Wonderful room, lovely decor, friendly and efficient staff, access to the water park, great to have an adult pool.
Misbehaved, noisy children at the Corsair restaurant. Asked to be reseated but yelling continued. Asked for the manager who remedied the problem. Children are wonderful when parents have taught them to behave.

The location was pretty decent in relation to everything we had planned amd the 24 hour gym was massive!
I didn’t like the fact that there was NO free parking anywhere. They provide parking in the self parking parking garage that they still charge too much a night for. To make things worse our truck was too tall to fit in the parking garage which meant i had to valet our truck.. which cost even More. Luckily after getting loud enough they were kind enough to valet it for the self parking price..
El alojamiento estaba perfecto ,cómodo ,espacioso e incluía en el precio el parque de agua
No incluía el desayuno y preguntamos y cobraban $50 dólares por persona
Terrible. housekeeping Terrible management,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,broken elevator a/c filter disgusting.

The place was clean, and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The all-you-can-eat breakfast was okay and had a decent selection. Most importantly, I felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The kids were able to move around the water park on their own without me having to worry, which made the experience much more relaxing for me as a parent. Overall, we had a good stay and would consider coming back!
I was disappointed with how our check-in was handled. I booked two rooms and specifically requested Jack-and-Jill connecting rooms, which was granted. We were initially assigned rooms on the 10th floor with a great view. However, when we arrived, only one of the rooms was ready. While we were waiting for the second room, the manager gave the room we had been assigned to another guest. We were then moved to the 7th floor, which felt like a downgrade, especially since our original request had already been approved. I understand that things can happen with room availability, but I was disappointed that our confirmed arrangement was given away while we were waiting. Better communication and consideration for the original reservation would have made a big difference.

My daughter wanted a hotel party, so I took her to Tidal Cove and we stayed at the JW Marriott. Since it was a last-minute party, we invited a few of her friends to the water park and cut a cake at the hotel. We had requested early check-in two days prior. When we arrived at 1 pm, they informed us that we were on the priority list for early check-in. Regular check-in is at 4 pm, so we assumed we had arrived early enough and informed them that we were members, hoping that would expedite the process. Unfortunately, we never received early check-in and didn’t get our room until 5:45 pm! The front desk manager we spoke to, last name Kremer, was unhelpful. Despite explaining that we had about six seven-year-olds with us who had been in the pool since 1 pm and wanted to go upstairs, he suggested that the best option was to put us in a standard room with all the kids and parents after we paid for a suite. He claimed there was nothing he could do because housekeeping was taking too long, and it was almost two hours past our regular check-in time. Finally, a lady named Monica Hyatt, the director of operations, approached us. She explained the situation and offered to reimburse us for half of the hotel rate that day. She personally went up to our room to ensure it would be ready for us. Had it not been for her intervention, our day would have been ruined. She also provided meal vouchers for the family and extended an invitation for us to return. I was so upset that it took us to speak to two people before someone came to investigate the situation with our suite. If not for her, I would never have stayed at the hotel again because a two-hour delay to get to our rooms was unacceptable. Although it was stressful for us as parents, the kids had a great time at the water park, and we managed to get in the room in time to decorate for my daughter’s cake cutting.
The JW Marriott is a beautiful property, and we come every year for our end-of-summer friends weekend. It has become a tradition that we genuinely look forward to every year. Unfortunately, this year our experience was significantly affected by the elevators not functioning properly throughout our stay. Staying on the 9th floor made this particularly difficult. At times, we waited 15 minutes or more for an elevator, and on several occasions they did not seem to be functioning properly at all. The elevators were also making concerning noises and behaving in a way that made us uncomfortable using them. One morning in particular, we waited more than 16 minutes for an elevator. With checkout time approaching, we eventually decided to take the stairs with our little one. When we explained what had happened and asked for a little additional time to check out because of the elevator delays, we were disappointed by how unsympathetic and unwilling the staff seemed to be to accommodate us. Given that the delay was caused by an issue with the hotel itself, even a small gesture of flexibility would have been appreciated. Aside from that, the grounds continue to be beautifully landscaped and maintained, and the rooms are very nice, with spacious bathrooms. The food was also delicious, as always. One other noticeable difference compared with previous years was the water park. It seemed understaffed, particularly around the lifeguard and slide-assistant areas, which made the lines move much more slowly. The floats also looked tired—the logos and colors were noticeably faded, and many were only partially inflated. We have always enjoyed this resort, which is exactly why I feel these observations are worth mentioning. As frequent returning guests, we have seen the property over several years, and unfortunately this visit left us feeling that there has been a decline in certain aspects of the experience while the prices continue to increase. We still think it is a beautiful property with many wonderful qualities, but at the JW Marriott price point, we hope to see the level of service and attention to the resort amenities return to the standard we have experienced—and loved—in previous years.
