The layout of the hotel,friendly staff and that it was central to all the amenities in the city.

Dirty stained mugs I. The eating area at breakfast time. I had to check at least 5 before I found a clean one. I think they need to invest in a new dishwasher machine. I did speak to a waitress and was told she would pass it on.

It couldn’t have been a better location.

The bathtub. Nightmarish in its height. I am not 5’ tall and it was a real safety risk. Even my 5’8” husband had difficulty.

Central location near to the shops and restaurants , room was clean , staff were excellent.

Only issue is on a personal preference . The room does not have opening windows , room is air conditioned no fresh air.

Our room was not clean. There was plastic wrappers on the floor, crisp crumbs, and the sheets were musty and had a hair on them.

Breakfast was not a good enough standard, compared to other hotel chains, the quality was very poor, not a great selection either, TV picture quality was poor and dated, casting didnt work either, bed not very comfortable.

Sorry we didn't eat at the hotel. We wanted to try the local cafes. My child is autistic so it really helped with everything being within walking distance, so that we could return to our room if we needed to.

That the price of breakfast at hotel was the same for children as adults.

Location was great and the room, bed and bathroom were great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We wanted to have dinner and relax with a few drinks at the hotel. Lovely comfy bar and dining area, but...they were out of so many things! Only one beer on tap available out of 5, only 2 white wines available out of 5 (one was house wine). Only Pepsi, no coke! Dinner... no fish and chips and 2 other dishes also not available. Felt sorry for the waiters who had to keep apologising, not just to us but to every customer. Whoever stocks (or rather).. does NOT stock the restaurant and bar area.. get your act together! As my mother always said... 'better to have more than less.

Unfortunately, we were really disappointed with our stay and actually ended up leaving the hotel and going home rather than staying the night. We had booked the stay to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it was also our first proper outing and night away with our newborn baby, so it was something we had really been looking forward to. The room was a very awkward shape, with only one tiny window positioned in such a way that virtually no natural light reached the actual room. Even during the daytime, we were essentially sitting in darkness with the lights on. The window also didn’t open at all, so there was no fresh air coming into the room. It made the room feel very close and claustrophobic, particularly when we were spending time in there with a newborn. We asked if we could move to a different room, but unfortunately were told there were no other rooms available. We were also particularly disappointed with the fridge. Before booking, we specifically called the hotel to check that there would be a fridge in the room as we needed somewhere to safely store expressed milk. We were assured there would be one, and we also added this requirement to our booking notes. When we arrived, however, the fridge in our room was broken. I do want to say that the staff we dealt with were lovely and did arrange for the fridge to be changed. Unfortunately, the replacement was barely cold, so we still didn’t feel comfortable relying on it to store milk. In the end, between the dark and claustrophobic room, the lack of fresh air and the fridge situation, we decided we weren’t comfortable staying there with our newborn and left to go home instead. It was really disappointing, particularly as this was meant to be a special night for our first wedding anniversary and our first proper outing as a family of three.

Location excellent and room facilities were good.

Breakfast could have been better. Coffee was too strong and scrambled eggs were cold. Informed staff of the cold eggs and was told they were warm originally but they get cold the longerr they are left out !

Love the staff at this hotel! They were all so kind courteous. Very obliging on reception and the Chef in the kitchen went over and above

We loved the location. Within walking distance to everything. Hotel reception staff very welcoming and the reception area smelt lovely. The shower was powerful.

Bathroom could do with an update. If im being picky the iron in the room was not usable. (Limescale when steaming) However called reception and they bought us another one.

Room was poor for the price . To small , difficult to open the fridge , no water and very noisy with a night club next door . I’ve stayed many times at different hotels within Leonardo’s but unfortunately not again .

The only good thing about this hotel was the brekfast and the lovely/ kind breakfast staff.

The room wasn’t clean to a high standard the mirror had marks all over it the bath had black hair on the side of it. When we arrived a member of staff was arguing with a customer saying it’s not her issue their booking was cancelled. This made me worried about checking in. There was a 20 mins wait to check in. The girl who checked us is Jenna didnt smile once at us. I emailed 5 times asking the hotel if they could out balloons in the room at an extra cost. Even rang and told to email and no one ever got back to me. Very disappointing stay for the price.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, comfy beds, and quiet. Breakfast was great. Location was fantastic. Parking easy nearby and discounted with the hotel. We were only staying for one night but I would have been happy to stay here longer. We had everything we needed.

