Wonderfully unique boutique hotel with fantastic staff and in the rooms you can see they really understand travellers. Comfortable bed, nice lounge area within the room, and everywhere you look there are interesting memorabilia that make the visit even more enjoyable.

Loved staying here again. Rooms are lovely, the staff super helpful (and thank you for fixing my mistake when I booked) and the breakfast is amazing. So beautifully decorated. Thoroughly recommend. Classy.

Nice and fancy hotel - room was clean and neat. The interior perfectly matches the steampunk charm that can be found throughout the town and is designed with a great deal of attention to detail. The breakfast was very good. It is mainly vegetarian-focused, but there was plenty of fresh fruit and basically everything you could wish for. A great selection and a very pleasant start to the day.

The hotel is located on a main road, so there can be some traffic noise, especially at night. I am now quite familiar with the local car-tuning scene and could almost recognise some of the cars by the sound of their exhausts – or by their taste in music, which was not exactly close to mine. Fortunately, the hotel provides earplugs for guests, which was a thoughtful touch.

Very fun boutique hotel, in a central location to town, nice staff. Each room has it's own funky decor! Breakfast was a continental style with fresh cheese, yogurt, fruit and breads.

If you stay in the King Room, the rooms are very small, not much room to move around in either the room or the bathroom

There were no wardrobes and no parking.

Such a beautiful hotel. Amazing decor and the rooms are a great size and well laid out. Loved the personal touches of the home baked cookies and the books on the desk. The staff were so lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Absolutely nothing to fault about this hotel.

Loved the decor and the use of old photos and sports gear for the room theme . The reception area and lounge were a quirky visual feast . Love a heated towel rail when it’s winter . Plenty of choices of fresh fruit and cereals, yoghurt and teas for breakfast .

I found the mattress a bit springy, but comfortable. My night was disturbed several times by the child in the next room screaming . The soundproofing between rooms seemed a bit sparse . The road noise noted by previous guests was not an issue for me .

Great location, we walked everywhere. Parking near the hotel is free after 4pm till 9.30am the next day. We chose to check in then park the car a block away where parking was free.

We were way on a girls weekend. Although the glass in the bathroom was opaque it faced the bed. So it felt a little odd at times.

Poshtel was a quirky hotel with interesting memorabilia and themed rooms. Breakfast provisions were good too though it was only continental. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

It was noisy in the mornings as our room was right next to the Woolworths loading bay. There was no off street parking and bathrooms were a little too small.

I loved the unique styling using beautiful treasures from the past.

Property was so gorgeous and eclectic! Rooms were all individually themed. Found out we got upgraded from the petite room which was such a nice surprise. The manager is the sweetest person and made the stay feel so friendly. She remembered a lot of the guests names.

No onsite parking but if you time it right there’s car parks outside the building that aren’t paid after 5:30pm

Fabulous quirky hotel in the centre of Oamaru with friendly helpful staff. The themed rooms were cool and they let you peek in the unoccupied ones. We had the Antarctic room.

The vintage look of the room, big spacious bathroom and of course the big comfortable bed with the most comfortable pillows ever. The owner was easy to deal and was very accommodating to our needs.

Great location and really good feel about it. We felt very welcomed on arrival and very well looked after. The continental breakfast selections were excellent.

Me and my Husband came too stay and was pleasantly surprised at geat location welcoming host 😊 very cool art style and nice and private.Loved the woolen blanket and very warm room. Nice and clean as well.

It's the 3rd time we've stayed here & it's improving each time, & have already booked in again for another few days during Sept. We love the decor it's so different & original. Also loved the new breakfast set, up, it's very well presented.

Que el hotel se apaga post 7 pm. Estaria bueno que tengan abierto el bar o el lobby para mas huespedes. Post 7 pm es cuando la gente vuelve de las actividades y cuando mas lindo es ver el hotel con gente y vivo.

Lady at the front desk was so warm and welcoming, made our stay a treat! Facilities were impeccable - great cleanliness and lovely lounge. Was nice to have space outside of the rooms, and the opportunity to mingle with other guests.

We loved the style of the Poshotel and enjoyed talking to the owner who was hosting during our stay. It was quiet, the rooms were immaculate and we loved the breakfast set up and choices. It's very close to Countdown so it's also easy to stock up on whatever you need for your travels.

Some people might want dedicated parking though in a town like Oamaru it's not a big deal. If the bar could be staffed it would make more of the communal space (which is lovely) and the offerings in Oamaru are limited nearby for bars etc but I think that's more to do with getting suitable staff than not seeing the opportunity.

Fantastic helpful staff. Loved the theme details of the hotel and the room (very appropriate considering we were in town for Steampunk festival). The breakfast was amazing! Fresh bagels, local cheeses, local full cream milk, fruit galore, excellent cereal and home-made muffins. And of course freshly brewed coffee! Our room had its own entrance and off street park right outside. We will definitely stay again next year for the festival.

The location was excellent. The room was small, but tastefully decorated and comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. Despite the property did not have own parking, there's plenty of parking on the street that was convenient.

The room was probably decorated by someone very tall. the mirror over the sink and shampoo/conditioner were hung very high.

Interesting boutique hotel that occupies an old bank building. The room we had featured one of the original vault doors. Well furnished and comfortable room with excellent and friendly staff! It was too bad we only stayed 1 night.

No place to hang/ unpack any clothes. The filter coffee at breakfast was brewed too weak for my liking.

The whole experience was outstanding. Each room is unique in its setup, we had aving music room. The staff were so friendly and warm, the continental breakfast was ideal. The hotel was spacious yet cosy.

A very warm welcome by the staff. I also liked the tasteful decoration with a vintage vibe and centrally located in the city centre with many restaurant options close by. The room is clean, very spacious bathroom.

The breakfast spread fell short of expectation. It was minimal for a 5-star boutique hotel. Inconsistent room facilities. We booked two rooms of the same type, one comes with a bath tub but not the other.