A QUIEN RECLAMO ENTONCES??? Por suerte hablé con mí banco y rechacé todos los cargos extras que me habían hecho post check out. Ah, si! Post check out te siguen cobrando cosas que no consumiste. Tengan cuidado.
Tolles großes, sauberes und gemütliches Zimmer! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Sehr trubelig, viele Menschen
The food at the property was exceptional for a Marriott branded property. The service charge was included in our bill(s) and that wasn't apparent from a cursory look of the bill. Marriott, you need to make the included service charge more visible.
If you love kids, and who doesn't, then this property is for you. The adjacent water park is overrun with rug rats. My wife and I passed on the gratis tickets to the water park and used the hotel's adult pool. Good move on our parts because I didn't want to bring home an uninvited guest.
If I could leave zero stars for the quality of the food, I would. The food here is HORRIBLE! I ordered several hundreds of dollars worth of food for myself and my family from Corsair Kitchen & Bar under tge marketed and advertised impression that it would be 5-star cuisine. Needless to say the food was below sub-par. The 2 hour wait was just as ridiculous!! NEVER AGAIN!! The hotel, room, and resort was nice, but PLEASE order your food from somewhere else. You will thank me later!

Sempre um espetáculo
As a family with over 500 nights at Marriott the last 10 years or so we did not have the best experience at this JW. However, Mohammed who is the director of rooms, went above and beyond to rectify them without us asking. We appreciate him recognizing some of the shortcomings and doing his best to accommodate / make the experience better.
I'll admit I was surprised to read so many negative reviews for a hotel that markets itself as five-star. I have an upcoming reservation, and honestly, these reviews have me second-guessing my decision. My own experience so far hasn't helped. I called Marriott customer service with a simple, straightforward question. Instead of a clear answer, the representative repeatedly pushed me to sign up for a membership and book additional properties. I had to redirect the conversation several times just to get the information I originally called for. A five-star rating should reflect five-star service at every touchpoint — including the phone call before you ever walk through the door. In my opinion, the focus should be on fixing what isn't working before pushing more sales and upgrades on guests.
There were good things, but let's get the bad out first. At arrival the Incidental credit card hold is huge. Then it gets worse, the the second night they again put an additional hold greater than the first, the third night they put another hold in addition to the first two holds, then the last night they tried to put another even greater hold, bank blocked that one for suspicious activity. The actual incidentals that we placed against the room came to less than 150.00. The holds all added together including the last night declined one came to over $2,500.00. They stated that someone on accounting team was manually adding these holds. We were not the only ones that this was happening, while in line awaiting to be helped it was overheard that others were complaining about the same thing. I had back up funds available with other means, but because they did what they did, the card got shut off creating inconvenience during this trip. It does not stop there, a pool attendant approached my spouse while she was applying sunscreen. Told her he needed the name of the sunscreen because they only allow certain ones so that stains are not placed on the towels. Umm excuse me, first that is rude, second that is what you have washers for, and third if a towel does end up with a stain, that is called a write off, order some more. There was no signs posted to this so called rule either. The good, house keeping, luggage help and the catering staff that catered our event were above reproach. They were awesome, courteous, and the food was awesome for all the meals they provided. It is too bad about the accounting staff and the pool help, we have made a choice that we will never stay at this place again.
Disappointing stay, not what you'd expect from JW Marriott We stayed for two nights at the JW Marriott Turnberry in and unfortunately encountered a string of problems that made this feel far from a luxury experience. Room layout: The space between the bed and the wardrobe was so narrow (less than half a foot) that the wardrobe was essentially inaccessible for the entire stay. Early morning noise: On Saturday morning, a garbage truck pulled up outside our third-floor window on the golf course side for a pickup at 7:30am and idled with its engine running for almost 30 minutes, waking the whole family. Room service failure: After attending a World Cup quarterfinal match, we came back to the hotel hungry with two young kids and ordered room service before 10pm — not a late-night order by any stretch. We received no warning of delays. The food took two hours to arrive, despite multiple calls from us and repeated false delivery estimates from staff. By the time it showed up, our kids were long asleep, and we had to refuse it. There is no excuse for this kind of delay at a property positioning itself as luxury. Housekeeping mix-up: On the morning of the game, we asked the front desk if our room could be cleaned within the hour so it would be ready when we returned to get dressed. We were told it wouldn't be a problem. Three hours later, we came back to find housekeeping had only just started. We had to turn them away and get ready in an unmade room — frustrating given what we were paying. Billing issues: At checkout, our folio showed a duplicate charge, obvious from the identical check number, which we had to point out ourselves before it was removed. Despite raising all of the issues above at checkout, the hotel offered no compensation. Two days later, I found the duplicate charge had been re-added to my credit card. I spent 42 minutes!!!!!!!!! on the phone with billing trying to get them to remove a charge that was clearly duplicated, down to the identical check number. They never took me off mute or explained what was happening and instead sent me an email that they would take the double charge off. Why not tell me!!?? Pretty shady behavior. The only compensation offered throughout this entire experience was 10,000 Marriott points which is worth about $80 and only for the room service issue. Summary: For the price point, encountering this many issues in a two-night stay is genuinely disappointing. Between the room service failure, housekeeping miscommunication, noise disruption, and billing errors (including one that recurred after being "fixed"), I can't recommend this property. Avoid.

