Just what we wanted
Comfortable bed
Good location and easy accessible. Great directions from the owner. We liked the kitchen with the table to eat at.
We are an older couple and it was tough getting out of bed because one side of bed was too close to the wall. Wish we had more space to move around
The home was very welcoming and comfortable. Will definitely be staying here again!!
Only complaint would be the room we stayed in (number 4) was pretty chilly.
Tout est parfait
Owner responded very promptly when i needed assistance!
Overall good, just the isolation of sound was not ideal. We could hear noises from rooms next to us. But the neighborhood was so quiet. The bed was a little bit bouncy and the springs in the mattress made quite loud noise whenever I move on the bed. Other things in the room were pretty good.
The house is modern with every detail attended to. The house maintenance was excellant, including towels and washcloths newer, clean, properly folded and stacked on the bed. The hostess was very polite and patient with me as this was my first expedia bnb rental, she dealt with everything by phone. And getting in was by codes. Nice quiet neighborhood, in the right part of town The only thing I didn't like was the bed was hard.
Host was very patient with my many questions. Property was lovely and clean. Dining was walkable. Thank you for a great stay!!
stay here very clean
Good location
Lock on my room didn’t work
Paid $170 per night. Also, there are many stairs not suitable for people with heavy suitcases.
I enjoy the location, quite property and friendly owner
Easy parking, quiet, quick response from owners.
Nice and clean
I like quite house as it's close to all amenities, very clean and yes, quite. I've stayed here a few times and wouldn't hesitate to recommend quite house as the best choice to stay. Thankyou Nina.
Nothing has changed since the last rating I gave for this place except for the weather which has only gotten better. Nina even addressed my only complaint in the last rating about the tv in my room which is too high to view comfortably. She will have her handyman Marco lower it. Thanks Nina!
Nina asked me to give a good review for this property and I have no problem with that. I feel right at home here and decided to stay on for at least another two weeks. I have not a single complaint. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and (there is even a rice cooker) and utensils so I had no problem finding the right tool to prepare meals. Everything is spotless. Stephanie, the house cleaner, does a great job. Not a ripple on that bed once she had changed it.
I guess that, if I have to answer this question, I'd have to say that the TV in Room 2 is too high on the wall and at an awkward angle to watch comfortably so I had to resort to watching TV in the living room. Only thing is that I had fewer options on that set as I couldn't sign on to Netflix. That's it.
The property was very nice however, listing it on Booking.com as $40 and charging me 147 was totally uncalled for and nothing but a ripoff
Loved my stay! Only suggestion would be to leave extra trash bags for guests to take out their trash as it piles up and there were no trash bags. Other than that, everything was clean, quiet and perfect. Thanks.
The add was quite deceiving. It implied house when in fact it was a bedroom just big enough to fit a king sized in, with use of a common kitchen and dining room. There were no comfortable chairs only kitchen chairs and a bench. The charge for the dog was excessive. I would not return or recommend. Very disappointing.
Dont be confused by the listing saying entire house. It is a house with many locked bedrooms. Basically a hostel style arrangement. The place is clean and comfortable. The landlord enters the facility at all times with out knocking or calling which is very disturbing. The place has cameras and anytime I brought a family member over they insisted on charging me. I only spent late nights there as I was in VANCOUVER all day. If you want any kind of privacy dont stay here.
Large room
Needed more lighting & microwave No coffee machine
I liked the quality of the amenities
I liked everything
Good
Older house but very clean and so quiet! Provided the basics and they were excellent at any correspondence and answered right away. I would definitely recommend.
I recently stayed at the Quite (Quiet?) House near Vancouver Airport and, unfortunately, my experience was not as expected. While there were some positive aspects, the overall stay was marred by several significant issues. Check-In Difficulties: The check-in process was frustratingly complicated. I encountered multiple problems accessing the property, and communication with the owner was less than helpful. This lack of efficiency set a negative tone for the beginning of my stay. There was a clear lack of accountability regarding this from the owner. I found several advertised features to be either non-existent or poorly executed. For example, the promised pastries were not provided, and the cleaning standards left much to be desired. I have time-stamped photos showing dirty plates in the kitchen cupboards at the start of our stay, inadequate cleaning products, and subpar gym equipment. I'll post on social media shortly. Positive Aspects: On a positive note, there were a few aspects of the property that I appreciated, such as a comfortable bed, clean sheets and towels, good location, and more. However, these positives were overshadowed by the overall lack of professionalism and attention to detail. Conclusion: The property has potential, but significant improvements are needed to offer a truly professional and accountable experience. I hope the owners take these issues seriously and work towards providing a more satisfactory stay in the future. Do better.
