Reviewed Sep 15, 2026The room was a great size, clean and cosy with the benefit of a sink to wash face and brush teeth without leaving the room. Wonderful view of the bay and you could hear the penguins at night! 5 minute walk to the historical district which we loved.
The staff of the accommodation sent me about 10 lengthy messages with instructions, rules and information prior to arriving at the accommodation. It was pretty full on and overwhelming.

It is a guesthouse backpackers so shared communal areas but we stayed one night in winter and barely saw another person

タオルがありの記載だったので勘違いしてしまいましたが，個室でも部屋にバスタオルやハンドタオルの用意はありませんので持参する必要があります。

I don't know if I'm a fan of the self check in, although I understand why this property needs it and the instructions were clear. Could do with a little more storage in rooms, although there was enough floor space for everyone, just so it looks a little tidier (a very minor thing!!)

I can't say there was anything we didn't like. I would like to make a couple of suggestions through. Put a safety handle on the wall beside the toilet for leverage as the toilet is quite low and maybe have a blanket at the foot of the bed, for your feet,

ガキ付きのロッカーが部屋にはない、少し坂の上に位置している、たまたまタイミングではあると思うが、６人部屋で私以外全員男性だったので、女性専用の部屋があると良かった。ハンドタオル設置してあるのはいいけど衛生面気になるのでペーパータオルかハンドドライヤーがあればよかった。

Lock system was somewhat problematic. Steep driveway to navigate if you want the car parked at the back of the property.

Reviewed Mar 2, 2026Comfortable bed, good communal living room area. Kitchen had pretty much everything you could want/ need. It’s a great place to stay once you can get past the aggressive messages all over the walls about fines and CCTV. Perfect for penguin viewing.
Small kitchen and dining area. Because the place is being run with minimal staff, there are signs everywhere saying that CCTV is watching you and you will be fined if you do this wrong and that wrong. We were also bombarded with automatic emails prior to check in about the do’s and don’t s.
