Air conditioner a bit noisy when needed

Nice size room, convenient location.

Restaurant/Bartender was really slow, and didn’t pay attention to the customers at the bar, everyone had empty glasses for a while. 1 customer left because he waited too long without anyone helping him.

Location -good What i don't like is one chair in the room. It was like that the first time we stayed. I had to ask for it. It was clean and quite.

Need chairs we had to stand or sit on the bed.

Beautiful, spacious rooms, well stocked, very clean, pool was incredible. Staff was helpful and kind. Great place will definitely stay there again. Price point was excellent.

No bed bug mattress protector on bed, bathroom was tight, and though the room was paid for online, struggled with deposit as I would not use a credit card for the deposit. And not seen as a requirement when room was booked and paid for.

Poor soundproofing of rooms. Able to hear comings and goings of other guests at all hours, and hear commercial traffic.

The theme is fun and they have some nice interior design.

They didn’t have luggage carts available even after asking the front desk. and our room was 45 rooms down a very long hallway.

The room was very spacious and we barely heard any noise from the airport next door, our room was on the garden side.

The bathroom was very small, the walls were thin so we could hear the neighboring rooms tv very clearly which made it difficult to sleep. Our first night we requested a bath tub stopper so our children could take a bath and we were told it would be delivered to our room, it never was our entire 4 night stay.

The location is good. Just off of the highway and near infrastructure.

Staff was incompetent and lazy. Front desk took forever to locate a trolly cart and we finally gave up after seeing the employee told to find one minutes later re stocking vending machines. Then they charged us a second time for the room. It took five days before they answered my wife's call of complaint and explanation that we prepaid through hotels. They then claimed they could not reverse all because they had not received the full payment. It took several days more before this was resolved. We have stayed there over forty years ago and it used to be fine. It appears that new foreign (?) owners/ employees have reversed all of the previous good service. To boot our room was on the top 5th floor and had shouting and crying children next door until after 10pm! Not good.

Good clean room, 24 hour shuttle to airport that I took at 3am

Couldn't book the shuttle, Was told just to show up and that it might be full. I did get on the shuttle and then it left 8 minutes ahead of schedule.

Room was decent and clean. Right next to the airport and major hwy so convenient for travellers.

It was an ideal location for what I needed. The beds were quite comfortable and the room was very clean.

I spent 4 days in room 341 at Valhalla Inn Thunderbay. On the first day we saw3 crawling insects that looked like bedbugs coming from the crease of the wall. Three staff members came o the room and tried to reassure us that the insects were harmless . Later that evening I saw 2 more of the insects and called the front desk. The staff Vanessa described the insects as grass hopers that are harmless. Another delegate saw an insect on the 2nd floor and took it to the front desk where the staff were very casual about the insects. Incidentally my friends who were there for the conference saw 2 of the same insects in there room at 325; The following day I saw more insects crawling in the bathroom, and a maintenance man was sent to inspect the Air-conditioning unit and found nothing. We later saw the bug crawling on the TV table. The last straw was finding the bug in the reservoir of the coffee maker. This room needs to be fumigator and the corner between the table and the AC unit needs to be swept . Elizabeth

The price. The room had a funky smell and shower curtain smelt bad and needed cleaning. Floor was chewed up a bit in one spot and no area for sitting (no furniture) other then dresser and no freezer in fridge. Also, ice machine was on floor above and below me and not on my floor.

Large rooms. Comfortable beds and very clean. Ample parking. Has a sauna and pool but no hot tub.

The restaurant menu was Norse themed and as a person with health issues, was unable to eat any menu items. There was no hot tub.

Lovely setting. Lobby, room and restaurant were appropriate and inviting. Ample parking.

Lost our confirmed, paid in advance booking. Had to sort out. No food brought to the room, but food crumbs around the TV base including oatmeal stuck to the frame. Dusty also. Used Keurig coffee pod in the coffee maker. Not enough coffee supplies for morning. Beds were lumpy, hard and uncomfortable. No noise insulation and both road and airport racket was disturbing.

Party in room next to us, kept us up all night. They were very loud.

Our room was comfortable, clean, and up to date. The hotel restaurant, Skál, offers a pleasant environment, serves delicious food, and is staffed by friendly waiting personnel.

At both check-in and check-out, the front desk personnel seemed distracted – and during check-in, they seemed rather officious and not especially welcoming. I've stayed at the Valhalla several times over the years, but today it lacks the friendliness and refinement of former years.

Quiet and clean, friendly staff

Location was good in terms of closeness to highway/airport/shopping. Pool was amazing. Room size was fantastic. Shower had great water temp and pressure.

Neighborhood was sketchy feeling. Our first room had a leak in the ceiling. The restaurant was way over priced. The courtyard was so sad looking. Showers were small.

Because I order through Booking .com they always put me in a room that is in the farthest wing of the hotel. I am a senior lady and really don't appreciate that.

This is a nice looking hotel but nothing special. Check in was efficient. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Massive empty space in the corner of the room screamed out for seating - a chair or something to relax in. There was a coffee maker in the room but no 'courtesy' coffee or breakfast in the lobby. There is a restaurant on site. Would I stay here again? No. The room was over $300.00/night in total and the value for dollars just wasn't there.

The bed was comfortable and clean.

The fridge was not cold. We booked a double room for 3 guests but did not have enough coffee? Needed to call and ask for more. When we arrived, the parking lot was sheer ice. My parents are seniors and it was difficult carrying bags and walking on the ice for them. Also when we first arrived to the front desk, the staff took forever finding my reservation, saying my payment hadn't processed and the damage deposit did not register even after I showed them it had on my phone app. It was a good thing I found my receipt of my booking on my phone to help the process move along and not get charged twice. It took longer than necessary and makes me think I should try staying somewhere else next time.

Truth. - approached room and was a little put off with the really dirty floor right at my door, but whatever. - adjoining room door was open..ok..I shut it and locked it, then went for supper - came back and realized nothing in room was plugged in, air conditioner was falling apart and super loud - opened curtains to a view of flemmy spit all over inside of window, slowly started noticing other blemishes - Sat on bed for twenty minutes really grossed out and uncomfortable - they gave me another room that was fine but I never felt good about it...it was a gross experience

The Bartender Grace was the absolute best, most outstandingly sexiest woman🍻 1000/10 rating for her in there. She knows how to hold it down when it gets busy.

I found G.I. Joe’s in our room. Fridge was full of pepper rats and yoghurt floors weren’t mopped. They only made the bed if that.

The beds were comfortable and the pillows were really good.

Without a little rug at the entrance it was impossible to keep dirt from being carried throughout the room. Also, the restaurant was unable to split a bill for us so one person had to pay the whole thing. They never told us until we went up to pay. We asked for the check and our waitress said the system was down. We could clearly see that she and other servers were printing off bills for other tables.

How the city gouges with their municipal tax. Makes more sense not to charge that, more people would stay.

Facilities are unique and beautiful. Food in the restaurant is very good.