Looks old and not maintained. Clean could be better.
It was a great staycation at JW Marriott Turnberry nice property with some many amenities and a family friendly oriented property. Kids had a great time at the cove with the lazy river pool and splash water. Room was very comfortable and people very friendly from arrival to checkout times. I would have to thank everyone especially some that made our times special starting from arrival with Owayron, Chester and Danish as they were very professional and informative. Also, Fabrice was amazing at checkout times and very nice to my kids thanks again Fabrice and can’t wait to be back. Thanks everyone 🙏🏾
I love Jw, but this was by far the worst JW I’ve ever been to. There was no fun allowed. It costs $45 per person to go tot he pool (there is a free adult pool but you can’t take your kids). In the pool, you can’t throw your kids up. You can’t chicken fight. They even yelled at a guy for being underwater too long because “to the cameras it looked like he was drowning”. To top it off, I paid $95 for a Blanton bourbon double, but it’s quite clearly Buffalo Trace. Do not recommend.
Worst customer service I’ve ever received from Klesha. They treated us terribly, and on top of that, there were 2 cockroaches in our room. Klesha offered no solution and left us waiting a lot of time just to switch rooms. Do not stay here — service was awful.
Our stay at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, the level of hospitality exceeded our expectations. A very special thank you to Stephanie at the Front Desk, who truly made our experience unforgettable. She went above and beyond to make sure my family and I felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Along with Mr. Charles, she was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They assisted us with both our late check-in and late check-out, surprised my daughter with beautiful birthday decorations and thoughtful birthday touches, and even offered complimentary beverages. Those gestures meant so much to us. Luxury hotels can have beautiful facilities, but what truly sets an exceptional hotel apart is the people who work there. The genuine care, professionalism, and kindness of the staff made all the difference. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and every team member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We’d also like to recognize Omar at the Water Park, who provided outstanding service with a great attitude and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. What impressed me the most was that this wasn’t just how they treated us. I noticed the same warmth and professionalism with other guests throughout the resort. Without a doubt, Stephanie deserves the gold star for making our family feel so special. Thank you to the entire team for creating such wonderful memories. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for outstanding service and true hospitality.
It has something for everyone, two golf courses, great location, a water park for the kids, great food
EL HOTEL ES HERMOSO, LAS HABITACIONES SON AMPLIAS Y COMODAS. EL DESAYUNO FUE MUY BUENO, PERO MUY REPETITIVO, OFRECERIA ALGUN TIPO DE VARIACION EN LAS COMIDAS CALIENTES. LO UNICO QUE NO CUMPLIO MIS EXPECTATIVAS FUE LA LIMPIEZA DURANTE LA ESTADIA. PARA UN HOTEL ASI, DEBERIA SER MAS ESTRICTO
We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was a dream - very luxurious! I also really enjoyed having a Starbucks cafe on-site and the Bourbon Steakhouse was fabulous - the ambiance and every dish was top notch!
The hotel was super clean and the staff, especially Jimmy opening the door, was smiling, happy and kind! I’ve never seen a staff this seemingly connected and dedicated to a positive experience!
The parking is high priced.

