Super freundliches Personal
Frühstück inklusiv. Kein Aufschnitt, Käse, Eier oder Böhmchen. Einzig Müsli und Yogurt alles andere ist per Aufpreis erhältlich
It was fine to stay for one night, the bed was fairly comfortable.
The hotel and the facilities are old and it didn’t represent good value for money for the price. It wasn’t modern.
Handy of walking distance to shops.
Nothing.
No Buffet breakfast was just continental Says buffet
Great location, right in the heart of the city, good views, quite comfy, bit snug with 3 people, nice and warm.
Gets very stuffy, be unpleasant in summer, took ages for housekeeping to get us a 3rd towel, hotel was only half full but still had to pay for parking, use to be an option.
Room was nice and clean.
No overhead lights just 2 lamps. Could hear neighbors talking
comfy beds, lovely breakfast included in our rate, very walkable to the Otagon, Moray Place and CBD,
There was no hair dryer, the shower was over a bath, the shower head spat water out all over the bathroom sink and our bits and pieces, we had to plug the kettle into a low level power point on the floor - a few safety issues with the room we feel
Breakfast
Lighting in tge room
Love love love! Great room, bed, view and staff! Would recommend definitely staying again
Location. Clean.
Room was freezing, neither heaters were working, rang reception and the phone was not working… could hear desk man but he couldn’t hear me. Froze in bed as no electric blanket or room heating. I have stayed here before and it has been great, but this room was not good! Spoke to receptionist in the morning, she did not seem to care which was disappointing.
Central location in Dunedin
It was quite noisy on Saturday night due to its proximity to the Octagon. Getting hot water for a shower was a matter of technique
Friendly staff, clean comfortable room & easy walk to food & entertainment.
Big rooms with balcony
Breakfast was very disappointing
Used to be cooked breakfast with the price and now continental and have to pay additional for cooked breakfast.
Shower, room lighting, PARKING
staff and the room facilities.
paying $25 for the car parking. Either provide free car parking or don't charge that much.
The staff member who checked us in was lovely. The hotel is close to supermarkets and restaurants. Parking is available but if you don't prebook, they will charge you $25 instead of $15 which is advertised on their website.
When I booked it said the booking included a buffet breakfast. I assumed this would be a cooked breakfast but it was more like the breakfast you receive at school camp as in cereal, porridge, toast, stale scones and tinned fruit, the yoghurt was tasteless. The coffee was always empty and unless you asked for it to be refilled no staff member even checked. It was not busy, so I didn't understand why everything was empty. There was no way to heat up the scone unless you sliced it up and put it in the toaster, it was so stale i couldn't eat more than one bite. The staff upon check out were not friendly and could take note from the staff that are there later in the day.
Beds were very comfortable
Parking cost was high
L’emplacement
Le parking payant en sus de la chambre et le petit déjeuner
All OK
NIL
The bed was so comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful
It was a bit dated and need upgrades especially the ceiling
Very central
Little noisy from whomever is above you and if they loud
Location, room, view, laundry facilities, free breakfast
Nothing
The view was great
The room was uncomfortable
The beds are super comfy & the staff were very friendly.
We thought we were going to be getting a buffet breakfast with our room Booking but the breakfast is continental. We were disappointed in this, as we were looking forward to a cooked breakfast.
The hotels location was great, parking was good and easy, the suite was just what was needed.
No bar or restaurant for an evening meal, I understand that they may be reopening later in the year.
All were good.
Nothing. Everything was good.
We stayed at the hotel as it was close to graduation town hall
N/A
Location and price. Rooms was clean and comfortable. Check in and out were straight forward.
The breakfast is minimal/not a lot of choice. No cooked options. We have stayed previously and there were more options. Would hardly call it a buffet breakfast now, more a continental breakfast. No evening dinning either. Barely more than a ‘motel’ now.
Staff we’re really accommodating with a late request for early check in and late check out
Breakfast could have been better
Great veneue, close to town.
