Stayed here at the end of a 4-week World Cup trip, full of travel friction and bizarre hotel behaviour elsewhere. This place was a breath of fresh air, mainly because of ALL the staff I interacted with. They were all approachable, lovely, and proactive. ​They didn't care that I was a grown adult excited for my international visit to Carowinds; in fact, they had quite the chat with me while checking in about my journey with my mates thus far to get here and suggested putting me in a room with a view of Thunderstriker—which was a nice touch. The breakfast 🥞 was hearty and self-serve. We don't have DIY waffle machines in AU hotels, but I'm a convert. ​When I realised I'd left a charging cable in the first room, the staff were super helpful in letting me back in to grab it. And on the last full day I spent over at Carowinds, I had to check out and the staff looked after my backpack for me behind the front desk. It was a hot, sweaty NC summer day in the park and they even let me walk back over and retrieve my sunscreen I had left in my bag, no problems at all. ​This place is also conveniently located near Twin Peaks sports bar, which came in handy for watching the evening World Cup matches. ​When I next want to escape Australia's poorly run theme parks and fly across the pond to experience the real thing again, I will absolutely be coming directly here and asking for a 2nd-floor room if available. Great staff, great location. They made the final nights of my trip really smooth, and it was a great note to end on.

The only thing I will note that could be better is having the room safes usable. In the first room they put me in, the safe was already locked and I was told there was no way of knowing the code to open it. They happily put me in a new room in the hope that this safe would be open, but this one was locked as well. I actually decided to stay in the second room as it smelled better and was a little further up the 2nd-floor hallway from the lifts. But yeah, travellers appreciate the use of a room safe; please get them all opened so they can be used as intended!

The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Budget friendly. Mostly clean. Great location! The breakfast spread was excellent!

They tend to run out of pool towels, recommend bringing your own.

I loved how close the hotel was to Carowinds and how friendly the workers were to us.

The elevator was broken, bed was hard as a rock, the kitchen ran out of some foods, and the room was hot.

I booked a last minute stay after a concert in charlotte. The night staff was excellent.

The room we got looked nothing like the photo of the room we booked. It wasn’t dirty but wasn’t exactly clean either.

The beds were uncomfortable, the room had a bad chemical smell, and the floors were wet when I arrived. Also, when I made my reservation with booking, I noted that I would have my pet with me. I checked in with no problems, and the first two days went fine. On the last day, before checkout, I was confronted by a worker I hadn't seen who had a severe problem with me having a pet on that particular floor. She caused a lot of stress, and they kept my security deposit because of her. It's enough to make me not want to stay again.

The food was good, location was great, the stay was good once all the room issues were resolved on day one! The staff was courteous, the noise was minimal and the area food delivery service was very good. No bugs encounter. Pets stayed on the first floor only.

The room was dirty, had not been cleaned, I pulled the cover back bed sheet wrinkled like someone slept on it and hair was on the sheet, trash on the floor and all around the corners of the room hadn't been vacuumed, the refrigerator, microwave and ice bucket was dirty. Trash was behind the dresser when I looked for a plug for my air purifier. Employee Yessi is a keeper, she came in cleaned everything thoroughly, stripped the beds completely and put on clean, everything, Yessir Made sure we were comfortable throughout our four night stay on asking how we were doing and if we needed anything.

Perfect location to Carowinds Theme Park. This is my second time renting rooms for my family of 6 to stay. We enjoyed the adjoining rooms as before which makes it easy for our grand children to see us.. The rooms are always clean have have a nice clean smell. We are always on the ground level which makes it nice and calm and no noise. The hosekeeping staff are always plesant and very attentive to any request within reason. The morning breakfast bar is always clean and well stocked with many items to choose from. In the main lobby there is lots of space to just relax and enjoy the atmosphere with plugs for your phones or computer. Lets talk value: Way within the price range of any hotel, but whats even better it's walking distance to the theme park. There is an inground pool and its very nice to cool down after a day at the park, or a long day of driving. They have a little store in the lobby to purchase quick meals that are frozen with a microwave right there. Grounds are always kept nice and you never see a trashcan that full.

We spend the 4th at Comfort Inn and everything about it was great!!! The staff was so accommodating and kind. The rooms were clean. My mom came also and they gave us adjoining rooms.

I wished the breakfast was a little better. Real eggs would be better and maybe the Option for breakfast. The bathtub did not hold water. They need to be fixed. Was disappointed in that!!!.

