and payment.
Hotel was a Good standard & excellent location. Also, nearby parking was available through the hotel at a discounted rate
Room could do with a refresh & breakfast was a little disappointing
Welcoming and comfort Wonderful breakfast x Our birthday boy loved it x
No disappointment x
Great location, value for money, very clean, good nights sleep. Receptionist very welcoming and friendly
Good central location
It’s a little outdated but clean
Complete comfort, staff excellent and big shout out to Lucy who was excellent in looking after us.
Location
Rooms outdated, hot, no window opening , poor bathrooms and most of all terribly old beds with poor mattresses. Fan in room was a shocking approach for a £200 a night rate.
Location was excellent and it's a beautiful building, staff were friendly
Carpets need a good vacuum, they were grubby. Rooms could do with some updating, bedside cabinet had veneer peeling etc. Also little touches like complimentary bottles of water would improve things, sockets needed at bedsides
Central location 2 minutes walk to all the local bars and clubs.
Nothing
A fabulous building that thankfully retains the original design features. Well located for accessing all parts of the city. Lovely warm welcome from the ladies in reception . Great room with a huge bathroom. Tasteful decor throughout the building . Massive comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. Really good breakfast on offer with plenty of drinks. Well worth our visit. As a party of six we have already started to plan our next visit.
Professional services from all the lovely staff we met . It’s a wonderful building and very tasteful. It’s not broken so don’t try to fix it. There’s honestly nothing to dislike
Close to everything.
Location
Nothing
Very run down hotel
Great
The toilet was a bit tight
Clean, tidy and facilities were good.
Possibly haunted, my table lamp flew off my bedside table , which spooked me a bit ,as my bedside table was not against the bed or anything that could have caused it to fly off like that. It could be because the table lamp was top heavy but I am open to suggestions. Didn't tell the hotel though.
Location is good for central city.
Room was terrible- small space, really hot (couldn't open window), dirty, bathroom was horrible dated and dirty. Unpleasant stay and would never recommend.
The location was perfect
The overall cleanliness was poor
The location was great
The room was a bit tired and the bathroom needed attention round the seals and was also in need of attention, the kettle had to be moved as no plug socket near to it so had to boil it in the floor as wire was too short, hairdryer didn’t work I had to go to reception with wet hair as no phone in the room ! I was informed it was a safety button that needed to be held down,But this still didn’t work so overall I wouldn’t stay again for the price for room only😦
Location great and staff very friendly. Think our room was upgraded. Fan turned on in our room on arrival, which we appreciate. Breakfast was nice enough (mushroom and tomatoes could have been cooked a bit more - both raw), but everything else was nice
The room was very hot, but as I said we appreciated the fan being turned on. We stayed Sunday night of the bank holiday weekend. Would have liked the bar to be open, but it’s closed on Sundays.
Location
Breakfast did not taste good all food tasted old, not Continental apart from watermelon and cereal very poor and our second room stifling, tiny and we couldn’t even open the window awful first night, however was upgraded for the second night,
Staff were helpful and friendly
Wasn’t clean Room was hot Bathroom tiles need re grouting dirty and grout falling out Breakfast room was dirty and smelled Didn’t eat breakfast because of state of breakfast room
Close to the city centre
Unclean. Ripped carpets in bedroom walls filthy . Bathroom looked unhygienic water damage to bath panels. Had to wait 50 minutes for breakfast (left without any)
Nothing to like apart from the location
Everything else than the location, dirty, windows locked and shut, musky, elevator doesn't work, staff not trained to refund for clients. complete disaster. Worst hotel experience ever.
Location
I booked a double room & was told I had a twin? When I questioned it, I was told I should have read the small print, as they can change it any time to get a booking?!. They ended up pushing the twins together to make a double.
Idea central location, friendly staff..
Looking very dated inside.. Could do with basic upgrade..hasn't changed since we were last here four years ago.
The outside
Thread bare carpet rubbish still in the room in the bin cracked bathroom floor tiles sink blocked 3/4 bed not a double no electric points at the bedside difficult when you use a breathing machine for sleep water damaged ceiling with crack and hole smelt musty not clean wardrobe doors disjoined didn’t close adjacent big cobweb from ceiling to curtains tea and coffee kettle on the wardrobe water jug and glasses but no water cold water in bathroom tepid so couldn’t even drink that !