What started out looking like a beautiful resort quickly turned into one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I've had in years. We booked two rooms for our family—one room for the adults and one room for the kids. When making the reservation, we specifically requested connecting rooms because we're traveling with children. Upon arrival, we discovered not only were the rooms not connected, but they weren't even on the same floor. Trying to manage kids in separate rooms on different floors of a large resort is completely unreasonable and defeats the entire purpose of requesting connecting accommodations in the first place. The front desk offered little in the way of solutions, and we were essentially told to accept it. For a property that markets itself as a luxury family resort, this was a terrible way to start our vacation. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. The most unbelievable part of our stay occurred late at night. From approximately 11:00 PM until nearly 2:00 AM, maintenance personnel were repeatedly loading, unloading, moving equipment, slamming carts, and creating enough noise to continuously wake us up. Every time we started to fall asleep, another loud bang, crash, or movement would wake us again. I called the front desk three separate times asking for assistance. Each time I was assured someone would look into it. At one point I was even told they couldn't find anything causing the disturbance. Meanwhile, the noise continued for hours. It wasn't until a security guard was finally sent that the activity suddenly stopped, which made it pretty clear the issue existed all along. By that point, we were absolutely exhausted and beyond frustrated. We had an early morning flight and a 4:00 AM wake-up call, meaning we got almost no meaningful sleep. Spending thousands of dollars to lay awake half the night listening to maintenance operations is not exactly the luxury resort experience we were promised. The room itself also showed significant signs of neglect. The shower head wouldn't stay in position, several tiles were worn and damaged, finishes throughout the room looked tired, and numerous maintenance items appeared to have been ignored for quite some time. The property photographs much better than it actually performs. What was most disappointing is that every issue on its own might have been manageable. Hotels make mistakes. Rooms occasionally have maintenance problems. But when you combine the room assignment issue, the complete lack of sleep, the poor response from staff, and the overall worn condition of the accommodations, it becomes impossible to overlook. For a stay that exceeded $7,000, our expectations were understandably high. We weren't expecting perfection, but we certainly expected competence, responsiveness, and accommodations that reflected the premium rates being charged. Instead, the experience felt closer to a 3-star resort charging 5-star prices. The grounds are attractive, and the property has potential, but the guest experience simply does not justify the cost. There are far too many excellent resorts in South Florida to spend this kind of money and receive this level of service. As a Marriott member, this experience was particularly disappointing. Marriott has built a reputation that I've generally trusted, which is why I chose this property in the first place. Unfortunately, this stay fell so far below expectations that I genuinely question whether I would ever return to this resort or recommend it to friends, family, or colleagues. If you're planning a trip to Aventura and considering the JW Marriott Turnberry, I would strongly encourage you to explore other options before committing. We left frustrated, exhausted, and feeling like we paid luxury prices for an experience that was anything but luxurious.
Hi all. The hotel is nice and the staff is absolutely fantastic. Great team. Beautiful hotel. Clean. Live music. Lush landscape. You don’t realize you are in a city. If you enjoy golf, this is amazing. Our main reason for booking was the water slides and flew in to stay here from the East Coast. We could have stayed locally with my family but wanted to have a staycation due to the slides. We also need invited friends. The park was under renovations and maintenance. 1. The entire kid area was closed. (We ended up not being able to bring our friend as he couldn’t use the park). 2. The Boomerango was closed. 3. The Flowrider triple was closed. 4. One of the Aqua Drops was closed. 5. We were told to use the VIP pool as a courtesy. It ended up being closed for a private party. 6. Long lines for the open rides due to most of the park being closed. No one helping to expedite the lines which would have helped as everyone queued on one line for different rides. 7. There was a wait for the lazy river due to no tubes. Once again amazing staff especially Jazmin and Monica. We did have fun but it was just frustrating as it altered our plans with the park being closed.
Check in process was ok, lobby was packed and very loud, hard to hear front desk staff. When I got off the elevator to our floor the first thing I heard was the crunching of chips under my luggage wheels and then saw the sprawl of chips and Cheetos all the way up the hall and right up to our room door. I called the front desk/operator and they seemed to care less, the issue wasn’t taken care of until they vacuumed the hallway the next morning at 7am. The room was clean, but nothing special. I called the front desk/or whoever answered to inquire where the welcome party was for the business event I was there for, the response was “Well it’s almost over you won’t make it,” and when asked where it was located on the map the response was “I don’t have a map, I have no idea how to get there”. Dinner at the restaurant was actually very good and the bartender was great, very friendly. Parking is insane expensive, your already paying a fortune for the room and then they charge $43 per day for parking. We were charge an entire day for the day we left at 1030am. Overall I would say I’ll definitely never go there again, such a rip off for mediocre hotel. To preface that we are not cheap people, but I expect to get what I pay for. My husband and I could have went to the Dominican Republic or somewhere comparable for 5 nights at a true 5star all-inclusive for what we paid for 2 nights.
Location was great, room was ok.