The bathroom was supposed to be easily accessible for a person with mobility issues and was not. We were expecting a walk-in shower ONLY with grab bars. What we received was a bathroom with a tub and NO grab bars. We didn't take a shower because we felt it was too unsafe for us. Beds were a little uncomfortable, too. We both are

The beds were VERY uncomfortable. Almost like sleeping on a cardboard box on concrete floors. The fridge in our room didn’t stay closed very well. And the outlets wouldn’t hold our chargers for our devices very loose connection.

The location was great for Carowinds. The hot water and water pressure for the shower was great. The a/c was nice and cool which was great after a long day at Carowinds. The breakfast was fresh we'll stocked and great variety. We didnt use the pool. It seemed small and had no shade but it was open until 10pm which was later than other hotels we have stayed at.

I think we got a bad room. We stayed in 141 and the floor was sticking up. I was concerned it was from water damage and there could be mold. There seemed to be some recent fixes to the bathroom but didnt look good. When house cleaning came around to turn over other rooms I walked around and noticed a lot of the rooms on the first floor had this issue with the floor.. Also, the mattress was very very firm. I am a stomach sleeper and almost hurt to sleep.

I like that the hotel was close to the amusement park. If you did not want to drive you can actually walk.i had issues with my other two rooms that I booked. The customer service Tiffany helped me to get it situated. She went beyond. She even helped me with my third party She was the best and not rude at all. I think all the staffing I talked to was great.

The only thing wrong with the room is that the toilet flushes real slow. You actually had to stand there and watch it.

Breakfast was not hot, in fact barely warm except if we had had time for Waffles, which were make your own.

The eggs, bacon, and sausage could have been sooo much better if they had be anything above lukewarm.

The proximity to carowinds after our long day at the park was great. Coming back to shower our dinner gave us plenty of time to relax between activities.

The location near Carowinds was convenient, and the first night of our stay was fine.

Our stay was completely ruined by the guests in the neighboring room repeatedly smoking marijuana and causing excessive noise throughout the night. The smell was so strong it came directly into our room and caused issues for my child, who has asthma. We also travel with two medical service dogs trained to alert to seizures and breathing issues, and our asthma alert dog was repeatedly alerting throughout the night because of my child’s breathing problems from the smoke exposure. I reported the disturbance and marijuana smell to the front office and was assured it would be handled, yet the problem continued all night. We ultimately left our trip a day early because my child could not sleep and neither could the rest of the family. What made the situation even more frustrating was the response afterward. The General Manager claimed there was “no noise” in the video evidence I emailed, despite the disturbance being obvious. I was then told there was no report made, even though I directly contacted the front office during our stay. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns from a family traveling with children and medical service dogs, the issue was dismissed entirely. I was not asking for a full refund — only one night refunded due to the conditions we experienced. For a family-oriented hotel near an amusement park, the handling of this situation was extremely disappointing.

Good breakfast. Decent room. I wish our room had more charging points though. Also the shampoo conditioner that they gave was very mediocre. But it's stones throw to Carowinds. So we just walked across to the park.

Comfort Inn was perfect. Clean room, great front desk staff and breakfast was great too. As long as I have my eggs, sausage and toast I was good till dinner. I will deft revisit this Comfort Inn again soon.

The front desk person Maria was kind and patient during my difficult check in. The location is perfect for Carowinds and the rooms are clean. Free breakfast was also a plus.

I've stayed here a few times, but this is my first visit since 2018. This is a larger, 4-story Comfort Inn that dates back to the 80's In the 2010's, the original building reveived a large addition housing the lobby and breakfast room. My room was 133, a standard king room. This hotel has received the "hardwood-look laminate" floor treatment, which I can't say I'm a fan of. The new flooring appear to be the only major renovation work done here since my last visit. The furniture is noticeably worn and battle-scarred (the desk is especially worn), and the corner chair has noticeable stains and/or grime. The tub drain didn't seal completely, allowing water to drain out even when closed. At least the room was clean despite the wear and everything was functional (one of the light switches by the entrance controlled the outlets by the desk; if they aren't working, flipping the switch should take care of it.) Their hot breakfast buffet gets bonus points for offering seasoned breakfast potatoes. The staff was friendly during the few times I spoke with them. The internet worked fine - decent speed and no random disconnects. The Comfort Inn Fort Mill/Carowinds Blvd. is decent and has a good breakfast, but it needs a renovation that goes beyond cold laminate flooring. The hotel is clean but worn, with potential once it's remodeled - or at least gets new furniture. For a low enough rate, it's still a good option for Carowinds/South Charlotte/Fort Mill visitors or a pit stop on I-77.

The gas smell in the room and hallway made us sick and told staff and they didn’t care just moved us rooms and the room was not good at all toilet ran non stop and the refrigerator didn’t work and pee stain on sheets staff was to busy sleeping in the back room when I went to check out and had to wait for a bit to get helped
