Check in was ridiculous. It took Over an hour because of all the people in line they tell everyone that you will receive a text when your room is ready if not to come back and check in at four. No one received a text. Because of that everyone was in line at four and it took over an hour to check in. The air conditioner filters in the room were disgusting.

We stayed for 3 nights and our room was never serviced. We actually requested a housekeep visit on the 3rd morning but it never happened.

The walls were dirty, and there was some mold around the bottles of the soap dispenser. The beds and pillows were also not very comfortable. Overall, the location was the best part, but the cleanliness and comfort of the room could be improved. The breakfast also needs some improvement. It would be nice to have more variety, perhaps changing the options every couple of days. Eating the same breakfast four days in a row can get a little boring. Adding more fresh fruit would also be a great improvement.

This is the perfect location! The beach is only steps away. There were plenty of breakfast choices and the staff is very friendly and tends to you needs very quickly.

On the beach

It’s not a resort style hotel at all. All the amenities close before 7pm. Can’t even get a drink by the pool after 645. They also don’t clean the pool daily. There was trash wrappers floating for multiple days as well as a million bugs that needed scooped out.

I liked the location. Very convenient to access the beach.

I did not like that there seemed to be very few rules in place at this property. Guests were allowed to walk throughout the hotel without shoes or shirts after coming in from the beach or pool. Although this is a beachfront property, I think having and enforcing some basic rules would make the hotel feel much cleaner and more put together. I also saw guests using the hotel towels provided for guests to dry off their dogs after coming in from the beach or pool. There never seemed to be staff around monitoring these areas or enforcing any rules. Another major issue was the Wi-Fi. It connected to our phones and laptops but would not connect to my child’s tablet. This was a big inconvenience, especially when traveling with a toddler. When I asked the front desk for help, they did not know how to resolve the issue and simply told me that their Wi-Fi is just like that with tablets. Overall, I think the property could greatly improve by having clearer rules, better staff oversight, and a more reliable Wi-Fi system for all devices.

One of the three elevators was broken which made getting to/from the hotel room, breakfast, and pool very frustrating- the wait was ridiculous.

I was upset about my room not being a balcony/sea view but management apologized. Supposed to credit half my money back. They also blessed me with a pool cabana and mimosas with a late checkout so I could enjoy it. So I was happy about that =)

How clean and friendly the staff. We showed up five hours before check in and was still able to receive access cards to all available accommodations.

Our stay was great except that on our last day several elevators stopped working so it was so difficult to use the stairs from the lobby to a 9th floor .

The staff was incompetent to a concerning degree. We were overcharged $600 through our stay, reception staff did not understand how to handle payments, refunds and just handle the situation they put us in. Bar staff was absent consistently. For there being 3 elevators, it took up to 5-10minutes to sometimes get one to your floor. (It appeared like an elevator or two may have been having issues throughout but not sure), pool and hot tub was very nice Beach chairs, umbrellas and other purchasable accessories were overpriced.

I think you should be upfront and let your customers know that you would have to pay for parking and it will be an additional $400 hold on your credit card. Some customers was not expecting that you don’t tell that in your ad. I think it’s unprofessional for a customer to get to your facility and find out they have to pay an additional fee for parking and the hold on your card.

The hotel was nice, but it’s the hidden fees that you guys don’t let anybody know about that turns people away from you guys

The elevators where not working, , we had to take the steps numerous times, the door lock is not properly secured, I was told I was getting 25% off my entire trip and I didn get shit.

The elevators are a nightmare. At times it seems lik3 you are trapped on a certain floor. Especially if you are on a higher floor. From the 13th floor several times we watched the elevator come to the 12th floor and then go back down. And the breakfast while decent in quality, is not set up for the number of people. It's a bit of a war to 1st find a table and then to work your way thru the buffet. Especially with trying to get a plate for a small child. We are at the beach, not many are up at 6 for breakfast to be done by 9am. So the majority of guests end up at breakfast at 8 for what feels like "Hunger Games"

The bathtub literally didn’t drain. The door drag on the floor So you have to push it to get into the room. They wait for elevator was 10 to 15 minutes You have to pay for parking. Breakfast was kind of nasty.

