Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Very quiet location; street parking was right in front; decor inside was calming. Second bedroom is more of a storage space, and the discovery of a washer and dryer in that room's closet was a highlight. No searching for a laundromat--how relaxing, allowing us to continue with our usual routine. The local Save-On Food store was just a couple of klicks away. Nice sized fridge. Four bottles of water waiting for us. The Keurig machine worked quickly; easy to fill. And there is an electric kettle. There is also a full size gas range, but we didn't use it. The bathroom is large; shower and supply of hot water more than satisfactory.
There is a second suite on the other side of a connecting door. No issues on the first evening; the guests there were very, very quiet. Second evening the family included children--the noise didn't last long but it was obvious. The toilet and shower in the other suite were noticeable when used. The WiFi worked well, but my iPhone and computer were telling me that "weak security" was identifiable. (We did not use the 65-inch TV also stored in the second room.)

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026The suite was immaculate, clean and very comfortable. It was complete with coffee for the am and all amenities ifbyou chose to cook a meal. The host was quick to welcome you and answer any questions.
It was a bit farther from the airport then I imagined. I used public transport so their was more walking involved. I should have brought jy vehicle.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2025May is super nice & the whole experience was easy. We arrived in late at 12.30am she had the room ready & checked on us prior to arriving about needing anything. The room is super clean with a good shower/bathroom. Also has a washing machine/dryer in case you need to get some done while here. Would stay again next time we are in Vancouver as it’s also close to the airport.

Reviewed Oct 7, 2024Flexible host regarding check in etc. Very nicely designed and decorated room and separate own entrance with key a real bonus, as was lift to airport.
Only downside was a constant low hum all the time. One of the bedside lights has the switch underneath and is useless for reading in bed. I think there needs to be clarification as "shuttle to airport" is stated but I was not sure this would be available 100% of the time.

This was an excellent service offered by May who went out of her way to help us. We can certainly recommend staying at May's property, Her facilities are excellent. It even includes a equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own food (check with the host for kitchen items available at the property). Everything was super clean and ready for our arrival, we will definitely try to stay here again soon!
It can be a little far away from Downtown Vancouver and other tourist areas, but besides from that everything else was amazing.

She provided valuable information concerning transportation and businesses in the area. I thought it was great that she wanted my immediate feedback about my stay and anything she could do to make her place better. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a living room kitchen combo with comfortable seating and all the amenities needed for my stay plus some extras like water, coffee and snacks. There were two bedrooms but I only utilized one. The bed was big and comfortable. I loved that there was a nice fan that kept me cool. I tend to be hot when others are comfortable or cold and the fan accommodated me. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The place was nice.
The bedroom was not dark enough due to the light coming through the blinds but I was assured that was being addressed with some black out curtains. So the next guest should be fine if that's a necessity.

Reviewed May 15, 2024Everything about Home Sweet Home was perfect.😀 The location is quiet and very convenient to the airport as well as being in walking distance to local shopping and many good quality eating options. The unit was spacious and exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfy. We had a very good sleep after travelling internationally for the previous 36 hours. May, the owner, went out of her way to accommodate our needs – and happily dropped us at the airport for our early-morning flight to continue our journey across Canada. Staying here made our long journey all the easier and we will happily stay again when next doing this trip. Highly recommended - thank you May!
