Excellent from service to accommodation. My only concern was the pet bed we were given unwashed pet bed that smells sadly.

Sent a message to the property two days before to check if two beds are available and didn’t get a response.

Friendly staff. Great location for access to central places. Had to pay 500 pesos for a small refrigerator. Had leftovers from a restaurant and was told no food could be brought to the hotel because it has a restaurant and next time would result in a charge. I think this is a terrible policy. The TV had no signal and the staff said I could watch You Tube. I desired to watch English language news. I requested they fix this issue but they did not. In addition, a large puddle occurred in the room overnight. When I reported this the staff seemed unconcerned and stated that it had rained. Shower had so many clogged spouts it directed water all over the floor. Despite these issues, I enjoy this hotel and will stay there again if needed.

Wish they can provide standard 2 keycards so it will be easier for a couple

No one assisted with the luggage, with 2 kids in tow and 2 luggage with only one adult was hard work. Sadly nobody even asked if we need help.for breakfast buffet, Food was standard. Minimal choices.

Poor assistance, with 2kids in tow and luggage, with one adult, you expect somehow they would offer some help sadly, no one did. Have to find our way to the elevator. Breakfast buffet has minimal food choices. Saving grace is, they offer coffee!

The Bad - Breakfast was SEVERELY lacking, with the food quality extremely disappointing. - The stench of the creek beside the hotel when you step outside or swim in their pool - Avoid the rooms facing the city/road if you're staying in a lower floor. - There is a decrease in value for money due to their price increase. - Plenty of items unavailable from their restaurant/room service menu. The Good - Room size is more than adequate, and the views to either the volcano or the city is nicer on the higher floors - Bed is comfortable - Laundry was crisp and clean - Staff were polite - Spa therapist was really good. I highly recommend their signature massage. May reconsider staying elsewhere in the city if this does not improve.

I travel often all over the world...and i never had to pay ro bring in outside food...500 peso for outside food...RIDICULOUS...won't ever be coming back here and I'll be sure to advise all my traveling friends to NEVER come here.

The staffs are super nice and accommodating.

Looks nice inside. The dining are and room are well designed. But bathroom is missing of extra towel or rug for the floor. Water from shower are overflowing on the floor. But I would recommend this hotel.

Check-in: they are fully booked even if reserved so we got a twin bed instead of the superior bed we booked 3 weeks in advance Cleanliness and Ambiance: the hallway had a musty old carpet smell and it gets worse when you enter the room. It smells so musty that it triggered my allergies. The white shear curtain was torn on the sides. The bed seemed a little damped Checkout: The do not provide OR. I stayed for a business trip and need to have this reimbursed. The manager talked to me with even sitting down she stood the whole time, arms crossed and did not apologized told me they only issue ORs if booked with Atlantis which was not only website. “Educated” me to book rooms moving forward using my company name online hahaha. So how can they confirm the booking then will my company need to call them, that I have no idea. If I can give a lower rating I would.

This was a great place to be based in Legazpi with a lovely outdoor pool that was warm thanks to some very sunny days. Our room looked out on the main road but this was in no way a problem and was not noisey. All the staff were warm and friendly, especially Callie who was always on duty in reception. She’s a little dog who quite happily sits on the reception desk greeting visitors. If you feel you want a change from the hotel food (which was good) you can order in from Grab but there is a charge added if your order is before 10pm. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed.

We booked into this hotel because it had a bar and a pool for us all to relax. However, the pool wasn’t open because there was no chlorine in the pool and it was dirty. The hotel doesn’t allow alcohol in the hotel so you could order a nightcap before going to bed. The bar around the pool closes at 10pm and wasn’t well stocked. Not value for money.

unfortunately had a very bad experience with the hotel. i booked the hotel for 2 nights and was expecting a better service from the hotel. first night i had my dinner and some drinks at the bar of the hotel which i put an order of pizza and took them more than 40 min to prepare considering 3 follow-ups that i did. breakfast is extremely disappointing. i asked for an omelet which initially they told me that they dont make omelet. was never served. i believe for the price they are charging this service is very terrible. 2 viands for breakfast? no bread? can't even ask for an omelet? im not sure how are the other hotels in the area but i think this service is comparable to a cheap motel in manila.

