We have just finished a 2 night stay at Bay Lodge. Claire and Kevin were fabulous hosts, nothing was too much trouble. If you are lucky you will meet Dave too. It’s about a 10 minute walk into town and 1 hour along to St Michael’s Mount so a great location. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable and there is complimentary tea/coffee and a fan in the hot weather. Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning with a variety of continental items too. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bay Lodge or to return if we are in the area. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen. De kamer was niet groot maar wel schoon en mooi. We hadden twee aparte bedden maar dat vonden wij niet erg. Het ontbijt was ook goed. Je kon kiezen uit een engels ontbijt, toast met ei, yoghurt met vers fruit, diverse sappen. Kortom genoeg. Het ligt op loopafstand van Penzance. In een echte Engelse pub Wetherspoon wat gedronken. Er is in de omgeving van alles te zien.

De badkamer en de wastafel waren erg klein.

The rooms aren't cramped and they're really nice inside. The bed was comfy. The ensuite bathroom has a good modern shower, there's a hair dryer in every room which is very handy. Breakfasts are excellent and filling; you can have full English, cereal, toast with jam, mixed fruit&fresh yogurt. Clare is really welcoming and kind. The b&b is just a 10 minute walk from the station, 2 minutes away from bus stops and it's an odd 10 minute walk from the high street. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great breakfasts - generous servings, loved the fresh fruit and yoghurt and choice of hot dishes. The location was excellent - able to walk easily to and from the railway and bus stations, shops and restaurants. Lovely to be so close to the seafront. The owners were very friendly and obliging.

It was very comfortable and I can't think of something I didn't like.

Breakfast was excellent. There were too many options for us. The location is also very good, 0.5 miles to main shops and lovely beaches. Thank you, Clare, you are a wonderful person. If we want to visit again, we will definitely book yours.

It was so clean and comfortable. Very near train and bus terminals which is so useful. Lovely view from my room of the sea and St. Michaels Mount.

I am so glad to have booked our stay in Penzance here at Bay Lodge. Clare and Kevin were exceptional hosts whilst we were there offering what we needed and advice of the area. The rooms were lovely. My room had the extra bonus of the balcony which was a great feature. So nice to sit out there in late afternoon. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice. Definitely won't go hungry in the morning and can even skip lunch. Location was excellent, just a short stroll from the centre and also so close to the A30 enabling us to go further afield for visits. We had to miss our last morning breakfast as we had to leave early for the ferry. Clare prepared a goody bag for us to take away. It was very nice of her. Highly recommended staying here for anyone. Hopefully we a return one day.

Excellent host and lovely room. Facilities were great...I especially found the honesty fridge really useful. Fantastic breakfast. Claire couldn't have looked after me better.

Room was very warm. Not sure there was much anyone could do about that...fan much appreciated. For me personally, the bed was very soft...but sure thats a personal preference.

Das Frühstück war sehr gur. Verschiedene Ceralien standen zur Verfügung und jeden Morgen frisches Obst mit Naturjoghurt. Danach gab es sehr reichhaltes englisches Frühstück. Clare erfüllte jeden Wunsch: weniger Ei, kein Würstchen, oder sogar ein normal gekochtes Ei. Es war immer sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Clare war sehr herzlich und fragte immer ob etwas fehlte. Kevin half bei den Zubereitungen.

Sehr gutes Frühstück, tolle freundliche Gastgeber. Den Sitzplatz am Erkerfenster mit Meerblick habe ich sehr gerne genutzt. Wasserkocher und Tee stehen bereit sowie Milch im Kühlschrank vor der Zimmertür. Alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Eine Bushaltestelle befindet sich direkt um die Ecke, ein Supermarkt nur 5 Minuten entfernt zu Fuß. Für mich war es perfekt.

The room was compact but very clean and well maintained. It included thoughtful amenities, such as convenient charging facilities by the bed. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The location was very convenient, with the train station only a 10-minute walk away and a bus stop nearby, making it easy to visit St Ives and other nearby attractions. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend it.

The only drawback was the rather small bathroom.

Ospitalità e gentilezza incredibile da parte di Clare e Kevin. Ottima colazione all'inglese preparata al momento ma anche opzione continentale. Stazione treni e bus a 5minuti a piedi oltre che parcheggio riservato per chi viene in auto. Tutto molto cozy and clean :-)

Great B and B within a short walk to Penzance town , seafront ,bus station and train station . Excellent to explore the area .

Good location, walking distance from Penzance centre, near bus stop and train station, plenty of free parking. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, lovely seating area with view of the sea. Good size bathroom, wardrobe with plenty of space. Great breakfast, lot of choice from full English to cereals and croissants, yoghurt and fruit salad. Best of all Clare a wonderful host, helpful with local and travel information and always cheerful. Kevin cooked great breakfast and helped us with a car problem, which we really appreciated. All in all a wonderful stay!

It was very easy to get to Bay Lodge from the train station and very clean and organised when we arrived Clair and Kevin were great hosts and we appreciated the very yummy cooked breakfast especially as it was so hot in the kitchen It was great to have the bike secured overnight

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely bed and breakfast. The host Clare was warm, engaging, and had a great sense of humour which made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast each morning was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Location good and a short walk to the town. A relaxing and enjoyable stay — we would happily return and highly recommend it to others.