The location and the price were unmatched. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming.
I was put in room 230. It smelled HORRIBLE! There was a stench of smoke, feet, and just a horrible smell that is indescribable. There was a bit of that smell across the corridors of the hotel as well. The bathroom needed some maintenance I think. It didn't feel clean even though it clearly was clean, it just gives the feeling thatvit isn't. The room was just so worn out.
The location is great
The room was absolutely filthy. Very dusty. I had 2 of my children with me ages 5 and 7. We checked in late at night as was visiting friends. I asked for a refund because it was so dirty and my daughter had locked herself in the bathroom so the lock must of been stiff. We left and did a 3hr drive home at 11pm. Will not return
The location was exactly where I wanted it
Location
The room was awful cobwebs everywhere, lock in bathroom was just piece toilet paper stuffed in lock. Air con unit we couldn't get work so my husband slept on floor to try keep cool heat in room was unbearable.i reported unit to staff who said we are not experts on air con units. Our stay was less than adequate. We paid for late check out but room was that awful we checked out soon as we could.
Perfect location, hotel was great. Our room was unexpectedly (for the price) more of a suite and the bed was enormous and comfortable. The bedding and towels were very luxurious. We had a great time in Chester.
A small fridge is always handy, to store cold milk.
Location
Very outdated, stains , in desperate need of an update
Nice comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Good location.
I had the full breakfast, which was very nice but I have had better It lacked a little bit of quality and choice Location was perfect
The room we stayed in was a bit tired Needs new carpet Complete revamp in the bathrooms as well
Nothing
Nothing very poor . It needs a total refurbishment. No staff . Found a Swiss Army knife on the floor in our room obviously not been cleaned very good and not what you would expect to find in your room.
Cooked breakfast was good
There was. I cheeses or meats for the continental breakfast and they run out of croissants and an hour before breakfast was finished no selection of danish. Bed was dirty I had to ask staff to change bedding at 9 pm
The location is fantastic. Nice big comfy beds and the staff are lovely.
Some of the furniture was a little dusty, lampshades and headboard.
Staff were nice checking in/out. Great location, really central.
Paper thin walls so was woken early by guest/cleaning staff passing our room. Also before checking out a really horrible loud alarm kept going off every few minutes. Aircon wouldn’t work in our room and not great in regards to plug space. TV was tiny. We also had one tiny lamp for the whole room, no ceiling light? Also had to manually empty sink as wouldn’t drain. Foyer and reception were lovely but room needed a lot of TLC.
The staff were very nice and helpful
The coffee at breakfast and some of the breakfast food
Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location right in the centre of the city. Good sized room with a lovely bathroom, big walk in shower and toiletries. Nice building.
There isnt a bed for children so if you do book with a child, they bring a temporary bed in which isnt a bed, it is made from trampoline/sunbed material with a thin mattress topper on (not a proper mattress). It is extremely uncomfortable, small and doesnt feel safe. This is not advertised when booking or in any communications. Communication with the hotel prior to arrival was none existent, messages and phone calls for advice not answered and this made parking arrangements worrying. You have to park in the nearby shopping centre and find your own way to hotel as directions not given. Although, the hotel do give you a code to discount the parking to £10.
No CCD. A
Love the location room was very nice and comfortable good value for money stqff were very friendly
The only thing was they weren't enough sockets none beside bed only 2 in the seating area
The staff were polite the bedding was fresh
The room.had not been deep cleaned i suspect for a considerable time considering the sticky dust on on the skirting wi dow sill around most of the woodwork.generally. Could not open an of the windows and air con almost non existent but made a noise. Bathroom extractor full of dust and didn't work Bathroom sanitary wear completely lacking in attention plug hole brown behind the taps there was pink soap scum and mouldy as it was around the shower doors. The grout in tiles in the shower were black mouldy. The soap and shower dispensers were completely empty. Floor tiles cracked and grout missing. Hair and fluff balls in the corners of the room on the carpets Stains.and spillages all down the back of the bathroom There was a club nearby blasting music until 330am we were unable to sleep due to this and the stuffy dry heat in the room. We got zero sleep, frankly we were glad we did not pay for breakfast as this complete lack of hygiene would have ensured we did no eat there. Complained at desk and advised to email management.... No response.
