The bed was comfortable, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was fairly good although relatively small

Check-in process was very slow and required to log my credit card details on some dodgy website. Check-out is extremely early (10am) and can only be extended for 2h which comes with an additional cost to the very high price I already paid for the room. The facility is worn down and smelly. Bathroom is old and feels and feels dirty. It is right next to the train track so the whole building shakes when the trains pass by.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, good shower. Room basic but fine and clean. Air conditioning, tea tray and tissues. Very convenient from London City Airport, with good DLR and bus connections. Staff didn't mind me sitting in the small yet comfortable lounge area after check out while waiting to go to the airport. Saw many people leaving bags before their check in time. I didn't have breakfast but got a decent paid coffee. Reasonable price.

My room was close to rail line. It didn't bother me but if might be worth asking for a room on the other side of hotel.

Location of the hotel is within around 5-10 minutes walking distance from London City Airport. Friendly, helpful staff. Pleasant, comfortable and clean room. Inexpensive café downstairs near the reception with small but inclusive menu. The burger was very tasty and the chef kindly made me a wonderful side salad at my request. Room key can be left in a box at reception if departing early in the morning.

This is not really something the hotel can do anything about, but the hotel building shuddered frequently...not sure if it was the nearby DLR trains going past or planes landing?

Our bathroom was not clean. We had hair stuck on the wall and it smelt of damp/ mould. Breakfast could start early being a hotel next to an airport.

The location for us was perfect. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was lovely and a lovely lady serving us. The room was clean and comfy bed. Thank you. We will be back.

Picked this for free parking. But you have to book that separately! So my car was out on the road overnight, permit parking in this location is 8:00 until 6:30.

It’s a nice place, staff very friendly, easy access to the train station (DLR) and bus stops literally just outside the hotel for easy access to public transport.

Great location, extremely helpful, kind, and guest oriented staff. The garden terrace is wonderful place to relax if the weather permits:) very clean rooms, spacious. Breakfast was delicious and hearty. Honestly, I didn’t expect such a great service for this money. Thank you guys, I’ll be back in a couple of months!

It was convenient for the airport.

The eating area for breakfast had very uncomfortable seating. The choice of food for evening meal was very poor and basic.

The whole room, including the bed, shakes when cars/trains pass, which is every few minutes. Even with headphones this makes it very hard to sleep. Very loud with the window open. Shower would not run hot and didn’t drain properly so the small bathroom floods. Silverfish everywhere. Would not recommend staying here.

Smelly in areas. Damp in room as no ventilation in toilet/shower. So felt musty. No chairs except for tiny stools in room and in restaurant! Couldn't sit for long!!

The room was basic but clean and did the job, especially considering how cheap the booking was. The location was also convenient, and one of the reception staff members was particularly lovely and friendly, which made a good impression.

The main issue was the handling of the booking. I had contacted the hotel beforehand because the booking showed one guest despite me selecting a double room for two people. I was told over the phone that it would be absolutely fine for two people to stay as long as we had ID. However, when we arrived, the manager said there were no notes of this conversation and charged us an additional £60 for the second guest. I found the way this was handled quite rude and dismissive, especially as I had specifically called in advance to avoid any issues.

Booked for my son after a late-ish arrival at London City Airport. Very conveniently located, quiet and comfortable. He said the breakfast was good. Easy link via DLR to the Northern line and onward travel.

Location is at 5 minutes walk from the airport, which is great when it's dry and you don't have big suitcases to take with you. Otherwise, despite the short distance, I would probably get a taxi or uber. Food in the restaurant was good, but be mindful, in case you arrive late, that the restaurant closes st 21:30

Hotel shook every time a train went by and not just a little ! The area is run down.

Staff on reception at 1am were polite, helpful and accommodating. Lobby and communal areas were nicely presented for a budget hotel and check out process was easy. While the hotel is located close to City Airport and Excel, the area it is located in is still very 'edgy' and has some large commercial units still very close such as the massive Tate & Lyle production facility across the road, a large bus depot a metal recycling depot and others.

Request for room deposit was unexpected & at that time, impossible to resolve by adding a 'nil charge' payment conventionally on bank card so ended up just letting them take a card payment for more than the value of the room for one night to resolve the issue. Refunding the payment also had issues, in part that is because the card used was not registered at the same address as address used when booking although staff were provided with address the card was registered to as well as banking detail information etc., on the night at check in but clearly this information wasn't retained for the staff providing the refund the next day, though that nay well be on the grounds of GDPR/security so happy to resolve that with them over the phone the next day, though it did mean providing them with the bank card information again, which is arguably no more secure than had they retained it from the night before. What a shame the room didn't love up to the impression created by the hotel lobby/bar area. While the room was clean, beds were overly soft, the desk so small that with tea & coffee things on it there was no space left to work at. The space the desk sat within could easily have accommodated a wider desk or fixed shelf to serve the same purpose without having to move everything onto the floor to work. Turning carpet up he walls to form skirting is a really poor detail and badly executed but even worse, this same detail was carried through to the bathroom with a vinyl floor to create a wet room but the bathroom finishes were poorly thought out and executed with the finishes peeling away from walls & floors leading to staining & over time, areas where bacteria & mould will grow & be impossible to clean. Bathroom area also had inadequate shelving. space to place washbag and a small vanity unit would be a much better idea than a tint glass shelf and a wall hung sink only.

