Hampton By Hilton London Excel

Het was comfortabel voor een korte reis naar Londen, vlakbij het vliegveld.

Er is niks in de buurt, je moet echt een taxi nemen om überhaupt iets te kunnen eten, want het hotel heeft niet eens een normaal restaurant.

Vriendelijk personeel met snelle service en het ontbijt was uitstekend.

Helaas in de 1e kamer waarbij we aankwamen, zagen we bloedspetters op ons bed. Gelukkig werd dit snel opgelost met een nieuwe kamer. Personeel heeft ook excuses aangeboden.

Air conditioning appeared not to be working and despite me telling reception they were adamant it was. There wasn't any power to the control panel. It wouldn't even light up.

Nah am London City Airport (zu Fuss ca. 20 Minuten), mein Zimmer war geräumig. Frühstück war gut.

Relativ unfreundlicher Empfang. Die Türen zwischen Fahrstuhlbereich und Zimmerfluren lassen sich sehr schwer und nur durch Knopfdruck öffnen und fallen sehr laut zu. Es fühlte sich ein bisschen wie ein Gefängnis an. Die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen und etwas trostlos. Benachbarte Hotels sehen einladender aus.

Perfect location just a 5 min walk from the excel centre where we had an event. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and polite, breakfast options were good.

After check-in and we had gone up to our rooms, the front desk sent us an SMS asking if everything was alright. This was a very nice touch which I don't think I have ever experienced before. Well done!

The rooms are very quiet, great a/c & the breakfast is fantastic. The staff are polite & incredibly helpful. Also the bedding is a dream the pillows are amazing.

Everything was good....The staff were all good. Except that when we checked out to go for our flight, our flight was cancelled and we called Hampton by Hilton in Gatwick, If they could help us with a room as we were stranded. I have a wee-boy of two years and I am pregnant, but the manner the receptionist shut me up. The manner he spoke to me and hung up gave me chills. And I could not connect to Hampton by hilton dockside,,,,, I felt so bad and irritated.

Location very close to excel center and to Elisabeth line. Housekeeping efficient and riguros.

During night the air conditioning changed to a preset program and the air got warm and dry, hard to breathe. Twin beds are not possible. Breakfast coffee terrible

Hotel jest blisko stacji kolejki DLR, do centrum można dojechać w około 30/40 minut z jedną lub dwiema przesiadkami w zależności gdzie się chcemy dostać. Można się też przyjemnie przespacerować z hotelu do stacji London Cable Car i zaliczyć tą atrakcję. Codzienne staranne sprzątanie i wymiana ręczników. W pokoju jest sejf i żelazko. Łóżko bardzo wygodne. Stołówka jest dość duża i czyściutka. W gniazdach przy łóżkach jest USB więc poradzić sobie można bez przejściówki i naładować telefon lub tablet.

Na śniadaniu z pieczywa jest tylko chleb tostowy (2 rodzaje), ale w UK to ponoć normalne, poza tym jajecznica z proszku. Pozostałe elementy śniadania w porządku. Kawa smaczna, gofry także. Przemiła i pomocna obsługa stołówki, w tym dwie Panie Polki. Firanki zdecydowanie nadawały się już do prania, o wymianie wykładziny hotel też już powinien pomyśleć w najbliższej przyszłości, ale ogólne wrażenie mam pozytywne.

Almost the whole staff team here are lovely. Almost feels like an independent hotel with how friendly and helpful they are. Love that it’s opposite London City Aiport so you can stand at the barrier and watch the planes take off. Good transport links with the DLR easily connecting to Elizabeth line. Nice breakfast, again the breakfast staff were super friendly.

They don’t have decaf tea option (small gripe). At 12.30am an alarm started to go off in our room; it was the air con humidity detector (larger gripe). It was loud and quite scary when you are roused from a deep sleep. A member of the team came to sort it immediately, but unfortunately sorting it meant turning the a/c off. So that night and the next morning until checkout was quite warm. It took a very long time to go back to sleep from such a sudden and urgent wake, particularly for our child. We reported it to reception on check out and wondered if they might offer something complimentary for the inconvenience and lack of sleep, but the staff member was very unbothered 🤷🏻‍♀️ Shame as they were the first team member we met who wasn’t super helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable. It is outside the city center but there's plenty of transport links available for travelling into the city. The breakfast was enjoyable and we managed to get a table for our party of 4 without any issues. On arrival they asked if we wanted rooms by each other and accommodated our requests.

The lady on the front desk may have been having a bad day but she was quite rude upon checking in. Not enough to spoil our stay and the rest of the staff were lovely.

The fact that when we get to go for breakfast was told no pyjamas, which I would say, this was something should have been said while checking in. Also my pjs were more like long pants and long sleeve button down shirt. My daughter's was more like loungewear, was told to change. Wasn't too happy. So I just never did breakfast for the whole stay.

Easy to reach from LCY, also to go to ExCel. Never had an issue traveling to and from downtown London. The place feels safe, is clean, the stuff is kind, and the power sockets near the bed are perfect.

There were some restaurants around, but I never felt like going there to have my meals. I would have loved a convenient store nearby. But it was okay nonetheless!

The staff were all so polite and efficient. The location was perfect, and the room was clean and comfortable with a daily service. The breakfast had lots of choice and was delicious. Receptionists were professional, efficient, and answered any questions we had perfectly. Parking was a huge plus of this hotel, and charges were fairly priced. The hotel also had a fitness centre, which we sadly did not get time to use on this occasion. I would highly recommend the hotel and will certainly stay again when we come to London to visit family.