The actual property build and design is beautiful and accommodating.

Leftover food, not just stains, on comforter, stains on towels, ketchup and liquid splashes on appliances. When we kindly requested a change of sheets, front desk was friendly and stated it would be changed. We were gone all day and when we returned back to the room that evening, nothing had been changed out. We went back down to the front desk and was handed all of the bedsheets and comforter to change it ourselves. Check in paperwork stated housekeeping would not be conducted until the third day of stay. On our third day, fresh towels were placed in the bathroom, but trash not taken out or beds not made. The overall cleanliness and lack of housekeeping was shocking as I work in hospitality/property management. Very disappointing for a Marriott Bonvoy product. Elevators not working properly. Several times we witnessed new guests carrying their luggage up the fire staircase to their rooms and this is a multi level property. We chose to take the stairs 90% of the time. The pool was extremely dirty. When you viewed the pool from the balcony, and the waterfalls were off, you could see the white scum layer over the entire pool. Trash was floating in the pool and around the pool. Several times we picked up trash and threw it away. The very best part of this trip was the beach service contractor La Dolce Vita. Angelo and Victoria level of customer service truly made the beach experience memorable. They treated each guest with such care and kindness. Their attention to detail was a stark difference compared to the hotel. The overall issue with this property is most likely an ownership issue or management issue. If understaffed, this is the end product. If training and follow-up is not top priority it impacts work culture. We decided to extend our stay and chose to book at another property.

Had to use the stairs most of my stay there . Because all elevators weren’t function , I was on the 10th floor so it was a lot .

I liked that we were located right on the beach. The pool was nice and the bar by the pool had really good drinks and service.

The elevators were HORRIBLE when we first got there only 2 out of the 3 were working by the end of the night we were down to one. We waited 30 minutes to get on the elevator. One time we walked up 10 flights of stairs to our room because we didn’t want to wait anymore. Also when we got into our room the first day we found trash underneath the sofa in our room. It was not clean and all and the sofa smelt as though and animal had peed on it. We were very unhappy.

The breakfast was excellent! It was more than continental breakfast. Some selections were Sausage(pork and turkey), grits, pastries , cereal, yogurt w/ toppings, fruit and waffle makers. Coffee, milk, juice etc.

When we arrived only 1 of the 3 elevators was working. There was no air as we waited on the ground floor. The lobby was located on the 4th floor. We stood at the ground level for over 15 min waiting for the elevator that was full of people whenever it got to us. We had to take the stairs to check in. We had my elderly mom in a wheelchair who was confined to the room because of the elevator issue. Our room was on the 13th floor, we had to take 13 flights of stairs up and down to get food, go to the beach, and the pool. There was no air in the hallways of the hotel.

I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I probably will not return. The service was terrible. Our room was not cleaned even once during our entire stay. The elevators work very poorly—we were traveling with a small child and had to wait 5–7 minutes every time because they were always full. The breakfast was awful, with almost nothing to eat. The beach chairs cost extra, the pool was dirty, and our room was very old and in terrible condition

Very nice clean room, beautiful view, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, lovely beach and beautiful pool! Great price too! I read some bad reviews and I was so worried. I wish I would have never read them because none of what I read was true.

The breakfast cuts off a little early, and they didn’t do a good job of making sure the breakfast area was continually stocked during the breakfast hours. We went at 8:30 and there was no pancake mix or anything in any of the dispensers despite guests asking about it.

The elevator didn’t work we’re on the 14th floor had to walk constantly down the stairs, not happy frame in my bathroom water came to my ankle so I was taking a shower. Breakfast buffet was very nice but a lot of times there are no eggs they were gone.