The rooms have AC

The AC is nit strong and has a chemical smell. The shower drain was very slow and as there was a walk in shower the bathroom was almost flooding This was my second stay here and staff seemed to make up different policies each time.

For breakfast i asked for a table, I was charged £15... I asked what i could have, and she gave me a menu. There was full English breakfast and eggs benedict (those are the only hot options) or pastries or muffins (that's the buffet). I said can i have the English breakfast please, she said we have no sausages... ok, can i have the eggs benedict then, we have no eggs either. I said what, I've just paid you £15 for breakfast and you haven't either in stock! She said we have veggie sausages, and i can speak to the chef if we have anything else. When she came back she said ok, we can do Eggs benedict, but he doesn't like doing them as it takes too long. I was then given the smallest eggs Benedict I've ever had, the bacon on each was one slice of bacon torn into two... she actually said as she gave name them "Im really sorry". It was like a very poor sketch show comedy! The worst bit wasn't the crap food or that they didn't check if there had any... its that she knew she had none before charging me £15. When we first checked in I asked to park my small van, i was shown where it was and parked up. 2 mins later I had a call telling me "Excuse me, you forgot to pay!"... at no point was i told i needed to pay at that exact moment, I assumed it was added to the bill for checkout like every other hotel on the planet. The shower had so little power that it takes a while to even get wet, it took about 3 mins to warm up to luke warm, there are no shelves or anything in the shower to put your soap etc, so i had to put my soap etc on the floor, the sink was blocked, so took about 20 mins to empty after brushing your teeth.

Das kleine Hotel ist nur vier Minuten zu Fuß vom Flughafen LCY entfernt. Direkt vor der Tür ist eine Bushaltestelle der Linien 473 und 474. Die Zimmer sind klimatisiert und sehr sauber - sogar die Fernbedienung für den Fernseher ist in einem hygenischen Etui. Im Eingangsbereich ist auch das Restaurant mit Bar. Dieser Bereich ist nicht klimatisiert, aber ich war an Tagen mit Rekordtemperaturen da - ein Ausnahmezustand. Dahinter ist ein winziger Garten, in dem man sitzen und klönen kann. Die Bahnstrecke Elizabeth Line läuft zwar direkt vor den Fenstern, aber die Züge erzeugen keinen wahrnehmbaren Lärm. Man sollte im klaren sein, dass das Hotel zwischen Flughafen und Zuckerfabrik liegt und sich daher nicht über die Aussicht beschweren. Dafür kann ich es wegen der besonderen verkehrsgünstigen Lage, der Sauberkeit und des freundlichen Personals absolut empfehlen.

An heißen Tagen wäre es schön, wenn der Aufenthaltsraum gekühlt wäre; aber es ist London - wie oft gibt es solche heiße Tage?

I did not end up staying at this property due to highly unusual and unreasonable deposit policies at check-in. Upon arrival, the reception desk asked me to physically leave my credit card with them as a deposit, which is a major security risk. When I refused, they offered a £100 cash deposit instead, which I accepted. They then stated they would not return my cash at check-out, but would instead transfer it to my bank account later. When I asked why I could not get my cash back for a simple one-night stay, they just claimed it was "hotel policy Because of this policy, they actively asked me to provide my sensitive bank details just to get my own cash deposit back, which felt completely unsafe. And of course they didn’t refund my night.

The hotel room was very clean with a powerful AC and impeccable bathroom. The staff were friendly and the location is ideal.

The TV was not working properly, I was able to watch some but then it just turned itself off and the remote froze. I didn’t raise this with the staff as I was going to bed anyways.

I’ve stayed here before, the hotel is perfect for a night to two and is super close to the airport and has the DLR train which can take you into London. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was super comfortable with a kettle, drinks, a nice hot shower. The reception staff are professional and friendly as are the restaurant staff. Breakfast is really good and I’ll definitely be back again soon.

It was nice and quiet and the staff was very friendly and it was easy to get to City Airport from there.

The Bed was really lumpy like sleeping on a bag of potatoes. There was no hot Water so I couldn't have shower in the Morning.

I arrived on a late flight at London City Airport. Booked this hotel as it was close. I took a cab to get there but it's literally a three minute walk. Small but comfortable room and lovely staff. There is an outside garden area.