We stayed with the family and it was great. Breakfast had very good options and the reception always served water which was nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The view from the room was nice too.

Hotel is conveniently located near a DLR station. Surrounding area is quiet and calm. Reception staff and other staff were friendly. Breakfast was awesome with a variety of choices, and my daughter loved it. Staff in the Breakfast area were very friendly and helpful.

En arrivant la chambre n'était pas prête à 16h alors que l'entrée était prévue à 15h. Aucune solution n'a été trouvé pour accélérer notre entrée dans la chambre. Vers 17h nous avons enfin pu avoir une chambre. On nous avait promis 2 chambres côte à côte mais celà n'a pas non plus été respecté, mais au moins au même étage Après 4 réclamations, le personnel nous a proposé une boisson au choix en compensation.

The aircon was broken when we got there, took them a couple of calls and time to come up to fix it so we had to get ready to go out in a very warm room. Had a room for 3 people which had a double bed and a pull out double sofa bed, the room wasn’t really big enough for 3 people or two double beds so it was a bit tight to walk around and not bump into each other while getting ready. This Hilton also doesn’t offer room service which we weren’t made aware of when we booked.

J’ai beaucoup apprécier mon séjour dans cette hôtel : la propreté de la chambre rien à dire, le personnel sont à l’écoute et disponible pour répondre à notre question et l’emplacement est correct car il est pas très loin du métro pour arriver en centre ville.

El precio es muy atractivo para una ciudad como Londres, lo que hacía dudar de que fuera tan bueno... Pero, efectivamente, el hotel está muy bien, la zona es segura, con metro próximo (estación DLR Royal Albert) y el aeropuerto London City a 20 minutos andando (lo utilizamos a la vuelta y se agradece tenerlo a mano para aprovechar un poco más en Londres). El tema del ruido me preocupaba. Soy bastante sensible a él y la verdad que apenas lo noté. Las habitaciones están muy bien aisladas. Señalar que no vuelan aviones por la noche y no se operan muchos vuelos. El desayuno está bastante bien, con diferentes opciones. La habitación y el baño son amplios, cómodos y limpios. Personal con buena atención, especialmente en desayuno.

El hotel tiene buena conexión vía DLR, autobús o incluso andando hasta el embarcadero de Royal Wharf. Es verdad que para una ciudad tan grande como Londres el centro queda algo lejos, pero por ese precio creo que merece la pena alojarse en él a estar en un hotel peor, más caro pero más céntrico. Nosotros nos íbamos después de desayunar y volvíamos ya cenados (en el hotel se puede comer, pero no lo probamos y por la zona no hay nada). Otro colgador para toalla en baño interesa, el cristal de la puerta corredera no se limpiaba y las toallas se cambiaban continuamente (creo que no es necesario y medioambientalmente no adecuado). Una neverita en la habitación estaría genial. Hay un ascensor con dos teclados de pisos. El de la izquierda es sólo para el personal pero no se indica. De tal manera que al pulsar no funciona porque sólo aplica para los huéspedes el de la derecha. El espacio de desayuno no es amplio, algo más de fruta estaría bien (había manzana, naranja y platano).

Prima Lage, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sehr nah, man ist schnell in der Innenstadt: Bus oder DLR. Sehr leise, trotz Nähe zu Autobahn und Flughafen. Sehr nettes Personal. Beim Frühstück wird immer alles sehr schnell und ordentlich abgeräumt. Die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt. Alles war sehr sauber.

Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Es ist nicht sehr abwechslungsreich aber man kann etwas für sich finden.

Het ontbijt en de service die het hotel en het personeel bieden was heel goed. Verder was het heel handig dat de bar 24/7 open was en er iedere avond mogelijkheid was om te dineren. Prijs-kwaliteit was alles ook prima in orde!

Op de kamer liep het putje van de lavabo in de badkamer niet goed door waardoor het water bleef staan. Verder was er ook geen toiletborstel aanwezig. Dit zijn de enige kleine werkpuntjes die ik kan geven.

Schönes Zimmer mit modernem Bad, sehr gutes Frühstück, tolles Fitness-Studio, Lage neutral: zwei Stationen mit der kleinen DLR und dann in die moderne Elizabeth Linie umsteigen. So kommt man im Zentrum überall hin, aber die Fahrzeiten summieren sich. Cable Car oder Bus zum O2-Stadion/Mall gibt es auch.

Fehlalarm unseres Rauchmelders im Zimmer, Klimaanlage ausgefallen (wurde aber sofort repariert).

Everything was so dirty. Sinks were clogging all the time . They changed my room but still it was not good. No one helped in changing the room . A guy came to my room with a very tired and angry face , gave me the key and left. It was really bad and I will never be coming back

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall, the hotel was well presented.

The location was further from central London than we expected. The TV only had basic Freeview channels with poor picture quality and no streaming services, some of the room phone buttons didn't work, there were no bin liners in the bins, there was no room service, and it would have been nice to be able to open a window for some fresh air. Overall, the room felt below what we expected for the price.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean.

The only thing that bothers me and my family was that the sink in the bathrooms were not flawing properly, so when we used it the water stays out not going through the drain.

Very clean. The blonde lady cleaner I met is soo hardworking and soo observant about the needs of the guests . She deserves all the accolades and probably a pay rise!

The staff at the breakfast especially that lady I believe is in charge was soo rude for no reason. You can’t relate to us like kids. We paid for the breakfast ma’am ! I was literally pissed every single morning. But I love the hotel , NGL, aside the reception at the breakfast. I’d score the hotel a cool 8/10