Poor management!!

Room was ok- no view of Mr Mayon from our window. No refrigerator in room. Electronic locks were difficult to open. Noise from the street very loud; best to get room facing creek. We were not told that hotel is pet friendly. So two dogs were loudly barking in one of the rooms on our floor. Late at night and early morning. I just feel like we have our rights too as paying customers for a restful sleep. There was ample parking In the back. Breakfast was ok- no fruit and bread. And by 8:30am - food was already cold. Best thing about this hotel was the spa. We were very happy with the cleanliness and service.

This is rated as a “4-star” hotel. At most, I’d give it a 3-star and that’s being very very generous. Bathroom wasn’t very clean and there were winged insects (flies?) in the sink. I saw that some of the work done in the room I was in was rushed too. Included breakfast was very limited and disappointing. I was expecting more since this hotel was carrying the name “Oriental” and I stayed in far better hotels that’s cheaper and have better amenities… The staff were trying extra hard to accomodate and please guests but they felt like they were hospitality students who were in apprenticeship and didn’t know what they were doing. Also phoned the desk from room to let them know that the WiFi wasn’t working. They said they’ll let their IT department know but no action was taken. I didn’t get a call back as well… Issue wasn’t fixed and I just resorted to using my mobile data for work. Menu was made from a coloured bond paper that was laminated. Not to nitpick but this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel. Dinner was lacklustre. I ordered a cheeseburger, which is really hard to screw up. What I got: overcooked and burned patty that wasn’t seasoned well. Potato chips that came with it tasted bitter like it was burned. I did like the lumpia on a positive note though. I’d pay a little more money for a better hotel, which Legazpi City has quite a few of. One good thing I can say us that the bed and pillows were super comfortable.

Room Amenities is not good. Shampoo and conditioner, soap is empty. Breakfast is limited and no choose and few. Security and some staff sleeping in the lobby at early morning. Lobby is very dark at night. First time and will not recommended to my friends to stay.

One of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in the Philippines. The staffs are amazing, the food was great, the accommodation is very relaxing. We also tried their spa- very relaxing too. We also had a nice view of Mt. Mayon- the most photographed Volcano in the World.

I booked this hotel last minute. I was planning to book a different one but my former student offered this with a discount so I grabbed it. It was a good decision! The room was spacious, clean. The bed, comfy. There's a buffet breakfast. The parking was also huge. One area for improvement is that i think they should improve the taste of their food. I mean, it's so-so.

Have stayed hear a few times. Property is declining. Ac didn’t work. Free breakfast was buffet and mostly cold.

Booked this hotel for our 2 nights stay in Legazpi because of good reviews. Our experience though was quite the opposite. We booked two twin deluxe room but was given one queen deluxe instead. We asked the queen to be changed to deluxe and have the room ready when we get back from our day exploring. Upon arrival back to the hotel, the front desk had no idea of our request. We had to recount everything that was agreed upon earlier and this took more than 15 minutes of arguing with the staff. Earlier, as we were about to enter one of the rooms, there was a couple behind us which we learned was also assigned the same room. This will have consequence later on during checkout. Housekeeping did not clean our rooms despite having the make up room sign on. We had to call front desk and ask them to send someone to clean the rooms and bathrooms. Hotel only provided towels. No face or hand towels. We requested either hand or face towel and was told we had to pay extra for the face towel. They did not have any hand towels. Also requested to borrow hair dryer. Again, was told they did not have any. Bedsheets also had damp smell. At checkout, we were billed for use of the spa. We informed front desk that we did not avail of any spa service and that it may have been the couple who was also assigned the same room number as us at check-in. We were told to wait while they confirm the charge. The girl attending to us proceeded to entertain other guest and had us waiting for more than 20 minutes. We had to ask someone else to look into the matter and cause a bit of a commotion before they attended to us. Overall, a nightmare of an experience. Please avoid at all cost.

no slippers, no wifi inside the room

Staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast is ok. Room is clean, it’s just the towels and beddings a bit stained. Aside from that, we’re enjoying our stay.