Crazy busy, waited ages for lifts, no pool other than the external water park which was insanely busy. Breakfast buffet very limited and of average quality. Limited facilities, couldn’t get a coffee in the morning other than the Starbucks as the only venue onsite was reserved for platinum members.
Overall: Should be a 3 star hotel. Pros: I think the staff is nice and helpful even when they are clearly being super overworked. It was a holiday weekend so you expect it to be busy, I wish businesses would have holiday-help reinforcements. But overall the staff was pleasant and not rude at all. Cons: We stayed in the Jasmine building and the walls are horribly thin. You could hear your neighbors full conversation (and kids screaming). We were here with kids also but they did not scream. It might be the adjoining rooms are the worst b/c of the door. As the hallways were also loud. Room: Spacious. But loud as mentioned. Cleaning seemed fine. Balcony was super gross. Moldy, dirty, nothing I wanted to sit out on. Some green mold is typical for FL, but a little gross for a JW. We tried to get room service (just dessert & drinks/wine) (Sunday), and they said it would be an hour and half wait. This was at 7:30pm so we said no. Kind of not great if you're going to be a JW Marriott. Oh check in. We drove down on a Saturday, had an early check-in due to status. But not ready when we got here. Fine. So at 4pm, we checked in again, not ready. 5pm, not ready. Meanwhile we were suppose to eat at the hotel at 5:30. So we got into the room at 5:30 (tray of food outside the room, ugh). But it is what it is. I think it's not the staff I fault it's the management that allows it to be run this way. Why is the pool & lazy river at Tidal Cove so cloudy. I am used to crystal blue pool water.
A beautiful hotel with some great facilities. Large waterpark and chill out area, and then a more secluded swimming pool if this isn't your thing. The pool attendants were very good, and when searching for beds on a busy day, we were assisted and taken to a free location. Aventura mall is directly opposite, quite nice for a wonder around.
Food and service in the restaurant were poor. We ate breakfast there once and had the buffet. After waiting for 15 minutes from being seated, the table that came in 10 minutes after us were served, and we were then told we had 15 minutes to eat.
Zwembad
• Koffiekeuze in ontbijt was zeer beperkt, enkel gewone koffie. Capuccino is supplementair. Iaw: onaangename verrassingen (financieel) verplicht bijgekomen. Af te raden bij gezinnen.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and decided to start our recent trip to Florida here. Unfortunately that was a mistake - the rooms and staff are really high standard but the place was ridiculously busy. There seemed to be a number of corporate events running and we felt like bystanders at these functions as bars and pools were closed several times during our 4 night stay. Management showed little interest - no response to requests that they simply provide advance notice that facilities would be closed. I guess that underlines that Management didn’t seem to be interested in private guests. There were also long waits for breakfast - again I am sure the corporate guests would have been very well looked after. We were celebrating a special occasion and it was a mistake to stay here - we won’t be returning. As an aside we were also ‘refunded’ breakfast - which should have been included as we are Titanium members and also parking that we didn’t use - my advice would be to check your bill carefully.
It’s convenient
They take advantage of you and charge you for anything. They don’t have good water fountains for regular water everything is those cheap plastics waters. Food is average.
Nice hotel with pretty grounds and a fun pool area that my teens enjoyed. Booked a junior suite which was basically a larger hotel room. Good location close to Aventura shopping. Hotel service was tough on a busy weekend and the main lobby bar was frequently closed for events, a small inconvenience. Breakfast was very good, but again overly busy.
Didn’t stay there ended up leaving it was not as advertised
No free pool adult only 2 passes for pool free 70 a person extra it’s a water park open to public and we couldn’t get a chair . We spent 250 on lunch that was nothing special that came in to go tins. staff was nasty. Made you check through security and sign waivers everytime you enter pool. Would never come back this is far from luxury resort
They are unable to handle the capacity that they book at. We were provided with free breakfast each morning of our stay. Issue is… they can’t seat people. The first am it was a 2 hr wait and it was pure chaos with people lined up where complaining. Mind you this is a buffet breakfast. Same on the next day as well so we were unable to take advantage of the free breakfast. For the showers. We were in the 16 floor and had zero. I mean zero hot water. We let the shower run for 45 minutes in hopes of getting some hot water with no luck. We called the front desk with no assistance. Additional my husband went to the gym- returned to the room just to find out the key didn’t work. He goes all the way back down to come up to again a non working key. He went back down and the answer he got was “we can’t test it here for you. You just have to go up to the room every time”. We are titanium for life at Marriott. I can’t image how they treat everyone else.
Staff were fantastic service was exceptional.