We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Sparkling, spotless bathroom and clean towels. The floors were immaculate, and the bed was comfortable with the crisp and fresh bedding. Had an amazing garden with a tree full of juicy plums. However, the room was very small and tight as it only fits a king size bed and a little bedside table. The place lacked basic amenities like tissue paper, shower gel and laundry detergent which we assumed was provided. Plus there was no iron or iron table. We faced issues with a very slow Wi-Fi during our stay as well. In general the room was good and quiet.
The Grand Quadruole Room was perfect for a quick 24-hour visit in and out of Vancouver for our family of 2 adults and 2 kiddos (ages 8 and 4). We had a private bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. The dark curtains were great. Very easy to come in and out. Having access to a kitchen was handy. Also, the backyard was fun for the kids on a hot Summer day, oh and legit the AC in the basement suite was awesome. I would say excellent for a shorter trip of 1-3 days. Owners did a good job on this suite rental. If I were to add one 'nice to have' would be for the television to be on a swivel mount on the wall so it could tilt more openly towards both beds. Overall, 10 out of 10.
Amazing property. Thank you for all your hospitality.
Very friendly and helpful host - very well designed and equipped, everything is there as you would have at home - very clean - there was even a bowl of dog food and treats filled at the entrance when we arrived, very thoughtful and makes you feel welcome - access to a nice and spacious back yard The only drawback was the size of the bedroom, a king sized bed didn’t leave much space in the room and the bed was only accessible from one side or the foot end - also bathroom was rather small - if it wasn’t for the room size, an “excellent” rating would be given
It’s a nice house and we love to stay there, very clean and has everything you need.
The house was quiet, clean, comfortable, and exactly what i was looking for. I had a lovely stay and would stay there again.
Cleanliness and well stocked. Super comfy beds . Two queen beds , good for family with 2 kids. Kitchen and wash in common area. Room has window. Parking place in the driveway. 25 min drive to downtown. Didn’t have to speak or see anyone as checkin and out instructions were spot on.
No other facilities. Just basic clean sleeping place with TV. Good for overnight stays and short trips.
I will go again
The property is very nice all rooms are equipped and with its own washrooms. Lots of parking available and it is very clean just like being on a five star hotel. It feels like your in your own home.
I have stayed at a lot of hotels through Expedia, which have been great. This was the best so far. We had 7 people on the trip. It felt like we were own house. There was a big refrigerator, stove, washer/dryer, and ample beds to sleep in. It is newly remodeled and very clean. The property is really close to shopping and dining. The communication with the owner was great. I will definitely be coming back here on trips to Vancouver in the future. I recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Vancouver.
Very quiet, host was very accessible and everything needed was provided.
Quite house was excellent!
Great owner. Great place to stay.

Firstly there was dog food left out in the kitchen which smelt. The bin was not emptied before I arrived. There were moths flying around the kitchen and living room everyday. This was really annoying when cooking and eating. Found quite a few dead moths on the countertop. And now the owner claims I have damaged the stairs and will not refund my deposit (which was difficult to give in the first place as I am not from Canada or America). I am always a careful person when staying at another property so I’m certain I did not do this. One good thing is the area, close to the grocery store/restaurants and a short walk to the park for anyone staying with pets.
DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! I REPEAT!! NEVER STAY HERE! These people are horrible to deal with rude inconsiderate! This place is horrible! They only care about taking your money! They accept ZERO responsibility for anything then blame it on Expedia!
I really enjoyed my stay! Such a comfy bed...hard to leave. Appreciated the extras, rosewater shampoo, flowers, prints of classic paintings, and the quiet location. Lovely home, would recommend!
