Nothing all good

Well placed and quiet. I had a lovely meal at the Law Courts one evening. I liked having an electric blanket. Heater was also automatically on when I arrived in my room late afternoon.

Rooms were basic but very clean, tidy & very comfortable. Our barman Jason was excellent & the two restaurant ladies were very friendly. The meals were very, very nice & reasonably priced.

Location

I knew the property was old but did not think it was That Old in not being updated enough. Hot and cold water came in separate taps in shower as well as wash basin. Extremely inconvenient. Also the sink was so small it was difficult to get the kettle filled even. The bed linen were very clean. The cleaning staff visited daily but only emptied the waster paper basket and topped up the tea and coffee. No other cleaning was done. Shower area was a sectioned off area of the wash room with a tin floor. No air purifier-which is why probably the window’s upper part was kept permanently open. The cleaning staff asked too many personnel questions when they were greeted out of courtesy. Other staff totally ignored us. Or simply gave blank looks.

Stay was good and the staff, one little annoying thing was the sound of the buzzer on the traffic light outside.

The staff were awesome. The food was value for money and the beverages were cheap as well. I had to extend my stay at the last minute and Malcolm was able to make it happen. Will definitely be back to stay.

bed was more comfortable than expected and noise from the street was not an issue. excellent restaurant facilities downstairs. free snacks in room was an excellent touch.

Parking was very tight especially if you have a ute or SUV. Bathroom was dated and needs a repaint.

On arrival at approximately 4pm no staff there, rang bell. Waited 15 mins. No one about. Called their phone number and someone from bar came over. Suggest they make a sign ‘go to bar if unattended’

Great location... Short easy and safe walk to Hospital, two Supermarkets and Town Centre. Wonderful Restaurant from breakfast to night meal... Very comfortable clean room - warm and cosy.... Wonderful, friendly staff.... Would stay again....

Great location in central Dunedin, excellent staff, very warm and comfortable.

I chose Law Courts Hotel at last minute due to forecast snow storm preventing airport shuttle reaching my home the next morning. Was adequate for the price. Nice evening meal.

I left before 6am and the lift does not access the ground floor at that time so had to descend one flight with bags, but I was warned.

It very nice hotel, the staff amazing helping everyone i do like them, excellent location close to shopping center, clean, comfortable, good food, and good price too.

I can't complain I like every thing in this hotel. Every one working hard.

Location was great, walking distance to nearby shops, restaurants and waterfront areas. The building is very grand and staff were friendly and accomodating.

Room was very dated. Damage has been painted over rather than repaired and bathroom was very old and due to disrepair could not be properly cleaned.

It was very handy to the town centre and also having a guest carpark was great. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant food was great and good value for money. Although the hotel is dated my room was very cozy and the bed was very comfortable. I'd gladly return to this hotel again.

The staff here are always lovely and welcoming. The rooms may be a bit basic for some tastes - but for me they are perfect, have everything you could need, and the rooms are cosy, warm and spotlessly clean. The old building is fantastic and really interesting. I stay here whenever I visit Dunedin - I love that I can park my car and just walk everywhere - you couldn't ask for a better location.

No laundry facilities. Bathroom was very tired, paint peeling and in need of a refresh.

there seemed to be a constant noise outside but thats not really the hotels fault, they've put a sort of double glazing in which made it a lot quieter to be fair.

It stunk of cat spray. It is a pub/hotel. It was dark, musty, outdated and essentially the cheapest thing in Dunedin.

The location is excellent in the centre of town. The staff members are kind and friendly. My room was comfortable and had all my needs provided though the decor has aged. The meals were very good and reasonably priced. Car parking on site was good and adequate in size for the quiet time of year I was there. An added attraction is the our late Queen and Prince Philip stayed there in 1954 and a photographic record of the occasion is prominently displayed. I would certainly stay there again.

Some of the decor and facilities could use a spruce up. This is not a complaint. Everything was very satisfactory.

Parking Situation Personnel

Location is perfect, right in the middle of the city. The room is basic but for the price amazing. Bed very comfortable. The room was very clean and bonus goodies free.

No lamps in the room which would be nice, so you don't have to get out of bed to turn off the lights Bathroom window did not shut properly. Saturday night noise - but hey it's a city.

I like everything, the location the staff really nice and helpful, the food yams, the price, I do like everything in this hotel, my favorite hotel.

The bed was so comfy as were the pillows. Staff were exceptional, friendly and informative. I wasn't there long so didn't use dining room but location was perfect for me.

Nothing to dislike about it. The the right value for the money paid. Some street noises but that is expected for a hotel on the main street.

Some small spots of mold in the toilet. Good occasional spray of mold remover would make it spot free.

Had to doctor up curtains as they had missing runners and we couldn’t shut them and lights were bright at night. Street noise took some getting used to overnight