Everything was a little dated but clean
Love this place perfect location
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return. While this hotel is certainly not modern or newly renovated, that is precisely what made it so charming. Arriving to a clean, warm and comfortable room felt like stepping back into the golden era of the 1980s and 1990s. The décor and furnishings have an unmistakable character and nostalgia that I genuinely loved. For a building of its age, everything was exceptionally well maintained and in great condition. The room had a wonderful sense of warmth and authenticity that many modern hotels simply cannot replicate. The bedding deserves a special mention. It was, without question, the most comfortable bed I have slept in, and we have stayed at more than 14 different places along the South Coast of New Zealand. I genuinely did not want to get out of bed! The staff were lovely, welcoming and attentive, and the continental breakfast was excellent. Overall, I absolutely loved the atmosphere, comfort and nostalgic character of this hotel. It was a delightful experience and one I will remember fondly. I would definitely stay here again. If you appreciate character, comfort and a genuine sense of nostalgia, this place is a wonderful find.
Breakfast isn't complete; it's just bread and pastries, so while that might seem like an advantage, it isn't.
The beds are extremely comfortable, the place is clean and the location couldn't be any better
That there was no ability to make the likes of toast or heat up food for convenience in your room
The beds were comfortable
The breakfast included was a continental breakfast which was not clear at the time of booking. There was a lot of noise overnight which I appreciate isn’t necessarily the fault of the hotel but something to be mindful of
easy to find, walking distance to the centre, easy parking - helpful front desk, good breakfast
thebar and restaurant were closed
Clean and comfortable
Pay parking
The property and staff was good.
The breakfast was below average. Not worth of money as had minimum to no options. If claiming a refund would be an option I would go for it.

Great location Best bed in NZ
Breakfast was bad and charged for parking
Spacious. Value for money. Good location. Clean room and very helpful staff
Having a working restaurant
A very, very bad experience. 1. The promised good breakfast required extra payment. No integrity, false advertising. 2. Parking fees were not mentioned, and the fees were excessive. 3. Not worth the money at this hotel.

Great location, Friendly staff and comfortable beds.
Location and clean rooms
The advertised 'free' buffet breakfast no longer provides a cooked option so felt this was a basic option for being a draw card to choose accommodation.
Handy location
A little tired. A bit taken back that I had to pay extra to park the car. Breakfast was average.
We got upgraded so our rooms could be together, comfortable beds, nice view, central, breakfast included
Shower and towels very budget, breakfast was nice but if you got there a bit later, things had run out and weren't replaced. Very narrow car parks onsite on a slope - we moved to free on-street parking but while we were briefly in hotel parking someone opened their car door into our rental, denting it and scraping off paint - we had to pay $2000 when we returned the car.
Liked the location
The hotel looks old and tired and needs to be refurbished, Hotel information is out of date and incorrect. Having to pay $25.00 per night to park in the hotels car park is a bit steep.
Warm, comfortable hotel - close to town and great views. Breakfast was perfect!
Beds were absolutely amazing, they were like sleeping on a cloud. Location was very central, easy to walk to places. Free breakfast was a nice touch
That the laundry was not available to use.
Great bed clean great breakfast
Disappointed that the hotel has reduced the breakfast buffet.
Parking at property was charged extra. Room was cold Minimal amenities in room Breakfast didn't start til late
Easy check in, cheap and clean accommodation.
Little outdated, not much lighting in the room, shower soaps were empty.
Breakfast was ok
Breakfast bacon and eggs should be free with the breakfast complimentary
Rooms were clean and tidy
The breakfast was basically toast and cereal, very basic
Location walking distance to town
Annoying dripping noise that didn’t stop Breakfast was included but only for cereal & toast had to pay extra for hot breakfast
V good breakfast and plenty of it.
Shower in bath- gets harder as you get older. Part of building looking very tired- needs good paint job and boards replaced. I would come here again if it had more of a modern decour look and clean look outside.