The elevator took forever and it took 30 mins just to get to the room after checking-in and it did not help that the fire alarm went off at midnight and nothing was really told to us about what was going on.

Booking stated it was a pet friendly, when we get there with out mini yorkie poo. They didn't check us in. We waited over 2 hours. And have to look for a pet friendly hotel nearby.

i didnt like that the 5th floor hallway smells bad and the elevators we’re ridiculous takes 15 minutes to get from floor to floor the hallways were so hot with no a/c elevators as well OH and you gotta pay to park during your stay

The time it takes to check in. The check-in time is 4pm unless you pay $150 for early check-in. We arrived at 3pm, there were 3 staff members at counter. At 4pm, for about 20 minutes, there was only 1 staff person checking customers in. There was a long line with people complaining. After driving for 3.5 hours to Panama, you are ready to get your vacation started and not stand in line for 30 minutes. No apology from management.

The staff were great. The pool and facilities were pretty neat.

The hotel bed was a bit small for my liking, queen is just too small. And uncomfortable. I woke up with a sore back. Definitely too small for 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 9 years)

Our room was poorly cleaned, with hair, food debris, and visible signs of neglect throughout. The worst part was discovering a urine-soaked mattress after our family had already settled in for the night, and the only solution offered was replacement sheets. Extremely disappointing experience and a lack of customer service when we reported a serious sanitation issue.

The room service is horrible we stayed Tuesday to Friday and Nobody came and made the bed or cleaned the room you have to go to the desk and ask what you need otherwise you will not have clean towels or even toilet paper specially when you bring sand in the bedroom they need to vacuum every day 😞

They were late checking me in and then they told me there was no available room for me facing the ocean on which that’s what I wanted! They were not accommodating and didn’t about like they are sorry at all! So that was a bummer!

And not in the room or lobby, but every other place smelled like a locker room. 10-15 waits at the elevators. And the shower was the strangest setup I have ever seen. And the handle wasn’t working right and water pressure was horrible

There was only one person at the check in. I had to dtand in line for nearly an hour. The reception area was very hot. A man did come around offering a cold alcoholic beverage,however I do not drink alcohol. You really need to come up with a better system or hire more staff.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but families deserve to know about our experience. We booked our family vacation in advance and drove nearly 10 hours from Arkansas looking forward to our stay. Before arriving, I personally communicated with the hotel regarding accommodations for my autistic son. The staff responded specifically to my messages and, less than 24 hours before arrival, even sent, “We will see you soon. Safe travels!” When we arrived, we were told we no longer had a room. Watching my two youngest boys standing at the lobby windows excitedly looking at the pool, only to tell them we couldn’t stay there after all, was heartbreaking. My autistic son became completely overwhelmed, and what should have been the start of our vacation turned into one of the most stressful travel experiences our family has ever had. To Expedia’s credit, they stepped in immediately, found us another hotel, stayed with us throughout the process, and continued communicating afterward. They deserve recognition for how they handled an incredibly difficult situation. Unfortunately, my experience with SpringHill Suites only became more frustrating after we left. Expedia provided written findings that the hotel had canceled our reservation, yet the explanations I later received from the property—including the General Manager’s public response—did not match my firsthand experience or each other. Despite asking reasonable questions and providing documentation, meaningful communication from the property was very limited, and I was repeatedly directed back to Expedia even after Expedia had already completed its investigation. Every reservation issue won’t be preventable. What guests will remember is how they’re treated when something goes wrong. Based on my family’s experience, the compassion, communication, and accountability we expected simply were not there. Families traveling with children, especially those with additional needs, deserve better.

This was our first time we stayed at a hotel like this. I've seen the other reviews. We have experienced bad in the past with other hotels but this hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly at the check in. Room was very clean. We booked the balcony and ocean view and we were not disappointed in the least. The experience was EXCEPTIONAL.. I'm already planning our next vacation there for next year with all our kids. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay enjoyable!!! See you soon.
