Mattress. Woke up with neck cramp. Breakfast would have been better with real eggs. AC was noisy.

Staff was nice and the rooms were clean and the rooms were stocked very nicely with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion.

One of the nicest HIE I have ever stayed at. Modern, up to date, eclectic. Wonderful staff at check in. The renovation and updates since the last time I stayed here made a big difference in whether I will come back to stay again. Close to my favorite hang out, The Sportsman’s Grille, located just around the corner.,

The location was perfect as we visited Busch gardens and water country USA. We were about 5 minutes from each of the parks. The hotel was clean and all staff was friendly.

No smoking area outside. The property is lined with trees, perfect place for smoke gazeebo.

Walls in rooms are paper thin. Neighbor was having a psychotic break and could hear her cussing and yelling all night. Staff tried to ask her to stop but that morning at breakfast she was still bothering guests with her mental health issues.

Everything was great! Lady at front desk was super nice and welcoming!

No milk at breakfast and when asked the staff didn't speak English and looked at us like they had no idea what we wanted. But you need milk for cereal.

The customer service at this hotel was beyond amazing and much better than other nearby hotels. Specifically, Jennifer helped make our stay perfect. She was so personable and made us feel at home. We were also greeted by all front desk staff every time we entered and left the hotel. Thank you!! Customer service goes a long way.

My husband and I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel on a trip to visit Colonial Williamsburg. Very comfortable room and the breakfast choices were also good. Coffee and tea are available 24/7. All if the front desk personnel very friendly. I definitely recommend this Holiday Inn Express for anyone visiting the Williamsburg area.

Was charged twice for the safety deposit . Told hotel about issue and the assured me it didn't when I showed the the transaction already went through they charged again . This inconvenience did not get corrected until 2 weeks after my stay other then that the stay was nice

Comfy bed and close to Busch Gardens which is why we picked it!

I don't think they've vacuumed under the furniture in a very long time, we found all kinds of food under the sofa and kids toys under the lounge chair.

The suite was one room open to the living room , it should not be a suite and charging as a regular room ,

We tacked this stay on at the end of our stay and booked the HIE brand because we knew what we'd be getting. For the most part, that theory held true as there was the usual new, fairly clean hotel with a nice breakfast area. However, we were floored at the size of the rooms. We stayed in a room with two queen beds and felt as if we were on a cruise ship. I can't fathom how the designer of this hotel thought these dimensions were appropriate. With ourselves, our kids, and the luggage, there just wasn't room to move. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was above average, but we wouldn't stay here again just due to the close quarters.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn while traveling for an interview and it is by far one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The service was exceptional. The front desk even accommodated a late check out and helped me print documents that I needed for a presentation later that day. The room itself was very nice with actual hand soap instead of bar soap and lighting that actually worked. Usually hotels don't have good ceiling lighting or lighting in general but the room was very nice and very usable. The location was perfect, right next to my interview and also five minutes away from Busch Gardens, which is a prime location in this area. The atmosphere was very friendly and the front desk was helpful every time I had an interaction with them. And for the value of this hotel, I would definitely come back again.

I was very impressed with this hotel. 1. Location: centrally located with easy highway access to all the top sites in the area. It is so quiet, no road noise! I am a light sleeper and had no issues. 2. Room: I had a 2 queen room. It was spacious and clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. 3. Service: all of the desk staff were friendly and helpful. 4. Extras: free parking, very nice complimentary breakfast, FRESH brewed coffee 24/7 in the lobby. I am so glad I found this hotel.

Easy check in (Jan. 23) and check out (Jan. 24) process and the room was competitively affordable. Hotel reception was friendly and helpful. All areas, especially the room and lobby, were very clean. We could easily hear people in the hallway, but it wasn't too frequent. Biggest complaint was the hotel breakfast was terrible. It was eggs, sausage and potatoes, which lacked any flavor and had the consistency and texture of the Styrofoam plates it was served on. I don't know when they cooked it, but it surely wasn't that morning. They also didn't start serving until 7:00. Overall, value and cleanliness matter a lot more to me than breakfast, so I think I'd stay here again.

Well I was charged $140 on my last day, checked out before 11am, I pre paid, and still unsure why I had $140 charged to my card. The $100 hold I saw drop off my bank statement however there was an extra $140 I was charged for.

It’s was close to everything! 2 minutes from Busch gardens and 8 minutes to Colonial Williamsburg. Our kids loved it.

Our towels were not replaced when we got back to our room, which is no problem because I know they do lots of rooms a day but when my husband went down stairs to ask for 5 sets we were given 3 and were told they we would have to wait until the next day to get additional towels because they were out.

The property is nice and clean.

The breakfast was very bad. We went there in Dec 2023, the breakfast was very good with lot of choices. (Just looked back to our pictures in Dec 2023, I took pictures of the breakfast but it was really good with bacon, scrambled eggs per portion, pancakes…) This Dec 2025, we were disappointed with the breakfast, (all frozen food) -the scramble eggs was bad, -potatoes were hard to swallow, -no apple juice in the juice section (i pressed the apple and just cold water came) -No cream cheese for the bagels (only peanut butter) The breakfast needs improvement!

My family stayed here after visiting Christmas Town at Busch Gardens. Convenient location and friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. They offer a warm and delicious breakfast. Couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely stay here again for our next visit to Busch Gardens. Highly recommend.