Basic functions such as toilets not flushing and luke warm showers were not repaired due to water leak and fire alarms going off however they credited any charges on accounts as a gesture which was appreciated.
We stayed here for one night prior to a cruise (on points--the cost was a bit prohibitive during Easter Week), and it was fantastic. We had a HUGE room (700 sq. feet) that overlooked the golf course. It was a bit far from the Miami Airport, so the Uber was a bit expensive, but I didn't mind because...it had its own water park. My teenaged boys were in heaven and really enjoyed spending an afternoon there. There were a lot of families with little children because of Spring Break, so keep that in mind. It was a bit noisy on the resort outside the rooms, but the room itself was quiet--this is because there were multiple buildings. We were in the Jasmine building. You could tell the carpet and a few other things were a bit worn, but it was still lovely. The bathrooms were epic--huge and all marble. It was clean, though, so that was a bonus. The vibe was a relaxed elegance that was still family-friendly. I really liked it. The service was good. We didn't utilize it a lot. I will say it was tough to find towels at the water park and no one seemed to be helping there much. But inside the hotel itself, everyone was helpful. There is a Starbucks on site (next to the spa), and it doesn't take mobile orders, so the line can get a bit long. I did use the gym. It's inside the spa. There is a side door around the corner from the Starbucks you can use to get in after (or before) spa hours. It looks like the mall is a far walk--it's not. And there's a path!! I was worried about that, but we were easily able to walk to dinner (since the food on site was a bit expensive). The location is a bit odd being across from the mall--not what you'd expect for a big resort, but it seemed to work.
One of the best stays I’ve experienced. Exceptional service, great attention to detail, and a very professional team. Highly recommended. An outstanding stay from arrival to departure. The team was incredibly helpful and always available. Truly excellent service.
Nothing
Nice room
Hotel didn’t make up beds for children or provide a cot prior to their 2am arrival despite 2 reminders to desk and several emails It then took another hour and half to get it sorted Breakfast average and not enough tables so 1 hour wait which meant we had to resort to Starbucks as children were too hungry to wait
Spent an afternoon of relaxation and absolute zen at Ame Spa. From the moment you arrive, the team makes you feel at home and at ease. Every touch point was perfect. A heartfelt thank you the Spa Director Lilly and Spa Attendant Dwayne who provided me with a warm welcome, and Evangelina and Fallon who made all of my stress melt away. Will definitely be rebooking my return soon!
Property is clean and impeccable
The problem is the lack of standard in client experience from the staff. Your experience in this resort is a complete lottery because you may have to deal with a bad humored staff that says no to everything or a very friendly, proactive person. It is very frustrating
Extremely disappointed in lack of customer service. Management was unresponsive to multiple requests to speak to them. Check in process was a nightmare. Got there close to 5:00pm and room was not ready (mind you check in time is 4:00). After standing in line for 15 minutes to be told my room wasn’t ready, I then got to stand in line again for another 10 minutes once I got the text it was actually ready (around 6pm). The hotel did nothing to make it right, management never reached out after I made three separate requests to speak to them. On top of the terrible check in process, there was a black curly hair in the “clean”glass in the hotel room that caused me to gagged as I saw it. Resort charges an automatic 18% gratuity (which I have no problem with if service met that). But multiple times had to ask for refills on water, drinks, etc. Worst lounge I have ever experienced. Every Marriott I have ever been in provides a full-blown breakfast in the morning. This lounge had muffins, croissants, fruits, and coffee…. that was it. I couldn’t used the outlet on nightstand to charge my phone at night. Called Engineer to come in and he said it was the way things are wired and he couldn’t do anything about it. As soon as the light switch is turned off, so is everything else in that circuit. So had to charge my phone in the bathroom which was not ideal since I use my phone for my white noise. We payed way too much money for the experience we received. Extremely disappointed as a Platinum Elite.
We have now visited this hotel two times. Each time we have had issues. This is a costly hotel. We had a one bedroom suite. The rooms are nice but service is awful and no real Marriott benefits. The so called club is a joke. Very little food and short hours. We needed a late check out and they forced us out at 11am. No place to print other than for a fee. When they cleaned our suite they gave us one bath towel for 3 people. They say the golf course view is the upgraded room but you get to hear the noise of cutting the grass at 6am. I think there are many better hotels for this price.
We are currently staying at the hotel and there is a real housekeeping problem. We arrived in our room late at night and found a dirty sock nestled in the curtains. We alerted the front desk in the morning but when we returned in the evening the dirty sock was still there. There are also stains on the furniture and carpet. At this point in my stay, I would not return to this hotel.
