Das Personal war super freundlich, der Blick recht gut.

Wir haben eine teures Zimmer für 300 Pfund pro Nacht gebucht (6 Tage gibt 1800 Pfund). Das Zimmer, das wir bekommen haben, war in einem Anbau. Es war sehr klein, einfach eingerichtet und kaum Ablageflächen, sehr ringhörig (wir haben jedes Wort der Nachbarn verstanden). In der Nacht hat man das Licht vom Gang her unter der Zimmertüre durchscheinen gesehen. Der Preis für dieses Zimmer ist eine Unverschämtheit.

Team was great and so accommodating. Mukesh was so welcoming he really made our trip comfortable. I love the food if surf and ministry of flavour restaurants.

La chambre et la vue sur l'océan étaient juste grandioses. Le jardin est fabuleux, quand on arrive, on se sent directement dans un havre de paix. Le restaurant est excellent. La piscine chauffée est très agréable. La proximité de la gare et de la station de bus est idéale. J'ai eu aussi la chance d'avoir un check in plusieurs heures plus tôt, c'est vraiment très appréciable.

Il y avait un bruit jour et nuit, du moteur de nettoyage de la piscine, semble-t-il. Pour ceux qui sont sensibles au bruit pour dormir, c'est vraiment dommage. L'isolation phonique n'est pas très bonne, mais il s'agit d'un vieux bâtiment, on s'y attend, il y aurait juste certainement quelque chose à faire avec l'ouverture/fermeture des portes des chambres. Les rideaux à moitié décrochés mériteraient un petit nettoyage et une remise en état. Il manque une machine à café.

Beautiful building, decor and amazing view of the harbour from the room. Gorgeous decor and little extra touches were appreciated. Very comfy, massive bed.

Very slow service in the restaurant and bar at dinner. The hotel needs more staff who need proper training. Beware the extra charge for parking if you can get a spot. Better to park in the street.

The view from the property is phenomenal, i still can’t get over from that!!. The staff is friendly and ready to help any moment. The breakfast staff was so welcoming and Harvy the true gentleman make our stay purely incredible…. Highly recommended to everyone The garden restaurant itself is purely art with lovely sea view….

Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice to have chilled iced tea on arrival. Room was large and bed was comfy.

It is all very shabby. Despite all the boasting of views and me asking specifically for a view I was given a room looking out on the carpark. The room was stuffy and noisy, I could hear guests in all surrounding rooms. Food was disappointing and the fish in the batter was so small as to be almost invisible.

Good location: just a few minutes' walk into the town centre, close to local supermarkets and the train station and only a short drive to St Michael's Mount Good breakfast & restaurant staff: the breakfast was delicious with a wide selection and the restaurant team was warm, kind and attentive. Room & views: the beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and we had a lovely view looking out over the harbour through the small window Pleasant grounds: the front garden was really nicely kept Fair customer service gesture: following our parking issue, one of the Receptionist waived the parking fees, which was appreciated

Frustrating parking experience: we were promised the only EV charging bay would be reserved exclusively for us throughout our stay, however, another guest parked a petrol/diesel car there and poor communication from reception left us waiting until 10:00 pm to get our space back Unwelcoming front desk: the reception staff were not very kind or helpful and failed to update us even after promising to do so Dated areas & strange odour: parts of the hotel feel outdated and there was an unpleasant smell around the stairwell Draughty room fixtures: the window (frame) was damaged, causing the curtains to move constantly in stronger winds

Amazing view from rooms and breakfast restaurant, very close to station and bus stop.

Had a lovely stay, the staff were so kind and genuinely cared about guest experience, fantastic food and good vibes all round, can’t wait to come back at some point! The location is brilliant and so close to the train station.