There was lots of equipment like washing machine, tumble drier, coffee maker stove etc. in the kitchen. They provided lots of toiletries if you wanted them. Had the weather been nice garden facilities would have been good. The keypad entry was good to use.
This was not a quiet house, I do not think there was appropriate sound proofing between the floors and the doors banged. The motto of the house is that it is good to share but with up to 6 people on the ground floor and only 1 knife and 1 steak knife in the kitchen this was taking sharing too far. On the ground floor which was all we had access to there was a kitchen and small dining area, no open fire, comfy seating area or library which is advertised in the booking details for the property. The house rules were somewhat draconian and unless you were staying for a month you were only allowed 2 loo rolls! We only had part of one roll for5 nights! This place is no where near as good as it sounds!
I could not get into the accommodation, No one was there, could not get into the room, when I eventually did the room had not been clean for a new arrival, i.e. myself!
The reason it was a Quiet House was because no on was there to let you in or to the room. Being an O.A.P. I did not have a 'smartphone' to receive any details!!
Clean, easy to access, comfortable
A little trouble with the pin pads at first
Late night access is confusing in the dark. No ice from refrigerator or trays. Nina's mailbox was "full".
The place was exactly what I was looking for. Clean, nicely set up with the right amount of amenities. The only concern was the communication wasn't great. I was sent wrong checkin instructions, had to call a number and wait for the host to call me back for the right instructions
A good location from the airport and to the ferry to the islands. Its reasonably easy to get into downtown, but you have to use bus and train.
Bit unclear as to whether we were sharing a bathroom or had it to ourselves.
Misleading post! The post states you get the entire house for yourself but that’s not the case. The property is shared with the owners and other guests. I made a one week reservation to spend my anniversary with my wife, we were greeted by Nina and another 2 gentlemen thinking they were only going to show us the property. I didn’t want to make a big deal once I noticed the property was to be shared, I figured it must be a common thing to do. On the second day I rented a car which I was asked to only park it in front of the property or on the driveway, no other place even when I suggested I could park it at the end of the street because there was no parking available in front of the property but Nina said no that was not an option. Then later that da was asked to also not park in on the driveway because it was blocking their own cars. It wasn’t until the 3rd day my wife and I were gone for the entire day and came back to the property late afternoon and we noticed there were some stains in the toilet so I let Nina know that wasn’t neither one of us which it wasn’t taken very well by the gentleman and Nina. I got called weird and the gentleman demanded me to go to sleep, but instead I decided to leave the property with my wife that same night. We had to look for somewhere else to stay being past midnight and for the remaining days for that week. We booked through Expedia and we were refunded after knowing the situation we went through.
The house isn’t very big, but it is clean and comfortable.
Very clean and well located...at walking distance for fast-food restaurant, market and pharmacy. Internet hardly works so it was not possible to do much work. The TV also block regularly since it is linked to internet and does not have much to offer.
The safety
Hostess went away and we did not receive instructions on how to get into the property until we were in transit to Vancouver. We did not have data on our phone and were unable to read the text she sent to us on how to get in. Luckily we were able to reach her at the phone # provided to us. We had spent much time on the website looking at her available rooms and were certain we had reserved a room in the newly-renovated section of the house. On arrival we found we'd been put in the old, dark, very dated section of the house. Kitchen counters, stove and all the stuff on the counters felt greasy and in need of some attention with Mr. Clean. Room was very small with no working reading light. Appreciated that the hostess was away because this gave us essentially private accommodation since the one other very nice young renter was out most of the time. Would not choose to stay here again (at least not in the old upstairs section of the house).
Nice area, lots of very good restaurants within walking distance
Room was basically two double beds and a bathroom, and a small tv and desk. No frills but that's fine by me. Straight to the point. Neighborhood was very quiet and safe. Self-check in was organized by email, no staff on-site. There was a small mishap when another guest entered the room while I was there. It turns out they had been given the same room as me! Problem was easily resolved and they were given another room. I just can't imagine what would have happened if I had been checking in late at night.