Being central to everything we needed.
One room was far too warm air con not working. Staff were very good and provided a fan. Grandson is ADHD and ASC and struggles to regulate body temperature. Open windows would have been better. Other bedroom castor missing off one bed and bathroom needing an upgrade.
Gute Lage, schönes Gebäude, hilfsbereites Personal
Kein warmes Wasser in der Dusche, Ausblick auf ein vermuelltes Dach, abgewohntes Zimmer
Breakfast disappointing with low stock of choices. Room like a sauna and unable to open window
Breakfast little choice and ran out of items. Room too hot
Location
Light didn’t work in bathroom, was fixed and broke again, no room cleaning door hanger, carpet thread bare, all windows sealed and air con very loud and ineffective, sleep was i possible as room was so hot,
In town centre clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful.
Nice staff
No air con room was very stuffy
Good location
Dirty, small rooms, no ventilation
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great for exploring the city.
Comfy beds Two nice social areas downstairs (although there was no vibe, they were empty) Friendly staff at reception and breakfast
It was dusty behind the beds and nightstand, all the doors were dusty My room had two bedside lights, one with no shade and the bulb didn’t work English Breakfast tea tasted horrible
The location
It was incredibly run down and absolutely filthy, I have raised a formal complaint with accompanying pictures.
Clean, friendly staff, good value
The windows in the room are sealed shut and the aircon only goes down to 18 degrees so the room was very hot through our stay. Especially at night
The breakfast was ok,the location was fantastic t
The decor is very tired indeed, the furnishings are very old fashioned in my opinion and in need modernising , for that reason I doubt if I would stay in this hotel unfortunately
Beautiful hotel but in need of some updates to the bathrooms. Bar was closed when we arrived and was told room wasn't ready which is unexceptable so we had to go and find a bar outside. Bed was very comfortable. We didn't book breakfast . Hope the hotel gets an upgrade as it would be a shame to see the standards drop even further
Great location
Sweltering hot room, where the windows are locked shut. There was an evaporative cooler, but it's well known these make no difference in the UK due to our humidity. I was told the windows are locked shut because it's expensive to repair them as the building is listed... Not really the guests problem. Overall, the hotel is overdue for investment.
Location only
Room was a sauna with 2 fans making no difference. We had no sleep all night. I asked to change rooms but told nothing available…..despite having emails the day before asking if we wanted to upgrade!
Fantastic location to explore Chester!
An option to have an evening meal in the hotel!
Location
Unable to shower as dirty water came up through the bath plug hole and then did not drain. Breakfast was awfull milk off, had probably been sat out since 7am tea/coffee when provided cold again milk warm ! Waited a good 25 mins gor breakfast only 1 member of staff.
Very dated need decorating . To hot could not open window
The above plus bar closed early we got back early for a drink was shut . No fresh fruit at breakfast . We’re sent to room which had not been cleaned
Lovely clean bedroom suite. Amazing girl at breakfast who tried to passify guests not impressed with breakfast. Good location.
Not at the standard I expect from the chain. Let's the name down. Reception staff poor, chatty, eating at desk. Bar closed at 10.30 to residents , never known this. Expensive suite, no bottled water, no coffee machine, poor offering of small biscuits. Breakfast, had to give a time but was not busy. Well this really let's the place down. No coffee machine or options for coffees or teas. Just flasks!! Cheap bread for toast really need a selection of sourdough etc. Cereals hard. No fruit... because it was for a conference!!! Did get melon but really!! No gluten free or diary free options, ridiculous nowadays. No menu only given egg alternatives when requested. Ingredients poor quality. This place needs a reality check. Location is not just good enough. Oh and no sockets by bed, drives people crazy.
Although a great location, not impressed, rooms very dated and shabby, dirty, stained furniture and carpets. Windows are sealed shut so no ventilation, making the rooms unbearably hot. Breakfast didn't offer much choice, what was on offer wasn't great quality. Wouldn't recommend 😕
Good location.
No air conditioning and no fans in communal areas. Our room was like a sauna, a fan was provided that didn’t work effectively and was extremely noisy. Large stain on the bedding, no plugs by the bed, no bottled water provided. The breakfast was extremely poor, limited choice, poor quality and cold coffee!