The shower is on the small size however I am living in a larger body and while it was tight it got the job done.

One of the loveliest guest houses that I have ever stayed in. I received a warm welcome on my arrival. My room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was delicious. Clare was a brilliant host. I would love to stay there again, and I would highly recommend a stay to fellow travellers.

Breakfast was excellent. Vegetarian full breakfast, a range of juice, cereal, toast all included. I particularly liked the fresh coffee and fresh fruit. The room had a good view of the sea . Comfortable bed and an excellent shower.

Clare was very welcoming and informative. The cooked breakfast was really good. Plus there was a selection of cereals and fresh fruit. Free parking at the accommodation which was a bonus. The room was small but functional and adequate for a single traveller. There was a balcony from which I could see the sea and St Michael's Mount. Good location, a short stroll to the town centre and to a sandy beach in the other direction.

This is an excellent accommodation. It’s convenient to the train station. They had a place to store our bicycles. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. The hosts were attentive and eager to be helpful.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht, weil die Beschreibung bei booking.com nicht stimmte: das Zweibettzimmer war nicht groß wie angekündigt, sondern kleiner als in den anderen 7 Unterkünften. Außer den Betten passten keine Möbel rein, zumindest kein kleiner Tisch, kein Schrank und kein Schreibtisch Der Wasserkocher stand auf der Fenstersimse, davor standen 2 Stühle. Das Bad war klein mit einem winzigen Waschbecken. Wenn man sich zum Zähneputzen hinunterbeugte, hatte man vom automatischen Seifenspender Seife auf den Haaren. Da wir die Vermieterin erst beim Frühstück sahen und sie uns das Zimmer bei der Ankunft nur ganz kurz gezeigt hatte, merkte ich an, dass es sich nicht um ein großes Zimmer handelt. Daraufhin hat sie uns aus der Pension geworfen, obwohl wir 2 Nächte gebucht und bezahlt hatten. So etwas ist uns in mehr als 40 Jahren Reisen noch nie passiert.

The property owner could not have been more helpful . They moved their own car to accommodate our van , allowed us to park early whilst we went of cycling for the day before check in . The property was well kept, clean bright and close to Penzance and Marizon without you being in the busy parts. Easy access to a bus stop if you didn’t want to drive to Marizon . Really comfortable bed , Breakfast well, 5 stars from us . Beautiful and freshly cooked to order. We would stay again .

We chose it for the location and good reviews & weren’t disappointed. The room (1) was ‘cosy’, clean and comfortable, with 2 chairs and occasional table at the window with a side view of the bay. Only 4 guest rooms ensured a homely and personalised welcome. There is a fridge on the landing with fresh milk and reasonably priced bottles of water and snack options as an honesty box. The breakfast was amazing, with gluten free options including sausage & cereal; nothing was too much trouble. Claire, the hostess , is jolly, attentive and caring. Nothing was too much trouble and, as a local, her knowledge of the area clear and freely shared. Less than 10’ walk from the bus & train station and onwards into town, Tesco’s & other supermarkets and fuel stations in the other and a bus stop around the corner with a view of Mounts Bay, the sound of the sea on the shingle and a designated parking space we highly recommend a stay. We’ll be back!

There is nothing detrimental to report. Our room had a very small en-suite and a double rather than king bed, but it had the better view. You pays your money, you makes your choice. We’ll ask for room 2 next time!

Excellent breakfast

Lovely place with friendly husband and wife team who made our stay very special by celebrating my daughter’s birthday with balloons, bubbly and a card. We were very touched by this.

Nice little traditional bed and breakfast that is getting rarer to find these days. Private car park is right outside entrance. Host Eva came to greet us on our arrival, helped us with luggage upstairs. Room is spotlessly clean, well maintained and cosy. Bathroom is somewhat small but functional. Location is great, walkable to Penzance centre, and bus stops are right round the corner, where the buses could take you to the major tourist spots like Marazion, St. Ives (no need to change at St Erth) and Mousehole. Particularly good is the made to order traditional English breakfast.

The toilet/ shower room was way too small. I am a big man with knee problems and I found the ensuite confronting and uncomfortable. It may not be the same for small people but I didn’t use the shower because I was worried I may get stuck in it.

Está muy bien ubicado. Puedes llegar a las estaciones de trenes o buses caminando en 15 minutos. También puedes ir caminando desde allí a Mont Saint Michel. Clare estupenda ,una persona muy amable , simpática y atenta ante cualquier necesidad .El desayuno muy rico. Hermosas vistas desde la habitación.

Pristine is the only way I can describe this accommodation and my bed was so comfortable - hugely impressed! Breakfast was delicious with a great range of healthy options and the location was great for me - a quick walk from the bus and train station and right on the South West Coast Path. I was travelling alone and felt extremely safe and welcomed by Claire and her team.

Spacious, clean, quiet, cosy. Home made breakfast is warm and delicious . Guest parking just outside very convenient.