Die Ausstattung ist sehr alt, riecht modrig. Wir mussten zum Zimmer 2 steile Treppen hinauf unters Dach. Mit dem Gepäck kaum zu bewältigen. Zimmer klein, durch die Dachschräge noch weniger Bewegung möglich. Matratze stachen die Federn raus, was aber am nächsten Tag behoben wurde. Es hat never ever 4 Sterne verdient. Das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist miserabel

Walls for single rooms are paper thin plasterboard, not ideal when grounds of visitors are having a party in the corridor; £8.95 for a reserved parking spot, was a rip, not in headline price until you'd paid - then when I went to dinner came back and someone was in my 'reserved' place! No sing of the night porter early this morning

The cleanliness was terrible for 3 days I asked for room to be cleaned. Cobwebs pubic hair and dust. The fan was unusable due to dust. See photo On night 2 it still wasn't clean. The manager on duty got me a drink at the bar but when they opened the glass wash it stank and the staff even said pwor that stinks! On night 3 we came home to the ground floor room window wide open and infested with large spiders. We vaccines up 15 large legged spiders! I had to ask for a vacuum to vacuum them. We did not sleep the man at the hotel told us he was scared of spiders. Security lacking as all of our laptops and tech were in the room and the window left open. The vacuum stank of cheese. I had 3 nights refunded them on my 4th night found headlice on my bedding and in the bathroom! Vile discussing hotel. Carpets were vile. Not spot cleaned black Marks from spilled drinks and a clear difference on colour! Marks left on the loo it was as bad as it gets. We ended up leaving and staying on my sister's sofa. I would not recommend this hotel. The staff were good at promising things would be done but they weren't.

Rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast was good.

Very warm in the room at times. No fridge in the room to keep drinks cool especially when it’s very warm. No air conditioning especially in the bedrooms. Not much choice on the evening meal menu. Only 3 choices for the main course and desert. Breakfast good but expensive especially if you wanted a cooked breakfast. Rarely someone at reception to make enquiries. Seem to be short staffed.

climb the slope to the Hotel is a bit hard to senior. If there is shuttle bus from Hotel to Train Station, it will be perfect. Since there will be no taxi at the taxi station.

Outdated, dingy wallpaper (torn in places)carpets and chipped paintwork in shared areas. Toilets near dining room are in a very poor state of repair. Decor in the bedroom/s was rather institutional looking. The bathroom/s were old-fashioned and very basic. The shower didn’t work. We were moved to a room in a sister hotel as a consequence. However, the second hotel had annoying piped music playing in the rooms below us. The traffic from the seafront was also noisy and so it was difficult to get to sleep until very late when the traffic had died down.

The property is beautiful. The place is so relaxing. The veiws are amazing. Charming period property. Holly, Georgia,Deb and Eddy are extremely friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. There is also a pool. Loved our stay

The meals were excellent flavourful . So after 4 nights of trying all the dishes on the menu I asked to personally thank the chef Uthpala from Srilanka. View in my bedroom was amazing . Night desk staff member was it Rob was very kind and friendly and helped plan my itinerary of places to visit .

If you are looking for cool and corporate professionalism, you should probably find another hotel. If, however, you dream of a cozy, exclusive and authentic hotel staffed by real people, who will go out of their way to give you a wonderful holiday, then you should definitely consider this hotel: The staff welcomes you with a smile and a tour of the premises, and through our five-day stay we only met kind, helpful and lovely people. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful, and if you want to choose one of the special offers on the menu, you should try the avocado on sourdough bread with a poached egg on top: absolutely addictive. The house itself is beautiful with lots of quaint and charming little nooks and crannies, and the view of the harbour and Mount's Bay is spectacular. Situated just 7 minutes' walk from the bus terminal, there is easy access to all the beautiful hiking opportunities and other sights on the peninsula. After a long day hiking the coastal path, the heated pool and a drink from the hotel bar is a perfect reward. We hope to come back another time.

Having paid £295 for a room I expected top quality. Instead the bath is chipped and rusty. Offered free Prosecco which was a good one but took 25 mins to arrive. Waiter was hopeless but it was his first night but clearly untrained. Not helped by a kitchen that couldn’t cope with a half empty restaurant and staff apologies for a manic evening. Food took more than an hour to arrive. Sat down at 7.30 left 940 having retrieved own menu after being ignored and forgotten by waiter. Food mixed in quality .Salad drowning in dressing so just tasted of vinegar. But fish when it arrived was really fresh and beautifully cooked. The Cornish cheese didn’t have any Yarg. The rest was cheddar:something blue and a Red Leicester. It with extra £3.95 supplement

The staff were exceptionally nice and understanding.

