Easy access off highway 17 as we drove through Thunder Bay Breakfast offerimg was good but not enough variety
Too pricey for what we received
Tout était super
Breakfast was very good set up and more than sufficient. Staff friendly and non intrusive. Tasty and well balanced.
Toilet was a bit low for seniors. Air conditioner was noisy.
Breakfast was good quality and quantity. Lots of free parking. Free coffee, etc in lobby. Very clean. Quiet at night.
This was an older property which is partially through refurbishing. For example bathroom floor tile has not been replaced but the wall tile (diff tile) has been changed. Also bathroom has no fan.
In general all standards are lower compared to all other units of the same network i’ve visited before. Specifically the parking lot is small. Avoid this hotel if you are towing a trailer of any size.
The staff at breakfast
Some repairs need to be done to room
No problems, breakfast was what I expected.
Nothing
The room and facilities were good.
The room price was too high at $297 for one night. The breakfast was limited to a pre-made meal (omelet) that I couldn't eat due food to allergies.
Convenient to airport
Very good breakfast choices! Room is small, but well organized. Big size bed, big fridge.
Might need some solution to make the air conditioner less noisy.
Location ok, Enjoyed blueberry muffin
Minimal fruit available Bathroom had probably had some maintenance issue and an access to plumbing? Had not been closed off,
Loved the mountain view and the free breakfast
Didn't like the bed, was very hard and felt the springs on my back. Everything else was good.
Breakfast was ok. Coffee machine in hallway was very good.
The spiders in our room. Staff at front could be a little more congenial
Thin walls so one could hear the adjoining guests
Good breakfast & comfortable sleep
Hotel cost a little pricey
Room was big enough for a single person tho I got a 2 bed in a room.
There’s no free water inside the room tho there’s a free coffee sachets.
Very convenient location, good breakfast
We had a King Suite and the furniture was so uncomfortable and the bed was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood.
Front desk staff were friendly as well as quick and efficient. Room was clean and bed was quite comfortable. Overall, a great experience.
Good
Room was clean
Clean, and comfortable
Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast. A liitle pricey. More like a 3 star. Charging 5 star prices.
Friendly staff at check-in, nice hot breakfast with plenty of scrambled eggs and bacon, Queen-size bed was perfect, just the right firmness, nice-sized fridge for my beer, nice shower,
Didn’t have to pay for a pool I wasn’t going to use.
The hotel location was good. The beds were good and the breakfast was acceptable. However, the hotel bathroom may require some upgrades and more thorough cleaning. Additionally, the carpet appears to need proper cleaning, as it has an unpleasant odor.
Bottled water only available at check-in and only to members and only if you ask for it!! Very cheap considering cost of the average room.
Clean
Great
It was near the Trans Canada Hwy
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Professional, kind and caring friendly staff: both check-in and check-out. I am looking forward to my upcoming return vjsit soon!
Clean room and super friendly staff.
Good location near restaurants and groceries. Breakfast is ample with eggs, sausage, yoghurt, breads, cereal, oatmeal. Elevator so easy access. Clean, comfortable
Great location. Comfortable beds and very clean. Room was a good size. Friendly staff. Breakfast included.
Nothing really
Hotel costs are becoming exorbitant for a place to rest for a few hours and a quick breakfast.
Full disclosure, we were refunded for this experience by the hotel manager who contacted us via email about our experience. Cost was ~300$ for a double Queen basic room with the following conditions: - soiled/ rotting paper towels, chewed up gum around the bed frames, dirty, warn and bunched up carpets. - malfunctioning point of sale system at the front desk and broken hair dryer in the room. - Insufficient amount of hygiene supplies for a double Queen room booked for 2 people. - Poor customer service from majority of the front desk staff. (On their phones, unable to attend to issues based on number of staff available or simply throwing their hands up and blaming Expedia with no effort or willingness to resolve the issue) We have a been on a cross-Canada road trip for a week. Every other place we have stayed has been cheaper, cleaner and much more accommodating with zero issues. For these reasons, I would not stay here again.
Good sized rooms, great upgrade to a suite, friendly staff, good breakfast
Horrible CS
Hotel was just fine- nothing fancy, clean, pleasant staff. Slightly dated but no issues. Warning- room 201 is very loud as it is directly above the lobby doors. You can hear every time the doors open or luggage is pulled across the bricks. As it is an airport hotel, this occurs all night/early morning.
Hotel was clean and close to a lot of food options.
Good place to stay
Overall, the stayed was very good. The room was neat and clean. However, the front desk service needs to be improved as they were not professional at all.
Excellent free breakfast. Bed not made two of the days and no clean towels provided-had to go hunting for them. Front desk staff mostly too busy chatting to greet guests. Some made a point of greeting us. Lobby minuscule and cluttered with furniture. Elevator efficient. Evening security guard too busy chatting with front desk to notice an elderly woman exiting the hotel and make sure I was okay in a dark parking lot. Yucky stuff spilled in front entryway not cleaned up for the duration of our stay.
We arrived late and left early but check in was smooth, room was great and breakfast was yummy!
Free breakfast and parking
It’s nice to have the Continental breakfast option
Bed was comfy No food options on site but were close by Unfortunately the couple staying in th unit next door to us couldn’t open their door so they tried their key on our room It worked and they proceeded to enter our room while we were relaxing in bed watching tv This was extremely disconcerting and upsetting The front desk was rather nonplussed about providing the entry card to our room to someone else and didn’t seem to want to take responsibility for their error
After a long day of travel the hot bath was very relaxing, room was very spacious, clean & bed very comfortable
Good place to stay overall, nothing crazy about it. But was a good stay only there for a night.
Decent motel for Thunder Bay. However, the toilet was quite small and there were some issues with the air conditioning. Good breakfast too
Breakfast on third floor was nice, away from busy main floor traffic and nice scenery
No bathroom in lobby area
Tv programing is terrible and needs updating.
The staff were nice and helpful.
We stayed in a different hotel that had the same room layout, etc, and it was 1/3 the price!
I love the place and the workers so much
The women at the front desk was fabulous!
Clean , good location and excellent breakfast
A bit pricey , but worth it!
It was fine. Funny how hotels in this price range always have a fan that goes 'click click click' through the night...
You really don’t get much for your money here. Very dated, not clean and shiny,, ancient pillows and towels and quite small. Thunder Bay hotel rooms are quite pricey too so it could be $300 a night at better places or here. So sad.
Clean. Friendly staff.
When you are travelling and wanting to get on the road, would be nice if they served breakfast at 5:30 vice 6:30.
The front desk person was very helpful
Staff was more interested in their conversation, then greeting us or checking us in. Didn’t provide any information in relation to the hotel. Usually staff relay the wifi password, when breakfast is etc….they said nothing.
The review title says it all. I was to leave Thunder Bay the morning of June 4 and was on my way west. Well in the category of crap happens, I had a flat about 45 mins after I left Thunder Bay. I needed a new tire and it had to be ordered. It was before 9 am and the hotel was next to the tire shop. I took a chance and checked if a room was available. I was lucky and they had not only a room that night but they had it ready by 9:30 am for me. This was life saving. I had been on the road on my way home to Edmonton and I was exhausted. The Desk Clerk was so helpful and most of all, understanding of my predicament. The room was ready and is very comfortable and I feel so much better being next door to the shop and I’ll get a good sleep tonight. THANK YOU!
We were happy with our accommodations.
Enjoyed our stay
Good overall. No onsite dining but there are other places not far to dine
Room in had this time was very clean
Need pens and paper in room..and have to change the soap to a classier type
It was excellent