Very accommodating and friendly, from the reservations by Ms Catherine (gave us corporate discount and waived the holiday surcharge), Ms Wendy (answering all my queries politely) and Max of frontdesk (giving me the room with best view “Mayon Volcano”) and all staff with smile. They will greet you everywhere. All amenities (pool, spa, resto and bar) were above standards except the creek inside the compound. When you open the windows, mosquitoes will come in and the smell of the creek also. There were ants in the room. Iron and iron board requested not high quality. Although, Since the pandemic, I make it a point to bring all the necessary disinfection tools (UV lights, lysol wipes and solution) and all beddings and personal towels. The food (altho it’s plated since pandemic) was so good, esp the vinegar. Nevertheless, it outweighs the hospitality that we felt. Thank you Proxy by The Oriental Albay!!! Worth the 12 hours trip! Definitely we will back with the whole family. Kudos!!! 👍👍

We used the hotel as an overnight stay twice when switching between wakeboarding at CWC, climbing Mount Mayon, heading to Donsol and flying out to Cebu. My planning of the trip left much to be desired and I actually booked the wrong night for the first one! Thankfully, the front desk staff (Mart and a lady whose name I forget) handled the situation very fairly and averted a lot of stress! Next on my list of failings was forgetting a charger cable – again the staff at the hotel (Mark this time) came to our rescue. The hospitality extended to the restaurant staff as well, the lady on duty answered loads of questions and took a genuine interest in our trip – I’d say the staff are the biggest asset of the hotel. Both times we had really early starts ~4:30am and the hotel provided a breakfast to go and checking out was smooth both times. The hotel is less than a year old, so the rooms were in good condition and spacious enough. There’s also a pool and an outdoor bar, which we didn’t have time to check out, but would have been great after climbing the mountain.

The view was great food and service was a pleasurable experience. The room was kept neat and tidy, we have been well accomodated by the staff .although we have encountered issue on the booking reservation they have made their best to assist and adress our concerns .The confirmation was not their fault i guess it was more on the App itself.

Bad customer service, bad plumbing, bathroom floor flooded, can’t use the vault because no staff would come and open the safe so I was forced to carry all my important documents and jewels everywhere I go. No towels in the room we have to go down every single night to ask for towels and on the last couple of days we just didn’t bother asking anymore. We also sat down for breakfast but 45 minutes wait still nothing so we decided to walk out and get breakfast somewhere else. Never ate breakfast again in the hotel. Will never stay in this hotel again very disappointed

The staff was was great. They were quick to respond to our requests and always got the job done quickly. I would definitely stay here again.

The overall stay in Proxy by The Oriental Albay is fine but then we did not get notified that the pool is occupied because of a debut party. I mean part of our plan is to hangout by the pool at night but got ruined so we just stayed in the room all night instead. The television got only one channel which is really disappointing lol There is also some kind of unpleasant smell when we first entered the room and we extinguished it by spraying perfume.

Tried direct booking but front desk officer took long to respond so I tried using hotels.com app instead for seamless booking. Upon arrival, we noticed the warm atmosphere at the lobby due to poor airconditioning but the lobby was clean and easy to look for. We added one more room since we are 5 persons all in all. The roomy was neat and cozy which is a plus along with the spacious bathroom. We noticed the room door to be a bit thin so you can here people outside walking along the hallway. It was a satisfactory stay overall as the hotel offers good value for money with their pricing. Parking is located at the back near the pool but can be a bit crowded during weekends. Buffet is affordable