Very poor, have had a corporate deal with MacDonald hotels previously and found them very good. However the Blossoms in Chester was appalling. Mould in the bathroom, the shower over bath didn’t drain, the room was very tired and breakfast was like Fawlty Towers. I won’t be staying there again under any circumstances
very pleasant staff comfy bed
furniture was shabby, walls grubby, strange bathroom that was extremely hot , none of the windows opened, cobwebs visible in main areas, breakfast not great. I think probably too much cost cutting has been applied
Staff very friendly.
Breakfast was very slow to come out, taken age's.
The Staff were lovely and immediately helpful when needed, we were also upgraded to a larger room with Aircon which was very much needed in 35deg heat. The location was amazing in the city centre for shopping and sightseeing.
The decor and condition of the property is very worn. I appreciate the building is literally hundreds of years old, but this does not excuse the condition of the carpets, furnishings and cleanliness, the dust was bad, house keeping need to be mindful to get around skirts and carpet edging and behind the bedside cabinets. The continental breakfast at £17 a head is a choice of 4 types of cereal in big open bowls on a table to spoon out with an open jug of milk no dairy alternatives etc or plain yoghurt. There was half a cut up watermelon on a dinner plate as the fruit option, some white and brown bread for toasting once the white ran out there was no replenishement, so had to have brown. The cooked breakfast or hot porridge can be ordered at your table and this is at the cost of £22, absolutely not worth it. I hate to say as staff are lovely, but it really was not a justifyable cost. Despite having paid from 2 days B&B in our stay we didn't even bother to go to breakfast the 2nd morning. There were plenty offerings in the city for brunch etc. There was no dinner service in the restaurant in the evenings during our visit & the bar is only open to 10.30pm with no draft beers or bar snacks also back to the breakfast, it is only served till 9am, so no long lie if your going for that. Please MacDonald Group re-energise this hotel and do your lovely staff justice.
Great location and friendly staff
Zircon in fan did not work, run down rooms need an upgrade as loads of cracks on paint and leak stains
Location Breakfast was very good both mornings and the serving staff were excellent.
The Blossoms always had a really good reputation over last 70 years so it was very disappointing because it appeared tired and past its best. In temperatures of 35 degrees the rooms were unbearably hot and uncomfortable as windows were nailed shut and only one very ineffective small fan (no air conditioning) Taps dripped. Bed side light didn’t work. Tissues in bathroom not been replaced. Dreadful slippy bath - my husband slipped and cracked 2ribs It’s not sufficient to put a small notice to contact reception for a mat once you’re undressed and just about to get into the bath. There is no facility to contact reception without going down 3 floors. We overheard some guests mentioning their rooms were dirty on arrival and so there is a general feeling of dissatisfaction and malaise
The property was central to Chester city centre.
This isn’t my first time staying here. My first experience was good, but unfortunately, my second wasn’t. I checked into the hotel as usual, but when I finally got to my room, I was really disappointed. I paid £175 for what felt like a tiny box room, which was honestly quite shocking. To make matters worse, the bed had yellow stains on it, and the body wash in the shower was completely empty. For the price I paid, I really didn’t expect this standard of room or cleanliness. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, especially as I’d had a good experience here previously.
You couldn’t open the windows in the room, meaning it was unbearably hot & stuffy in the room. One small desk fan was not sufficient.
The location and the atmosphere was spot-on, nice there was a seating area in the room
Nothing major bathroom was a bit tired compared to the other part off the room, it would’ve been nice to have the air condition in the bedroom part where the TV was
The room was spacious and very clean
The extra beds were just camp beds which were very uncomfortable my son wasnt happy and didnt sleep well
City Centre
Run down
The location was fantastic. The beds were comfortable. The staff were welcoming.
The cleanliness of the room was poor. There were stains on the carpets where we couldn’t walk bare feet. There were items left from previous guests The bathroom was unclean with black water marks on the sink There was mould and cobwebs The floor hadn’t been hoovered The window on the stairs was open and full of pigeon feathers The side lamp didn’t work The main light was coming away from the ceiling The noise level of doors slamming and footsteps above was loud The breakfast was greasy, the order wasn’t taken correctly, we were sat waiting for over 20 minutes before someone came and took our order, there wasn’t enough juice or bread, the coffee and hot water had ran out