Expansive outdoor area surrounded by golf course and pools Large water park Great restaurant on site Proximity to Aventure mall
Staff seemed unprofessional and was generally unhelpful when voicing concerns No Nespresso in the rooms Refillable shower amenities (not individual packaging) Housekeeping did not come Mini fridge stacked with beverages (no room for personal use)
What an absolutely amazing hotel with exemplary service! There is so many things to do while on property and so many things within walking distance if you want to venture. Couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Shout out to Adam for making our stay comfortable and being so warm and hospitable. We would definitely come back!
This place was awesome with so much to do. The weather was 80 and sunny everyday and the workers were all super nice. The waterpark was very fun with little to no wait at all. The golf courses were very nice and they had very nice clubs. There was a variety of different foods which were all very good. My hotel room was clean and had a great view with an apartment type of feel. So much to do around the area as well. Gym was awesome + the stores on the resort were very good.
Nice place to stay. Amazing golf view. Nice and clean rooms. There is nice water park. Nice rides. Marriott bonvoy points. Nice staff.
We stayed at the hotel midweek for my wife’s birthday and it was a very special experience. I couldn’t possibly write this review without mentioning Secil the reservation manager. I cant even begin to explain how she went above and beyond to make this happen. I dont think i have ever come across anyone in the Marriott group or actually anywhere who gives so much to ensure your stay is outstanding. The resort is beautiful. Our room was amazing overlooking the golf course and the waterpark is such an amazing way of spending the day in the sun. This was a staycation for us. While we only live 30 minutes away from the resort, it felt like a world away from the daily grind. Thank you Secil for making the day so special. She is one in a million.
I was VERY impressed with tidal cove water park - the staff, the life guards, the grounds - everything was top notch. I felt safe with my children swimming bc of the attentive lifeguards. The only thing that was unfortunate was one of the slides my kids wanted to ride was shut down for maintenance for the three days we were there. As for the hotel, it was beautiful with a nice landscape and grounds. The lobby was pretty but I was disappointed their lounge was only available to “elite” members. For the room, we had a junior suite and it was spacious but was surprisingly loud. We could hear the conversation word for word in the room next door or when anyone walked by in the hallway. For almost $1k a night I’d expect better sound proofing. The beds were comfortable but the pull out was atrociously uncomfortable. We had been at a Marriott vacation club days before and theirs was perfectly comfortable. Overall, it was nice but for the cost of the room I was expecting more.
This resort is full of amenities and fun for all ages. Golf and great food for the adults, amazing pool and evening hot chocolate for the kids. We hope to make this a regular winter trip for our family. The only thing I wish was that there was more dining options but with many options in the neighborhood, we left the resort for dinner a couple of times.
What a total disaster - do not stay here anywhere close to high season. We were here for one night post cruise with my two kids (9 and 11) and my parents. We checked in at 9 am and didn’t get a room until 7 pm. I had high hopes for this property, but I can unequivocally say we will not be back. After an early morning check-in, we were told we would get a text when the room is ready. So, we went to the water park at about 10:30 am. It was near impossible to find 4 chairs at this point. I finally found some and then was reprimanded by the towel guy for not waiting for an attendant (what attendant, there were no when we walked in. How would we have know we needed to wait?). We ordered food early, half of the order came. The other half the server had to hunt down. Everything was so crowded with only 1/2 of their women’s bathrooms working. 1 set was totally closed, the other had one overflowing toilet, two others without toilet paper and two functioning stalls. Multiple people reported this issue to management over several hours and nothing was done. By 3:45 I hadn’t received a text about my room, despite the ap showing a 2:30 checkin time, so I went to the lobby. It was total chaos. A line of people 30 deep, children camped out with their families in corners, luggage everywhere. I finally spoke to Adam, who tried his best to find us a room but at 4 pm he acknowledged that housekeeping was behind and it would probably be another hour before our room was ready. Keep in mind, I had two wet pool kids with me who needed to get cleaned up. He was very professional and did offer to comp part of our stay. 2 hours later I still had not received a text, so I sent a chat message to the property checking on status. Only then was I told the room was ready. I never got a text. So, back I went to the lobby, which was worse than the last time. Children melting down so loudly (I assume because their family was in the same position as us), that I could barely hear the front desk clerk. It was absolute bedlam. A woman at the pool that day had warned me of her similar experience the day before. To their credit the front desk staff stayed clam and professional, but wow. I don’t know how they do that every day. Once we got to our room, we quickly realized that we were next to where staff leaves all of the room service dishes to be collected. I couldn’t figure out why it sounded like a kitchen next door, until I poked my head out to find an employee stacking a huge collection of glassware and dishes to return to the kitchen. The same thing happened in the morning. See pic. Our room had a golf course view but in front of it was a service entrance where backup car alerts went well into the night. Coupled with our location next to the elevator, we got minimal sleep. And the bathtub was woefully dirty. Avoid 3-137. Overall, I was grateful we were only there for one night. We will not be back.