The evening meal could have been better. We left early because our room was on the second floor and my husband has heart problems and was finding the heat difficult to cope with. But that was OUR fault for not communicating better with the hotal beforehand and explaining our needs.

1　食事はすべて美味しかったです😊 ディナーで食べた、夏の暑さを和らげるサラダの食材とドレッシング、白身魚のソテーのパリパリ感と豊かな味わいのソース、野菜の付け合わせ。 朝食も、一つ一つが吟味されたものから好きなだけ選べて満足しました。 レストランのスタッフもとてもフレンドリーでした！ ２　バスルームは十分すぎるぐらい広かったです。夜、洗濯した靴下などを干したのですが、換気能力はあまりなかったようで、朝まで乾きませんでした（ドライヤーで自分で乾かしたので大丈夫でした！）

We were placed on the 2nd floor of the property with 2 steep flights of stairs . The girl on reception who had suffered a fractured rest offered to help with luggage, so she carried our iPad so two 70 year olds had to haul 2 heavy suitcase,s up to room

1. Our superior room with a sea view was very good, but very hot, even with the fan provided. There was no air-conditioning. 2. The outdoor pool was good. 3. The front desk was often unattended, and we saw several couples trying to find someone to check in with on different occasions. 4. There appeared to be two chefs and restaurant teams, the breakfast ones ( very good and efficient) and the dinner team, which was inadequately staffed. One evening, the poor waitress was on her own and actually ran between the dining room and kitchen, trying to satisfy the food and drink needs of about 6 tables. 5. We think a four star hotel should have an à la carte menu option as well as table d'hôte for dinner. The menu described itself as the spring and summer one, and the choices were too limited. The breakfast menu was a mixture of buffet and cooked-to-order options, which was satisfactory but not hugely varied, eg only two types of bread - ordinary sliced loaves or gluten-free bread 6. There seemed to be no other dining options, no bar snacks, room service, or any options for lunch that we could find. 7. We had booked and paid for one of the 10 parking spaces available in the very constrained area at the side of the hotel, small spaces on a steep slope which required a degree of ingenuity and a great deal of care to access and egress. 8. The gardens were very attractive. 9. It has lovely interesting views over the bay and harbour from the front rooms, dining room, swimming pool, terrace, and gardens.

Great hotel with a stunning view! I absolutely loved everything: the room was clean and cozy, the restaurant served delicious food, and the service was top-notch. I would definitely stay here again.

Been here a few times and Always had a super time ! The dinner was excellent, rooms excellent too. The staff are genuinely very nice and helpful. The outdoor pool and gardens, just enhance the experience.

Katastrophe, so bewerte ich das Hotel. Zimmer alt und abgenutzt, Tapeten hängen runter, nicht reparierte Wasserschäden. Und das Bad war das allerschlimmste. Schimmel und Schimmelgeruch. Total abgenutzt, dreckig einfach nur ekelig. Am Frühstücksbüffet sind die Tassen noch dreckig. Kaffeemaschine dreckig, klebriges Besteck, Das ist kein 4 Sterne Hotel. Das ist eine Absteige. Und dafür über 500€ für 2 Nächte zu verlangen. Einfach unverschämt.

The fact that the room came with a bath.

Das Hotel ist für Paare gut geeignet. Die Lage nahe am Bahnhof und Busstation ideal, die Aussicht wenn man Meerblick buchen kann perfekt.

Als Single habe ich den Blick auf einen ungepflegten Hinterhof bekommen. Zum Glück regnete es nicht, so dass ich nur zum Schlafen nutzte. Der Preis dafür war zu hoch, wenn es ansonsten auch ein gutes Hotel war.

I stayed a week in 2 different rooms (due to maintenance issues). Lovely staff but it is a tired building and neither bedroom looked remotely like the photos on this or any other site. Bed ok but tired tatty mis-matched furniture which looked as if it had come from a house clearance place. Tatty carpet and swirly anaglyta style wallpaper in the common parts and lots of cheap plastic plants. Ok cooked breakfast but terrible cheap sliced bread (I ended up bringing my own bread), croissant dry out under the heat lamp and no Earl Grey tea (again I brought my own).

Comfortable boutique hotel. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Parking available but tight.

