Kettle in room all green inside so could not use Not able to have breakfast in the morning as Scillonian was sailing earlier Had a meal in restaurant ordered 2 x Jam sponge and 1 treacle sponge. Was told no treacle sponge so changed for Jam sponge. Three puddings delivered were not Jam the were spotted dick. Restaurant seemed to be in a bit of a confusion

The Staff are excellent, the Breakfast was spot on and the room very clean throughout literally opposite the train station and a few minutes walk to the seafront.

The staff were friendly, although there was quite a difference between the staff who served dinner (who were excellent) and the team who looked after breakfast (who were completely hopeless and did not have a clue about how to serve a decent breakfast) we had a very nice evening meal and the TV worked without much effort - sounds silly but I am always amazed at how difficult it seems to be for B&B's to maintain a working TV!!!

The accommodation was badly sited (£11.50 for car parking, the car park being sited by a very busy road), although it was in the town centre - the pub bar was OK, but the accommodation was very tired and lacked some TLC - the room itself was a good size, but the bathroom was very dated - the shower configuration made it unusable, and there were problems with the hot water - it seemed to go on and off without any notice - the reception staff (the breakfast crew, who once again were rubbish) merely shrugged and said that nobody else had mentioned it.

Camera spaziosa e letti comodi ma in generale struttura un po' datata, senza però il fascino di strutture analoghe che hanno mantenuto un sapore da Inn più antico. Bello il pub sottostante ma siamo arrivati troppo tardi per utilizzarlo se non per la colazione della mattina dopo.

Il bagno aveva un sistema di accensione che non ho mai usato e ci ho messo un po' a capire come far arrivare l'acqua calda, magari qualche info extra sul funzionamento sarebbe stata utile. La colazione non era niente di straordinario.

We couldn’t sleep with the window open due to the noise of the road, plus the door wasn’t very sound proof, and there are creaky floorboards in the room above, so we were woken up earlier than we wanted.

Very comfortable one night stay at the Longboat Inn. It’s a lovely old pub and very close to the station. Staff are fabulous. Room was large and the bed extremely comfortable. Good sized shower. Will definitely stay here when I’m next in Penzance

I felt invisible to everyone who worked there and the room was very outdated (think 1980s), shower tray did not drain. It is a pub, with rooms. Great potential to compete with premier inn but they did not take the opportunity to give me a reason to book elsewhere next time.

Staff were in the main very good -however had a rude experience when we went back to pick up our suitcases on morning of departure. The manager (or similar) ignored us for 8-10 minutes while he dealt with a phone query. There were two other staff but the seemed so focused on solving the managers phone issue that it was as tho we were invisible…in the end one saw our plight and found our bags, however it was poor service to end an otherwise good stay

Our room was a standard double room, small-average size with an basic ensuite, very clean. Altogether reasonably basic, but enough facilities for the one night stop over we wanted. The room looked out to the reasonably quiet side road. Location was a couple of minutes walk from the train station which was perfect for us. About a 15 minute walk along the front to the ferry terminal. Food and drink in the bar downstairs was excellent.

Lots of stairs, doors and landings to negotiate to get to the room, which was awkward when we had heavy suitcases.

Location is good. There are many good restaurant nearby the hotel and the parking is only 5 mins walking. There is no lift in the hotel but luckily we stayed in the first floor.

The weather is hot. It will be great if they can provide a fan in the room.

Fantastic stay with excellent communication! Dropping my bag at 9:45am allowed me to enjoy sightseeing straight away. The location is unbeatable, just 2 minutes from the station and bus station, making day trips a breeze. Check-in was smooth, staff were very friendly, and having my case carried up to my room was a lovely touch. The room had a fan and was serviced daily with top-ups of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits. Being able to store my luggage until 4:00pm for my 4:33pm train made my last day effortless.

In a good position, close to bus station & railway station. Hotel was clean and staff were welcoming. Easy parking in harbour car park just a short walk from hotel.

The room we were given was on the top floor and there is no lift ,which we did know about before booking. A lovely young lady carried our case up the two flights of stairs for us as we are both in our 70's. However the room we had was so so hot. The fan provided did not help unfortunately. Would stop there again but not on the top floor.