We tried to watch one of our shows after we got back from our evening meal via one of our devices but the TV had no internet connection - I thought it was supposed to. No big deal as there were plenty of channels on the TV. That would be the only fault I could say.

Location was superb. Hotel very clean with friendly staff, and beds AND pillows beautifully comfy. Black out curtains helped keep the room dark and rooms appear very well insulated as could barely hear any other sounds. Great nights sleep!

Breakfast was passable but not great. Fresh fruit selection was barely a selection - wedges of melon and some citrus slices which was very disappointing.

The location was ideal for a trip to Chester and though very central the rooms were exceptionally quiet with no traffic noise. The rooms were modern and comfortable, the staff very friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast offer on site.

The room was nicely decor and spacious. It didn't feel worn out like some hotels do after a few years. Aircon actually works and was nice and cool. Also the windows were good at keeps any noise out. Good location to the city center and parking next door for £10 overnight. Would stay again.

The breakfast buffet area could be bigger, when it's busy you can hardly move and it's awkward. I think doing a set breakfast menu would work better if they can't make the area bigger.

Not a negative for the hotel but unable to access the grosvenor centre next to the hotel on the Sunday morning to access the car park. A bit of a treck with luggage the long way round. Out of hotels control.

At check in and check out, neither member of staff, were very friendly or hospitable. We visited for our daughter's 18th, on arrival the welcome was very lack lustre, didn't explain about scanning room card to access lift, no mention of our daughter's birthday or general chit chat no eye contact etc. When we left, we felt like we were interrupting the staff member, like we were an inconvenience, she was quite abrupt with our daughter when she asked to buy a bottle of water ' it's locked' when she tried to open the fridge. We checked out online and handed our room cards in to her, but no comment of, hope you enjoyed your stay or thanks for staying etc ver!y cold!. Given the opportunity I would've aid that even with the air-conditioning on (which was very noisy), the room was too hot. Breakfast a little disappointing too no hash browns, no jam in the dispenser

The hotel was close to all the wonderful things to do and see in Chester. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a good bed and blackout curtains and very quiet so we had a good night’s sleep. The staff were all kind and helpful and made our stay fantastic. The food in the restaurant was great and there were many seats to sit and chill out as well as tables to enjoy our meals. I would definitely recommend it and would stay in it again if I return to Chester.

My room! Though it was clean and bed was comfortable the room only had a small window which overlooked the top of a car park and the back of a church with loads of pigeons around! I understand somebody has to have this room just sad it was me.

Very Small point. Would have preferred a bottle of still water in fridge not the sparkling water. Thought the price of stay was quite expensive, probably due to Chester Race meeting on that weekend.

The location of the hotel is perfect, its right in the heart and centre of Chester, just a minutes walk from the Roman Walls and surrounded plenty of shops and pubs. The hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and perfect for what we wanted, with a nice big tv with chromecast.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff are friendly but professional. Although the hotel is in the city centre our room was quiet. The hotel has a deal with the car parks near by, so if you follow their instructions you get a reduction in parking costs.

The windows do not open in the room at all, you have air-conditioning which was OK. The breakfast was OK, although a lot of the food was barely warm, I will eat breakfast elsewhere if we return to the hotel in the future.

Location was perfect close to shops and restaurants. Room was spacious and clean. The staff were exceptional really helpful and friendly. Staff made my mother 90th birthday stay memorableand nothingwas too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Personal war wirklich toll, Zimmer sehr komfortabel und super ausgestattet.

Zweimal wurde Zimmer nicht sauber gemacht (in fünf Tagen) obwohl "Nicht stören" Schild nur kurzfristig oben war

Parking is available in the Eastgate multistory car park which is just round the corner but there is no clear signage on how to enter or exit the car park on foot once you have parked and no lifts so we ended up having to drag our suitcases down the main driving route which is hardly safe. 24 hours is £16 but that is reduced to £10 for hotel guests.