The hotel was further from the town center than I expected but an okay walk. There was no air conditioning and of course we visited during a heat wave. A fan was provided so that helped.

Tolle Lage mit Blick auf die Bucht und den Hafen. Etwas abseits der Hauptstraße, dadurch angenehm ruhig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und reagierte positiv auf kleine kritische Anmerkungen.

Etwas schleppendes Nachfüllen der Vorräte am Frühstücksbüffet. Aber von Tag zu Tag aufmerksamer …

I booked for a twin room, but somehow I was gotten a double room.

Vi hade ett stort rum med havsutsikt. Personalen var mycket trevliga, familjär stämning. Bra frukost. Nära tågstationen, men lugnt läge.

Allt var jättebra, men notera att hotellet ligger på en brant backe.

The location is great, it’s a short 5-10 minute walk from the main train station and just 10-15 minutes walk to the Town Centre and seafront. On arrival I was given a tour of the hotel, something I don’t often see and it made the check in experience feel very welcoming and personal. The hotel is clean and generally feels quite modern in the reception and dining areas. I had a superior sea view room and the view out onto the harbour was fantastic. I stayed during the June 2026 heatwave and despite there being no air con, the room got a nice breeze during the night so I was quite comfortable with the windows open. The shower is a worthy mention as it has some of the best water pressure I’ve ever experienced in a hotel, there were some reviews that mentioned the water either being scolding or freezing with no in between, the trick is to turn on the hot tap only, wait 1-2 minutes for it to come up to temperature and then gradually turn the cold tap to suit. Staff were very welcoming and in particular the breakfast room staff who were very friendly and accommodating when some menu items were unavailable due to a missing morning delivery (no fault of the hotel). The young lady from Germany on reception (unfortunately I forgot to ask her name) was incredibly friendly and helpful, I even had a great conversation with her one evening and she seemed to take genuine interest in hearing about my day. I will certainly book here again should I revisit the area.

Habitación estupenda. Me "upgradearon" a una habitación superior ideal con vistas a St.Michaels Mount. Las amenities de la habitación excelentes. Surtido de tés, cafés solubles, hervidor, galletitas, etc.

No he tenido ningún problema, todo perfecto para mí, pero sí indicar que aún cuando está muy cerca de la estación, el hotel está ubicado en una zona elevada con fuerte pendiente de unos 50m. A tener en cuenta para personas con movilidad reducida o con mucho equipaje. Aunque hay taxis en la estación, por tanto se puede solucionar fácilmente. La recepcionista, creo que su nombre era "Joy" encantadora y amabilísima.

Lack of parking space and difficult to park. Lack of mini fridge in a non air conditioned room makes it difficult to to keep cool overnight and it was only mildly warm ambient temperatures during our stay.

Needs some basic maintenance, toilet flush needs fixing. Wall Pictures need aligning. Breakfast is a cheap but high impact event. Suggest abundance especially in cheap stuff, tea in tea pots, toast already cooked.

Beautiful hotel. Our bedroom had a view of the harbour that was quite nice. The bathroom had an excellent shower. The included breakfast was served in a lovely dining room. There were many delicious items featured on the buffet (pastries, fruit, etc.) and then we could also order off of the menu. The food was exceptionally well-prepared; indeed, the scrambled eggs were some of the creamiest and tastiest we’ve ever had!

The location is good in that it’s near the train station, but there is a steep hill to walk up to get to the hotel. We didn’t have a car, so rolled our carry-on bags from the train station, but going up that hill was quite a hike! Overall, the hotel is worth it, though. Just make sure you have the stamina to climb the hill (or get a taxi!).

Das ganze Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und hat mit einem 4-Sterne-Hotel nicht mehr viel zu tun. An den Wänden blättert zum Teil die Farbe ab. Das Zimmer roch während des ganzen Aufenthaltes (2 Nächte) nach Ergrautem und nach Chlor. Sehr unangenehm. Lüften half leider nichts.

Large room Room was cleaned every day. Nicely situated to train and town was an easy walk. Good breakfasts. We had dinner at the hotel which was also good. Staff were very helpful. Overall a pleasant stay.

Bed was too firm for my liking as were the pillows. Lighting in bathroom was very poor.

The room was very comfortable and the service was very friendly.