Vi fick rum mot gården det var löjligt mycket obehaglig köksdoft från ert kök och indiska restaurangen. Människor rökte utanför. Indiska restaurangen tömde sitt glas kl 23 på kvällarna. All lukt kom in genom det enda fönstret av 3 som gick att öppna. Vilket var olidligt varmt och illa luktande

Location was pretty good. Rooms were clean.

Constant noise during the night from either a washing machine running or a pipe banging. Breakfast was poor. Toast was particularly poor why not have a toaster to toast bread freshly.

Non ho fatto colazione quindi non so dare un giudizio. Le camere si trovano sopra al pub che però chiude alle 22 quindi il silenzio è assicurato. La posizione è comodissima proprio al principio (o in fondo) della principale strada commerciale. Ho trovato facilmente parcheggio gratuito in strada, alle spalle del b&b. Staff molto cortese, istruzioni chiarissime

Non c'è ascensore. la mia camera era al secondo piano. per me è andata benissimo perché ho viaggiato con un trolley leggero, ma se avete bagagli pesanti o ingombranti potrebbe essere un problema

Its location was great; a short walk from Penzance Railway Station. The Inn had a great old fashioned bar. Cider was inexpensive, and Pensioner’s Scampi dinner was a good budget meal.

It was quite hot in the hallways and other areas upstairs due to the unseasonable heat. Ground floor was ok

The windows didn’t quite shut properly so it was a bit noisy.

The property was old but it was clean the beds were comfortable and bedding were good quality. Everything you needed was in the room,they even had a fan for the warm weather. We asked for iced water to take to our it was given at no extra cost, every one of the staff were great very friendly. The food was great and can recommend the fish and chips 😋and it is right next to the train station.

Was a little tired…the shower was awful..& shower gel wasn’t replaced after first day.. Bathroom was small & had no room to place anything.. Window in room only opened about 6” so was warm..had fan on all night.. The carpet on stairwell up to the rooms was dirty… Breakfast was ok..but toast was pre prepared & left under heat lamp so ended up like polystyrene!! ..

I have stayed here before in the summer and some (all?) bedrooms get very hot in hot weather and stay hot at night. A fan was provided though.

Room was shabby: in poor decorative order; exposed plumbing; cracked window pane; on busy junction; and no parking.

There was a noise like a pump switching on and off all night in our room. The areas beyond the bar are showing significant wear and tear. The corridor to the room had a number of fire doors to navigate. We found that when we wanted a drink in the bar in the evening all the tables were reserved for diners.

Bathroom was very small. Its built in a way that you are likely to hit the door while coming out due to lack of standing space. Mattress is a bit bigger than bed so slight risk of slipping down while sleeping.

We stayed at the Longboat Inn during our walk along the South West Coast Path, and it was a great choice. The location was excellent — perfectly placed and very convenient after a long day of hiking. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout our stay, always happy to help. The food was another highlight; everything we tried was genuinely good, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge in the evening. Highly recommended!

Our room was unbelievably stuffy and noisy. A fan had been placed in the room but this barely made a difference. The window looked over an enclosed outdoor space used as the pub garden so will always be noisy. The staff were very polite, they explained we couldn’t move room as the hotel was full. They asked the drinkers in the garden to keep quiet, which they did for a short while. A combination of the noise and heat meant we got very little sleep.

We were on the top floor which was understandably hot, but the stench along the corridor was revolting and the stairs and passage carpets were filthy. I had to hold my breath each time we went back to our room 😕

There is no private car park. If you arrive later in the evening, the property is locked and you have to ask a staff member to let you in. Once inside, the staff member locks the main door behind you, making you feel as though you are locked in. It felt more like being back in student accommodation than staying in a hotel or guesthouse. The staff member seemed more interested in spending time with their partner than looking after guests, and it felt as though we were simply sent straight to our room. The whole experience was unwelcoming and unnecessarily restrictive.

Perfect location for getting the Scillonian, comfortable beds, nice breakfast and very friendly staff. Would stay here again when visiting Isles of Scilly.

We stayed twice, once before and once after our Isles of Scilly holiday, the room we had second time was so much better, the first room was warm and stuffy and the shower didn't work properly, second room was great.

Staff was helpful and the location was central.

The hotel was quite dated and there were issues with humidity. Also the toilet roll holder fell from the wall but this was fixed quickly the next day. There was no AC in the rooms as the building is old but there was a table fan in the room which helped a bit in the summer heat.