We reserved for an overnight stay and here are some points good/average/not so good (I won't say bad because their hotel is new and tourism, hotels are just getting back on their feet from pandemic) The rates: 3,500 for a room What's in the room: 2 queen size bed 👍👍👍 Area is ample for the room 👍👍👍 The Furniture - one hanging desk for your personal stuff and can be used as desk for working using laptops But I think it's not yet fully completed because the outlet is not easily accessible (please provide grommet at the desk for outlet socket access) Kettle is plugged either on the side table or inside the bathroom lavatory counter. -No small fridge (which a 3,500 room rate should have) - Wardrobe open cabinet is nice - space for shoes is okay too! -one bedside table with drawer -rack for luggage -TV and heater (but ours was currently not working so 😩 nah for me) bathroom: a bit tight, shower should be located where the lavatory counter is, and lavatory counter should be at the location of the shower... With Bidet, trash in, tissue, big mirror, spacious lavatory counter, the glass partition should be check, purposed of preventing the water splashing all over the bathroom is not achieved. Please add robe hooks 😊 Complimentaries: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and refillable pump shampoos and conditioner 👍👍👍👍👍 sachets of tea, coffee, sugar, creamer and 2 bottled water Cleanliness: 1 to 10. I give 8 ❤️. Amenities Pool, Cafe, open bar (the bar code) Wide parking spaces Spa and massage rooms Service Guards are polite and gives good assistance especially to pwd's My mom is well assisted. Crew: They are limited but so far needs extra effort when in greeting guests. The tone of greetings and smiling eyes are good impressions for guests. Service - we asked for the luggage cart and it took 20 mins to arrive when we are about to check out. We asked for extra pillow around 5:30pm and it was not provided, we left the room for dinner arrived 10pm And asked again for the pillow. 15mins then it was delivered. Food : complimentary breakfast Is good. With coffee too ❤️ We haven't ordered other in their menu So I can't rate much for the food. Ambience - nice and clean, Bravo! for the stairs, you will never get tiring going up nor down. Elevator is okay to!!! Overall - it's an average stay but with potential to be awesome. And probably next visit would be much better. Looking forward to PROXY BY the Oriental Hotel!!!

Overall, enjoyed the stay at the PROXY. The staff are very accommodating :) There were some issues with the heater in the room (not able to fix)

- on our first day upon entering the room can see hair on the floor - drainage on the shower area was clogged - hmmmm also foul odor upon entering the room only to realize it was the room attendant who assisted us - unable to connect to the internet - we have to transfer to another room due to unacceptable circumstances which is kind of a hassle - on our 3rd day water supply was disrupted for hours or so so we cannot use the toilet

I like the location of this hotel which is right in the city. It has a nice pool and lounging area. The restaurant located at the ground floor of the hotel was okay too. Needs improvement though on their servings coz I found it not enough for 1 person. Also, if they’ll be using placemats for every table it should be changed every after use. During our stay we had problems with the wifi which was resolved after a good 5 hrs or so. We had a water problem too during our stay which was so annoying. We did a night swim and when we got to our room to shower, there was no water supply. They didn’t offer any solution but kept on saying, “we’re having maintenance check what the problem is. We’re sorry.” I even had to ask if we can shower at the hotel Spa, which they should’ve offered at the beginning coz we’ve been waiting for hours to have it fixed. Overall, our stay was OK. Hotel is newly built/ renovated/ modern interior. Food tasted good but needs to serve more per serving. Restaurant staff who worked during closing hours were great. Security officer and front desk personnel were courteous.

The room given to us has just been vacated by a previous guest and base on how we saw the room, the beddings were arranged but when we move one of the bed the floor under it was dusty and dirty. The shower room looks like it was cleaned in a hurry and no bathroom rug was in place. The shower room drainage was clogged. Service was slow. This was also the first time I encountered checking in a hotel that doesn't have complimentary bedroom slippers. When I asked front desk for it, he said it can be provided for us but we need to pay for it. And they say it's a 4 star hotel?? Even the staffs that assisted us with their plated complimentary breakfast looks like they did not undergo proper training. This hotel is absolutely NOT recommendable. Instead of having a stress free staycation, we end up stressing during our stay.

The hotel is clean but don't expect too much for the wifi internet is s**** but the room is fine. and it's a fien stay though food is affordable and good. and it's just around the city so there is no problem for the transpo the guard will just call you a tricycle.

We loved the spacious queen-sized bedroom but they didn't give us bathrobes and flip flops that I saw in the picture. The bed is great and very comfortable. The phone in our room wasn't working. The TV channels are boring. It didn't have HBO. The bathroom would have been great if not for the faulty faucet and shower. The water pressure fluctuated and the warmth of the shower wasn't consistent. Our room was on the 5th floor so I think there was an issue due to the elevation. We availed of the complimentary breakfast worth p500 and we got a fried egg, the worst ever pair of meat loaves (probably of the cheap MaLing brand) and cup of unsatisfactory brewed coffee. For this price range I expected way way better. It ruined our experience of this premium looking hotel.