When we arrived there was no one on reception to check us in and we had to hunt the receptionist down. There is no lift and the stair carpet has seen better days. The room was of a generous size and had a harbour view. There were no dedicated connections to charge devices. The bed was large with two mattresses joined together. The RH mattress had a ridge in the middle of it which made it uncomfortable. The bathroom was a generous size , but the bath suffered from chipped enamel around the bath plug. The room had aircon, although we didn't try it out. The room was .it very sound proof so we could hear our neighbours talking through the wall. The dining room was pleasant. The cooked breakfast was okay, but expensive for what it was. The continental breakfast was better value. The staff on the whole were pleasant and helpful. The hotel had a garden and swimming pool. Overall I would rate the hotel as a three star rather than a four star. Penzance is a good transport hub, but not a place most people would want to stay. It is very run down.

harbour I liked the view from the communal rooms

My room did not have the harbour view. Would have liked a map and Instructions for walking from the station giving the option of the less steep, but longer, walk up.

Last minute stopover due to flight cancellation to Isles of Scilly. Lovely hotel with great views of St Michael’s Mount. Staff very friendly and helpful and I was able to charge my EV.

Good room, quiet location

We hadden eigenlijk een ander hotel geboekt, maar dat had Booking helaas niet goed, die was vol. Deze zag er leuk uit.

Men deed erg moeilijk over het parkeren van de auto, en werkelijk de dame op de receptie vond ook nog dat ik haar daar niet op aan mocht spreken, verder hadden we een kamer met zee zicht geboekt maar dat bleek een zolderkamer met een raam op 1,70 m, gelukkig kon dat om geboekt worden. Matig hotel voor veel te veel geld

Warm and friendly welcome as soon as I arrived. Room was comfortable. Location was easy walk into town. I didn't use the pool or the bar but they both looked decent. I would stay again.

The room was great, some of the best views we've ever had out of a room. They had lovely amenities, including crisps, biscuits, tea and coffee. The location was great, really close to the Penzance train & bus stations, and the service was great. The server at the bar (sorry we forget getting his name) served us what probably was some of the best espresso martini we had ever had. They had a lounge and a heated swimming pool as well, although we didn't get a chance to use it because of the weather.

Hotel needs major updating. We had a room under the eaves. Hard to maneuver without hitting one’s head. Staff was inexperienced.

Very clean. very comfortable, very quite and the staff were exceptional. Just far enough from the town centre noise but very easy walking distance ... great views of the harbour & town.

For a motorbike the carpark was a little difficult but manageable ... steep hill and quite narrow so a little bit of reversing downhill required .... for a car this would be no issue at all.

Ok ish. Breakfast a bit average and they add a sneaky gratuity to your bill for it.

I liked everything! Location, my room, the shower was hot and the water pressure was good! I got a single bed with a private bathroom. The room was very clean and cozy. I felt safe while I was there.

Restaurant was closed that evening due to plumbing issues. Disappointed. However, did provide room service from restaurant menu. Really good food. Yum. Room had good view of changing outlook.

Breakfast had good variety and tasty. Room large, staff friendly.

The bathroom was dated and the towel rail rusty and the radiator under towel rail full of dust. Bath panel had what looked to be a cloth/ tissue down the side of it. On check out we were in a rush and would of flagged to staff but reception staff were not at desk. The room card did not lock the room but to be fair to hotel I did not flag, but I had not checked the handle before leaving only realising when we came back it was open.

I did not have meals but did have a desert to take to my room. Noticed the dining room and pool area was very down at heal, scruffy and old fashioned in presentation.

Kein Aufzug und sehr steile ausgetreten Treppe. Frühstücksraum eher ungemütlich und in die Jahre gekommen. Der Fußboden war an allen Tagen klebrig.

Old mattress with uncomfortable springs. Leaking shower screen over bath. Water stains on all bedroom furniture as if room had been flooded. Stair carpets dirty. Room had a partial sea view but looked onto a taped and dated conservatory roof which needed replacing. Leaking gutters which were noisy with rain. Good adequate food but very limited menu. Extra charges for parking and built in gratuities. Other guest drinks on our bill. Friendly but untrained staff and this hotel definitely needs an overhaul.
