Faythe Guesthouse

We enjoyed staying in Faythe guesthouse which is run by Damian and Siobhan. We love the immense hospitality provided by them. Breakfast is out of the world with so much variety of condiments can be added to the plain yogurt. The soda bread is so soft and tender. So many variety of cakes like Guinness cake banana cake which are so good and not too sweet. Breakfast are cooked in perfection. Location is just 10 minutes walk to town. Damian also recommended the pub 'John Barry Pub' on Thursday night where the local ordinary people played music and dance which we enjoyed so much. We will definitely recommend our friends to go to stay there.

Beautiful situated very clean and tidy the owners have obviously bern doing this a long time and have everything down to a fine art.

Second time I’ve stayed here whilst touring Ireland via motorcycle. Great stop off after arriving on the ferry. Clean, comfortable and great value for money.

It was perfectly located to explore Wexford- walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shops and pubs. The owners were very friendly and helpful with local recommendations and breakfast was delicious!

This property was in a great location for our ongoing travels. We had a lovely Irish welcome and enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of our room The breakfast and lovely chat with Siobhan in the morning was the icing on the cake with so much knowledge of the area and even the area we were traveling to was great The breakfast was fantastic with fresh traditional foods cooked to perfection Thanks Damian Absolutely great start to our holiday x

Perfekt läge för den som kommer med bil till Rosslare. Bara att svänga om hörnet så är man i stan. Charmigt ställe och mycket trevlig personal, precis vad man hoppas på i Irland.

Breakfast was 5 star - the variety and freshness of all the food was a delight

Great location in Wexford with on site parking. The room was spacious, very clean and well appointed. The staff were very friendly, there was an extensive breakfast menu, and the food was delicious. The owners have obviously gone to a lot of care to make a very good B&B.

Shower in room 10 needs upgrading

Super convenient as we needed somewhere with parking before taking the Rosslare car ferry in the morning. Damian checked us in and gave us a map of the local area with recommendations. It's only a short walk into town for a lovely meal, there is also a huge Tesco in the area. The bed was really comfy and everything was really clean.

Upon entering we were warmly welcomed, given a map of the town detailing places to eat. We were then shown to our room which was delightfu.l

For us there was nothing to dislike we had to leave early for the ferry so were unable to get breakfast, which was bei g prepared as we left, the aroma coming from the kitchen area was divine.

The breakfast was excellent, we could not asked for better.

Great location, with the town centre and other amenities just a 1 km walk away. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. There's also a nice pub just behind the property and a good restaurant nearby, making it a convenient place to stay.

Echt iers huis+ inrichting. Mooie kamer, echt een B&B zoals het moet zijn. zeer rustig. Fantastisch homemade fully breakfast met huisgebakken brood en cakes.😋

Everything!! First impressions when driving in were ‘wow’- the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Free parking round the back too. Siobhan was really friendly and very helpful with advice re where to visit/eat etc. Our room was at the back of the house with beautiful views out over the water. The room was spacious with plenty of storage and a really comfy bed. Big bathroom with plenty of room too. Very quiet at night, so sleep not an issue. The breakfasts were probably the best we’ve had on our travels. Excellent choice of fruits, cereals and home made soda bread, tea loaves and banana loaves. The main breakfast included quality ingredients all cooked to order. Not far to walk into town so very handy. We loved it here and can’t recommend highly enough.

The breakfast was fantastic. Have travelled a lot through UK and EU countries and the breakfasts are disappointing. This was loaded with fresh fruit,a choice of fish or full Irish/English/ vegan etc. all cooked fresh. Nothing too much trouble for the lovely staff. A real delight

This hotel had plenty of space for parking. It was an easy 20 minute walk to the center of town. It was quiet. The people that worked here were lovely and the room had a lot of space.

It could’ve been a little bit closer to town but oh well..

Die Lage war sehr gut. Allerdings war das Zimmer zur Straßße hin und ab 6 Uhr recht laut. Das Frühstück war das beste, das wir jemals in einem Bed & Breakfast bekommen haben und besser als in jedem Hotel.

Room was very comfortable with an a King size bed. Breakfast was superb with a great variety on menu. Damian and Siobhan and all staff we encountered were very helpful and very friendly. Located in the Faythe area of Wexford town the accommodation is excellently located - close to the town centre and harbour area but also a quiet neighbourhood. Excellent base for touring with parking on site

I felt nothing was too much trouble. They really understand what guests need, particularly if you're only there for a night. They gave us a nice little map and low-down on the local restaurants and local trad music, which we really appreciated. It can't be easy having to repeat that info every time a guest checks in but it really helps orient you. We had a really nice room with a view and a TV that we could actually work for once. The location was great, just a short potter into town, and free parking. The standout thing for us was the breakfast - I would travel for this breakfast. Freshly baked soda bread, banana bread and delicious cooked breakfast of various kinds. We regretted we weren't staying another night so we could experience it all over again!

Location was within walking distance from the opera house, sea front, twin churches and Selskar Abbey. Breakfast was excellent.

My Cottage room Comfortable bed. Good clean bathroom. View into garden from my room Location was perfect short pleasant walk to town centre and waterfront. Special mention goes out to Siobhan our fantastic breakfast host , she couldn't go out of her way more than she did even though she tried. Delicious breakfast with a wide choice of options. 🇮🇪 Soda bread was superb as were the Wexford strawberries. Thank you Siobhan.

Damien and Siobhan were very welcoming. The room was excellent. The guesthouse was in a very convenient location for Wexford town. The breakfast was excellent and very filling. It set us up for the day..

Very close to the centre of town, but in a quiet area. Lovely garden spaces. Wonderful breakfasts. We were so pleased to have an early breakfast when we were travelling on a ferry. Great bar nearby, but not noisy.

Everything was great!

Schönes großes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück. Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort, daher konnten wir uns nicht so genau umschauen. Der Vermieter hat uns einen guten Tipp, einen Pub mit Livemusik, gegeben, welcher sich als bester Live-Abend vom gesamten Roadtrip herauskristallisierte.

Mooie kamer en badkamer

Ontbijtzaaltje was kil en ongezellig. Moesten in de lobby wachten tot we gehaald werden en het eetkamertje in mochten. Werden geplaatst aan een tafeltje onder een tv waar het Ierse nieuws een uur lang (herhalende) ellende in mijn oor zat te tetteren. Ontbijt was lekker met vers gebakken broden en eieren naar wens.

A small carry out for breakfast if have to catch early morning ferry.

The room was spacious comfortable and clean the curtains had blackout lininings, there was a hairdryer, ironing board, iron and boot horn, kettle and tea/coffee . Comfortable beds. So there was everything you could need. The breakfast was exceptional. The kind of choice I would expect to see in a five star hotel. The buffet had soda bread, tea bread, another cake, yoghourt, stewed red fruits, fruit salad, melon, seeds of all kinds, granola, other cereals, probably cheese but I can't remember. The options for cooked breakfast included Kedgeree, which is not something you often see on a guest house menu, good coffee in a caftiere, all served promptly. We felt really looked after.

It was a little dated but I myself was more than happy with the style. May not suit those looking for a boutique.