Thank you Nina for having me stayed at your property for 5 days. Overall, I enjoy my stay and these are the reasons why: 1. Your property is located in a quite and thief free neighborhood. I parked my car on your street for 5 nights and no one touched it. I am thankful for this. 2. Your property is located 5 minutes drive away from a food plaza. This is a plus. 3. My room is considered a regular size room, about 10ft width at 14ft length. It’s just the perfect size for me since I am a solo traveller. I am thankful that I had my own bathroom within my room which was very convenient and clean. 4. My bed was extremely soft and comfortable. As you mentioned, it’s a new mattress. I notice that the bed covering was real clean. A+ 5. I was kinda uncomfortable with the shared kitchen and living space but I got accustom to it. I also got the privilege to meet a few couples who stayed there as well. To be considered for future stays: The only the thing missing is: A clock in my room. I recommend a regular wall clock or an alarm clock. It’s good to have a make up remover or shower cap for ladies. Some hotels have these but not all of them. A small toothpaste, toothbrush and lotions for travellers who might forget this. Lastly, adjustable dim switched for the bright lights within the rooms. Otherwise than these minor stuff, my trip couldn’t have need better. Thank you once more.
Excellent facilities and cleanliness on top.
Rooms and bathrooms nicely clean
Self check in was chaotic, door wouldn’t open due bad installation
The advertised space was not the actual room the property owner provided.
There was no street number given one booking. Com, so had to phone. It's student housing with a tiny room and way overpriced
The owner went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She was pleasant and always ready to help.
Stayed 4 nights in room 2. Very clean and modern private bathroom. Well-equipped common kitchen with coffee, tea, cream, and on-demand hot water. Very quiet neighborhood. There are several units in this home and no resident manager. The pillows were comfy, but the bed was brutal and hard as a rock... like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. I wound up sleeping on top of 3 pillows. The room was clean with a small desk and closet. Lighting was very bright with 4 pot-lights in the ceiling, a lamp would be a nice touch for night time. A hook on the back of the bathroom door would also help. No air conditioning, so it is a bit stuffy. Huge sundeck and big yard.
it was nice and clean it was quiet it had Wi fi walking distance to restaurants
Clean & immaculate, proximity to shopping and restaurants. Host is hospitable
Comfortable bed, better price than alternatives, friendly, good communication
This place was completely misrepresented on Booking.com. We thought it was a small hotel/inn. When we got there it was in a residential area and there was no-one there to check us in. a "property manager" living in a decrepit RV in the driveway attempted to let us in with his keys. We felt so uncomfortable with the situation that we did not want to stay there and left immediately without using the room. A complete disaster!! WE WERE FORCED TO DRIVE AROUND THE AREA AND IT TOOK 2 HOURS FOR US TO FIND ACCOMMODATION. We finally checked in at the Abercorn Hotel - a lovely place!!!
See comments above.
How much peaceful and clean the place was.
Room with queen bed was so small and the natrual light wasn't that much but other things were amazing. Especially the house owner was so respectful and kind.
The bathroom was not inside the room , the room was very small and there were people speaking loud until late and early morning.
Lady was loud at night and In the morning
in a quiet neighbourhood despite the fact it was close to main roads
lack of privacy
I liked everything, for what you're paying the place is more than expected. Nice neighborhood too, seriously, check this place out if you're on a budget.
Exelente servicio, muy limpio todo
Its not a hotel or motel so there are no front desk persons to interact with. I never met Nina the property manager but I have no idea what she looks like...I mentioned that because it was hard to understand her based on my limited talking interactions. I got the feeling Nina's first language was not English. The overall stay was good, no complaints whatsoever.
Nice place
Exceptionally quiet place and neighborhood. Room was thoroughly clean. The door alarm batteries weren’t working but the housekeeper changed the batteries immediately. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Cute little home with everything you need and still feel like you have privacy despite living with others
nothing Nina was lovely
Hospitality was wonderful. Host was welcoming.and kind.
Good
very nice home, quiet and clean. feels like staying at family house
We enjoyed the king bed, the large common area living room, dining room and kitchen. It was nice to cook our breakfast with organic eggs there for us in the fridge! The cleaning gal was there several times a day so it was sparkling clean all over!
Very quiet residential area, like's home feeling, clean room for mid-term stay. Not too far to transit system.