One needs to compare apples to apples. Comparing a "5 star" to a 4 star or less is unfair. I've stayed at the St. Regis Bal Harbour and Ritz Carlton properties to compare fairly. I don't think it's a correct assessment to say they're 5 star though--I'd say 4-4 1/2 but used to be 5. All the fancy cars on the property might make you think otherwise, as would the prices. It's definitely a place for the upper class to stay. I think that while the resort fee covers some good amenities such as the water park, a discount on the spa ($50 for the day), and other things that were unclear when I checked in at the VIP check in for Platinum or higher and those checking in thru the Edit (thru the Chase travel portal) such as the driving range (the one checking us in was unsure) as I was directed to ask someone else--maybe bikes--anyone checking you in needs to know these things. The resort fee with taxes is just over $70 per day, which includes two passes to the waterpark. Highlights: Generally a beautiful and impressive property as expected overall Checking in thru VIP check in was impressive but when busy, would not be worth the wait An upgrade with status and availability Lowlights Being booted out by 11am the day of check out. The cleaner was ringing the room doorbell at 10:55. Going on a long weekend is a mistake for one day. While you can get into the waterpark early the day of but will need to use their waterpark change rooms. When checking in early, with many rooms not slept in the previous night (there was plenty of availability the previous night) don't expect the convenience of having a room ready for you. They found us a room with someone who had an "early" late checkout of 1pm rather than an empty room but the room was still not ready until after 2:30 by text. So you're thinking that with so many granted late checkouts the day you check in, that someone with lifetime Platinum status would get it upon request for the day they checkout? Not when they are mostly out of that particular type of room. Then you're relegated to changing in the waterpark change room. So in other words, everyone got late checkout the day I checked in but they would not offer me the same courtesy. Not impressed. Mentioned a birthday was connected to the stay, and they called to ask permission to drop off a treat, which was really nice-but when told we keep kosher so don't bother but thanks anyways because I was sure they would not accommodate, they dropped off the treat we couldn't have anyways. The property is beginning to show signs of wear and tear-the elevator experience was they're very slow and one did not have the floor display screen functioning. The elevator button also looked worn as did one of the outlets in the room which didn't function. In a Jewish area, kosher options for breakfasts and at VIP check-in would have be thoughtful. This is not a Boise hotel--kosher options should be easy enough to get if the will is there. Don't lose your Waterpark receipt as the replacement cost is $300 (read the fineprint)! They cannot associate the paper pass with a specific stay and with ID so that it could be replaced for free easily? Would I come back? No. I'd rather stay at the Residence Inn Aventura, across the street. I think they need to be more thoughtful, knowledgeable, and do some renos.
Disgusting. Here for 5 nights. Only on night 1. Room has red stains on carpet and is ripped. Not vacuumed. Front desk said no way to move. Do not spend $1400/nights to get fleas
This is a beautiful grounds resort. The rooms are tired and need some love. The platform bed frames are fraying and the doors have been painted so many times it’s chipping. The couch and chairs need reupholstering as they are stained and ripping. For the amount you spend there’s another resort within 30 min thats hands down better value for the Buck and Super high end! They have a water park for kiddos and families so that’s a huge plus. The breakfast buffet is very expensive for the amount of food people actually eat. The golf is very nice and the people who run it are exceptional! The regular pool has lots of umbrellas and the rule is 1 person/1chair no exception! Pool attendant s are not friendly & they gate keep the towels. It’s in a great location with the Aventura mall across the street with LOTS of options for eating! That’s a super plus.
Beautiful grounds. Super clean. Room was massive, clean and quiet. Tidal Cove was great but water was very cold for the price we paid.
Staff were not friendly at check in. I felt like an inconvenience.
There were a few bad reviews of this hotel from late December/early January. I just wanted to say we had a very good experience when we spent one night pre-cruise. In mid January. The spacious room was spotless and the bed comfortable. We had a late dinner and breakfast at Corsair kitchen and Bar. For dinner I had the fish tacos and my husband had the club sandwich. Both were excellent. For breakfast, hubby enjoyed the chicken and waffle and I loved the pancakes. The staff was very friendly and professional. The only thing I would mention is that this location is about 40 mins from the airport, but only about 20 from the cruise port. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
Everything especially the water park!!