This hotel is new but the "feel" of this resto is old and moldy. The smell was moldy and the ambiance gloomy. The food so-so. They have limited food choices; even for their coffee, the only available was brewed coffee. The food and experience, forgettable. One good thing about this was that the waiter who served us was nice, attentive, and friendly.

Given that I was placed on quarantine since July 31 and had been given the runaround by the health authorities of Legazpi City, I would have been completely lost without the help of the hotel management, especially its manager Edel Antonio. I am happy that I decided to stay here. The staff are polite, helpful and very accommodating. I always liked the Oriental brand having been to the Oriental Legazpi a number of times several years back when I was based in the city from 2011 to 2015. And my belief in this brand has been reaffirmed by my stay here. I wish to be one of the first to be at Oriental Legazpi when it reopens.

This was a last minute booking which was recommended by my mama who stayed here 2 months ago. The hotel is fairly new so room facilities were excellent, the shower had 'real' hot water with excellent water pressure - this is hard to find in many local hotels. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and the pool was nice though it could do with some sun lounges. The bedding was super comfortable and I have requested the brand of pillows because they were 5/5 👌.

Been here in Bicol for quite sometime now. And I really love how welcoming and loving the people here, specially in The Oriental Albay. Their welcoming and friendly ambiance are enough to make you feel at home. Staffs are always smiling and very accomodating. The food is superb and the service is great. Oriental Albay is just boutique hotel but the service and the experience is far beyond from what a boutique hotel could offer. All in all, I really love this place and definitely will be back soon. ❤

Their Food is amazing, its more on new cuisines in Legazpi, the style of the resto is different,their buffet is amazing... We visited them twice.. The service is fast, and they always smile... We love the lobby, its so clean, though lightings are a but incomplete. Overall its Good! Its really a boutique hotel, wuth helpful staff... Rooms are fine, but it will be more great with good lightings...

We booked last Feb 13-14 for our family staycation for the hearts day ❤️ Total experience was incredible. Staff were friendly and accommodating 🤩 Food in Jeremy’s Restaurant were great too, the kids loved it👍😍 A must try hotel in Legazpi! Good job 👍👍👏🏻👏🏻

Recommending this hotel for those travelling in Legazpi City. Had a great time when i stayed here. Foods served are all mouth watering (kudos to chefs here, 👌), enjoyed my breakfast here too. Oh by the way, you should really try their taho, promise it's very delicious! But the thing i loved most in this hotel is the hospitality of the staffs. Staffs from the reception will really make you feel at home and actually everybody whom i encountered and had talked to when i was here were all very accommodating. Will never forget too the "chikas" with the staff and there's never a dull moment whenever i go to the lobby. I'll definitely come back here and will invite more of my friends or co-workers. The hotel is relatively new, very spacious parking but the pool is not yet available for swimming.

We stayed in this hotel twice and I can say it is value for money and their great customer service is consistent. They respond to our request quickly which made our family had a comfortable stay. During our last stay, the hotel facilities was affected by the storm Tisoy. They are attentive to their guest to ensure that everything is ok and hotel operation is normal. Staff are very helpful and very welcoming.

Wanted to stay at Oriental with view of Volcano & pool ..2 hotels in legaspi with same name..much confusion!..could not cancel reservation without charge ? No maps or tourist info..No Pool here..Beds were small for 2 people ..No refrigerator .Breakfast was small..tricycle driver took family to other Oriental after shopping

Room is bare. A carpeted floor with a nice sofa & chair and big tv screen, a perculator and a ref plus easy hot and cold shower controls will make this room pleasing to stay with. In fairness, i love d bed and the HUGE comfy piliows and d smell of clean towels. The staffs are Great! From the security guard to d welcoming staff and front desk especially Ces and Xedric. Buffet bfast needs more variations like corn beefs, bacons, hams, longanisa!s, pan cakes and hot chocos would have been much more appreciated😂
